ITunes does not load after upgrading to 7.4.2!

Installed iTunes 7.4.2 just right now. When I try to start it, all it will do is quickly flash "iTunes" in the menu bar without starting; sometimes not even that will occur. I opened the Activity Monitor to watch the app; iTunes does appear to start when I double-click by showing up in the monitor; however, after a few seconds it disappears.
Anybody know what's going on?

Do you have QuickTime 7.2 installed from the Apple website?
Make sure to remove any "hackies", betas, and ShapeShifter, if installed.
Go to /Library/Receipts/drag iTunesX.pkg to the trash and empty.
Repair permissions ..... RESTART
Reinstall iTunes 7.4.2 (Mac) from the Apple website +without performing any other processes during the download or install!+

Please help: I had to upgrade my itunes when I plugged in my Iphone and now it won't sync. No matter what I plug in (Ipad, Ipad2, Iphone or Ipod) the only thing that happens is the Iphotos will pop up and recognize that I have plugged in my device, but the Itunes does not load and sync. I don't know if I did something wrong, put when it asked if I wanted to use Icloud I clicked no. I don't know if that is my problem now or what. Are you following the instructions from this article in the Apple Knowledge Base, in particular the renaming of the .itl file from the Previous Libraries folder?

ITunes does not start after upgrade

I'm sorry if this has already been answered, but I've looked everywhere and can't find a solution to this.
After recently getting the software upgrade for iTunes, It does not boot anymore. After accepting the iTunes agreement i get this error message
"The iTunes application could not be opened. An unknown error occured (-50)."
Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't help. I've read some solutions for this on the windows machines and it has something to do with the sound card I believe.

ok, so I am not sure if this is legal or not, but there is a site called oldversion. Go there, and you can get past versions of applications such as aim , and in this case, itunes. just uninstall your other itunes first.
Sometimes different versions of appications run better on different computers. this new itunes probably just has something the last one didnt that cant run with what you have on your computer

Itunes does not sync after upgrade to iPhone 5s from 4s, same user id

I have upgraded from iPhone 4s to 5s, but my Windows 8 laptop itunes keeps trying to sync with old iphone 4s (which I do not use anymore) and my new iphone 5s does not sync at all with itunes in Windows 8 laptop. I am using same apple id for iPhone 5s that I used for iPhone 4s. Please help me so that I can sync my iPhone 5s with the existing itunes in Windows 8 laptop.

Apparently something is not being saved somewhere and this technique forces the save. Below is a C&P from another poster describing the technique on a different thread. It's been working for him for some fifteen hours. I tried it and it's been working but it's been only ten minutes. My gut feel is that quitting and relaunching iTunes are critical steps.
With the device connected via cable, click on its icon
Uncheck WiFi syncing
Click Apply
Quit iTunes
Launch iTunes
Check WiFi syncing
Click Apply

ITunes will not load after upgrade - says files missing

i got a prompt that my iTouch had new software for download. I went to download it and was prompted to download the latest version of iTunes first. I did this and now I can not access my iTunes. I get a prompt that iTunes cannot run because some of its required files are missing.
I am not sure what itunes version I had prevously but it was the latest version until I tried to upgrade. my itouch is version 4.1 (8b117). the itouch unit is a 2nd generaton. i am using windows 7 with IE 8.
Please help. what should i do now? I cant get into my iTunes to sync my iTouch

I found out the issue with itunes. I had been using a converter program to convert movies for the itouch and the one I used also required a quicktime codec that must have interfered with itunes...I uninstalled the program...and itunes is back and running great. sorry to have rushed to judgement. I have the same issue.
Allready uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled it, but the same problem occurs.
Icon keeps bouncing, and all that's visible is the first menu-item in the top menu bar, named iTunes. Nothing is clickable though.
The iPhone Configuration Utility doesn't seem to work either, it crashes on uploading an app to my iPhone. I guess it's using some of iTunes' libs or something.
Does anyone know how to get iTunes working again? I'm getting pretty desperate over here...

10.2.8 Finder does not load after getting into OS X

I am pretty sure this happened to a lot of people, as I have read many many messages on this issue.
My computer is a Powerbook 867 with 128built in DDR and 512 added.
40Gb internal HDD and a 40GB firewire 3G ipod (the old 3G).
Here's the problem:
Last night just when I finishsed watching some divx on VLC running on 10.2.8, I quitted VLC using apple+Q, then closed the finder window i opened with apple+W. They both closed, but then the finder just did not respond (or have quitted). There isn't a little triangle below my finder icon on the dock. Everything else on the dock works perfectly fine. Desktop icons have disappeared.
Now I have restarted, nothing helps; went on apple discussion and found some "HELPFUL" solutions - deleting the finder preferences. First how was I suppose to delete it? ok... I installed a 10.2.3 on my ipod and boot it through there, also did a repair permission on my internal HDD. Finally deleted the com.apple.finder.plist.. So I booted up using my internal again. But still... finder DOES NOT LOAD after I got into my OS X.
Please if anyone can give me a solution to this problem!
P.S. the finder on my ipod is working fine. AND I do not want to reinstall OS X on my interal because I only did it last week after it went to service after a HDD fail (it has been replaced).

Check System Preferences - Accounts
Choose you account - login items: If iTunesHelper
shows up - remove it it will prevent re-installation.
It did not have iTunes in the list, just mail and iCal alarm. Deadlines and emails are vital in my home office.
Now that I think about it, adding Mail to the list was the only thing that I had changed to the computer when this happened, but I can't imagine how that would alter permission to install on the OS.

It sounds like you updated iTunes and now it will not open. Try the steps outlined in the following article. You may need to re install iTunes but your library will remain intact if you do.

Site does not load after some minutes of creation or after restart the server

Hello,
I have been asked to create a test enviroment identical to the production enviroment. So, what I did was:
Backed up the production web application's content database: Prod_WSS_ContentDB
Created new test servers (domain controller, sql server and sharepoint 2013 server) in a new, completely isolated, network environment, without any connection with the production environment (specifically Azure)
Created a new web application in test environment with a new content database.
Dismounted the new content database with powershell: Dismount-spcontentdatabase Test_WSS_Content
Copy the Prod_WSS_ContentDB database to the test sql server and restored it with Management Studio.
Mount the Prod_WSS_ContentDB databe to the web application with powershell:
Mount-spcontentdatabse Prod_WSS_ContentDB -WebApplication http://testsp/
Then, when I type http://testsp in the browser it redirects me to http://testsp/SitePages/Home.aspx
and the site loads exactly as the production environment.
But, after some minutes, or if I restart the Sharepoint Server, when I navigate to
http://sitesp I am redirected to http://testsp/SitePages/Home.aspx
as expected, but the site does not load, the browser just show a complety blank page.
The Central Administration site loads normally.
Trying to fix it I found that if I dismount the content database Prod_WSS_ContentDB, then mount the test database Test_WSS_Content,
then navigate to the site, dismount Test_WSS_Content and finally mount again Prod_WSS_ContentDB, the site loads normally, no blank page, but after some minutes or if I restart the same happens again.
For the error event I receice in event viewer it seems that the problem is related to database. I have not found a solution for this error... How can I solve this?

According to your post, my understanding is that Site does not load after some minutes of creation or after restart the server.
Please make sure you create a test environment for existing production site correctly.

I have used Time Machine to migrate from my previous MBP 15 C2D.
I've tried to remove the printer in system pref. and install it again.
The installer works fine but close to the end of the installation a new app is starting: HP Laserjet Firmware Update Utility, which won't start and just stays jumping at the dock, although the HP Installer succeeds to finish installing.
So when i try to print, the printer stays idle.
I have tried to download the installer from HP official website. Same story.
Also tried to do Permission Repair in Disk Utility
Please, if anyone knows a solution, help!

Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.
Or if this doesn't work and nobody else on the blog doesn't have a better idea you can contact Apple.
