ITunes has a problem and they THINK it's me!

This has happened twice to me now.
Was on iTunes and never even clicked anywhere near Tony Bennent Christmas Album and BOOM! my computer starts downloading it and charging me for it. Went round and round with iTunes via email (no one to call) before they credited me back for it. They think it's my fault !
Then 2 days ago, the same thing happens. I am sampling a Kelly Clarkson iTunes Session song and BOOM! The whole dang album starts downloading. Now I'm upset and fire off another email.
This time they credit my account , but also DISABLE IT! LIKE I'M THE CRIMINAL HERE?
I have already decided to start using Amazon for all music until they get this fixed, but now I can't even get iTunes FREE offerings.
This only started after I bought the cloud.  That's all that has changed from a nearly flawless site that I have spent thousands of dollars on.  Now, POOF!  APPLE SCREWS UP AND RUINS IT!

I don't think it is Paul's fault. Apple has changed something. I never bought into the one click option. Whenever I would download an update or some such I would always have to re-enter my password. Also with new purchases. That behaviour changed recently (month or so ago). Now the downloads are automatic. So far just updates and a couple of recent (intended) purchases.
iTunes and devices now ask for my Apple password at start or near startup but I thought that was for iCloud syncing or maybe downloading apps purchased (free or not) on other devices. Apparently not.
I've reset the warnings. I'll have to see how that changes the way iTunes works.
OK, downloading free updates asked for my password in iTunes.

I have tried all the troubleshooting steps:
    1. uninstalling and download again
    2. turn off firewall
    3.run virus scan
    4.open new account
The problem persists, I have my library backed up, but no way to play on my computer. This happened about the same time I upgraded to version 10.7, OS is Vista. Thanks for any assistance.

  • I bougt a new  Macbook pro in 02/26/2013, in  11/25/ 2013, my trackpad become bulging, they exchange the trackpad, but not the bulging battery.  I went there yesterday, with different problem, and they said one screw  came off from the  truckpad again!

I bought a new  Macbook pro in 02/26/2013 from Apple Canadian Ices -003.  Than I could not use it, because  my cursor uncontrollably  was jumping around the screen, I was  resumed my trackpad become bulging, Than on11/25/ 2013 they changed my trackpad for free, because was manufactoring defect,  but not the bulging battery.  They said that is do not needed.  Since that my cursor is quiet often quivering, I think my Macbook has serious  manufacturing defect. But they said no, during a year period I went to  the genius bar at least 15 times, with this and similar problems.   I went there yesterday, with different problems, and they said one of the screws  came off from my   truck pad, therefore they need to fix it and change it.  I said: -  What,  how, what  is the real problem?  A screw does not comes off just like that?  They will change my trackpad again, but not the battery. They said  has to rebuild the operation system, I'm  saving all of my data right now! I would like to exchange the battery too, or maybe get a new Macbook. My Macbook is 2010 China model. How long I would have this trackpad  problem? What are you suggesting?

If it's a 2010 as you say towards the end of your post, it's out of warranty. The battery isn't covered in that case. Why don't you just buy a new battery if that's your concern? If it's a 2013 as you say up at the top, it shouldn't have a bulging battery. How do you know it does? If it really does, ask for the store manager and explain the problem.

  • ITunes has stopped working and has to close message on Win 7

When I plug my phone into the computer iTunes starts to open and then I get an error message that states iTunes has stopped working and has to close.  This seems to only happen while at work and not at home

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

  • During iPhone 4 update or restore, "iTunes encountered a problem and needs to close." Help?

I have the latest version of iTunes, version 10.3. Every time I try to update or restore my iPhone 4, iTunes crashes and gives me the error message "Itunes encountered a problem and needs to shut down." I tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and Quicktime, but no dice. My phone is stuck in a recovery mode loop, and I need to restore it in order to fix it because tinyumbrella, iRecovery, iReb, and RecBoot all didn't work. It just boots back up in recovery mode again. I need to get my iTunes fixed so I can save my phone. Please help.
    Here is the error signature:
    AppName: itunes.exe        AppVer:10.3.1.55     ModName: msvcrt.dll
    ModVer: 7.0.2600.5512     Offset: 000372e3

No, no luck. I went to the Apple store to get my phone out of the recovery loop, but iTunes still crashes whenever I try to sync it or download any large files. I was lucky to get my backup of my phone put into the phone so I didn't lose all my contacts and everything. All I know about the error message is that it has to deal with there being a problem during iTunes interacting with that .dll file. Either the file is corrupt, or the latest version of iTunes works with a different version of that file. I can't figure out how to fix it.

  • Everytime I open itunes I get a message saying itunes has stopped working and windows is looking for a solution

Everytime I open itunes I get a message saying itunes has stopped working and windows is looking for a solution

I have the same issue. An iTunes help page (iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8: Fix unexpected quits or launch issues - Apple Support) suggested I hold down shift and control when clicking to open iTunes, which opens iTunes fine for me. That would mean the problem is in the third party plug-ins that work with iTunes. However, the help pages did not say what to do with the plug-ins once I knew that was the issue. The pages said to find the plug-ins and move them to the Desktop, which I did. That's where the help pages stopped, which is ridiculous. Does anyone know what to do from there?
