ITunes indicates that I have already synced to 5 computer, but I haven't. How do I let the computer know?

I'm attempting to backup my iphone and both my computers indicate I have activated 5 computers and I must deactivate on to add one. However, I have never synced my iPhone. Help, please.

There is an option to de-authorize all the computers.
The only other option is to go to each computer you have authorized and de-authorize each one. If you are like me, and you don't even remember authorizing 5 computers the de-authorize all is the only option.
Go to iTunes and login
Click View Account after you login
Account Information window - deauthorize all.

YOu need to decelect them via iTunes (such as remove them fromt he folder you put them in), then sync to take them off. iTunes put them on, so iTunes needs to take them off.

I had an album on my iPad that didn't have a delete option. I was able to finally remove everything by connecting the iPad to iTunes and going to the Photos tab. Select sync photos. It will ask you if you want to replace all photo on iPad with sync photos. Apply the setting and then un-sync photo again. It will then remove all photos on iPad starting with a clean slate.
Be sure to backup all your photos before doing this. Hope that helps.

I think I am following -- I was able to upload to my iPhoto and all photos and videos are there that is a plus! I tried to create an Event in my iPhoto and put all of my photos in that event but for some reason, now my iTunes it not recognizing that Event in my iPhoto. It is not allowing me to import just that event at the moment but I may be doing something wrong. At least all of my pics and vids are in iPhoto so that is a plus and I know they are at least saved somewhere. Just for some reason, my iTunes it not locating the event that I created with only those photos.

Also, I had no clue that my iCloud could be backed up via cellular data! However, is this a new feature with the most updated iOS?? Unforutnatly I am like 2 iOS updates behind because I don't have enough storage on my phone. I still get the notification that my phone needs to be plugged in and connected to wifi in order to back up to the cloud :-(

My ipod touch won't let me download apps, it tells me that I have too many photos and videos but I haven't got any photos or videos at all.

call the APPLE store, even though it reconize you purchase them already, APPLE will charge you again. it happened to me. when u call them they can resend them to your phone FREE of charge. It makes no sense, i mean they know you already purchase them, then y dont they just allow us to redownload them free of charge.SMDH

But I've got so many apps, and a lot of them have important data that I don't want to risk losing by deleting them all. Surely that can't be the only way to solve this problem. Help, Apple!

I'm having the same issue and the books I'm wanting to sync are checked. It worked on previous audiobooks that I had. In fact, I just finished the two that I had loaded and want to load two more. I only keep two books (4 files) on the device to conserve space. I'm using an iPhone 4 with iOS 4.3.3. there is 3GB free on the iPhone and I don't get any errors when syncing. My music is syncing fine and the books that unchecked were removed from my phone.
I just tried to resync with one of the books that had previously been on my phone. It will not reload on there either. Here's a screen shot of iTunes and below that is the screen shot from my phone after syncing. Thanks for any help.

You have to restore your phone as new to use it again.
That is the only option you'll have since you don't have a backup in iTunes, if you have a icloud backup you can restore from that and get your data back.
Otherwise you can only sync back your purchased items in iTunes.

23 GB of other indicates a corrupt file(s). A restore should resolve.

1) ensure iTunes is authorized for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPad but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPad with it.

You don't mention anything about the music files on your computer that were used to copy into iTunes. If you have moved those files to a different location on you PC you will get that error message from iTunes. This is because iTunes will look for the music files in the original location that they came from on your PC when they were copied. If this is the case you have to tell iTunes to look in the new location for the music files or move the music files back to the original location.
