ITunes & iPhone 3GS are both locked up (trying to sync to OS4.3.3) - PLEASE HELP!
I am trying to sync my iPhone 3GS with iTunes to update to the most current OS, but both are locked up. What do I do?!? Please help
I am having the same problem. I tried to update my iPhone 3GS this morning and the update failed. Then the iPhone disappeared from iTunes and my computer won't recognize that it's plugged in. Also the phone's screen shows the don't-disconnect-because-I'm-updating icon and won't shut down when I hold down the power button. Help.

My iPhone 5s has completely locked up with the iOS8.0.2 update. PLEASE HELP!
I connected my iPhone 5s to iTunes this am and it prompted me to install the iOS 8.0.2 update, which, like an idiot, I accepted.
Now my phone has the screen telling me to connect to iTunes. When I connect to iTunes it says I have to restore my phone. RESTORE? So to keep my idiot streak rolling, I chose to restore now it is giving me an error (4005) and wont restore and my screen is still locked up and I am just sitting here....like an idiot.
Can someone please help me...not be an idiot.
Thanks!There were/are some issues with Windows (PC) and iPhone. Not sure if that is past but there was an update on Windows for iCloud which was one issue also.
As long as: there is more than enough free space for the download/install/update (which with file compression may seem like a lot of wasted space), and you have backup - either should be fine. -

Hi thanks for the tips but I have done most of them including deleting the multitasking bar daily. One of the problem I think is associated with the iCloud and the need to keep the wifi on pretty much at all time OR DO WE?
Not sure yet about iCloud and how to use it properly... Very little is said on how to integrate/sync my iPhone, iPad and my PC using iCloud.
Any advise on this would also be welcome. -

Usually when you get this problem in vista, it is to do with folder permissions.
The account you are using needs full control of the iTunes and iTunes Music folder.

What file did it say was corrupt? What error number? What is showing on your phone right now? What version of iTunes? What kind of computer?

Can't restore my IPhone 3GS, AT&T, Locked. I have already downloaded iOS 6.1.6, but when doing the software update before the restore, the following error message pops up.
Please advise. Thank you. Already talked to Apple Customer Service and they were stumped.*update* GOOD NEWS, EVERYONE! Turns out that I was able to restore my phone from a back up, after two days at it!
Unfortunately, the back up was from a year ago! At this point in time, I'm just glad to have my contacts back, though I feel that now would be be best to make sure I keep backing up my phone to make sure this doesn't happen again o.O -

Since IOS 8, my iPhone 4s reboots many times when trying to sync with iTunes on my Mac. It will start running the backup and reboot, it will reboot many times when updating packages. It can take 12 hours to finish a sync with the mac. The phone gets hot during this. I keep deleting more and more pictures and apps, hoping that maybe it doesn't have enough space, but iTunes shows I have 4.9 Gbytes free, which I think should be enough. I am on IOS 8.0.2, I thought maybe I would try to upgrade to the latest IOS today, but I am worried that I will end up with a non working phone.
Is anyone else having these problems?
EdWell thats Od... I have never experienced that problem.. Maybe you should try to backup your phone and then wipe it by going to Settings<General<Reset
