ITunes repeatedly asks me to verify my email address

I changed my iTunes email over to my gmail account from a hotmail, and iTunes sent the verification email. I clicked the link, verified it, no problem.
I went to log into the iTunes store, and it says I have not verified my account. When I click OK to see how to verify it, it tells me that I have already done so. It's been looping like this for a week or so. Normally, it wouldn't be a big deal, but I've got $20 from a gift card on there and I don't want to loose it.
Any ideas?

after three emails to the express lane (another ridiculous name just like "genius" for the sad droids at the stores), only one of which garnered a response (an incorrect one, too), i rang the apple support line & got a really helpful support droid who contacted the folks responsible for the database & got them to fix my account while i waited. that solved my problem.
you'll probably have to do the same. good luck.

I would go with the presumption that it's phishing. Or at the very least, someone tried to do something with your account.
I'd change the password on your Apple ID, but don't do anything via any link in that e-mail. Sign in via your iTunes and do it through a known good link (as in via the manage your ID part of iTunes)

ITunes isn't letting me verify my email address. Help!!?

I just got an iPod Touch, so i wanted to make an iTunes account, right so once i got the email to verify my account, i clicked on the link.
It says 1 moment please then after a few seconds it freezes. I've left for a while, still nothing.
Also I used diff internet things- Safari and Internet Explorer.
Still Nothing!!!
What should I do?!

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

My facetime is asking me to verify my email address but i do it opened the email and verified than i get an error message saying could not verify email please check network connection. but i am connected to internet what do i need to do to access FaceTime

Apple asks me to verify my email address but when I do, I never receive a verification email

Im trying to use my current Apple ID to set up my iCloud account on my iPad2, iPhone4 and both mac computers. On the ipad, i go to settings>iCloud and enter my apple id and password. It gives me a message telling me to verify my account. So I log into my apple ID settings and click verify account, and I dont get a verification email..... any advice??

Not sure who you isp is, but some have reported that the verification e mails are getting sidetracked into a spam filter. Check there.

I can't download apps! iTunes store ask me to verify my account repeatedly?

I am using iMac OSX 10.6.6 and the iTunes is up to date.
I can't download any app after about 7 pm today, before the time I can download apps using my iMac, iPad, and iPhone. The iTunes Store ask me to verify my account and input my Security code repeatedly, I did and I am sure the code is correct. Then I tried to download again, iTunes Store ask me to verify again, again, and again.....infinite. Can someone tell me what is the problem?
Am I hacked? Even if I don't get any apps purchased by others.
Or, am I locked? I don't use a illegal or jailbroken ipad and iphone.
Please help solve my problem!

Is it normal to receive emails asking to verify apple email address after upgrading to new iPhone 4s

I recently upgraded my phone to an iPhone 4s. The phone works fine purchased things from iTunes, then received two emails asking to verify apple email address within a minute of each other, clinked on one link and verified my email and it told me my email was verified but I would have to go to settings to activate mobile me (don't know what that is but it not on my phone) have not clinked on second email. Is this normal.

MobileMe is dead now.
