Itunes says i dont have enough space to sync my iphone but i do

When I try to sync my Iphone to Itunes it states more space is required but I have 3 times the space it is saying is needed. Please help.

The message probably means you don;t have enopugh space on iCloud to backup the Phone.
iCloud has a 5GB limit. If your backup is more than that then it won't be able to backup.
As far as backing up to your computer, just connect it to your computer, and assuming you have iTunes you can just click on the Backup button in the summary page for your Phone in iTunes.
You can follow the instructions posted by Ramzee.
As to why you can take less photos, probably because you've used more space up with different things. so there's only so much space left for your Photos.
You can look in Settings->General->Usage, to see how much space you have available as well as the App that's taking up the most space.
Also when connected to iTunes in your computer Check how large the "other" category is.
If its more that 1 to 1.2GB then you may have some corruption.

Ipod touch 4g wont sync with itunes saying theres not enough memory never seen that before i dont know what to do

Okay, that's got one thing ruled out at least.
Can you check something for me, big? I'd like to see if iTunes launches with the Bonjour Service disabled.
In your Start menu, right-click Computer and select "Manage".
    Expand "Services & Applications".
Open "Services". (Perhaps maximise the screen to better see what's going on.)
Right-click the Bonjour Service and select "Properties".
In the General tab, set the Startup type to "Disabled":
    ... and click OK.
Restart the PC and try launching iTunes. Does it open this time?

    Is the message saying:
    Not enough storage
    Not enough/low memory?
For the former delete some items from the iPod.
For the latter.double click the home button and close all the apps in the recently used dock. Then power off and then back on the iPod. This frees up memory.

  • Itunes says i dont have enough memory, even though i do

I deleted tonns of music off my iTunes, and when I decided to sync my iPhone, it told me I didn't have enough memory - even though I was syncing less stuff than what was already on the device. I originally had about 1000 photos synced to my iphone from my laptop, which I removed. I have around 2000 pictures on my iphone, but it's telling me Im syncing 3000. I've deleted about all the photos I can bare to and it's still telling me I need an extra 4GB. When I'm sinking and I look at the bar telling me what is taking up memory, it says I have 14GB free - but yet I'm still getting an error saying it can't sync because I need 4GB of memory freed up. Can anyone help me?

What happened prior to this?  I suspect some important details are being left out.

  • IPhone 4s, How do I do a backup on the computer? Phone says I dont have enough space to do it on it.

    iPhone 4s.
How do I do a backup on the computer? My phone says there isnt enough space to do it on the phone. It keeps telling me "phone needs to be backed up". Ive looked at iTunes, iCloud... Im not sure where to go to make it do a back up.
Also, I used to be able to take about over 1,000 pictures with a few videos. Well now, it only allows me about 312 pictures, with one video, then says its "FULL" and turns the camera off. I copy the pictures to my computer and delete them so I have room. But its REALLY annoying how I can now only take about 312 pictures.
Any Help would be sooo appreciated!!
    Thanks!

  • Im trying to download a movie from itunes and it says i dont have enough memory. I can see that I have 13G in icloud but i dont know how to add the movie to that memory

    Hi,
Im trying to download a movie from itunes to my ipad 2 but it says i dont have enough memory. I have 13G of space on icloud but cant figure out how to down load it to icloud. Can anyone advise please.

    Hi back,
Icloud cannot be used to increase internal memory of ipads, otherwise nobody would buy more expensive 32, 64, 128 gigabyte versions. Hype with "movies in the cloud" is more of itunes store, keeping movies available for you in order to download on any device. That does not go against your storage in the cloud, though.
So if you go to your computer and you purchased movie ( not rented ) you can download and watch.
There is something else to pay attention to, your ipad (if I am not mistaken) is not capable to run HD movies, make sure you do buy Standard Definition, and they will take less space on ipad.

  • TS1503 iTunes keeps telling me I don't have enough space to sync the songs and it clearly says 3 GB free and yet it won't sync. Has anyone had this issue ever? Before a week ago I could fit 900 songs and now I can't fit 300.

Okay guys iTunes keeps telling me I don't have enough space to sync the songs and I know that is BS because it clearly says 3 GB free and yet it won't sync. Has anyone had this issue ever? Before a week ago I could fit 900 songs and now I can't fit 300. I know that my phone could fit 800-900 songs and there aren't many apps. There has to be a glitch. Can someone help? Please send me a response if you truly know the answer.

know that is BS because it clearly says 3 GB
Didn't know an iPhone is capable of "BS"! Impressive.  Do the basic troubleshooting steps described in the User Guide:  Restart, Reset, Restore.

    Hello, this might help:
Sales tax is charged on iTunes Store purchases where required by local law. The tax noted on your iTunes Store invoice is an estimate and may not reflect the final charges. The following lists show the states that charge taxes for the respective item types as of October 2011.
    Music
AL, AZ, CO, CT, DC, DE, HI, ID, IN, KY, LA, ME, MS, NC, NE, NJ, NM, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, WA, WI, WV, and WY
    Videos

    Applications, Software, and iPod Games

There is no sales tax on the purchase of an iTunes Gift Certificate, Gift Card, or Allowance. When any of these are used toward purchases made on the iTunes Store, sales tax will be added to the total of the purchase if the billing address on the purchaser's account is in a state where digital downloads are taxable.

  • I need help i have just bought snow leopard for my mac reading that it can be downloaded onto a 10.4.11 1.86GHz Intel Core 2 Duo but it says i dont have enough ram space how can i solve this?

Other than Apple there are only two vendors with which I have personal experience and can recommend: Crucial and OWC. People have reported problems with many other brands, yet Crucial and OWC's prices are as good as any you are likely to find. Patriot is another brand recommended by ASC contributors but I have no experience with them.
Go to Crucial and download the little app that examines your system and recommends RAM upgrade options.
Their prices are good but don't have to buy memory from them - determine what you need and buy it from Crucial or OWC / MacSales.

last night i erase everything in my jailbroken ipod 4  ios 4.1     and it freezed up  . now when i restore it with itunes it says i done have enough space in my ipod now can i delete everything in this state . please help !!!

Jailbreaking voids the Apple warranty and also means that you will not get any support from Apple, including from this Apple forum. Jailbreaking can't be discussed in this Apple forum.
Unauthorized modification of iOS has been a major source of instability, disruption of services, and other issues

My computer is running SO slow. The intermet also keeps freezing up and I have to turn airport off then back on/refresh before it will work again. I dont have enough space on my start up disc to run certain programs. It will say I need to quit programsin order for things to run.  Easiest way to fix? Im not great with computers!
Running mac os x version 10.6.8

Easiest way is to have an external drive to which you copy the things you store like pictures, movies, and music
which take up a lot of space. Then delete them fron the main drive and clean it up with one of the maintenance utilities. You can readily access the external drive's contents whenever you wish.
