ITunes TV Shows section

How do I get a season to show in this folder when I have imported the season my self? I have copied it from DVD's & iTunes automatically files under Movies.

Found how to do it now, sorry for this pointless post.

I am based in the UK and have just got a new iphone 6, everything works well except when i try to turn on the itunes store app - i can do a search and buy music etc that way, within the app, however, if i go to Music, Movies or the TV shows section within the Store app, i get a message come up saying "Item Not Available" - This item you've requested is not currently available in the UK Store, but it is available in the US store. Tap Change Store to view this item". I therefore cannot browse the music, movies or tv shows sections at all, nothing shows up except that message. All my previous itunes purchases have downloaded ok, and i can access them. My apple ID works fine and restrictions on the iphone are turned OFF. The App Store app works normally. Connection etc is all fine and I can access itunes in the normal way on my ipad and laptop, so this is just an iphone problem. Any ideas? is this a bug? I cant find anyone else with exactly the same problem. By the way, the same message comes up when i click on the red Music icon, on the iphone (situated next to the Safari icon) and then go to the "Store" via that app. my playlists are in tact, but as soon as i click that Store button, I am told that the Item is unavailable - not that i have chosen any Item lol, I just want to access the store in the normal way. It is working now. I no longer get the message about the item not being available in the US and I can access the store.

I have to actually same problem today 23.10.2012. For an example I have only changed billing methods and have bought hundreds of apps but I remember clearly that I bought for an example ,,Wikipanion Plus'' and ,,OPlayer'' which is now HD OPlayer and I did not see them in purchased items, neither ,,not on ipad/iphone'' nour ,,not on my computer'' and I check in both my computer. I confirm hereby that I took the chance to re-buy these two Apps again through the same account but I got the message ,,As you have bought the previous version on this account you will get this update for free'' so I clicked yes and I got them both. This doesnt only proof that I have purchased them before and purchased items in iTunes Store has some lacks to fix but also it proofs that I also bought them through that specific account as I had to confirm the buying process. In my opnion this is not a thing which Apple should be relaxed with as its very important that powerusers and regular consumers can trust and rely on doing business and to shop via iTunes. I have a lot of expensive Apple Hardware and for me this is a stepping stone and a serious test on the circle of trust. If this cant be fixed I cannot recommend others to trust the store.

ITunes 7 crashed when I browsed the TV show section (every time)

Whenever I go to the TV show section for iTunes 7, the program crashes on me. It claims that I don't have DirectX - which I do have.
How do I fix this?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

ITunes store crashes when I open Movies/TV shows section

Hello everyone,
My iTunes hangs the computer whenever I open the Movies or TV shows section in iTunes Store. The program just stop responding, and then the whole computer kinda stops too. I've tried ctrlcommandesc but nothing comes up, so I had no choice but to shut the power down and restart. I did try to uninstall and reinstall iTunes, but it's still doing the same thing. Does anyone else have this problem? It's getting ridiculous because I've heard so much about Macs supposedly being immune to crashes, and now it's crashing from it's own software. Can anyone give me any suggestions to the cause of the problem and how to solve it? Any feedback will be extremely helpful.
I'm using iMac running on Mac OS X 10.5.5; iTunes 8.

I also have a similar problem. Every time I tried to access TV shows or Movies from iTunes store, it crashes but it only hangs up iTunes so I do not need to restart. I could save some money because of not buying stuff so it may not be so bad...
that is a completely different problem, i've seen that whole clean reinstalls help that... the itunes store freeze is a 20" imac problem, but not all 20"imac problem, which is why you need to be persistent when contacting apple reps, point them to the half a dozen threads here about this problem. (organize before you call, then start reading the threads, the important ones)
(work around it by putting the itunes in an old browser mode, "cmnd-b" when searching or doing anything in the itunes store area)

Some iTunes TV shows not playing on Apple TV (1st Gen)

I purchased several seasons of a show a couple of years ago. I used to have no problem syncing or streaming all of the seasons onto ATV. Recently, I can only stream or sync some of the shows. I can transfer the content that won't play on ATV to my iPhone or iPad with no problem. I use Custom Sync and when I click sync, the sync icon starts but then immediately stops. ATV also won't "see" those shows when attempting to stream. I have tried resetting ATV to factory and then installing all updates; nothing works. Help.

There are a couple of posibilities.
Make sure the tick box next to the individual episodes are checked in the TV Show section (not the AppleTV device section).
Your itunes database may be corrupted and tripping over in some way. Unlikely if you can transfer to iPhone.
Could you have deleted/moved the files using Finder and itunes still thinks they're there but can't find them? Unlikely if you can transfer to iPhone.
iTunes may for some reason be thinking these files are not compatible with AppleTV 1 - possible if there's been some change to the way iTunes assesses suitability for AppleTV.
iTunes is failing to sync with AppleTV due to a network issue.
Personally, I would try both the following:
1 - Ensure you have a backup of the TV Shows outside of iTunes. Delete the TV Shows from iTunes. Re-add them from the backup. Try again.
2 - Create a new test user account, configure AppleTV for sharing/streaming only under AppleTV's Computers menu for this iTunes. Add the problem files to the new user iTunes account, do they work from there?

I have an Ipod classic, and am trying to figure out how to move a video file from the "Movie" section to the "Tv Shows" section. I have Itunes version 1.3 which for my device is listed as the most current version.

If your device is not recognized by iTunes, I would recommend the steps in the article below. Start with the section labeled Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed > For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 > Update the Apple Mobile Device Driver.

Get rid of iTunes TV shows icons "to buy" in apple video player iPad?

When I look at tv shows in video player on iPad, the window is clogged up with many icons for awful tv shows that Apple wants me to buy.
How do I get rid of these?

You only see those shows if you tap on Episodes and then tap on Show Complete Season. Try tapping TV Shows in the upper left corner to go back to your main TV shows section of the videos app.
Either that or you are confusing these shows that you have purchased and are showing as being in iCloud. You can remove those by going to Settings>ITunes and App Stores>Show All>Videos>Off.

ITunes Tv shows view not displaying all Artwork

I recently purchased 2 seasons of a show, each sold separately, each with it's own Artwork. When viewed in iTunes Tv Shows list it is only showing 1 Artwork for both seasons. I can go into the Get Info section and see the correct Artwork for each Seasons but it isn't displayed in the listing.
Is there someway to get this to show up?

I am having the same problem. It seems itunes has not programmed it to show different artwork for the same show, even if there are different seasons. I am hoping a new update soon will take care of this. The only way I know to get around it is to go into the get info for each episode for one season and add a space after the show title. Each episode then will show their own artwork, because the titles will be a little different, however, when syncing to my ipod, it shows up as the tv show listed twice, which *****.

Can't view TV Shows section after ios 5 update?

Does anyone know why I cant see the TV shows section under Videos? Before IOS5, I can view movies, but theres also a TV show section right under. Now even after classifying my vids as TV shows in iTunes, I still can't see this on my itouch 4g.

ITunes TV show download problem

I successfully downloaded Battlestar Galactica episode: Torn after installing iTunes 7.0.2. After restart, the episode is nowhere to be found. It isn't listed in my purchases or in the TV Shows section of the library. Of course, the Store's "check purchases" shows I already downloaded it.
It looks like others have had trouble with this episode, but mine downloaded with no trouble. It seems to have disappeared. What should I do? Where can it be?

I have this problem right now with about 30 episdoes bought with season passes...no solution yet. But at least try searching - and make sure to select all hard drives (internal and external) where they might be. Files like this dhow up under "Other" in the search hierarchy - as an .mp4 file. Use only part of the name to search to make sure you don't fall prey to a typing error...also, if you have downloaded any other tv shows, search for them to see the path where they are stored...

Tv show section dissapears out of nowhere....

Hi guys, i need a little help, my ipod's tv show section just dissapears...on my ipod...still shows up on itunes...but its gone from my ipod..i have to sync a new show on there to make it come back, but when it does come back it stays for a day or two and then goes away again. i tried restoring my ipod, no luck, any thoughts?

I can't answear your TV show question, but I have just experienced the same thing with my Radio section. I have a radio remote and have been listening to FM stations for about 2 weeks. Today the Radio section has disappeared from the main menu on my IPod. It's still on ITunes. Hope someone can help us both.

ITunes TV Show Store has vanished from AppleTV???

The iTunes TV Show Store is missing from my AppleTV - bought just before the release of the current model.
By this I mean the list that appears under TV Shows on the main menu - Favorites, Top Shows, Networks and Search.
Only "My TV Shows" appears with the episodes that I have sync from my Mac.
There is the usual Cover Flow on the top of the screen for the most popular TV series, and from there I can access a very limited "Other Customers Also Bought".
I can use the Add To Favorites but the Favorites section still does not appear in the list on the main menu.
The iTunes Music and the Movie Store still appear and work correctly with all their functions.
I did have to restore the AppleTV to factory settings last week, but it was working fine after that.
The TV Show list just disappeared at some point on Saturday evening (I think).
I've tried other iTunes Stores that sell TV Shows like France and the UK, but I'm getting the exact same problem.
I was going to try another factory restore, but I thought I should see if this is a problem others are having (google shows nothing) - especially since the list just vanished while the device was in standby.
