Itunes wont allow me to dragand drop movies in to my ipod

What happens is, when I open my itunes and select, drag and go to drop the video in my devices section, the whole devices area highlights, instead of just the "Movies" section being highlighted. My ipod is connected before I do any of this.
Can anyone help me?

Hi, welcome to Apple Discussions.
Don't worry, that's normal behaviour, just let go when the area lights up. iTunes knows you want to drag one or more files onto the device but it won't have worked out what kind each file is at this point. When you let go each media type will go into the correct source. The same thing happens if you try to drag files onto the library.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

To restore from backup see:

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

ITunes Wont allow me to download movies in HD...

I use my mac mini as a itunes server on my network.
I remote VNC in to that mac mini when ever i want to make a puchase, the reason i do it this way is so, that that server has all of my media. It can share that with all of my devices on my network, like apple tvs macbook air an so on. itunes running on that server assumes i want to watch that HD movie on it. so it refuses to let me download it. Its error says HD content can not be played on this computer. (Little does it know its just a remote computer hidden in my closet lucky to see the sun shine.)

I am unable to use the control buttons to move to the next song on my playlist/library. When i hit the next or previous buttons the song stops. also, if i let the song play through to the end it doesn't begin playing the next song on the list. any help is appreciated.

Purchased movie from Itunes wont sync with Iphone but rental movie will????

I purchased a movie from Itunes and it shows up in my library movies but it wont sync with my iphone. Before I bought the movie i rented a movie to make sure it works and I liked the format so I know that it can auto sync with the iphone. In they Sync section of Itunes under videos it only has 2 headings. Rental movies and TV shows. There is no option for Movies at all so it does not even come up to transfer it over to the phone like with the rental.
I have solved the problem temporarily but would love help on a proper fix. If I check the box manual merge music and videos on the summary page I can get the movie over by dragging it from the library and dropping it into the phone but it still does not show up under the video tab but is on the phone. This then deletes all my music and I have to manually sync that as well.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am using a mac book with an iphone and a move in Itunes that I actually paid for - from itunes. I just cant figure it!

I think the layout in sync could be improved for movies perhaps putting Purchased Movies right after Rental Movies. When I am on that tab, Rental Movies (I have none and it tells me so) and then TV shows are visible on the screen with lots of blank space under. I had to scroll down to find the movie sync option (which may seem pretty obvious - but with all the white space after TV shows, I didn't notice that the scroll bar had room to scroll further). Yes, I feel a little stupid (and grateful to you for making the solution so obvious), but I do think the tab layout contributed to my ineptness.

i usually buy iTunes cards from the store, apply them to my account and let the balance sit until i feel like making a purchase. i have credit on my account but the iTunes store will not allow me to purchase using my credit. it keeps asking me to pay by credit card....any body know how to fix this?

HELP HELP!!! iTunes wont sync my TV Shows and Movies after 2.0 update.

Last week I went away on holiday on the 11th. That meant I never managed to get the iPod Touch Update until Ihad arrived and found an Internet Connection. When I started to do the update I had a problem because the restore of all of my content that should be done after the update failed. I worked round that by setting it up as a new Ipod and re-importing my itunes library. Now when I go to try and sync my iPod Touch it syncs everything but my Movies and TV Shows. It comes up with the following:
Attempting to copy to disk "iPod Touch" failed. An unknown error occured (-69).
I searched for this on Google and no luck. I try over and over again and comes up with the same problem.
Can anyone help me?????

Welcome to the Apple Community.
First you should try logging out of your iTunes Store account (settings > iTunes Store > accounts) and then back in again.
If that doesn't help, try resetting the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings). You should also try restarting your router.
If both of the above don't help, you should try a restore (Settings > General > Reset > Restore).

ITunes not allowing me to drag/drop songs into iPod Touch

i have a little over 25 gigs of music on my computer. i have space for only 14 gigs of music on my iPod, so i don't want it to sync my library automatically. however, when i try to drag/drop music like i have with my other iPods (this is my third one) it won't let me...it gives me the little symbol like in ghostbusters but without the ghost in the middle, y'know? like i said, i need to upload stuff manually because my Touch doesn't have space enough for my whole library...so what gives??
edit: i have the latest versions of iTunes and the latest iPod software, and i've restarted both my PC and iPod since installing said updates.
edit (again): nevermind, i'm a fool. right there on the iPod homepage there's a box under "options" and i just had to click "manually add songs." so, i answered my own question, holler.

Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible.
*View > Toolbars
*Right-click empty toolbar area
Use Toolbar Layout (Customize) to open the Customize window and set which toolbar items to display.
*check that "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
*if "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette into the Customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
*if missing items are in the toolbar palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
*if you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar setup

TS3354 iTunes not allowing for HD playback of movies.

I have an Alienware m17x with a very highpowered graphics card, more than capable of playing back movies in HD, and iTunes will not let me. I have windows 7 and all the latest software updates on both my computer and iTunes. What the **** apple???

If apple does not have a fix for this, I will be the annoying customer who demands all my money back for the videos I have purchased in HD. I have the necessary equipment.

Every time I open iTunes up it shows says "you do not have enough privileges for this operation". I click okay and then it says "Some of the purchased items on the iPod "my iPod," including "Judas," could not be transferred to your iTunes library because you are not authorized for them on this computer. Would you like to authorized this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store? If you fo not authorized this computer, you will not be able to transfer items purchased on your iPod back to your iTunes library." I click authorize. I enter the info but then it says "There was an error storing your authorization information on this computer. The required directory was not found or has a permissions error. Correct this permissions problem and try again, or deauthorize this computer if the permissions cannot be changed". I have tried many times but nothing works. I have followed all the suggestions on here but nothing works. Then it whipped out all of my apps on my iPod. What should I do?
