Iview for surveys

Hello experts,
can anyone kindly let me know the <b>iview</b> required to display and create Surveys in the Portal (portal version 7) so that it can be added into the workset.

Hi Sanjay,
Unfortunately, we do not have an iView for activation. You may need to develop a custom iView to pull in report RHECM_CHANGE_PROC_STATUS. Since that report is intended to run from R/3 and in bulk (read: background), you would want to consider data volume, browser compatibility to display results and last but not the least, security.

Here is how you need to do:
first get the complete url using CAF Design time Instantiation Tab
Create a URL iView till AInstantion, something like this
http://XXX/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/cafeugpuiinst/AInstantiation
Now you need to Add URL Parameters like
process.template.id - give the value which you have it in complete URL
process.autostart - If you want to start the process automatically.
We have used it in our project and it is working fine.

*This is my scenario :* How to Use the same iview for both KM End User and the KM Administrator but with different Context
Menu Options.
i followed these steps but im getting same context menu for both KM End User and the KM Administrator .
Assign the role Content Administrator to the user km_admin. This is needed so that km_admin can change
the presentation settings for the KM Folder u201EReports_kmFolder‟.
Now, login with user km_admin. Navigate to the Km Folder reports_kmFolder through Content Administration
-> Km Content. Click on Details link of the folder reports_kmFolder.
Go To Settings -> Presentation. Click on the tab u201ESettings for You‟-> Click on button u201ESelect Profile‟.
Select the radio button corresponding to u201Elayout Set‟, and choose u201EConsumerExplorer‟ from the dropdown.
Click u201EOK‟.
Select both the check boxes corresponding to Items Affected as shown above, and click u201ESave‟
Now, remove the u201ESuper Administrator‟ role from the user km_admin and login with this user.
How rto resolve this????

Hello Prasad,
Most likely the user km_admin still has system principal roles assigned, even though you removed the Super Admin role, you should check that this user doesn't have any other admin roles, otherwise it will be considered a System Principal user and will therefore still have access to all content. Try creating a new user with just read access to the content and you should see that it will not be able to make any changes etc.

How to use different iViews for variables and queries?

Hi all!
I need to use separtate iViews for storing variables and extracting queries.
For example, I have one variable "Currency" for two different queries, and I need that all of these queries (in separate iViews) would use the value of currency was put by user in the first iView with only one input.
How can I do this task? Is it possible at all?

You have to use EP client framework (EPCF) in your development.

Error while creating a iView for a deployed EAR File on EP

I have a EAR file deployed on Portal. Now When I am trying to create a URL iView its showing error which probably is due to the Same Machine (Portal installation and EAR). But I have to make a iView for that.Can anyone give me a idea how I can create it?

FPN: No ESID found error while invoking BEx iviews for Reports.

Hi Everybody,
We have a federated portal network [FPN] setup. We are EP 7 SP15 for both Consumer portal and BI producer portal.
The content is delivered to users via RRA Remote Role Assignment ] in consumer portal for BI portal roles from Producer bi portal.
The problem is when we are trying to access BEx iviews for Reports i get the error: Internal error No esid found.
The BEx iview for Queries are running fine but the problem is for BEx iviews for Reports in consumer portal.
All reports are running fine in producer BI portal.
Consumer portal AD UME and producer portal is ABAP UME.
Please help to fix this.

I also wanted to point out that we are not experiencing this issue in our Dev enviornment, and all content was transported to Q. Only in Q are we getting this issue.

Standard MDM iView for Creation of Record

Hi All,
We have requirement to create a record in MDM through Portal.
Are there any standard iViews available in Portal content of MDM, which can create or update a record in MDM repository?
In the Portal content we have found following two SCA
BPMDMAPPLI04_0.SCA
BPMDMTECHN04_0.SCA
We have deployed them on the portal server, we are able to see search and itemdetail iViews for standard repository.
But we are not able to see iViews for creation of record.
In one of the document it has been given that SP 04 extended (imporved) functionality offers Data Entry and Maintenance (CURD operations) can also be performed.
But availability of the iViews not mentioned anywhere.
Anyone has already implemented such kind of functionality or scenario?

But I am not able to find out the SCA's which are mentioned in the above document for GP and CAF.
I tried searching on service market place also.
In portal Contenet of SP 04 i have found only two SCA's
BPMDMAPPLI04_0.SCA
BPMDMTECHN04_0.SCA
I am not able to find following SCA files.
H2G_GuidedProcedures.sda
H2G_SourceCode.zip
Can tell me how do i get those SCA's?

Standard iviews for Customer Master, Vendor Master etc. ??

Hi all,
Do we have standard SAP providecd iviews for creation and change of Customer master, Vendor master, Asset Master, GL Account, Cost Center, Cost Element etc. in R/3 from the portal??
We are using mySAP ERP 2005. Please let me know if there is any such possibility. If yes, if some one can give me some links to access the same, that would be great.

You can get details in table KNA1 in transaction SE11 or SE16
Else get field value "ADRNR" from table "KNA1" and pass it to table "ADRC" and get details.

Developing JSP iViews for PCR on R/3 4.6C Backend??

I have read several posts and have looked into a lot of documentation, but there still seems to be some confusion regarding MSS/PCR and EP 6.0.
Here is some background:
We are planning to upgrade our portal from Workplace 2.11 to SAP EP 6.0 (NW04). We have an R/3 4.6C backend and we are using ITS forms for our PCRs.
When we move to the EP 6.0, I see two ways of proceeding:
1. Use IAC iView on ITS and just call our ITS based forms from the EP 6.0. This means we keep our standalone ITS.
OR
2. Develop JSP iViews for our PCR forms on EP 6.0. This way, we would no longer need ITS.
My confusion is whether I can actually do option 2. After upgrading to EP 6.0 and installing the plug in 2003.1, can I develop PCR forms using JSP iView with a R/3 4.6C backend?

I am not sure anyone can give you specific guarantees regarding development and use of your own custom JSP iviews ITS or otherwise
What I can say is -->
Certainly from a SAP perspective the delivered MSS Business Package 60.1.20 (HTMLB with JSP PCRs) is useable
in the landscape versions you mentioned (46C with EP6) as per following link

Therefore MSS PCRS based on JSP is possible in EP6 with 46C
Its also not clear why your ITS based forms are being abolished - if you back-end remains 46C - then presumably these should
still work - either called directly via ITS URL string given to users or integrated into EP 6 as a ITS iview or Portal HpF service calling ITS URL directly - the only reason I can think is that perhaps your ITS forms has a Workplace 2.11 dependancy or other dependancies I am not aware of.

I want to create an IVIEW for an ABAP Webdynpro application in the enterprise portal.

The process is almost exactly the same as creating a Web Dynpro Java iView. You simply chose the ABAP instead of the Java radio button when you reach that step in the Web Dynpro iView creation process. There is a video on the topic here:

Question on MDM SP03 iViews for editing in EP

Hi all,
I have a problem using the edit function in a SP03 MDM iView.
I have a ResultSet + ItemDetail iView for my main table and a ResultSet + ItemDetail iView for the lookup table. But when I try and edit a record, I can only edit the attributes in the main table, not the ones from the lookup table.
How can I join those iViews to be able to edit ALL attributes of one record?

thanks for your help. But I still can't solve my problem.
The repository looks like this:
the main table is 'Customer' and one look-up field ist 'bank account', which refers to the 'Bank account' lookup table.
While I can see the defined display fields of Bank account (account number and bank code) in my 'customer' iView, I can not edit them.
I made a second ResultSet and a second ItemDetail iView for the bank information. But when I try to edit or create a customer, I can only change the attributes in the main table, not the display fields of the lookup table.
Yet, when I want to create / edit a customer, I also may have to update his account information.
I thought about adding these fieds as attributes to the main table, but I have lots of additional information about the bank in the lookup table (like address, IBAN ...) so I don't want those to clog up my main table.
Is there a way the event of clicking 'edit' or 'create' in the main table iView can be somehow forwarded to the lookup table iView as well?

I implemented the tutotial "Modeling VisuaModeling Visual Composer iViews for Guided Procedures .
During the design time, everything is fine. But when I runned the process, I got a message "The portal page builder required to execute this callable object is not available". I really have no idea how to deal with this problem. Can anyone give me a hand?

I got this problem when I instanciate the process during design time. Them I tried to instanciate the process through runtime to start new process, it worked. So the problem is solved.

Transactional iview for "session_manager" not working

Dear All,
we are creating transactional iview for t code "session_manager", the problem we are facing is that it is not going to session_manager screen, instead of that it is going to S000 Transaction.
I tried using webgui also, but here I m facing some strange problem, it is using webgui for one user and for rest it is using wingui for others and again going to S000 t code.
Can you please give me some recommendations?

Not able to get ESS iviews for 80 and 80C

Dear All,
We have implemented ESS MSS BP (ERP 2005 EHP3) and have standard iviews working on the portal.
But when i preview the iview for section 80 and 80 C, i get the following error.
" com.sapportals.portal.prt.runtime.PortalRuntimeException: Failed in WD JNDI lookup. javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: No child found in WebDynproContext with name essinsec80 "
Also, am not able to find the application in the Webdynpro Administrator.
Can somebody throw their experiences regarding why this is occuring and how this can be resolved.

Hi Piyush,
ESS MSS BP (ERP 2005 EHP3)
as you said earlier that you have applied EHP3 .
But the pacth you have applied is EHP4 and not EHP3
BP_ERP5ESS 1.41 SP3 (1000.1.41.3.0.20090430054002)
And this is a cause of the problem which you are facing .
You are applying the BP which is relase EHP4 and you SAP_ESS is on relase 600 as well as your backend patch is also not equivalent for BP -ESS EHP4.
So the solution is ;-
If you have to use BP-ESS with EHP4 , then you have to upgrade you backend SAP_HR with EHP4 and SAP_ESS patch with 603.

Problem creating transactional iview for BW system

Hi gurus
We are facing one problem creating a transactional iview for a BW 3.5 system . We wanto to call transaction SU01 in our BW system using an iview. When we use SAP for html, we have all the menu on the iview , I mean the same result as if we use smen, not SU01.
And if we use SAP GUI , we are always having the same GUI Error

Thanks Bala for your quick reply. I´ve tried with function module RSBB_URL_PREFIX_GET and all the settings were OK. Still the same result.
Adding more information. We have another WAS 6.40 server with different Module(we have RM and XRPM , not BW) and we are having the same problems. I am wondering if its related with some special config or activation
Maybe I´ve forgot some service activation in SICF? I´m able to reach the SMEN, but not the SU01
or I´m missing some config elsewhere?
