Java 1.7.0.11 works just fine in IE, but, Firefox 18.0 tells me that java is not on my system

Cannot get java 1.7.0.11 to be recognized in Firefox 18.0. Have completely wiped older versions of Java from system and installed latest several times and in addons get message that firefox has blocked older version of java and when I test in firefox get message that there is no java on my system. But, when I test using IE it tells me that 1.7.0.11 is there and working.

The first thing to ask yourself is do you really need Java ?

Cannot get Dish online and Dish Slingbox to work with Firefox. Works just fine wiht IE but will not load video with Firefox version 13 or 14

Does anyone know a Firefox version that will play the Dish online video with their Slingbox? I thought I had it working at one time but am no longer sure. Internet Explorer works just fine.

Internet is connected and majority of the websites work, yet sometimes the pictures are not loading? And the suddenly the hole page won't load? The weirdest thing is I go venture off to another website and it'll work just fine??

So I have been having this very annoying problem with the loading of certain internet sites e.g - Ebay, google maps, google in general & you tube.
My internet connection is fine and i have spoken with my service provider TPG and Apple about this annoying issue.
I can be generally browsing on google for instance and then suddenly the page freezes? No matter how many times i click the Refresh tab it still manages to do the same thing. Now the most confusing bit is, instead of clicking the refresh button I then venture off to Yahoo for instance and that website will work just fine??
Ugh, another (now) consistant issue is that none of my pictures are loading when im on Ebay? yet i can browse every catagory just fine....?

You're correct about the steps you mentioned earlier. Tho Unfortunetely I've tried these things. Infact I was on the phone with applecare last night for about an hr & a half, yet even they seem stunned as to what is causing this?
We reset the safari in a different way as you mentioned earlier (I would not have been able to do this without some Technical assistance)
Open Finder > click on the GO tab > Hold down the OPT key & a tab will appear that reads [Libary]
Click on Libary > Now look for a folder that reads [Safari]
Drag this folder to the desktop
Now open the folder that reads [Preferances]
Look for files: com.apple.safari.plist & com.apple.Safari.RSS.plist
Now quit any programs operating & restart the computer.
Vwallaa Safari is officailly reset, it will even take you on a tour when you open it for the first time.
Now the catch is.... this didnt work "For me" So My next step was to make a dummy account on my Mac (making sure that it had administrator rights) I then tried it on the dummy account. Luck would have it as it still managed to do the same thing.
Apple came to the conclusion that restoring Lion might be a possible solution. So we done just that, wasnt till this morning when i turned on this annoying Mac i realised that it is still doing the same thing.
Apple care is going to call me this afternoon so hopefully "fingers crossed" this issue can be fixed.

Possibly the drive is full
Possibly the permissions are not set to WRITE permission
Possibly there has been a "user mistake" and you think you are copying to a drive you have been using for over a year but something has accidentally changed and you're copying to a different location

Flash Builder 4.6 and SAP Netweaver Gateway plugin works just fine

Hi, i have just installed the new Flash Builder 4.6 and add the SAP NetWeaver Gateway plugin on it.
I you follow the documentation available (http://download.macromedia.com/pub/labs/flashbuilder_sap/flashbuilder_sap_gettingstarted.p df) and then select the "DEMO_BANK" service instead of the "DEMO_FLIGHT" as writtent in the documentation and then bound the "selectZ_demo_bankCollection" to your datagrid, the demo works just fine.
My platform specification is:
- Windows 7 Integral running on VMware Fusion installed on my MacBook Air (just installed yesterday and full updated from Windows Update)
- Flash Builder 4.6 (fresh download from this morning)
- Internet Explorer 9 (last update at this time)
- Flash Player 11.1.102.55 (last update at this time)

note sure if I'm much help other than to CONFIRM it is working for me by using the sdk WITHOUT the compiler. Check out adobe's little note: "Note : Flex users will need to download the original AIR SDK without the new compiler."
I am using FB 4.7 with AIR 3.6 and seems to compile correctly for iOS.
Maybe try reinstalling flash builder?
I honestly don't know if the JRE has anything to do with it... I'm using 1.7 ....to see what JRE you're using, open the Java Control Panel (I right click my java orange icon and hit properties), select the Java tab, then hit "View..."

Mail is froten and wont open or close or allow the restart of the macbook air, everithing else seems to work just fine

Hi Everyone,
I have encountered the following problem which I think a lot of other fellow iPhone users are also encountering however mine seems to be fairly pecuilar.
Here's the issue;
When making or receiving voice calls via my network operator's service, no one can hear me, i.e my audio input. I can hear the person on the other end of the phone fine but they can't hear me whatsoever.
However when I use the likes of viber, skype and facetime, my audio input is perferctly fine and the person on the other end of can hear me.
Note both viber and skype calls work just fine and 2 way communication is audbile regardless if I have a 3G or Wifi connection. Plus I have full singal bar strength when near a mobile tower so that elimantes antenna issues.
Also have taken alternative turns to cover both the top mic and the bottom mic during a viber or skype call and my audio input can still be heard.
I've done a reset, a hard reset of the phone and a reset of the network settings, still to no avail.
Have updated iOS to the latest version 5.1.1
Any suggestions would be much appreciated?

I have the exact same problem, I have already restored the phone and it didn't work. The microphone works with facetime, skype and the voice memos. What just doesn't make sense is that when I use my earphone's microphone when calling, it doesn't work either. If it was a hardware problem the earphone's microphone would have worked I suppose.
This is the second iPhone 4 I have. The first one shut off after 9 months so I got a replacement phone. The replacement phone lasted 10 months when the microphone stopped working. I went to the apple store and they just couldn't give me a solution. They understood my situation and told me that it was very weird but all they could offer me was that I had to pay for a replacement. This is absolutely unjust, why do we costumers have to pay for the companies mistakes.

Just tested something and it worked.
If I put the headphones all the way in, the mac recognizes it as a digital output.
But if i don't put it all the way in, it recognizes it as headphones and works perfectly.
It's probably this crappy headphones.
If anyone has the same problem, try this out.

Mini DisplayPort to VGA isn't working. It won't recognize any external monitor. It worked just fine with my older spring 2011 MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard, but now with my brand new 2012 MacBook Pro running Mountain Lion, it no longer works

I just bought a new MacBook Pro this summer and was all excited. But I'm very frustrated right now because I can't connect to any external monitors through VGA. My thunderbolt (DisplayPort Mini) to HDMI works just fine, but when I try with my other connector to go from Thunderbolt (DisplayPort Mini) to VGA, Nothing works. my screen goes blue and changes size like it recognized something but nothing is ever detected on the external moniter or projector. I'm not sure what is wrong but it's very frustrating. I'm just very depressed that it worked just fine with my 2-year-old MacBook Pro but isn't working now. I'm running OS X 10.8.2. I just upgraded yesterday from 10.8.1 but that upgrade did nothing to fix my problem. Can anyone help? Thanks

I am haveing this exact same issue. I have plugging in 3 monitors and tried two different VGA to mini displayport and nothing is working. I recently bought a Acer monitor and it work for an hour and now it back to doing the same thing.
When I plug the VGA adapter in to the monitor the monitor think its not connected to a computer then when disconnecting the VGA adapter the monitor thinks it is connected to a computer.
NEED SOME HELP!!! at the point of all my hair is pulled out.

The "edit in" does not launch if I make any develop changes. I am using LR 5.6 and all of my plug ins are properly installed, up to date and were working just fine. Edit in does work if I reset the image or load an unmodified DNG.

I am using LR5.6 on a Windows 7 machine with plenty of memory. LR, CS5 and all of my plug ins have been working just fine. Tonight I've found that if I make any kind of significant adjustments to an image, and the go to "Edit in.." that function does not launch. I can use the Edit in command on an unmodified image, or if I reset the modified image. I have the issue with all of my plug ins, including Photoshop, all of the Nik software, RadLab, and OnOne. I believe that all of the plug ins are current. I've been working with them yesterday and I had no issue. I cannot recall anything that has changed since then, and I have not installed any software. I'm at a loss!! Please help!

I have traced the problem to a corrupted profile. When I captured the images in question, I also used Color Cherckr to create a profile for processing. When I apply that profile to the adjustments I make, I can no longer "Edit In". If I use another profile, even one that I created using Color Checkr at a different point in time, I don't have the issue. Something seems to have corrupted the new profile. I will re-create the profile and see if the issue is resolved.

i dont know what to say, im just ******... I bought a new iPod nano, and at first i realized that i basicly cant upload music...***?.. I took some books i got, and realized that i need a program, called iTunes.., ok, whatever, so, i download iTunes 7.5-the last version, install it, without any problem, and leave the button where it says Start iTunes when this installation is complete, or something like that, so the installation completes, and i wait, and wait, and nothing happends... I go to my task manager-processes and realized that iTunes is workn, just fine, some ram but no cpu needs... SO ***?, so i check if there are any error logs created by itunes, but my search just wasted my time... So, what to do next, i decide to grab some older iTunes i guess, so i download iTunes 7.4.0, and wolla it works, although it says: Windows system components that iTunes requires are missing or corrupted, so i say, finally, an error so that i know what to do but i click continue and see there iTunes starts, so i plug my iPod, and it works, unbelievable, but, a huge error, ITS SLOW, SO SLOOOOOW, and i upload a movie and its syncing and syncing and syncing and syncing although the iPod doesnt sync!!!
APPLE GET UR *** UP AND FIX THIS PROBLEM, or ill just have to switch to Zune,... And i thought that BSD programmers are worth more... Dammit

If you went through the Apple troubleshooting steps, you should know if the problem is user specific or system wide.
I am guessing that it will be system wide if iTunes reports system components missing. May be that should be the starting point for investigations.
Do you have the full error message with error numbers? Does everything else work normally on your system with good performance?
In general if you have iTuens failing to launch but with iTunes.exe persisting on the processes tab in the task manager, I think of three initial possibilities, damaged configuration file, firewall blocking and misbehaving plugins. However in your case it may be this system problem iTunes is reporting.

In between the above messages, I've also received the please re-enter your password message, which I do and then I get the same message 30 seconds later. At this point I usually have to do a forced quit to make it go away 8-(

It sounds like you're trying to connect to a web server, not a mail server. Check with your ISP for the right server address and settings.

Icloud photo library won't work unless connected to wifi. If I am trying to attach a pic to a message or email, I get the error "photo can't be downloaded from iphoto library, please try later." If I connect to wifi it works just fine.

I can understand the uploading of pics to library only being done over wifi, but there are plenty of times I'm going to want to send a pic when I'm not going to be near a network. There is issue with Windows 7 when you send the email. It gives the message you specified.
But you can always use Adobe Email client to send your images. In this workflow also you would get the error message but you can ignore it and continue to send the mail.
