Java 5 Hotspot VM crash on Windows 2000 Server, 2000 Pro and XP pro

Hello,
We have had the following recurring error on different machines with Java 5, running one of our mission critical systems.
It seems to be a problem connected with AWT and "SafepointBlob" whatever that is.
Has anybody seen this kind of thing before? Does anybody know what the solution is?

I ended up putting it in DFU mode.  It's kinda hard to tell it was in DFU mode because nothing showed on the screen, it was just black, but the sounds from the computer helped to tell me it was connected.
Itunes still didn't recognize the device for whatever reason.
So I used redsn0w.  I don't know if I can say that on these forums, but considering itunes was worthless at this point I am going to give credit where credit is due.
Now I am giving itunes a second chance to upgrade to 5.1, if it doesn't work, well, back to redsnow and maybe I will even jailbreak it this time rather than just using the fecovery fix found under extras.

Open Media Encoder and add your Sequences:
File > Add Premiere Pro Sequence
Navigate to your Premiere Project and select it in the list.
You can then select multiple Sequences from the Project (Ctrl+Click)
and load them all at once into Media Encoder and apply
the same encoding preset to all Sequences at the same time.

  • JVM crashes on Windows 2003  server

    HI
I am running my java application program on Windows 2003 server. with the jre 1.4.2_03. but some how my java.exe gettting closed coz JVM crashes.
is it b'coz of the jre version conflict with Windows 2003 server?
is it a bug of jre1.4.2_03?
    Plese help me
    with regrads
    Jobin John

    HI
im sure that JVM crashes, coz the next restart of mt
Windows Server i am getting as java.exe closed
problem with JVM.dll..If the VM crashes then there will be no VM.
If the VM exits due to an unhandled throwable there will be no VM.
If the VM exits due to a normal exit there will be no VM.
If the VM does not exit (none of the above) then there will still be a VM.
There is no case in which the last one would be referred to as a "crash".
If your VM isn't exiting and you want it to exit then you should write your code such that it does in fact exit.
Without more info than given no one can determine why your app isn't exiting but one usual reason is because you have a thread that hasn't terminated.

Sorry Rajiv. Not a clue and since
    a) this is not a supported environment
    b) CR 10 has been out of support for... 3+ years(?)
all I can suggest is an http sniffing utility like [Charles|http://xk72.com/] or [Fiddeler|http://www.fiddlertool.com/fiddler/] and perhaps [Process Monitor|http://technet.microsoft.com/en-ca/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx] which will tell you the dlls loading by the process.
Perhaps somebody else may have an idea?

  • Windows 2008 Server boot loop and unable to log on in Safe mode

The Situation: I used msconfig to reboot Windows 2008 Server r2 into safe mode. On rebooting, boot progresses ok and the log in screen appears very quickly, then disappears and the machine reboots. I've tried typing the password very quickly and whether
I get it wrong or just can't get enough typed in time, I don't know, but the reboot loop continues. So, i can't log on and can't change safe boot back to normal.
I know Server 2008 uses bcdedit and no longer has a boot.ini, so I don't know if it is still possible manually to amend a boot file so it starts in normal mode again. Can anyone help me to break out of this boot loop without having to resort to anything
    major, such as reinstallation?
Just to make clear, I haven't updated the system and the only change made was with msconfig to require safe boot on restarting.
    Thanks

from the safemode try this syntax
    Syntax: bcdedit /deletevalue {default} safeboot
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc721886(WS.10).aspx
    http://www.virmansec.com/blogs/skhairuddin
How on earth is that a good answer?  Sorry for the necrosis here of bringing up a post 9 months later, but I just ran in to this issue again.  The OP said that he was STUCK IN A BOOT LOOP having placed himself in SAFEMODE already.
How is he supposed to type this in if he can't log in?
What worked for me was to keep striking F8 like a cobra during boot and telling it to use the Last Known Good Configuration option, after the 4th autoreboot, it let me log in and let me switch it back out of the safe mode and back to the normal boot. Yes,
I am aware this is quite lucky and now I don't have to rebuild all my server set up, and that your mileage may vary here, but, keep trying, you might be lucky.

  • Windows Home Server 2011, uPnP and HH2

Hi. Just connected a new Windows Home Server 2011 based server to my network. When trying to setup the server for remote access, the server, after attempying to setup the HH2 reports that the router "doesn't support uPnP". Any ideas?

I am sure that it does. Look under "game and application sharing", on the hub menu, there should be an option to enable uPnP.
Alternatively you will have to map ports manually.

  • I am trying to setup iCal syncing with Mobile Me on Mac Pro and Mac Pro Notebook.  I have accounts added in for MobileMe and Gmail.  Problem is that iCal does not appear as one of the Sync choices in the MobileMe sync window on either computer?

I am trying to sync iCal with all my computers and devices via MobileMe.  I cannot sync iCal on my Mac Pro nor Mackbook Pro.  I believe accounts to be setup properly BUT on both computers there is NO choice to select iCal among the choices in "Sync Menu" on the MobileMe window in System Preferences.  Help?

    Greetings,
If you delete individual messages they will be deleted from other accounts.
If you setup the accounts as IMAP (which is the default for MobileMe accounts) you can remove the accounts and the other users will still have the email.
Alternatively if you don't want to see the account in the other user go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts > MobileMe account > Advanced > remove the check mark for "enable account".  This leaves the account and just turns it off so you don't see it  and it doesn't send / receive messages.
Finally,  you should be backing up your data for safekeeping so even if you did delete the account and the messages magically vanished you could restore them: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1553
    Hope that helps.

  • Where to get java 1.4.2 for Windows 2003 Server x64?

Hello, I am installing Netweaver 7.0 SR3 on Windows Server 2003 Standard x64 running on a Xeon 5100 which I believe is i386 64-bit. I tried to use the JDK 1.4.2 which is pointed to by sapnote 941595. However, this appears to be for AMD and will not install. SAPinst will not accept the 32-bit version of that JDK either. Could you please tell me where I can get the correct version of the JDK?  Also, as an experiment I tried using the latest 64-bit version 1.6 for my machine and SAPinst got a couple stops past the ABAP import before it failed with a Java error. Is there a way to completely uninstall everything and start over? Thanks - Chris Piret

    Hi,
With the links from note 941595, you cannot download release 1.4.2_13.
I had to use this link
    https://cds.sun.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/WFS/CDS-CDS_Developer-Site/en_US/-/USD/ViewProductDetail-Start?ProductRef=j2sdk-1.4.2_13-amd64-JPR@CDS-CDS_Developer
that I got from this forum.
This JDK download is a mess and I think, we, the customers, pay or what seems to be bad relationship between SAP and SUN.
IMHO, the JDK should be included in the installation box.
I get the database software in the box, why not the JDK ?
    Regards,
    Olivier

    Thanks,

I have solved this problem :
    1. Rename the keydb.xml. For exmaple rename to keydb.xml_bak.
    2. You can see the keydb.1.xml, keydb.2.xml, keydb.3.xml, keydb.4.xml, etc. in the same folder.
    3. You choose the biggest or latest .xml file. For example, you choose the keydb.3.xml.
    4. The choosen file, keydb.3.xml, rename keydb.xml
    5. You can reinstall.
    Take care of yourself.

  • Upgrading from 4.6C to ECC 6.0 on Windows/SQL Server 2000

Phase PARDIST_SHD failed with the following error:
"Table change not possible. There is a DB trigger on the table."
This problem is documented in the note 825146 (Add Info on upgrading to NW04s) in section IV item number 7. The note points to note number 956198 for the fix, which is to delete the trigger defined on table MSSDEADLCK manually in the SQL Server query analyzer.
I have performed the steps outlined in note 956198 to delete the trigger, but when restarting the upgrade it keeps coming back with the same error. It seems that, even if I restart the upgrade with INIT option, the upgrade is not re-setting to the beginning of the phase, but continues to error out immediately upon restart. Originally the phase took about 45 minutes to complete before it aborted with the error. Each time I have restarted the phase it ends after only a few seconds.
Anyone have any thoughts? I'm real close to just starting the whole thing over, I've never run into anything like this before. I am using the latest SAPup.

    Hi,
did you do it as log said:
    1. Manually delete the DB trigger using the report
        SFSRFW_DROP_FSI_TRIGGER
    2. Perform table changes
    3. Create the DB trigger using the report                                 SFSRFW_CREATE_FSI_TRIGGER
    Thanks!

  • HP7555 networked to Windows 2003 server goes offline and stays that way

Printer sitting on my network via ethernet connection working OK for almost two years with same configuration.  Problem just started happening.
Verified IP address and and was able to ping device.  Poked around with printer settings and server settings with no luck.  Restored server back 20 days and rebooted with the restored system just to see if something changed... problem still occurs.
Have other printers on same server with no problems.
If you send a test page to it, it will sit there with its offline status.  If you power off/on the printer the page will eventually print despite offline status but windows still says the page is in the queue.  Eventually the spool count drops back.  makes no sense to me.
