Java Change After WebLogic Installation
Hello,
I've installed WebLogic 10.3.6 with FMW 11.1.1.6 running on OEL 6.3. I'm running Java 1.7.0_5. I'm trying to deploy a vendor's web application. The deployment is fine. However, when I try to run the web application, I get various java errors. The vendor says they don't yet support Java 7.
If I uninstall Java 7 and install Java 6 build 33 (or 35), how can I reconfigure WebLogic to use the "new" jdk? Can I rerun the wls1036_generic.jar and just select the "new"jdk? Or do I have to uninstall WebLogic, change Java versions then reinstall WebLogic?
Thanks,
Mike Lamar

Hi Mike,
You can reframe your Java home with in script file while will reflect all the changes.
for specific to domain check with in setDomainEnv.sh or .cmd file or to entire installation check with commonEnv.sh or .cmd file with in %WLS_Home%/ common / bin/
Still you get any error let me know.

Can we add Java Stack after complete installation
We have already installed SAP ECC 6.0. While installation, we had opted only for ABAP stack. Can we add the Java stack now?
Regards.Hi,
Yes you can install java server on existing ABAP but
If you have an existing ABAP central instance + ABAP dialog instance and
you want to install Java Add-in to the central instance, you first need
to uninstall the ABAP dialog instance, then Install the Java central
instance add-in and then install an ABAP+Java Dialog insntance.
Please refer ABAP+Java instalation guide.

Utility to report changes after software installation?
After reading about files that Logic Pro 8 moves or deletes (if Logic 7 & Jam Packs installed), I'd like to be able to monitor exactly what it does so that I could restore any missing files from tape.
With Windows, I've got a utility that will report all changes, additions & deletions of files.
Does a tool like this exist for OSX?
Or, is there a tech note outlining how to fix things from Apple?
I have Logic 8, but too spooked to install it!Using DBCA
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14196/install003.htm
Go to section To launch DBCA.
Then go to this link.

WebLogic Installation Log File
Where is the installation log file after WebLogic installation?
I am installing WebLogic6.1. Can I specify where the installation log file should
go? Where is it anyway?
I searched few directories do not see where it placed the installation lo file. No, not as I know of. If you are experiencing some problems and you really want to
find more information about a problematic installation, you may do the following to
generate the debug output and you can send that debug info to me:
Windows: pressing down control key at the beginning of the installation until a
debug console window pops up.
Unix Installer ( .bin files): set LAXDEBUG=true in your environment before starting
your installation. tee or script the output to a file:
export LAXDEBUG=true
sh weblogic610.bin -i console 2>&1 | tee buildlog
Pure java installer (.zip file):
touch ia_debug
$JAVA_HOME/java -cp weblogic610.zip -i console 2>&1 | tee buildlog
The upgrade installer should have a clear log to tell you what went wrong in a
installation or uninstallation process. And the installation/uninstallation process
would be rolled back if anything went wrong. The exception is that if you manually
stoped it in some way, which way may catch and process later.

Yes, I am trying to do a full installation (in silent mode).
Every software has an installation log. Is that not pretty much standard?
How come weblogic does not have log? If something goes wrong during silent
installation, I would like to see a log file.
Are you sure that there is absolutely no log file for a full installation?
Dan Bai <[email protected]> wrote:

The log file for an servicepack upgrade installation lives under $BEA_HOME/logs.
Look into the directory corresponding to that servicepack.
Are you experiencing any problems with the full installer?

OIM Startup Error After weblogic user password change
Hello,
I'm running OIM 10g (BP15) on WLS server in clustered mode. Everything was running smoothly until -
I changed the weblogic password after going to
security realms >myrealm >Users and Groups >weblogic > Passwords:
I was able to login to WLS using new cred (weblogic/newpasswd). But OIM server startup started giving login errors as below.
I reverted back by change by setting the old password again... but the error continued....
Please suggest. I already tried putting the correct passwords in the boot.properties. But it didn't help.
Please note.. i'm successfully able to login to WLS console.. only OIM server startup is having below errors..
OIM_SERVER1.log is opened. All server side log events will be written to this file.>

1. Log on to the WebLogic Server Administration Console.
2. Click the domain name for the Managed Server.
3. Click View Domain-wide security settings.
4. Click the Embedded LDAP tab.
5. Select the Refresh replica at startup option, and then click Apply. -
We have about 1,800 workstations running Windows 7 (both 32-bit and 64-bit) running various versions of the Java JRE from 6 update 32 through 7 update 51. Most are on 6 update 45. We would like to standardize on Java 7 update 51 (32-bit) and get everyone updated to that version for security reasons.
For the past two weeks, we have been having trouble with our installation pre-pilot. What we are seeing is that our procedure successfully closes any open Internet Explorer windows and Java-related processes, uninstalls all old versions of the Java JRE, and then claims to have successfully installed Java 7 update 51. The Java Control panel works. We can even take Internet Explorer to Verify Java Version or Java Tester - What Version of Java Are You Running? and confirm that the Java applets on those sites are loading (though the latter only works after adding the site to the exceptions site list); however, when testers try to access our Kronos Workforce Central 6.3.10 system, the Java applets used by that system do not load.
We have tried the following things, none of which worked:
Clear Internet Explorer browser cache and cookies.
Clear the local Java cache.
Reboot the computer.
Reset Internet Explorer settings, including personal settings.
The one thing which does work is going into the Java Control Panel, going to the Security tab, unchecking "Enable Java content in the browser", pressing Apply, pressing OK on the pop-up window, checking the "Enable Java content in the browser" box again, pressing OK, pressing OK on the pop-up window, and then restarting Internet Explorer. It is only after this point that all Java applets, including the ones used by Kronos Workforce Central 6.3.10, work.
What I need to know is how I can automate the procedure of reinitializing the "Enable Java content in the browser" checkbox after installation or am I doing something wrong or missing a step in the automated installation that is causing this to happen?
We are using Microsoft SCCM 2007 R3 to accomplish this upgrade, and everything is being run on the client machine using the SYSTEM account. First, the PowerShell script "javaclean.ps1" is run, with part of the command-line process changing the PowerShell script execution policy to Bypass. This script handles the closing of Java-dependent applications and Java processes and uninstalls old Java versions.

Help on this issue would be much appreciated! It turns out that this is actually a problem with Kronos Workforce Central. We had the "site.java.plugin.CLSID.familyVersion" setting in that application set to "clsid:CAFEEFAC-0016-0000-FFFF-ABCDEFFEDCBA", which is the Java CLSID for Java 6. After updating this value to "clsid:8AD9C840-044E-11D1-B3E9-00805F499D93" (the Java universal CLSID), this problem did not occur upon the automatic upgrade of Java.
We have both Java 6 and Java 7 in our environment, and did during our Kronos implementation, so I don't know why we were using the Java 6 CLSID in the first place.

User exit to change user status in IQ01/02 after full installation EG31
Hi Experts,
In iq01 there are two fields 1 device status 2 user status . device status will be automatically changed (avlb to insl) by system after full installation but i need to change the user status (AVLB, NTAV) in iq01.I have created one bdc for iq02 and that will be properly changing the staus if i run seperately but when i am calling this bdc in user exit(EDMDI001,EDMDI002,EDMDI003) this shows one error '
device is already blocked bu user ---" reason being i have to use that device at the time of full installation and user exit that will change the staus also working on the same device during full installaion .
So Please resolve.
Thanks in advance

Changing domain name after 12i installation
Hi all,
I misspelled my domain name during the 12i installation on Linux platform. i know it can be done by changing the context files of both application tier and database tier and running autoconfig after that, But i don't know the exact procedure to do it. Metalink note 387859.1 isn't very helpful to me. There are some notes for 11i on metalink but those are not helpful. Can any body tell in few straight forward steps how to change the domain name after 12i installation. Any help appreciated.I misspelled my domain name during the 12i installation on Linux platform. Was the installation successful? Did the post installation steps complete successfully?
But i don't know the exact procedure to do it- Deregister the current database/application server
- Update the AutoConfig Context files (database and application)
- Shutdown the Applications Services
- Reseed the Net Services Topology Model ***
- Start the Applications Services
Check the following note (Under Net Services Section) for the required steps to deregister a database/applications tiers from the Net Services Topology Data Model:

I have seen forums about this ,they told to change the socket threads in weblogic console(mine is weblogic 10.3.5 server) ,but I am not able to change in the console. It has already some value as 33 and when I change and save ,it is telling value can not be changed dynamically.
I was told to change like below. But Where do I need to change like below and how
java -Dweblogic.ThreadPoolSize=10 -Dweblogic.ThreadPoolPercentSocketReaders=60 ... your.client ...
I am stuck(I am not able to deploy the applications into SOA server)
Thanks in advanceHi
1. What you are seeing is <Warning> and mostly you can ignore this. This may not be the root cause for your error.
2. Can you access your soa server url from browser like http://soahost:soaport/bpm/workspace url should work. Try soahost with direct ip address or dns name of that machine.
3. In Jdeveloper, when you configure this, I hope you Tested the connection and does it show success.
4. One way to quickly test is, deploy the SOA Workflow JAR directly from EM Console. The .jar file should be under your soaproject/deploy folder. If you have EAR for TaskForms, deploy EAR also from Console or EM Console. If all this works, this means, JDeveloper is not able to connect to soa server. Search for Proxy settings forJDeveloper in this forum. I remember seeing some posts to enable/disable Proxy for Jdeveloper like that.
5. Look in the log files for any errors while deployment. But if server itself is NOT accessible, you may not see any deployment errors at all.
Thanks

Hi All
After new installation of WCC 11.1.1.8 on Microsoft server 2008 R2 SP1 64 bit EE UCM_server1 can’t start. (Please see trace below). WCC 11.1.1.7 run without issues on this environment.
Steps:
1. Installation of jrockit-jdk1.6.0_45-R28.2.7-4.1.0
2. Installation of WLS 10.3.6
3. Installation of WCC 11.1.1.8
4. Schema creation by RCU 11.1.1.8
5. Domain creation by config.cmd with AdminServer, UCM_server1, IBR_server1
6. Run Admin - (success)
7. Run NodeManager (optional) - (success)
8. Run UCM_server1 – failed
Still not works after patching MLR 1 for WCC 11.1.1.8 or upgrade from 11.1.1.7 .
From log files we can saw that problem caused by JniNativeOsUtils.dll file in “<Middleware Home>\Oracle_ECM1\ucm\idc\components\NativeOsUtils\lib\windows-amd64\7.2.1.1”
I replaced JniNativeOsUtils.dll with same file from 11.1.1.7 version and UCM_server1 starts work
I got errors during startup (syNativeOsUtilsNotLoaded and UnsatisfiedLinkError - you can foun them in trace below), but WCC up and works.
I also get error when trying to start SystemProperties or ComponentWithard utility:
Activation context generation failed for "C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\USER_P~1\domains\WCC_DO~1\ucm\cs\bin\SystemProperties.exe". Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC80.MFC,processorArchitecture="amd64",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",version="8.0.50727.762" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Leon

Problems running avctl after successfull installation of audit vault
Hi all,
after successful installation of audit vault, I am able to connect to the instance AV with sqlplus and with the dabase console.
But starting the avctl or questioning the status of the avctl with "avctl show_av_status", I always receive the following error:
C:\oracle\product\10.2.2\av_1\jdk\bin>avctl start_av
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.Exception: Invalid Oracle JDBC url

OS: Windows XP Prof 5.1 SP2
Audit Vault DB-Version: 10.2.0.3
Had anybody faced this problem before?
Thanks a lot in advance for your answers
StefanI had the same error, On the OUI log there was an error on the instalation of the Database Vault (although the installation finished OK), check if you have the same error output:

Looks like the problem was that I changed sys and system password on the dbca final windows, that maybe wronged the instalation scripts.
When re-installed the AV Server I just press ok on that window without changing any password and it worked.
Hope that Helps.

NullPointerException during login after OIM installation
Hi all,
I just installed OIM 9.1.0.1 on a Solaris 10 SPARC system running WebLogic 10.3 and Sun JDK 1.6.0_14. This is running on a cluster of 4 managed servers with another host for the WebLogic admin console. After going through the installation and restarting WebLogic, I opened the OIM admin and user console (https://hostname:7002/xlWebApp/), entered xelsysadm as the user, and entered the password. This results in the following NullPointerException....
Does anybody have any ideas what the problem is? By the stack trace, it seems like it might have something to do with challenge response not being set... but how would you set it if you can't get into the app :)...
Thanks!
