Javascript error when loading Portal Content

I used "NW04 SP16 sneakpreview".
Installation went fine but I can't seem to get anything in my portal content PCD. Below on the left I have Javascript errormsg which states the following:
Line: 90
Char: 3
Error: 'undefined' is null or not an object
Code: 0
Url: (very long url)
I thought it had something to do with the errormsg that I received about the encryption config failure (see below) so I executed sap note 796540:
If you installed the J2EE Engine with "weak encryption", the most probable cause for problems with user mapping is incorrect configuration. To resolve this, set the UME property "ume.usermapping.unsecure" to "TRUE", restart the J2EE server, and try again.
But this dit not the trick unfortunantly.
I also checked for permissions for my Admin but he has Super_Admin so that should be ok to I think.
Perhaps it has something to do with not having a System Landscape defined but how can I do this?
Or is it something else that I have overseen? Perhaps installing a license? (which I did not do yet)

Error in loading Portal Content with IE

Hi,
I have some problems with customization of Sap Portal, maybe someone can help me
with some informations.
I am using Sap Netweaver Portal 7.0 with IE 6.0.2900 SP2 and Mozzila Mozilla/5.0.
When I try to display Content Administration -> Portal Catalog with IE I have one
error(after a long period of "Loading..."):
Error: Object required - and the Portal Content is not displayed at all .
In this way, I don't have acces to Portal Content with IE.
I also tried with other browsers (Opera, Netscape, Lotus) but there is the
same issue.
In Firefox, the Portal Content it's displayed, but there is another issue:
I open a Role object and I try to Edit it's properties: these aren't displayed
in the right corner of the screen. I checked in the Error Console of Firefox
and there is a JS err: event is not defined: error in roleeditor.js
In this way I am not able to handle any issue regarding Portal Content.
Maybe some of you, guys, had this problem or have any idea about solving it.

Yes, the error appears when you access the portal with the IP address which should not be the approach.
Use the domain name instead ... i.e hostname.domain.com:portnumber.

Error while loading Portal Content Folder of the EP 7...

Hi All,
We were importing the .epa file from EP 6 WAS 6.20 to EP7 WAS 7. So, in betweeen the importing process got stuck and i have canceled the import and went to Content Administrator and just tried to open the Portal Content folder then instead of loading the folder list, it gave the following error *Could not load or refresh node Tree creation failed on node: pcd:portal_content *.
If anybody already came across this type of error, Please help us in correcting this error.

Portal Runtime Error when operating "Portal Content"

Hi there,
these days, I installed a NW710 in our team server, and try to configure its UWL to one backend system. Therefore I need to create a new system entry from "System Administration->System Configuration->Portal Content->New->System(from template)".
After a few test, I found I can't do these operations: "add folder", "open properties", "open permissions", "new system", I got following runtime error when I clicked them:

Javascript errors when loading ADF app

We are running two ADF applications in a weblogic server with ADF 11.1.2.3 patches. Out of these two applications, users intermittently encounter javascript error using either IE 8, IE 9, or Firefox in http mode at first screen. We only recently started testing https, so we do not know if the error will occur with https – however, it needs to work in both modes. This error sometimes goes away by clearing the cache and sometimes goes away over time. The front page for the two applications are essentially the same. We investigated and diagnosed (through IE developer tool) is that the JS files containing the core ADF JavaScript libraries are not being downloaded completely (this is same for other static files including image files). Also could notice that these incomplete files took a much longer time to download (16ms) when compared to others(<1ms) of same size.
The issue may be related to : https://forums.oracle.com/thread/1558474. as the error messages shown here are almost the same especially those with ADF Javsacript API missing.

Can you try restarting the server once. We resolved this issue by restarting the server and clearing and restting the browesr to the defaults.

"Object required" error when browing "Portal Content"

   I installed latest "dwi_701_dev_core11_as_java_epc.v2" in my local server, but when I browse NetWeaver Portal homepage remotely , I got an "Object required" error in my IE. But if I logon with "Remote desktop connection" to the server and access the portal locally, it works ok. I don't know the reason, did anyone here meet this issue before?

As per your posting in forum, you have said that when you give the URL as http://localhost:59000/*** then you are not facing any problem and when you are accessing the portal from remote system using the IP Address as http://127.0.0.1:59000/***" then you are getting error...
There is nothing strange issue with it.. all you need to do is to configure your IP Adress with a specific server name in HOST File.
For that :
1) First, go to the following path :
         C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
2) In the ...\etc folder you can see a file "HOSTS". Open the HOSTS file using Text editor like Notepad or Editplus.
3) Add the IP Address and give some Server name to that IP address.
For Example :
127.0.0.1      Yangserver
4) Save and Exit.
Now you can access the portal by giving the url as :
http://Yangserver:59000/** *
Make sure that the IP Address of you Portal server i.e 127.0.0.1 should be static i.e it should not change regularly.
