JDBC - JavaProxy - JDBC (Synchronous) Interface without BPM ?

Hi,
I was reading the following Blog
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/xi/file-rfc-file%28without+bpm%29&
I want to know that, is it possible to develop an interface like below without using BPM :
JDBC - JavaProxy - JDBC
Can we use the same approach as mentioned in above Wiki post for this scenario also.
Regards
Kulwinder

Hello Everyone,
JDBC - JavaProxy - JDBC Sync scenario works using modules similar to File or Jms adapter.
Thanks.

• Synchronous transmission without BPM process

Right now I have a S/A bridge BPM process for HTTP => XI => RFC interface.
However this is taking 5 - 8 seconds to process. On further analysing this process, we found out that WF engine is taking 4 seconds in initialize.
Can I accomplish a synchronous interface without a BPM?

Hi Parimala,
If it just a HTTP>XI>RFC Scenario, it can be achieved without a BPM.
Steps in IR
1) Create DT,MT and MI(both request and response)for HTTP interface
2) Import metadata for RFC Interface into "Import Objects"
3) Create two Message Mappings
1) HTTP REq-->RFCREQ
2) RFC Res-->HTTP Res
4) Create IM for with both REq and RES maps
Steps in ID
1) Create HTTP Business Service. As HTTP Adapter is a built in adapter no CC needed.
2) Add the BS for R/3 and create the Receiver CC for RFC Adapter
3)Create Routing Rules using RD,ID,RA with Receiver CC
Use HTTP Client App to test this.
Hope this helps.

• Synchronous interface without Service Interface and Mapping

Hi all,
Short and simple question: Is it possible to set up a synchronous interface without using Service Interfaces and (Operation and Message) Mapping?
In my case I would like to create an interface with a SOAP and File adapter.
Cheers,
Mac

Hi Mac,
>>Short and simple question: Is it possible to set up a synchronous interface without using Service Interfaces and (Operation and Message) Mapping?
Yes possible provided you have both Sync adapter as sender and receiver. For eg: Soap sender --> PI --> HTTP adapter
>>In my case I would like to create an interface with a SOAP and File adapter.
Sync scenario using File adapter as receiver is not possible. Because File adapter works asynchronously.

• JDBC Sync - RFC Sync Scenario without BPM

Hi Experts,
I am using JDBC - RFC - JDBC Scnario. The concept is
JDBC is reading data from tables and send data to RFC, after updating RFC is giving response to JDBC to update its tables.
JDBC - RFC - JDBC.
Is it possible to do this scnario without using BPM?
Experts pls advise me.

• IDOC to WS Synchronous Scenario Without BPM

Hi Experts,
I am dealing with Idoc to WS synchronous scenario. Can this be done without BPM??
ALEAUD can make IDOC to handle WS response??
Please suggest.
Regards,
Sushama

Please suggest since BPM involves performance issue
BPM surely has performance issue...only when there are a lot of steps/ logic implemented in it and when the processing load is too much for the XI/ PI server to handle.
The BPM design in your case will be just of following steps: Receive --> SyncSend --> AsyncSend .... excluding Transformation...and a BPM with these steps wont cause a big harm to processing of other messages.

Abhishek.

• Sender JDBC Adapter and Synchronous Interfaces

Hello
I have a Oracle/JDBC -> XI -> ECC/RFC scenario. The communication mode is Synchronous.
In the Oracle database I have a table with a "STATUS" field. When JDBC Adapter Sends the rows from this table to the Integration Engine, it updates the "STATUS" from "G" (GENERATED) to "R" (READ).
The response from the RFC contains for each row sent to RFC a "STATUS_from_RFC" field, that I would like to use to update Oracle STATUS field to "S" (SUCCESS) or "E" (ERROR).
Can the Sender JDBC Adapter use the response from the Synchronous RFC to update Oracle "STATUS" field itself ?
Or do I need a Receiver JDBC Adapter? In this case, I have to use asynchronous communication and BPM, ok ?
thanks
Julio

Bhavesh,
>>>But, the online help states it supports QOS of BE and so it does support Synchronous Processing.
Even File adapter has QOS of BE
To my understanding response back is possible only if it is PUSH + Sync
Adapters PUSH + Sync
HTTP
SOAP
RFC
XI
etc...
For the above response is possible
Adapter PULL + Sync
File
JDBC
etc..
In general there can be a response if there is a request. In the case of File and JDBC there is no request message coming to the adapter, its the adapter which is actually requesting.
This is just an idea and my understanding.. might not be true If possible do try it and let everyone know I will also give it a try when time permits
Thanks,
Prakash

• Correlation issue in JMS adapter - SYNC/ASYNC scenario without BPM

Hi,
I am working on a SYNC/ASYNC scenario with JMS adapter without using BPM. My scenario is SOAP<>PI>JMS. I configured the interface as below:
1. SOAP Sender channel
2. JMS Receiver Channel writing to Queue A.
Module used: a. RequestOneWayBean
b. WaitResponseBean
Correlation Settings:
a. Set JMS Correlation ID to "XI Message ID"
b. Store JMS CorrelationID of request (Checked)
c. Set JMS Property to "JMS Correlation Id"
d. Value = "XI MEssage ID"
3. JMS Sender channel reading from queue B ( I am exporting the message from queue A and importing into queue B)
Module used: a. NotifyResponseBean
Correlation Settings:
a. Set XI MEssage Id to "GUID"
b. Set XI Conversation ID to "Stored JMS COrrelationID of Request"
I can see the cid in the message from queue A. But I observed thhat the header format of the message in Queue A is "MQSTR".
ISSUE:
1. While writing the message to queue A, below adapter log details(part b) concerned me:
a. Message '8747a7c2-2b06-11df-8055-005056a70ed6' successfully processed by channel
b. Could not create acknowledgements for message '8747a7c2-2b06-11df-8055-005056a70ed6'
I am not sure why I am receiving the message that " could not create acknowledgements"
2. While reading the message from the sender channel,I consistently get the error message as below:
a. XI message ID corresponding to JMS message with ID 'ID:414d51205341504449442e514d202020c67b954b20005602'

2. Note: 1086303
3. Sync / Async Bridge without BPM
In the note, they mentioned something about header being "MQRFH2". BUt in our case, the header is "MSSTR". Not sure whether it makes any difference.
Please help.

Hi,
detailed error description:
com.sap.aii.adapter.jms.api.channel.filter.MessageFilterException: found no correlation ID: RecoverableException:
found no correlation ID at com.sap.aii.adapter.jms.core.channel.filter.SendToModuleProcessorFilter.filter(SendToModuleProcessorFilter.java:105) ...
This error would generally arose when there are multiple messages, got stuck in the outbound queue. Try to stop both the sender and receiver JMS comunication channels and clear both the inbound and outbound queues.
Once all the messages in the queue are cleraed, try posting the message again.

• How to send status message in SOAP to IDOC scenerio without BPM

Hi,
I have a SOAP to IDOC scenerio in which we require to send the status message back to user from XI that " IDOC has been sent successfully to SAP system"
We do not want to use BPM bacause of performance issues.
Can you please help me how to achieve this synchronous response without BPM.
Note: We require the status message from XI that the IDOC has been successfully posted to WESAP system

Idoc only support async behaviour. U can't get the Idoc response as per ur requirement without BPM.
Better to go for abap proxy or RFC.
Or u may get the ack till XI.

• Async-Sync Bridge without BPM for SOAP WS and JDBC

I heard you can now have async-sync communication outside of BPM by utilizing adapter modules?
My scenarios are:
proxy (async) -> SOAP WS (sync)

I will like to capture the synchronous responses in XI and perform some basic error handling.
I read h[File - RFC - File without a BPM - Possible from SP 19.|File - RFC - File without a BPM - Possible from SP 19.] and the release notes for 2004s SP19 and there is no reference to JDBC or SOAP.

• Error Handling in JDBC Adaptor - Without BPM

Hi friends,
My problem is like this. Scenario is File -> Xi -> JDBC.
here i didn't used BPM at all.
My interface is working fine.
right now i am not doing any error handling for 'Primary key violation, refrential intigrity etc.. '.
if this type errors encountered i going to adapter monitoring and looking out the issue.
Now the client requirment is
whenever this type of errors occured Client should be notified Via email along with error description.
Is there anyway to do this ?

Hi Suresh,
You can setup the Alerting framework of XI to trigger alerts. Alert rules can be set to raise alerts in case of JDBC Adapter Errors.
Check these links....

• JDBC-RFC-JDBC without BPM

Hi
I have JDBC-RFC-JDBC Scenario. Now i have complated JDBC-RFC part but for the RFC response i dont want to use BPM . We are on PI 7.0 SP 11 . What changes needs to be done in module level to achieve this .

Hi bhavesh,
But In your one of the thread File-RFC-File scenario
These steps are mentioned , is it required in my JDBC-RFC-JDBC Scenario???
4. We need to add a few modules in the Sender File Adapter.
Go to the Modules Tab of the Sender File Adater, and add the following modules in the same sequence,
Number - ModuleName - Type - ModuleKey
1- AF_Modules/RequestResponseBean - Local Enterprise Bean - 1
2- CallSapAdapter-Local Enterprise Bean - 2
3-AF_Modules/ResponseOnewayBean-3
Parameters
ModuleKey - ParameterName - ParameterValue
1 - passThrough - true
3-receiverChannel - Receiver File Adapter Name
3-receiverService - Receiver Business Service/ System

• JDBC to RFC synchronous scenario (Urgent).

Dear forum,
My requirement is data is populated in oracle data base.we are fecthing the data from database through XI and sending it to R/3. RFC is sending the response (suceess/failure) to XI. And XI is updating the status message into database.
For this,I have done the JDBC - RFC - JDBC syncronous scenario using BPM. .I got the successfull message under message monitering.Problem is I cannot able to find the data for RFC and JDBC reciever.
Please find the following Configuration steps for the above scenario
3 data types
JDBC request, JDBC response one dummy structure to capture RFC response messages.
3 message types for the above data types
5 message interfaces.
OB request,
OB ABS request,
IB Asyn for dummy,
Syn ABS (JDBC req and dummy structure),
IB JDBC response.
4 message mappings.
Mapping between JDBC request to JDBC request dummy.
Mapping between JDBC request dummy to RFC request.
Mapping between RFC response to JDBC response dummy.
Mapping between JDBC response dummy to JDBC response.
3 Interface Mappings.
JDBC request to JDBC request dummy.
JDBC request dummy to RFC request and RFC response to JDBC dummy response(Synchronous request and responce) .
JDBC dummy response to JDBC response.
Integration Process.
Used following steps.
Recieve step asynchronous -> Send synchronous -> Send asynchronous
I can able to see the payload for sender under communication channel. But the data is not reached to RFC.can any one help me to come out of this problem.
Points will be awarded for helpfull answers.
Thanks & Regards,

Hi Seshagiri,
We are trying the same scenario with out using BPM.
Following steps has been done in design(IR).
2 data types for JDBC request & JDBC response.
2 message types for the above data types.
1 outbound synchronous message Interface.
2 message mappings (JDBC request -> RFC request) and (RFC response -> JDBC response)
1 Interface Mapping.
Could you please let me know how to maintain the collaborative profiles & and agreement details in Configuration(ID).
Your valuable assistence is required to complete the interface.
Thanks in advance.
