JDBC tries multiple times to connect on a bad login

Hi, we got this problem when there's a bad login (ora-01017) from a user.
Note that everything works fine for a successful login.
So when a bad login occur it takes at least 2-3 minutes to catch the exception.
During that time we can see in the JDBC tracing that there's multiple tries to connect, about 200.
We use classes12 and Oracle 10g (RAC).
LOAD_BALANCE=ON
FAILOVER=ON
SERVER = DEDICATED
I did try with DriverManager and OracleDatasource with no difference.
        Connection con = null;         try{           compteur = compteur+1;           trace.ecrireLogEnv("compteur : "+compteur);           //DriverManager.setLogWriter(new PrintWriter(new FileOutputStream(chemin.substring(0,chemin.indexOf("classes"))+"log//test_connexion.txt")));           //con = DriverManager.getConnection(url,user,motPass);           OracleDataSource ods = new OracleDataSource();           ods.setURL(url);           ods.setLogWriter(new PrintWriter(new FileOutputStream(chemin.substring(0,chemin.indexOf("classes"))+"log//test_connexion_ds.txt")));           con = ods.getConnection(user,motPass);           etat = true;         } catch( SQLException e ){           msg = e.getMessage();           trace.ecrireLogEnv("mesg "+ msg);         }         finally {           if( con != null ) {             try { con.close(  ); }             catch( Exception e ) { }           }         }
Anyone can help?
Caroline

Thanks for your reply.
We use classes12 because we had no needs to upgrade, like TIMESTAMP...
Maybe we could try change driver.
And nothing in the code loop to try that many times. Like written in the example code we made a little sample page just to test the connection. That's all.
I don't have any control of the pool connection. But the people that are doing it says to me that there is no settings configured to attempt connection 200 times.

  • PDF, with electronic signature, will not save. In Finder it's nowhere, tried multiple times..

    Started in Preview to save...but PDF, with electronic signature, will not save. In Finder it's nowhere, tried multiple times.

    I am having the same problem with signatures.  I am including a form in a pdf portfolio to collect signatures from different users who have Reader.  I make sure that features have been extended for reader. Most of the time they are okay.  But every once in a while (at least one every two weeks) I get a user telling me they can't sign.  No message or error of any kind, just a quick blink but no signature.  As a work-around I've had to save a copy and re-extend features.  This can be time consuming when there are a few documents I need to circulate.  Please advise.

    Yes, the Old Master file has a folder for each year where I find all photos from that specific year. I am attaching a screen shot of the file.
    In the meantime i have managed to download all photos (it did not download any video files though in mpg, avi, 3gp, m4v,mp4 and mov format) to a new iphoto library. Unfortunately the photos are quite mixed and often doubled up. I ma considering to purchase iphoto library which checks all duplicates in iphoto. this will save me a lot of time. What do you think?

    Thank you, Ripley

    I haven't updated yet. Apple's download servers have been too busy. Did you know you can update via wifi instead of connection to your computer?
    Here's a description of the update. Not a lot of changes for iPad 1/2.

    How on earth do you get Home SHaring to work?  We have tried numerous times and it simply doesn't work for us!

    Turn it on.
    Honestly, if you want help it is generally a good idea to ask a specific question and give some details of what problem is occurring.
    If trying to move media, using home sharing is simply a bad idea.  Follow some of the other instructions in the article from which the question was posted to move media.

    My friend changed the password on my ipod touch. And now I am locked out because I tried too many times. I can no longer put in a password, and I can't connect to itunes because it says "must input passcode first before connecting", even though the ipod says to connect to itunes

    Place the iPod into recovery mode in order to restore the iPod with iTunes.

  • NetworkManager fails multiple times to connect to wirless network

    Hello Arch-Community!
    I run a Dell Vostro V131 and a Dell XPS 13 with an up to date Arch Linux with Gnome Shell as desktop enviroment. My internet connection is established by an AVM Fritzbox 7490 over wireless lan. The WLAN connection works with a windows pc and my android devices absolutely stable. As soon I get into the reach of wlan, my smartphone connects without any issues.
    With Arch I've got the following problem: After a restart or standby mode, the NetworkManager tries to connect to my wireless lan. After about 30 seconds it fails and the icon vanishes out of the notification bar. After a short moment it tries again, it fails, it tries, it fails... until it magically works and the computer is logged into my wireless network.
    To get some logs i killed the NetworkManager task and restarted it by hand. In the following log you see NetworkManager starting and failing a couple of logins with the message "association took too long, failing activation". At the end NetworkManager reports "Activation (wlp18s0) successful, device activated" and wlan works... I didn't change a thing.
    I would be very thankful if someone might be able to help me figure out what might go wrong.
    Thanks!
    Christoph

    Thanks for your reply.
    We use classes12 because we had no needs to upgrade, like TIMESTAMP...
    Maybe we could try change driver.
    And nothing in the code loop to try that many times. Like written in the example code we made a little sample page just to test the connection. That's all.
    I don't have any control of the pool connection. But the people that are doing it says to me that there is no settings configured to attempt connection 200 times.

  • Payment Info for iTunes store - technical difficulties? tried multiple time

    Hi all,
    I'm kind of new to these forums but I have a problem...
    I have been trying to activate an iTunes store account for a while and I have my email and password and everything set up but when I try and "review payment information" (which a dialog box tells me to do every time I sign in), I agree to the terms, I enter everything - address, phone, card information, all that, and I keep getting a red error message at the top of the screen saying "We are sorry, the iTunes store is experiencing technical difficulties at this time. Please try again later." Or something of that sort. It is getting really annoying and I'm getting really frustrated because all I want to do is activate my account!!! It seems like every time I try and sign up for something with Apple, they are always "experiencing technical difficulties" or I am told "try again later". It gets really old really fast.
    Has anyone had this problem? Better yet fixed it? Maybe its my ISP?
    Anyone who is willing to help me out with the iTunes issue would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Alex

    You are not alone!
    I've had an account for a long time but for the past few days I've been unable to buy anything because I find myself stuck in a loop. Every single time I try to make a purchase I have to click a Billing info button and then check my payment details which haven't changed and worked fine before. I've tried removing my payment details and re-entering them but now I'm presented with a message that payment processing is not available, please try again later.
    It seems the store is having problems and for me it was fine before the iPhone, App Store and MobileMe launches so I'm guessing there's a connection.
    Best thing to do is contact iTunes Support which have always been helpful for me on the few times I've had to contact them.

  • Ive tried multiple times on my computer and my internet is fast and perfect but my ipod touch 4th gen will not get past "backing up ipod" it sits there of course itunes 10.5 any solutions ive heard lots of people are having this problem across the board

    My ipod touch 4th gen will not update to IOS5 i believe the problem is itunes10.5
    ive been trying to update since friday my internet is perfect [speedtest.net] itunes just wont get past [backing up ipod[ i hope they fix this soon and i just wanted to see if anybody else was also having this problem because i want the new features coming with ios but its just not working and it took all night just to get roughly to about 20% completion of backing up ipod then when i got home it said "could not restore ipod its still on firmware 4.3.3 so i dont know why it said could not restore i did click "update" but anyway im having this problem and wondering if anyone else is {i think everybodys having problems itunes10.5 right now

    I am having the same problem (lost in back-up purgatory) on both my iPhone 4 and my iPad2.  I am running Windows XP.
    I have tried everything I've seen suggested on various support communities, with no success.
    I have gotten used to having to find a windows workaround everytime Apple updates iTunes, and this time it is especially frustrating.
    I don't have any solutions, and I am responding to all of these types of messages in hopes of finding something that will work for me.
    One person was able to work through it by deleting all of the previous iTunes backup files.  I'm trying that now.  4 hours into it, and it does not seem to be working......
