JDeveloper 11.1.1.1.0 - NoClassDefFoundError when jar exists in project

Question

Hi, I've a problem with trying to test a web application in JDev11g IDE. The following is reported:

nested exception is java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/ibatis/sqlmap/client/SqlMapClientThe class reported as not found exists in a jar that I added to the project. Checking for help on the web, I came across the suggestion to include a weblogic.xml descriptor file:

The application worked fine under JDev 10g.

Problem is sorted.
As the project was Spring based, I noticed that WLS already had the Spring jars as part of it's installation. Therefore I didn't include Spring jars in my deployment. The error message when the application was run was related to the iBatis jar and was raised by Spring trying to instantiate the beans at startup. Because of this, I assumed that Spring was in the classpath somewhere.
As a check, I added the Spring jars explicitly to the deployment and problem is solved - the iBatis class is found. So a class loading problem somewhere and I have to explicitly deploy Spring.
