Jfreechart: control width of bars in categorygraph

Can somebody help me with controlling the width of the categories in a bar category chart?
I have a vertical bar chart and want every category to be 12 pixels wide, even if the charts total width is much larger. can somebody help me here?

I don't think you can set the bars to an exact pixel width. You can use
BarRenderer barrenderer = (BarRenderer)categoryplot.getRenderer();
barrenderer.setMaxBarWidth(0.05);
to set the bars to a max width to 5% of the available space.

Multiple copies of processor control in menu bar

I installed the CHUD tools to use the Processor Prefs and enabled the "Show control in menu bar" option. Now I have 4 copies of the item in my menu bar. Only one of the items has an icon, the others are just little 10 pixel wide slivers, but if I click them I get the same menu drop down as the one with the icon. Any ideas what I can do to fix this?

Hold down the Apple key and drag them off the menu bar - they will 'poof' away.

Hi
The Win 7 drivers are not available for this unit at this time.
But I found some Win 7 drivers on the Toshiba US driver page.
Of course you will not find exactly the same X300 series but you can choose the drives released for Qosmio X305-xxxx
There is no big difference between X300 and X305 so the Win 7 drivers should work too

How to change the width of bar ?

i want to plot the bar graph, that we can change the width of bar.
exp: I got y1,y2,y3 : the length of each bars. x2-x1 , x4-x3,x6-x5 : is the width of each bars.
How can i plot like the picture? I saw in help index the formular node : bar(x,y, width) , maybe it's possible. Any better ways to do it? Thanks

If you are refering to bar plots, you have 3 bar styles (thin, wide but not connected, wide), accessible using the plot.barstyle property node, or directly witha right click on the legend.
Not sure that this is what you are looking for...

Increase width of bars in svg chart

I've created an svg bar chart which shows the number of actions grouped by department and status. Each department has about 4 bars.
This works reasonably well but all the bars appear to the left hand side of the x-axis and are quite small in width. There is plenty of blank space to the right so I want to increase the width of all the bars so that they are more visible.
Does anyone know how I can does this?

Can I control the change bar position?

In my attach file, I want to control the change bar position. the "red " change bar position.

You can move the change bars farther away from the text frame, you can change the color and thickness of the change bars, but you cannot tell FrameMaker where to start and stop a change bar. In your case, FrameMaker is showing a change in each row of the table; hence, each change bar is shorter than the height of the row. This is the way FrameMaker indicates changes in the content of table cells. You cannot change it. You cannot tell FrameMaker to make consecutive change bars in consecutive table rows continuous.

How to control width an height of a page region

How do i control width an height of a page region?. Say you have 4 regions on a page and want to tightly control these attributes, for example as a percentage of page dimension.
Is that possible?, Also can it be manipulated dynamically?

Hi Luis,
I don't know about dynamically but in the Region Attributes you can add 'style="width:100px" (or whatever value you want 10%, 25% etc.) to control the width
and to control the height you need to add:
<div style="overflow: auto; height: 450px;">(again or whatever size)
to the region header and
</div>to the region footer

To increase the width of Bar in OLE excel bar chart

Hi All,
I am using the OLE method to bring the data of my internal table onto an excel sheet in the Vertical Bar graph.
The data is populated correctly but the width of the bars is very less due to which I am unable to differentiate between different colours.
How can i increase the width of the bars?

How to control width of Design pod in RH8?

Hi all,
This is just a UI annoyance, but I'd like to get around it. I'm working in RH8.
When I'm in the Design/HTML pod, the ruler across the top of the pod extends beyond the right margin. Consequently, a scroll bar appears across the bottom of the pod.
When working in the pod, entering long lines of text causes the window to scroll left and right automatically, and I can't see the entire line of text I've entered.
Increasing/decreasing the width of the pod doesn't change this behavior - the ruler across the top scales with the pod size. Moving the right margin/tab marker doesn't help either.
Is there any way to control the pod width so I can see a full line of text w/out a scroll bar at the bottom? I'm guessing it's something easy - just haven't found it yet.

I'd like to offer a wee bit of clarificaition.
There is no such thing as a "Tab Stop" in the world of HTML. As such, there is no such thing as a "Tab Stop" in the RoboHelp HTML ruler. These are simply visual ways to adjust the margins on the HTML page.
I'd hate to see a rash of posts where folks are suddenly asking where they can insert tab stops in RoboHelp HTML.

Optimizing Table Control Width

Hello,
I have used the Table Maintenance Generator to build the relevant screens for displaying/ editing data from 2 tables.
However when i maintain this view in SM30 it displays the table control with horizontal scroll bars. There are about 22 columns in the view and I would like to see them all in one screen.
I have tried changing the <i>Lgth</i> attribute of the Table Control from SE51. It shows 83. While trying to change it to about 140 I get an error message saying that 140 exceeds maximum width of 83.
Is 83 the maximum possible width for a table control? How can I change it?

Thanks so much Ravi. Your tip proved very useful. The screen size set by an earlier developer had got reset when I did a re-run of the Table Maintenance Generator. I overlooked this small but important detail.

Reportviewer Control vertical scroll bars

Hi,
I am using report viewer control to display reportins in a web application. For some reason I am not able to get the vertical scroll bars to show up. As a result the lower portion of the report is getting hidden. This was working in VS 2005 but it breaks in VS 2008. I tried some combinations of Size to Report Content, Asynch Rendering etc., but have not found any combination that works. Can anybody please help?

I can't repro this. If the report doesn't fit the control height, ReportViewer shows vertical scrollbars. In my case, ReportViewer is configured as follows:

BarChart vertical axis label - possible to control width?

Is there a way to control/force the width for the vertical axis labels so that a label stays readable?
Currently my labels are short sentences that get resized down to an illegible font size while the bars (series) stay quite large.
It would be ok for the bars (series) to be squashed so that the labels stay readable.
I have been searching for a couple of hours but cannot find a way to do this. Specifying a fontSize="xx" on the <mx:AxisRenderer> for the vertical axis seems to have no effect (nor does specifying the font size in the CSS). I have also tried setting "minWidth" and "width" to no avail...

Well by chance I found this forum posting through a search engine query:

It explains that you need to set the gutter style properties to accomodate longer lines of text. In this case,
gutter-left:400;
in the BarChart style did it for me.
It would be nice if an axis label could be wrapped onto two or more lines if needed but the solution above works for now...

[PS6]Control width of bezier line

Using [PS6], how can I make the line left by the pen tool heavier?
I've been pounding away with google and PS6 manual... but must be using off the wall search stings or something because I'm getting piles of info about bezier curves and using the pen tool but no mentions of making the damn line at least visible.
Even on High desktop sizes that darn line, if anywhere near any other border or line, is nearly invisible.
I'd like a line several pixels wide... but not seeing how that is done.

If CS6 then you could use the Pen Tool in "Shape" mode with no Fill and a coloured Stroke with the weight that you prefer. The controls for that are in Options bar when the tool is active.
