JLabel full Text not Shown
Hi,
when a JLabel is inserted in a layout and it does not have the needed space to show all the text it contains, the result is a part of the text shown followed by " ... ". I would like to know if there is a way to find out if this is happening, if there is a property or a way for me to find out this using code.
thanks
Zede
I am able to scroll , but again I can't see the complete string ?

Full text not getting displayed while using RSRT
Hi,
I am facing issue while downloading data using RSRT in BI system.
When I go to RSRT and execute a report the output doesn't display full text for a characteristic. i.e. the characteristic has a size of 60 characters, but only 30 chars ( approx) are being displayed as report output in RSRT.
COuld anyone here please help me in getting the full text using RSRT transaction?
I am not using Bex here for the reason that the output has more than 1.8 lac records and hence I get an error while using Bex
WHen I try to execute this report using Bex for a small selection I could see full text there.
And there is no text master data maintained for this characteristic.
Thanks in advance for your replies.Hi,
As you said you have 1.8 Lac records, There is no point in increasing the size to maximum number possible i.e 65K .
You have following three options to satisfy your requirement.:
1. Usage of web reporting for export of more than 65k rows. According the note: 1127156 - Safety belt: Result set is too large, in BW version 7.x it I possible to set parameters that would allow such a massive export of data.
2. Functionality of OpenHubs. Data can be placed directly into the files (e.g. in CSV format) on application server. Be careful here OpenHubs are specially licensed and by using it there are additional fees.
3. Coding of custom ABAP report which runs BW query and gets all its output and saves it in the flat files.
Please let me know if this info is helpful.

Adobe PDF iFilter SQL Server 2008 R2 Full Text not working
Unable to get the SQL Server 2008 R2 to index PDF files for full-text searching.
Environment: Windows 7 SP1 Enterprise 64-bit, SQL Server 2008 R2 Express SP3 64-bit, Adobe Reader 11.x
Installed PDF iFilter 64 (11.0.01) from
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5542
Added its folder (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe PDF iFilter 11 for 64-bit platforms\bin\;) to the PC system Path variable. Rebooted PC.
Confirmed SQL Server sees the Adobe PDF iFilter ..... SELECT * from sys.fulltext_document_types where document_type = '.pdf'
Inserted PDF files to my table (see below for CREATE statement).
The SQLFT log says ... Warning: No appropriate filter was found during full-text index population for table or indexed view '[TestDB].[dbo].[pdfifiltertable]' (table or indexed view ID '2105058535', database ID '7'), full-text key value '1'.
Some columns of the row were not indexed.
Installed other filters for Office. Added files of type DOC, XPS. Confirmed the search query works for those file types. So as such SQL Full-Text is enabled and working.
Below my T-SQL commands:
Exec sp_fulltext_service 'load_os_resources', 1
Exec sp_fulltext_service 'verify_signature', 0
Exec sp_fulltext_database 'enable'

Why is some text not shown after merging multiple documents
One of my clients is using Adobe Acrobat XI and they are merging multiple PDF documents (up to 1000 single PDF's!) to create one big PDF document.
But somehow just some parts of the text are not shown after the merging (it is actually still there because you can copy and paste it in to Word and you will see it again)?
Any suggestions?Hi Wunold van Drunen,
Since you have identified the problematic pages, have you checked if the issue occurs with the same pdf when merged with a smaller number may be 10 pdfs.
How are these pdfs created? It might be possible that the said document's pdf structure is incorrect.
You may want to sanitize the said pdf's before combining and check.

Full Text not Displaying in table
Hi Experts
I am displaying Long text in Text elements in table But It is not displaying full Text only Half of text is displaying.
How to overcome this? Is there any length limitation for text elements in table.
and Variable type is STRING
i am concatenating lines from Read text FM.
Regards
Jagadish
Edited by: acj_vy on Aug 17, 2010 10:23 AMHi,
You should not concatenate the text into string which you read using READ_TEXT.
You should loop at the table and then display the text using work area of the table.
It will be displayed line by line as it is getting displayed in your standard transaction.
Thanks,
Archana -
guys,
We are using Suse Linux 11 SP3, with Groupwise 8.0.2, Windows XP SP3. I have a user who can't use the Tools/Find Full Text option. When the user searches for some words that are clearly in inboxe's emails, the search takes forever and does not find the results or finds a few emails that don't actually have the searched for phrases. That even applies to emails received the same day. Any thoughts? GWCheck was ran on the account and no problems are found. Thank you.FYI: I already did the user's index "Delete and recreate" at the POA. No help. But what I noticed is that when the I try to find, the Find Results Appears for a second or so with some results, then it disappears and a new one appears with no results.

Hi,
just to be clear: all steps are done on the users Workstation. Not on
the server.
I assume that the User with the Problem is working in the caching mode
and not in the online mode.
If he uses the online mode, this steps can't be done as there is no
local mailbox....
In fact the caching mailbox on the workstation of a user has also a
index DB, which can be corrupted. Therefore you can delete it and it
will be rebuild automatically.
The steps for that are:
1. Shut down the client
2. Delete all .idx and .inc files from under ofuser\Index
3. Start the client and wait until the rebuild of the index is done.
Then the search result should show you the expected mails :)
I've done these steps a couple times and it always worked for me.
Cheers,
Pascal

Have JQuery for List View web part, But Full Text Not Visible
I have a list view web part on a page with which, I've edited the view the way I need which includes grouping.
Inside IE's Developer tools, I can see the structure (TD and then an anchor tag linking to document) and see the class SharePoint uses for that TD. BUT - when I view the source for the page, none of the actual text in the created view shows up at all!
What I need to do is to wrap the text inside that TD with more html tags, along with adding a left padding. Adding the padding to the CSS file actually works fine.
The problem is, that when I add the JQuery to wrap everything in the TD the way I need it, since it technically hasn't been rendered yet, even with a document ready function around it, the JQuery never does what it is supposed to do.
here's the JQuery:
$('td.ms-vb').each(function() {
$(this).find( 'a' ).wrap(
$('<ul style="padding:0px;margin:0px;;">
<li style="list-style-type:disc;color:white"></li></ul>') );
I know the JQuery code works because I've tried it on a plain HTML page. The problem is the way the List View web part renders the output. since it's not available on the screen, the JQuery does not work.
I really need to do this without any programming, since this type of interface appears many times throughout the site.
Any ideas on how to accomplish this (get the HTML to show in 'view source' so I can apply the JQuery)?(bump)

Full-text search not available after upgrade from SQL 2008 R2 Std to SQL 2012 Std
We upgraded our production SQL Server from 2008 R2 Std to 2012 Std last week, and the installation logs show everything was successful, but now we are unable to do any searches against our full-text indexes. The resulting error is as follows:
"Full-Text Search is not installed, or a full-text component cannot be loaded."
When executing the query "SELECT FULLTEXTSERVICEPROPERTY('ISFULLTEXTINSTALLED')", the result is "0". The "Full-Text Daemon Launcher service is also running. When running installation again to add the feature, it shows
"Full-Text and Semantic Extractions for Search" as being installed and unavailable for selection in the list of features to add. As a side note, we did the same upgrade in our identical QA environment before production and everything was successful
and full-text searches are working correctly. We have run the "Repair" routine in the SQL Installation Center and it did not correct the problem.
The full-text catalogs still appear when browsing through the GUI in SSMS or querying sys.fulltext_indexes and sys.fulltext_index_columns. It is not possible to view the properties of the catalog in SSMS, though, as the GUI throws an error and an empty
dialog box is shown. Any other thoughts?
Thanks,
AJI have no idea what is going, but assuming that it is a little pressing to get this fix, I think the best path in this case is to open a case with Microsoft.

E-Recruiment: Full Text Search Not Working
Hi Guys,
We have a problem with the integration of SAP E Recruitment and TREX Search Engine. Maybe someone can share their idees if same problems occured.
We have of course done investigations on SAP marketplace and the sdn community. In Fact the TREX is configured and works fine for searches with drop down selections, etc> When using full text search however no responses are shown. When performing searches on the indexes in TREX itself we have results on free texts.(as example Web Dynpro application Full Text Search )
Does anyone has a clue where to look? Of course customizing have been reviewed several times. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Is a Full Text Index search case sensitive or not in SQL Server 2012?
I setup full text index on my contact table and am attempting to run a search on it using the following query:
SELECT *
FROM sysdba.Contact C
WHERE CONTAINS(C.FirstName, 'Test')
OR CONTAINS(C.LastName, 'Test')
The problem is it's clearly running a case sensitive search. I did a quick search to find out how to change it to be case in-sensitive and found two pages (both for SQL Server 2012) with conflicting answers:
1 - MSDN - "Query with Full-Text Search" - http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms142583(v=sql.110).aspx
Case sensitivity
Full-text search queries are case-insensitive. However, in Japanese, there are multiple phonetic orthographies in which the concept of orthographic normalization is akin to case insensitivity (for example, kana = insensitivity). This type of orthographic normalization
is not supported.
1 - TechNet - "Full-Text Search (SQL Server)" - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms142571(v=sql.110).aspx
Full-text queries are
not case-sensitive. For example, searching for "Aluminum" or "aluminum" returns the same results.
Can someone please explain this? Is it possible to do it without it being case sensitive? If yes, how?
(Sorry, I couldn't make those links b/c TechNet hasn't verified my account)
Thank you for your time and help,
HananWhats the collation setting for the columns? try using a case insensitive collation as below
SELECT *
FROM sysdba.Contact C
WHERE CONTAINS(C.FirstName COLLATE SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS, 'Test')
OR CONTAINS(C.LastName COLLATE SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS, 'Test')
