  • Jms Adapter Consume and produce

    Hai guys,
i don't know anything in soa. i have got a usecase which is to
    1) Read a .csv file
    2) Send it to a bpel (in bpel do nothing to payload). Again i have to send the payload to jms adapter( which i dnt knw how )
    3) From the same jms adapter passing the payload to mediator
    4) Pass the input to another jms( jms2 ). from jms2 pass the payload to another bpel
    5) from bpel to db adapter
    am using
    Oracle jDevloper 11.1.13
    Weblogic server is a 10.3.6
my problem is how to create the same jms in two ways like consuming and producing
    Thanks in advance
Edited by: Beckyard on Sep 26, 2012 9:49 PM

    Hi,
Why do you need 2 JMS queues? Can't you consider following pattern?
    Read .csv --> BPEL --> JMS Q
JMS Q --> Mediator --> BPEL (only if some payload processing required) --> Db Adapter
Assuming the above pattern, you'll have to develop 2 processes (in your pattern 3 processes).
    - One that will enqueue the data in JMS in which the JMS Adapter will be placed in the External references and will be invoked with Produce operation.
    - Another process in which Mediator will consume the message using Consume operation from JMS and pass it to BPEL for inserting into database. In this case, JMS Adapter will be placed in Exposed Service swim-lane.
Let us know how you proceed.

  • XI JMS Adapter encoding and codepage (MDMP) problem

    Hi
I have a scenario where i convert an IDoc into a target structure and post it onto a Websphere MQ queue using JMS adapter. The SAP system which sends the idoc is a non/unicode system and i can receive data which can either danish, polish etc. Within XI the mapping works fine and the data is transferred to the MQ series queue. But when the third party system tries to get the message from the queue it says it downloads the message and is unable to convert the downloaded message due to invalid content (special danish, polish characters). Also the CCSID and encoding expected is 1252 and 546 respectively, but whenever i send message to the queue the CCSID is 1252 but encoding is 273.
Any idea as to why the above is happening, and how can it be corrected.
Also if anybody had faced any issues with respect to code page problems and resolved it with JMS as either sender or receiver, please share the same with me as well.
I am repeating that my SAP system is non-unicode (MDMP) system.
    thanks

    Sameer,
I guess u can ask the third party to set CodedCharSet in GetMessageOptions. Actually my MQ knowledge is around 4 yrs old but I remember we had similar problem when we were pushing messages on remote queue of MQ on AS-400. I hope they resolved by setting this value.

    Hi,
I have been asked like 'how can we handle breaked large messages in sender JMS adapter?'and lets say I am getting some messages as it is and some are breaked into small segements for the mesaages that are large....
do we need to use module,if so is there any standard module that we can use to hanlde this type of scenarios?

  • Error status in JMS adapter - sync / async brigde. Message processed ok

    Hi guys
I'm having som trouble with my scenarion. I'm sending sync message from SAP backend to XI using proxy. From XI onwards to JMS adapter async (and the other way around for the response message).
This works OK. However i have a status error in my RWB on the JMS adapter. There is er red exclamation mark and a text saying:
Correlation ID 'XXX' of JMS request message 'ID:yyy' saved that correponds to XI message 'XXX'
How do I get my adapters in status green?
    Kind regards
    Martin

    Hi Kai
    Oh - OK
    Settings are:
    Receiver JMS channel:
Set JMSCorrelation to: XI Message ID (MessageID)
Store JMS CorrelationId of request: Mark
    Sender JMS channel:
Set XI Message ID (MessageID) to: GUID (Recommended Value)
Set XI Conversation ID (ConversationID) To: Stored JMS CorrelationId of Request.

  • JMS Adapter to remote JMS Server in ESB??

Has anyone successfully setup a JMS adapter in the ESB to talk to a JMS server on a remote host?
We are using OC4J JMS and so I followed the instructions in section 5.2.1.7 in the Adapters guide on this. I updated the oc4j-ra.xml file. The guide didn't state which version of oc4j-ra.xml to update, but I've been told to use the one in:
    $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/<oc4j>/application-deployments/default/
So, I added the XML block as specified in this section and made the JMS Connection JNDI name match that of my JMS Adapter. However, the Adapters guide then states the following:
In addition, you must have the file META-INF/application-client.xml in the
classpath. The contents of the file can be the following:
    <application-client/>
To put this file in the classpath, put the specified contents into the file at Oracle_
    Home\bpel\system\classes\META-INF\application-client.xml and
    restart Oracle BPEL Server.
This is a problem for me because I have an advanced installation with ESB and OWSM on top of OC4J, but I do not have BPEL installed in this location. As such, the file $ORACLE_HOME/bpel/system/classes/META-INF/application-client.xml does not exist. I did a search and did find an application-client.xml at the following location:
    $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/oc4j_esbdt/connectors/JmsAdapter/JmsAdapter/META-INF
But at this point, I don't know what to do with it to ensure it is in the classpath. The Adapters guilde says to cycle the BPEL Server, so I cycled the ESB for good measure, then deployed my project, but no luck! It is still listening to the local jms server and not the remote one.
Has anyone successfully set this up? What am I missing or doing wrong?

The above classpath requirement should only ensure that BPEL module can access the JMS adapter. Otherwise it should be OK.
I would reccommend to try to establish the JMS connection and see if some parts of the Oracle AS will throw any exception or something. It might start working as well.
As I understand, you are trying to access OC4J JMS from another server. As JMS is purely TCP level protocol there should be no problem accessing it from anywhere. Only the addresses and ports must be reviewed and ensure that they point to correct place, that usernames and passwords are correct and that there is a JNDI connectivity available as you use JNDI to get the connection factories.

  • Configuring JMS Adapter (AQJMStoDB)

    Hi All,
    Merry Christmas!
I think I am reopening the below previous thread but I really am stuck.
Re: Can ESB JMS adapter read and write from/to Oracle AQ
I am trying to wrap up the AQJMStoDB example in

Can you help me identify the problem.
I am using XE database and jdk 1.4.12_16.
Please let me know if you need more information on the setting and stuff.
    Thanks,
    Kalyan.

Just to understand your problem a little better, say you have processes A and B that you promote b/w these 3 environments. Also, say A is a standalone service invokable by external clients; say B is a service that is invokable by an external client and called by A as well.
Now, in this example, both A and B have web-service end points that change from one env to another.
W.r.t process A's caller, it should know the correct endpoint to invoke the service. Now if there is just one external client that is switching b/w the various environments, it has the responsibility of making this switch b/w the various endpoints (dev to test to prod). Now if this external client is an Oracle BPEL process as well, refer to solution below.
As far as process A's implementation goes, yes, it would have to change to invoke process B correctly. So, in dev, A should call B in dev; in stage/prod, A should call B in stage/prod. BPEL PM provides a solution to accomplish this via a customize ant task - refer to the section titled "Deploying to Multiple Environments with Different Configuration Values" in "Oracle® BPEL Process Manager Developer’s Guide 10g (10.1.3.1.0) B28981-03". Nothing changes for B across these three env as it is not invoking any other internal services.

  • Having multiple service operations in a single JMS adapter best practice

    Hi All,
I am using JDeveloper and SOA Suite 11.1.1.6. I need to read from multiple JMS Topics and transform and enhance the messages through the Mediator and then persist into Database.
    My question is
What is the best practice to consume from multiple topics, Should I configure separate JMS adapter for each of the Topic destination
    OR
have a single JMS adapter with multiple operations by manually changing the JMS adapter wsdl and jca file?
    I find cannot have
    Please suggest.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Vijay,
did you actually test this? When I finish creating a DBAdapter, there is a operation present. Then when I click edit again on the DBAdapter, and I create another select, when I finish only the first operation is gone, and I can only see the one I've created via the last edit.
I dont understand your reply. Can I have two operations, each one with select underneath, in the same adapter?

  • Handling EDIFACT Files in File adapter without going for Seeburger adapters

    Hi Guys,
Is it possible to convert the EDIFACT files into XML using File content conversion?
We got some requirement where we need to exchange EDIFACT files like DESADV and ORDERS with our partner. I know we can handle these EDI formats using Seeburger adapters like BIC,AS2.
I'm just wondering is it possible to handle these files using FCC in File adapter or Is it recommended to go for Seeburger?
    Thanks
    Deepthi

    Hi,
its better to opt for seeburger for EDI data processings..

  • Difference between Seeburger FTP and OFTP adapters

    hi,
Can anybody tell me the difference between Seeburger FTP and OFTP adapters?
On what basis should one make a business decision as to which adapter to go for?
    Kindly help urgently.
    Regards,
    Loveena

    Hi ! Loveena
Seeburger EDI Adapter provides an EDI solution on internet via HTTP or AS2 to replace the expensive VAN. It provides some pre-built mappings for IDOC to ANSI X12(810,850,855,856 etc.,) and Idoc to EDIFACT(ORDERS,DESADV,INVOIC etc.,) and has the ability to build your own. These pre-defined mappings transform the IDOC-XML to EDI-XML format.
Seeburger Adapters are used to Connect the applications which are using Message protocol/Transport protocol as CrossIndustry(payment), VAN, OFTP, AS2(EDIINT), Generic and EDI based applications.

OFTP ist a communication protocol. This has nothing to do with the format you have to transfer.
regards the format you have to clear at which standard you have to transfer the messages. This can be any EDI format. At OFTP area the standard are often VDA or ODETTE.
You can create this messages using different EDI adapters (of course also the mendelson adapter ).
Regards OFTP you need additional software which handle the transfer based on the OFTP standard. Mostly you also need an ISDN card for using this protocol.
We can support you with this software for OFTP transport too.
More info also available at http://www.mendelson-e-c.com/.
have a look at the ACTIS OFTP Adapter

in the Seeburger SWCV under External definitions you will find the xsds
    > 2) Does it provide  std mappings for all the message type which converts EDI to XML and XML to EDI format?
the standard mapping is provided but it is usually required to customize them to suit your requirement.
    > 3) Provides different adapters?
yes. depends on what you have ordered from the vendor. typically it comes with the Seeburger AS2, file and VAN adapter
    > 4) BIC mapping designer tool?
    yes.
    > 5) Adapter modules?
    >
    Yes.
The documentation available with the CD will guide you to use all this.
