  • C240 M3 Stuck at "Configuring and testing memory .."

    Hi,
This server's just been returned to us from Cisco, who had it on loan since it was new.   We're trying to put it back into service, but have hit the following problem.
On first power-up the server gets as far as the "Configuring and testing memory .." message.  Just that message, it doesn't show any progress in actually testing memory.   After a few seconds it shuts itself down, then spins up again, repeating that a couple of times before sitting with the "Configuring and testing memory .." message at the top of the screen, but now also showing CIMC IP address at the bottom.   All four LEDs above the power button show steady green,  and the unit ID buttons switch the blue LED on/off as they should.
I can get to the CIMC login screen, but the password's been changed from default so can't get any further in that direction until we find out the new user/password details.  Unless someone knows how to reset CIMC to default.
I've tried the following recovery steps ..
    (1) If we set the "Clear CMOS" jumper J2065, the server won't power up.  It powers up to standby, but does not respond on pressing the power button.
    (2) Using the "BIOS recovery" jumper J2068 doesn't appear to have any effect, the server does not read the recovery file from USB flash drive.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Tony S

Cheers.  There's not much to reseat at this stage.   The server came back with two CPUs of unknown type, I've removed and set those aside in case they're some sort of weird CPU that needs a special memory configuration.
We've fitted a single E5-2609 as CPU1 and single DIMM in A1.  There are no PCI cards or anything else to reseat.    As a matter of fact the server behaves exactly the same if there's no memory at all, making me think it's hanging up before starting the memory check.
I would love to get into the CIMC, but does anyone know a way to reset the username/password other than via the BIOS screens (which aren't accessible).
    Thanks, Tony S

  • Sender JMS adapter configuration for IBM MQSeries

    Dear All,
i am doing a IBM MQSeries 5.2.x Message ->sender JMS adapter -> XI server -> receiver RFC adapter -> R/3.
i have deployed the JMS adapter with the required jar files of IBM MQSeries 5.2.x in XI server.
in Sender JMS adapter configuration for IBM MQSeries 5.2.x, i have put following data:
    1. Transport Protocol: Websphere MQ - is it okay?
    in JMS provider settings:
    2. in channel name - what should be there?
    3. Transport Network protocol should be TCP/IP or WebsphereMQ - how to decide this thing.
    4. JMS Complaint - whether WebsphereMQ or JMS API.
    in JMS Settings:
    5. JMS Queue user - is this IBM MQSeries 5.2.x Queue User or someother user?
    6. JMS Message Selector - what data to take here.
So if anybody has connected IBM MQSeries 5.2.x to XI via JMS adapter, please answer my above queries.
    Regards,
    Rajeev Gupta

    Hi Swaroop,
you can send me those documents at my gmail-id : [email protected]
    Hi All,
one more question - to connect XI server to IBM MQSeries via JMS adapter in ID, do we need to have a MQSeries Client installed on XI server - or - just by configuring JMS adapter, we can send messages from IBM MQSeries to XI server without any MQSeries client on XI server?
Why Channel name is required in JMS configuration data?
    Thanks,
    Rajeev Gupta

  • How to configure and test workflow for  Creating Leave Request

    Hi,
When I select <b>leave request</b> iView in portals I get an R/3 screen titled "Create Leave Request".And when I fill in the details for <b>approver</b> and press<b> send</b> I get this error message <b>"You are not one of the possible agents of the task".</b>
So help required to configure and test the workflow behind <b>Create leave request iView.</b>
    Regards,
    Pavanmeet.

    Pavanmeet,
you have to set all activities in the workflow to "general task" as well, not only for WS12300111 itself (doubleclick on each symbol with the "triangle").
check the status of the sent leave request in transaction PTARQ (Display Documents). Here the "next agent" & the "pers. no" of the next agent is of interest.
logon with the user, that is saved in infotype 0105 of the above mentioned pers.no. there should be the approve request.
you can check the status of the workitems with SWI1 (i assume your system is prepared for workflows , check SWU3)

  • Query: Sender JMS Adapter configuration

    Hi All,
I'm trying out a scenario which sends data from a Message Queue to SAP.
For this I need to configure JMS adapter in the sender side. I would like to know whether <b>should I specify any content conversion parameters like "fieldLength" or "fieldSeperator" as we do it in sender file adapter for XI's indivual field identification.</b>
If no then how the variables will get mapped properly to the XI outbound ( sender ) Structure from Message Queue???..
Bcoz I believe MQ sends the data as a single stream of characters not as individual field..
       Please advice..
    Regards,
    Joe.

    Hi Satarupa,
              Thanks for your reply.
But if I'm getting say a stream of 10 characters (Name - 4 characters, Address - 5 characters, Option - 1 character totally 10 characters), how the system will know it has to send first 4 characters to name defined in XI, next 5 characters to Address defined in XI and the next 1 character to Option  if I don't specify the conversion parameters??
Bcoz the data flows in the same way to XI as it flows for file adapter, where we speciy the content conversion parameters which helps it to send it to the variables defined in XI accordingly.
If you've some docs on both sender and receiver JMS adapters pls. lemme know..
    Thanks,
    Joe.

    thanking u
    regards ,
    ramesh

    Hello Ramesh,
I assume you deployed your jms libraries via SDM.
You can check a successfull deployment in the libraries of the server node via the J2EE Admin tool.
To get a more detailed log, you can augment the log level to debug for destinations
com.sap.aii.af.service.jms & com.sap.aii.adapter.jms. You can do so in the logConfigurator of the J2EE Admin tool.
Afterwards reactivate your comm channel in the configuration. (Just change the short text, so you can change and reactivate.)
When you then go to the defaultTrace file via the logViewer, you should see more details on the error.
    Greetings,
    Bart

  • Error in JMS Adapter Configuration.

    Hi,
Its regarding JMS receiver adapter for MQ Series.
We  have MQ 6.0 installed on PI server. While trying to connect thorough JMS receiver adapter we are getting a connection failure error at communication channel level.
The MQ administrator is of the opinion that as MQ is local  to the PI server a channel is not required.
In the MQ server, the administrator has created a Manager and Queue which we are using in the JMS receiver channel.
We  have provided the queue connection factory as the default one used for  MQ 5.3
class also as the default. (All the extra jar files required for MQ 6.0 is deployed).
    The error description  says:
Error during channel initialization; exception trace: javax.jms.JMSException: MQJMS2005: failed to create MQQueueManager for '10.23.86.134:XBEIG_QMGR1'

com.ibm.mq.MQException: MQJE001: An MQException occurred: Completion Code 2, Reason 2059

Any inputs would be very  helpful...

  • Jms Adapter Consume and produce

    Hai guys,
i don't know anything in soa. i have got a usecase which is to
    1) Read a .csv file
    2) Send it to a bpel (in bpel do nothing to payload). Again i have to send the payload to jms adapter( which i dnt knw how )
    3) From the same jms adapter passing the payload to mediator
    4) Pass the input to another jms( jms2 ). from jms2 pass the payload to another bpel
    5) from bpel to db adapter
    am using
    Oracle jDevloper 11.1.13
    Weblogic server is a 10.3.6
my problem is how to create the same jms in two ways like consuming and producing
    Thanks in advance
Edited by: Beckyard on Sep 26, 2012 9:49 PM

    Hi,
Why do you need 2 JMS queues? Can't you consider following pattern?
    Read .csv --> BPEL --> JMS Q
JMS Q --> Mediator --> BPEL (only if some payload processing required) --> Db Adapter
Assuming the above pattern, you'll have to develop 2 processes (in your pattern 3 processes).
    - One that will enqueue the data in JMS in which the JMS Adapter will be placed in the External references and will be invoked with Produce operation.
    - Another process in which Mediator will consume the message using Consume operation from JMS and pass it to BPEL for inserting into database. In this case, JMS Adapter will be placed in Exposed Service swim-lane.
Let us know how you proceed.

  • Unable to select jms destination in the jms adapter configuration

    hi,
I am trying to use JMS queues for consuming messages but after creating the JMS queues(destination) in the application server, i am unable to find the destination while configuring the jms adapter in jdeveloper.
    any help would be appreciated

i am using soa 10g. are you saying there is an option for starting the jms server in the application sever or do i have to create a seprate jms erver for creating the jms server etc.
it will be really helpful if you can explain the how to create/start jms server, jms queue etc or provide link to any article that is available. also please note that i am using SOA 10g

  • XI JMS Adapter encoding and codepage (MDMP) problem

    Hi
I have a scenario where i convert an IDoc into a target structure and post it onto a Websphere MQ queue using JMS adapter. The SAP system which sends the idoc is a non/unicode system and i can receive data which can either danish, polish etc. Within XI the mapping works fine and the data is transferred to the MQ series queue. But when the third party system tries to get the message from the queue it says it downloads the message and is unable to convert the downloaded message due to invalid content (special danish, polish characters). Also the CCSID and encoding expected is 1252 and 546 respectively, but whenever i send message to the queue the CCSID is 1252 but encoding is 273.
Any idea as to why the above is happening, and how can it be corrected.
Also if anybody had faced any issues with respect to code page problems and resolved it with JMS as either sender or receiver, please share the same with me as well.
I am repeating that my SAP system is non-unicode (MDMP) system.
    thanks

    Sameer,
I guess u can ask the third party to set CodedCharSet in GetMessageOptions. Actually my MQ knowledge is around 4 yrs old but I remember we had similar problem when we were pushing messages on remote queue of MQ on AS-400. I hope they resolved by setting this value.
