  • URGENT: JMS Adapter With BPEL: Reply Only Scenario

    Gurus,
I have the following scenario to be implemented:
    1) BPEL Process A invokes an Async web-service (on some other SOA)
    2) Process A then does some processing.
    3) Then, process A waits for a reply message. The reply is sent in a JMS queue by the async Webservice.
    4) I have an intermediate receive activity within the same BPEL process A that connects to the JMS Adapter. JMS Adapter is set up to consume messages from the queue.
I see messages pending in the queue but my receive doesn't continue.
    Thanks-
    Ashish

    Hello,
There are interoperability issues between the Mid-tier and the RDBMS at present because the the mid-tier is using older version of the AQ jar files. At present the mid-tier is based on 10.1.0.5 and the backend will be whatever the backend is. Your issue sounds like a NLS issue given that bytes are fine but text is not. The characterset of the database will probably be important in this situation. So you check if the issue reproduces with different charactersets if possible. What characterset are you using and what is the Payload that the queue table is built on?
I would also suggest you try and build a standalone java application which reproduces the problem. You could most likely achieve this by creating a 10.1.0.5 RDBMS home and using the jar files from that install and then run it against your database to see if it reproduces the issue.
Anything that you can do to break down the problem will help Oracle Support identify what the issue is.
    Thanks

  • JDBC receiver adapter for AS400-query time out due to Escape Symbol

    Hello,
I am uisng JDBC receiver adapter for AS 400, When I execute query, the query needs to have arguments in the open and close single ticks ('    12345' )
My XML pay load looks like this, which is RFC sender. Look at dcudcstmr in <i><b>(' 838912')</b></i>.  When receiver gets this message the ' (single quotes are disappeared.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <ns1:MT_Cma_Customer_Select_Request xmlns:ns1="http://freemanco.com/xi/Get_Customer">
    - <Statement>
    - <LawsonCustomer action="SQL_QUERY">
      <access>select f1.DACMCMPNY from sap.sapcustvew f1, sap.sapcustvew f2 where f2.dcudcstmr in <i><b>(' 838912')</b></i> and (f1.dcudcstmr=f2.dcudcstmr or f2.komaster=f1.dcudcstmr)</access>
      </LawsonCustomer>
      </Statement>
      </ns1:MT_Cma_Customer_Select_Request>
On the Receiver JDBC adapter I have tried with different combinations of Escape Symbol for Aposrophe as follows
    <b>   \
       '</b>
As you know this is related to epcape character, I get following error all the time. Looks like the query is not able to execute in the specified time. My question is how do I get single quote as part of query.
<b>select f1.DACMCMPNY from sap.sapcustvew f1, sap.sapcustvew f2 where f2.dcudcstmr in ( 100001) and (f1.dcudcstmr=f2.dcudcstmr or f2.komaster=f1.dcudcstmr) 2007-09-20 15:56:42 Error Unable to execute statement for table or stored procedure. Any feedback or helpfull tips appreciated.
    Thank you,

    Raj,
Thank you for the reponse. I am using UDF on sender to generate sql statement as you see in sender XML message. After the message reaching receiver, gets executed but no response from AS400 becasue of missing single quotes in the sql query executed.
    Sender XML sends
    <access>select f1.DACMCMPNY from sap.sapcustvew f1, sap.sapcustvew f2 where f2.dcudcstmr in <u><b>(' 838912')</b></u> and (f1.dcudcstmr=f2.dcudcstmr or f2.komaster=f1.dcudcstmr)</access>
    Receiver executes as
    select f1.DACMCMPNY from sap.sapcustvew f1, sap.sapcustvew f2 where f2.dcudcstmr in ( <b><u>838912</u></b>) and (f1.dcudcstmr=f2.dcudcstmr or f2.komaster=f1.dcudcstmr)
As you see the single quotes are missing. Like I said in previous posting I tried with following Escape Symbol for Aposrophe.
Let me know if you need more information.
    Thank you,
    Balaji

  • How to Recall same activity (Sub process) if time out error occurs ??

    Hi ,
how to recall activity/subprocess if error occurs for activiy ???
My use case is : I need to make vCO call from cpo (either using Webtarget or using Windows Powershell Script Activity) . if time out error occurs i need to make same call again . Can any one please help on this .
    Thanks
    SivaRam.

There is no inherently built in "recall" however this is not hard to do through content authoring.
If you believe this activity to fail a lot then I would do this...
*Setup a local boolean variable, default to false
*Set a while-loop to run while that local boolean is false
*When the activity runs if it's state is Succeeded or Not failed then set the boolean to true
That should accomplish what you want, however following a best practice I would be a max retry on there to limit the number of times it would attempt before you need to alert yourself that there could be an actual issue.

  • JMS adapter settings for response to dynamic queue

    Hello,
We are sending a message through JMS to SAP in a synchronous manner (client waiting for the reply after sending the request). The SAP is receiving and processing the message.
We configured the JMS Sender & Receiver channel as per solution given in SDN for the quetion. ( (2.8) Does the JMS Adapter support the JMSReplyTo feature? )
    1. In Sender communication channel, checked the "JMS Message ReplyTo Destination" attribute  of 'Adapter specific message attributes'
    2. In Receiver communication channel, added the "JMS.Message.DynamicDestination" parameter and value 'true' (without quotes for both strings) in "Set JMS Additional Parameters" table
    3. Added the "JMSReplyTo" header syntax in input xml message as below:
                        a. Message : <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
                                 <ns0:getEmployeeInfo xmlns:ns0="namespace">
                                 <employeeId>0000001</employeeId>
                                 </ns0:getEmployeeInfo>
                        b. Destination = com.someDestination
                        c. JMSReplyTo= com.someReplyQueue
We have selected Transport protocol option "Access JMS Provider Generically"
But it is not able to send the reply to replyTo destination of the message.
Wondering if there is anything in the JMS Adapter setting like reply to Destination (technical term DCJMSReplyTo) which can be set to reply queue of the message (to a dynamic destination).
Please let me know in case anybody knows about the same.
    Thanks & Regards,

•The JMS API specifies three types of acknowledgments that can be sent by the JMS publisher:
◦DUPS_OK_ACKNOWLEDGE, for consumers that are not concerned about duplicate messages
◦AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE, in which the session automatically acknowledges the receipt of a message
◦CLIENT_ACKNOWLEDGE, in which the client acknowledges the message by calling the message's acknowledge method

    Hi All,
My Scenario is Database --> PI (7.1) --> SOAP (synchronous) .

  • Invoking Jms Adapter from BPEL with enque stoped

Hi guys, I have an issue.
In my BPEL flowI have an invoke activity which has a jms adapter as a partner link.
The thing is that if you stop the enque in the DB, your flow in BPEL continues like nothing happened. It just passes the payload to the jms adapter. From it's point of view is asynchronous , but I want to make sure that the payload is in the queue before I continue the flow.
    Any ideas?

    Hi Oracler,
I don't understand what you mean by XML schema inline? Where do you define that in a JMS adapter ? Can you be more specfic when you say Try including both the elements(TEXT_LOB , TEXT_VC ) in the schema? I don't have those elements in my schema at all. I have tried the opaque option I still get the same Translator NULL error.
    Please anyone help....

  • SOAP ADAPTER TIME OUT ISSUE

We are getting the data from sql server into PI through Soap adapter.
Till day before yesterday everything is running fine .But now it has started giving us the below error.
there were no changes done in the interface.
I am not able to see any error in the runtime workbench ,communication channel monitoring, message monitoring.
This below error is giving in sql server.
Can any PI expert explain or provide me a solution to solve this issue.
    Msg 6522, Level 16, State 1, Procedure sp_PI_WS_Backflush_Production_V2, Line 0
A .NET Framework error occurred during execution of user-defined routine or aggregate "sp_PI_WS_Backflush_Production_V2":
System.Net.WebException: The operation has timed out
    System.Net.WebException:
       at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetRequestStream()
       at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.Invoke(String methodName, Object[] parameters)

Time out issue could be due to the long running process in your SQL server. please check the SQL server for its performance and also check the number of http worker threads on the SQL server side where the SOAP adapter makes the call and get the request back.

I have tested to put a file (with the same FTP parameters) from the promt of the xi server operating system and all works fine. can someone help me to find why the time out connection happens?.
    Thank you very much
    Alberto.

I have tested in the xi server: run->cmd->ping nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn and I don't reach the ftp server but if I test in the xi server: run->cmd->ftp nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn and introduce the user and password then I log in without problem and I can put the file in the remote directory.
If you see in the log above:
2008-05-08 18:41:51 Success Connect to FTP server "NNN.NNN.NNN.NNN", directory "/ochoaesmar"
    2008-05-08 18:41:51 Success Write to FTP server "NNN.NNN.NNN.NNN", directory "/ochoaesmar", file "ochoa20080508_0000000006166839"
2008-05-08 18:41:51 Success Transfer: "TXT" mode, size 412 bytes, character encoding UTF-8
2008-05-08 18:42:12 Error Attempt to process file failed with Connection timed out: connect
the first 3 steps are ok. If the ftp was down or if credentials was wrong other error will be generated.
    Thank you very much.
    Alberto

  • JMS Adapter Fail - Receiver channel. Details: Receive timed out

Its an IDOC to JMS scenario. IDOC gets processed through the pipeline in XI successfully, can see the checkered flag.
However in Adapter monitoring, JMS adapter is in red.
The error text against the Communication Channel is "Receiver channel. Details: Receive timed out".
I am trying to connect to the JMS queue provided by a third party on port 1100 ( as configured in JMS adapter). My initial analysis is to check if the port is open on the third party's firewall( Need to get the response back from them yet).
However i would like to know, if there is something else that i should look into?

Following are the error messages in RWB audit log for the message sent.
Exception caught by adapter framework: The JMS channel with channel ID 3f307d6854683859b39f978a43e88872 is errornous. Details:Receive timed out
Error Delivery of the message to the application using connection AFW failed, due to: The JMS channel with channel ID 3f307d6854683859b39f978a43e88872 is errornous. Details:Receive timed out.
    what might be the problem?

  • SOAP Adapter: Connection time out error

    Hi Guys,
I do it one scenario for Proxy to webservice Asynchronous . I have send the input details through Proxy. In Sxmb_Moni shows success message. But Receiver side doesn't reach the payload. Because receiver side (Soap Adapter) shows connection time out error. But i have given correct URL and SOAP Action in receiver communication channel. Please give some suggestions to solve that issues. Please don't refer links.
    Thanks & Regards
    Vijay

    hi
this is a time out error
increase the timeout value by specifying the parameter
XI.Timeout in the module parameter of soap Adapter
    OR
    1. This is because of TimeOut. The default timeout value for synchronous calls is 5
minutes. You can increase this value by setting parameter XI.Timeout in the module parameter table of
the SOAP adapter. The value must be given in milliseconds. For example, value 600000
represents the timeout value of 10 minutes. This parameter is not recognized in systems prior to SP13.
2.The Other Options is send the queue id with your request message.
    http://host:port/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=p:s:c
    &version=3.0&...&QueueId=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
where xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx is an ABAP queue ID.
    3.Check your RWB message monitoring.
Is there any system failure message and holding message be there.
    If then clear the messages.
    4. Increase the time out parameter for HTTP in your altova xml spy.Defaultly it will be very low.

  • JMS time-out

Hi, could anyone tell me what exactly means time-out for JMS? Does JMS has time-out concept? If any, what does it time out, session or connection?
    Thanks

    Hi,
JMS Timeout has nothing to do with Session Timeout or connection timeout.Concept is same.
Application server waits till the message is delivered and within some time if it doen't get the response, it times out.
    I hope u understood this.
