JMS resource not located when starting Weblogic 8.1 as windows service

I have a Weblogic 8.1 cluster which I am trying to configure as a Windows service.
The managed servers startup up without errors when started from the command line, but when I start it up as a service they do not seem to find the JMSConnectionFactory that has been configured.
Any ideas on what I am missing ?
          Malini

Can you post the error message? Are your custom connection factories targeted to the cluster?

  • Resource not release when starting/stopping the deployed application

I am testing to deploy an standard web application on Weblogic 11gR1 at Windows XP. It is running and everything is working fine. But I noticed below situation which concersns about the release of resouce during stop and start deployed application by using Admin Server Console:
After the deployed application starting running in Weblogic, I go to Admin Server Console to select the deployed application at deployment section and click "stop\When work complete". It looks like that the deployed application was stopped and its state went to "Prepared". Then I start it again by click "Start\Servicing all requests". It started correctly. If I tried multiple times of "Start \ Stop" operations on this deployed application, then eventurally, I got "output memory" exception and Weblogic died. I wached the memory usage of Weblogic, when applying multiple times of 'start / stop' operation on an deployed application, the memory usage of weblogic continuese to grow and until "output memory" exception occurs.
Is it normal? What might be wrong when configuring weblogc? or somethng wrong for deployed application?
Anybody can provide any help would be great appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Jim

    Hi Mithun,
Thanks for your reply! If stopping the deployment need some time to finish, So, admin console of weblogic should disable ( grey out ) its starting button while the related deployed application is still shutting down. After the deployed application were stopped completely, then enable the starting button again to avoid the issue.
I just feel a little bit strange for the admin console of Weblogic to behavior on start / stop deployed application.
    Thanks,
    Zhiping

  • How to avoid JMS validation when starting weblogic server

    Hi All,
When starting up WebLogic server, it will validate JMS destinations one by one for deployed applications.
If I don't connect the VPN, then these JMS destinations are not reachable, and WebLogic Server will spend a lot of time to try connecting to these JMS destinations.
Thus it will take a lot of time to startup the WebLogic Server.
How can I disable JMS validation when starting weblogic server?
    Thanks and Regards!

    Hi Daniel,
By blank do you mean that the screen is black? Is it gray? Is it blue? The word "blank" is vague when trying to determine and isolate startup issues.

  • MDB deployement error in Glassfish - "JMS resource not created"

    Hi,
I'm tring to deploy a J2EE application which has couple of MDBs in Glassfish 2.1. I get the following error when I deploy the EAR file to the app server. I've cofigured JMS resources using admin console but still getting this error. I've no experience of JMS, I'm not sure if I've configured it correctly. Any step-by-step guide with screenshots would be very useful, but can't find any. Please help me if you have any idea what I'm doing wrong. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
According to your description, in my opinion, it seems like not bcd file problem. It's PC itself problem, maybe a hardware problem, also can be system componments corrupt.
Can this PC startup successfully if you choose reboot or shutdown PC? Or this problem just occures after resume system from hibernate?
For Windows boot process knowledge, you can refer to the contents of the link below for more details:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/11341.the-windows-7-boot-process-sbsl.aspx
For your problem, in my opinion, it would be better to use System installation to fix this system file for test.

Download update 4 for Intel x64 or Amd if your notebook have an Amd CPU of Visual studio 2012 and trya again. Before you can controll if the installer install library of visual studio 12 during installation and see if the library missing is on windows\system32.

  • Need to host weblogic server as a windows service

    Hi,
I need to host weblogic server as a windows service, Along with the log file in which I can log the System.out.println statements.
I am having weblogic server 10.3.4
    Thanks in advance
    Harshal

    Hi Harsgal,
You can use the Windows Service configuration script mentioned in the following link:
    http://middlewaremagic.com/weblogic/?page_id=2594#comment-3454
Ans as you mentioned that you want to see the System.out.println statements also in the server.log then in that case please add the JAVA_OPTION in the same script mentioned in the above link as *"-Dweblogic.log.RedirectStdoutToServerLogEnabled=true"*
    Example:
    echo off
    SETLOCAL
    set DOMAIN_NAME= Test_Domain
    set USERDOMAIN_HOME= C:\BEA103\user_projects\domains\Test_Domain
    set SERVER_NAME=ManagedServer1
    set PRODUCTION_MODE=true
    set WL_HOME=C:\bea103\wlserver_10.3
    set ADMIN_URL=http://AdminServerHostname:7001
    set MEM_ARGS=-Xms1024m -Xmx1024m  -Dweblogic.log.RedirectStdoutToServerLogEnabled=true
    call "%WL_HOME%\server\bin\installSvc.cmd"
Topic: Managed Server As Windows Service
    http://middlewaremagic.com/weblogic/?p=680
Also if you want to create a Separate STDOUT and STDERR file to collect your System.out.println Statements then please add the following MEM_ARGS as well inside your script:
    JAVA_OPTIONS=-Dweblogic.Stdout=D:\bea_home\wlserver_10.0.2\user_projects\domains\syncro_domain\ASstdout.txt  -Dweblogic.Stderr=D:\bea_home\wlserver_10.0.2\user_projects\domains\syncro_domain\ASstderr.txtThanks

    Stopping Pointbase server...
    Pointbase server stopped.

I believe this is the error you get when you try to start up a JVM with the commandline option '-native'.
Remove this flag from your startup script and retry.
By the way, it may be that you have the environment variable 'JAVA_OPTIONS' set to '-native' in which case:
(first confirm this is the case)
    $ echo $JAVA_OPTIONS
    -native
(Then edit the startup script if you get the result above)
    add in a line:
    # To remove '-native' flag
    unset JAVA_OPTIONS
    and retry.
I have to confess I don't know what the '-native' flag is actually supposed to do, but my JVM also reports back that this is unsupported.

    Tshifhiwa,
    Back again? Nothing learned?
    No jdev version?
You should n^know by now that you have to give at least some basic information.
A description of what you tried to do outside the listing would help too.
