JNI_GetDefaultJavaVMInitArgs returns 0, but no data
Platform is windows I've tried uninstalling reinstalling and upgraded to 1.5.0_04.
My path contains:
C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_04\bin;
C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_04\bin\client
I've tried switching that second dirrectory to the other ones with jvm.dll.
vm_args.version = 0x00010001; // returns -1 with this
vm_args.version = JNI_VERSION_1_4; // works with this
res=JNI_GetDefaultJavaVMInitArgs(&vm_args);
The structure isn't touched by the function. I've tried using JavaVMInitArgs, to see if that's what was being filled in, but it really doesn't fill in anything. It only looks at the version number and fails under some.
Going on I can appearantly start the JVM, if I leave the parameter 1_4.
res = JNI_CreateJavaVM(&jvm, (void**)&env, &iArgs);
I can't however load a class. I've tried setting my CLASSPATH as a global enviroment variable containing "." and can't find a class in my present dirrectory. Yes, I've restarted everything so the variables are seen by my program in the debugger.

I'm all out of ideas. Any help?!?
1) JNI_GetDefaultJavaVMInitArgs isn't ought to changing vm_args. If default args are empty it will done nothing. Just read the spec, pls.
2) Try to print exception message (via ExceptionDescribe) after FindClass failure it will help you to find out the cause.
PS JNI is working, otherwise you can't start JVM at all.

Apex 4.0 - Can see view data in SQL*Plus but no data in Object Browser

I have just started using Apex 4.o and migrated some apps. I have an issue with a report, but see the same issue with Object browser, which is easier to describe.
I have a view:

It just seems weird to me, as tables are just fine, but not views.
In the underlying schema:

In fact, I would like to know more about how Apex gets access to do DML against the underlying parsing schema(s).
This is a little frustrating though. It worked just fine in lots of apps in version 2.1 to 3.2
Am I missing something

Processed cube sees no changes, but new data have been inserted..
Simple AdwWorks cube has time dimension with years range from 2000-th to 2007-th. Fact data exists for 2001-2006. 2000-th and 2007-th are empty. Ok.
I'm insert new data to source fact table for 2001-th and process the cube. All changes immediately reflect in measure value (it grows). But new data for 2000-th don't reflect in measure value growing . Nevertheless, during cube processing
SSAS sees new rows for both cases (the value grows), and sql profiler catches equal batches of commands for 2001-th and 2000-th. But measure value grows only for 2001-th.
I've clear mdx-script - it contains now only calculate command. Now there is:
a) select sum(measure value) on fact tables in source database reflect new rows for both cases
b) cube processing sees changes for both cases
c) mdx-script is clear (there are no scopes, witch can set measure value to null )
d) select [sales amount] for cube reflect this changes only for 2001-th, not for 2000-th
Any suggestions?

The problem seems as resolved, but... I don't know: is it tech and/or logic feature or bug..
So, what is happened.. Simple mdx query:
select [sales amount] on 0,
[some date from 2000] on 1
from [cube]
gives null value for [sales amount], but for [some date from 2001] value is not empty. In database fact table both values (results of sum(salesamount) for both dates) are not empty. After research i found that there was one measure ([Temp]) in the [sales amount]
measure group for which MeasureExpression was set to [sales amount]*[average rate] ([average rate] - measure from [Fact Currency Rate] measure group). Fact table for [Fact Currency Rate] measure group didn't contain data for 2000-th. I've insert it and - vualya
- all work and for 2000-th now. Main question is: why ssas calculate MeasureExpression formulas for measures, which I'm not request in a query, and why ssas set requested by me value to null, if it does not depend from formula of MeasureExpression property

[sales amount] on 0
from [cube]
This
query doesnt pick only the measure value, but also fetches the "All" attribute for the all the dimension attributes. Hence, if the UnaryOperatorColumn influences the All attribute's value, then it will affect the results of the query above.

Pipeline Table Function returning a fraction of data
My current project involves migrating an Oracle database to a new structure based on the new client application requirements. I would like to use pipelined table functions as it seems as though that would provide the best performance.
The first table has about 65 fields, about 75% of which require some type of recoding for the new app. I have written a function for each transformation and have all of these functions stored in a package. If I do:
create new_table as select (
pkg_name.function1(old_field1),
pkg_name.function2(old_field2),
pkg_name.function3(old_field3),
it runs with out any errors but takes about 3 1/2 hours. There are a little more than 10 million rows in the table.
I wrote a function that is passed the old table as a cursor, runs all the functions for the transformations and then pipes the new row back to the insert statement that called the function. It is incredibly fast but only returns .025% of the data (about 50 rows out of my sample table of 200,000). It does not throw any errors.
So I am trying to determine what is going on. Perhaps one of my functions has a bug. If there was would cause the row to be kicked out? There are 40 or so functions so tracking this down has been a bit of a bear.
Any advice as to how I might resolve this would be much appreciated.

Did you do any bench marks to see whether the pipelined functions did offer performance benefits over doing it some other way?
From the context of your comments I think you are trying to a populate a new table from a single old table. Is this the case? If so I would have thought a straightforward CTAS with normal functions would be more appropriate: pipelined functions are really meant for situations in which one input produced more than one output. Anyway, ifr we are to help you I think you need to give us more details about how this process works and post a sample transformation function.
There are 40 or so functions so tracking this down has been a bit of a bear.The teaching is: we should code one function and get that working before moving on to the next one. Which might not seem like a helpful thing to say, but the best lesson is often "I'll do it differently next time".

All 3 existing/currently-used devices (Win XP pro 32-bit laptop, and 2 Android phones) are on Firefox 30 (latest version) and sync just fine; NEW laptop (a Win 7 64-bit laptop, HP pro650) says added, "Will Sync Momentarily" but no data transferred... Not a single bookmark, nor my theme or other configuration(s).
I realize, after finding hardware requirement, that 64-bit Win 7 allows Firefox to work fine and am using it right now (I downloaded v.30 Firefox as soon as I booted the brand new pc up today), it let me set up sync & everything, just never transferred any data...Almost impossibly time-consuming task to transfer the thousands of bookmarks & complete organization from my other laptop, and will not matter much if I cannot sync any new ones with it. I would hate to have to transfer everything into Chrome...
Am I out of luck with this 64-bit unit to sync at all until Firefox supports it in the future?

Well...Update Here: Tried Waterfox and it worked perfectly, got everything in from XP pro pc. SuperFast browsing too.

# Open about:config and turn on: services.sync.log.appender.file.logOnSuccess and services.sync.log.logger.engine.bookmarks
# Restart Firefox and look at: about:sync-log

I have a List which is having around 14000 items in it.while opening that list in datasheet view it is giving error .
Below is a summary of the issue:
After selecting datasheet view beow error occurs:
"Cannot connect to the server at this time. You can continue working with this list, but some data may not be available."
"Unable to retrieve all data."
The item counts displays say 100 out of 14000 items.
Exporting List to excel is giving only 2000 records out of 14000 records.
Other Observations -
This is happening to only one list on the site .There are other lists in the site whose no. of records is equal to 8000 to 9000.They are working absolutely fine without any error.
Also, If I am saving this list as a template and creating another list with it ,then it is working absolutely fine with 14000 records,so the issue does not seem to be related with no. of records as the template list is working fine.
I have checked the Alternate access mapping setting ,its fine.
It should not be related to lookup,datefield or any other column as the list created from it template is working fine with all these columns.
I checked below links also ,but doesn't seem to work in my case.

1. First install the
KB2552989 (Hopefully you might have already installed it. The KB detetcts it and informs the user.)
2. Then update registry by adding new key for data fetch timeout as mentioned inKB2553007
These two steps resolved the issue in our environment. Hope it might help others as well.

How do I save a PDF as an excel file when the PDF is horizontal. Adobe tries to rotate the page, but the data is entered in an horizontal format.
Thanks for the quick reply. I figured out how to get the desired results by using tagging. For anyone who may reference this post in the future, I went to "Customize" in the top right corner of Adobe, then selected "Create new tool set...", looked under "accessiblity and found the "tag" option. Hit ok, tag is added to the toolbar. Then I highlighted the dataset in the PDF that was relevant to the output format, then clicked "tag", saved as spreadsheet. Sorry I can't provide more details on how tagging works or if there's a more elegant solution available, but I'm sure one's out there.

I have a 15 inch mac book pro running osx 10.5.8. I recently moved to Florida and switched to Comcast (the only option). Now when I access my bank website, I can get past the login to my account page but the data is permanently unavailable. The bank says no one else has this problem. Everything is up to date as far as software is concerned. . .I just update anything that comes up. I have not had this problem with this computer anywhere else and I am not having a problem with any other website. I have the problem with both Safari and Google Chrome.

Authorize your new computer's iTunes first - Store>Authorize this computer.
1) Without connecting your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes. Click on Edit. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
2) Now connect your iPad to your laptop and start iTunes.
3) When iTunes starts, right click on your iPad under Devices in the left column. Select Transfer purchases etc.
4) After it finishes transferring all your apps to your new laptop, right click on your iPad and select Backup your iPad.
5) After it finishes backing up your iPad, right click on your iPad and select Restore etc.
6) After it finishes restoring, left click on your iPad , then click on the Apps tab on top, and check the box next to Sync Apps, then click on Apply below.
If everything on your iPad looks good after the sync, go back and click on Edit / Preferences / Devices and UN-check the box next to Prevent your iPod etc. The only other thing you may want to check is if your contacts, bookmarks, etc. are syncing correctly now. If not, go to the Info tab after connecting and make sure you indicate which features you want to sync with what sources.

I can't seem to wrap my mind around this one and if somebody could put together a proper select based on what I need that would be extremely helpful. If you need any more data to provide help just ask and I'll paste it.

Don't forget to post the INSERT statements, and the output from that data (if it is different from what you posted in your first message).
Basically I need to pull the data I showed above out of conc_test and cyl_break, but only data that has the proper job_number which is retrieved from the prod_poured table. The prod_poured test_id for everything that has the proper prod_poured job_no So an IN-subquery, like Sudhakar and I suggested, should work.
What was the problem when you tried them? Post the query you ran, even if you just copied and pasted it from this thread: there may have be an editing error.
prod_poured test_id is the same thing as conc_test pour_no and cyl_break pour_noExactly! But that doesn't answer the question: Is that value unique in all the tables? If not, in which tables can it be duplicated?
