Budget Exceeded Issue - Activated budget profile for existing project

Dear Experts,
I have a Project and not using any budget profile, already actual data exist only in CJI3 no data in CJI5.
Now I assigned Budget Profile in that project.
While entering Budget in T-code CJ30, I can see values in assigned values for a wbs elements.
Example -
WBS Element - XXXXXX-02 - 2000 (Assigned) - Here Budget Profile not assigned in the project
Same WBS Element - Once Budget Profile assigned, when am assigning same 2000 budget am getting budget exceeded issue.
If I give 2500 I am not getting any errors, My tolerance as only Warning message.

Hi Pavan,
As soon you enter your budgeting fig the availability control triggers, this check your assignment with available budget.this the reason you are getting error as you say there are already actual posting in CJI3.In this you need to balance first the fig which is appear in assigned column in CJ30.
Its a good practice to give budget first release it & then start procurement,confirmation etc.
Check this in budget profile availability control.

I have a scenario where users are asking to restrict the budget profile for a project profile in CJ01
For example.
Say i have the following Budget Profiles

ZXXXXX3

and
Say i have the following Project Profiles

The requirement is - I want to restrict the following way in CJ01 when I create a project.

Maintain Budget Profile for PM Order Type

Hi,
While trying to maintain the budget profile in Order types, budget profile couldnt be found for PM orders order type like PM01, PM02, etc., Order Types configuration has the budgeting profile. But still its not coming in KOAB where budget profile will be maintained for order types.
Please provide me the solution.

Assign plan/budget profile for internal order

i just tried to use T-code KO22 to do change budget for an order, but error msg show 'Assign a plan or Budget profile to the object'.so i wonder how to create the plan or Budget profile and assigned it? waiting for your answer....

Price problem while making budget PO for a Project

Dear Friends,
I wanted help from all you guys, this is related to budgetting in PS, the PS consultant prepares PR for a material wrt to a project , he has set a budget of say Rs 10000 to procure this material, now I use this PR to make a PO , & the net price of the PO is say 10000, it has a tax code carrying cenvat & say 4% CST, now the problem is when i try to save the PO , it gives me an error message saying that the budget has exceeded, that means though the net price is within the budget (Rs 10000), its also considering the tax part ,ideally it shouldnt have happened.
Kindly guide me how do I resolve this issue .

Error in activating status profile for SVT

Hi,
I've been trying to activate status profile EHS_SO for SVT in REACH compliance version 2.0 . But I am stuck.
When I save a sales order, a message-'Error when activating status 0001 for status profile EHS_SO in order XXXXXX' has come up. My IMG settings are as follows:
Sales documentr: No existing status profile used
Status profile: EHS_SO added with status SD
Environment parameter:SVT_SO_PROFILE: EHS_SO
SVT_SO_STATUS: 0001 used
Activate Status profile: STUCK (can't figure out the object type for VBP object type category)
Does anyone know?

Hi Bhaskar,
Assuming you have full authorisations, the procedure is simple.
Please go SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN transaction.
From the menu please select Project -> Copy
In the ensuing screen, key in your desired project name, scroll through the other checkboxes to see if you are happy with the default choices; if not, take corrective actions.
In the last set of radi buttons "Desired behaviour at later version comparison", the default choice (2nd entry there - Adjust target project to the original of the source project) is fine.
From your scenario, since you do not have a Template -> Implementation Project functionality and instead are copying from one Implementation to the other, this radio button is of little consequence.
Execute the process.
In the window that comes up, please choose Local Object, assuming that you do not want to capture the whole contents into a 'Transport'. This is more required if you are aiming to copy the project from one SolMan instance to another.
It would give an information message "Generating in batch job (Name ......)
In a few minutes, you'd receive an intimation of the Project being copied.
That's pretty much about it. Have a check on the newly created project in SOLAR01.

Seiban Wizard - Generating Tasks for existing Projects errors out

As I try to generate tasks using Seiban Wizard for an existing project, I am getting an error -"APP-PJM-58127: Task Creation returns the following error : Project ID is invalid"
Navigation:
1) Accessing Project Manufacturing Super User Responsibility -> Project Definition -> Seiban Wizard
2) Select (R) Using Project Number -> (R) Add an existing Project -> ( Select the existing project from LOV) -> ( Enter the Tasks sequence related data for generation)
I get the Error: "APP-PJM-58127: Task Creation returns the following error : Project ID is invalid".
Observations:
- The project being used is valid
- When trying to create new project and tasks using the Seiban Wizard, it is working fine,

Just make sure to change the version number in the plist, app info, etc. Certs are the same as long as they haven't expired on your end.

Issue in setting password for existing in JDBC Access Workgroup (MDW) Java

Here is my Scenario
I have MS Access DB (MDB file), and work group security file. I have credentials which have all the permit (Administrator user). This DB and MDW file is created on some other computer and i am using it on my computer now. What I am able to do till now is, I can log in the DB with different user name and password which are existing in the DB. Verified this by using Correct user name and wrong password It give error, but correct credentials it logins. Now I need to create a interface In Java to basic functionality. 1. Change password of currently logged user.

It returns successful. But when I try to log in the with the username and new password it says wrong passowrd and even the old password stops working.
Moreover, I tried to read all the username and passwords in the WorkGroup file using some third party software, it shows the new password is updated correctly in the MDW file.
I am using JDK 1.7 on Windows XP 32 bit. What can be the problem? Am I doing something wrong here? Thanks in Advance.

In the LDAP node create another account, call it 'Print Manager' or something suitable (shortname: printmanager), define a password and make that account an administrator for the Directory.

Change status profile for existing incidents

Hi experts
We were using status profile SLFN0001 with service desk and it was working fine, but we had to create a new status profile ZLFN0001 because of new requirements and everything works fine for the new incidents. The problem is that the old incidents still have the status profile SLFN0001, is there a way to change those "old" incidents and assign the status profile ZLFN0001 instead of SLFN0001?
Any help would be appreciate it

As far as I know, you will not be able to change the status profile with already implemented all incidents.

Activating split valuation for existing material code

All SAP Gurus,
We have certain material codes in ROH and HALB material types in a plant.
We are doing external procurement as well as inter-company stock transfer (STO) of the same materials.
We want to keep the separate accounting of the material which is procured from out side and which has been received through STO.
As the material codes are same, in my view only solution is to have split valuation for these materials.
Now, as the materials are already in use since very long, will it be possible to actvate split valuation for these materials?
If yes then how?
Is there any alternate way to tackle with the problem?

Better you go with Split Valuation. But Before u go to split valution u have u clear all Pending Documents for that material.
U must not have stock in for that particular material.
In Split valuation, use material Valutaion type STO or External procurements.
Donot make any of the Valuation Type as Default....it will create problem in Future.

Updating User Status and Status Profile for a Project

Hi,
      I am creating a Project using BAPI_BUS2001_CREATE.
      which uses a structure BAPI_BUS2001_NEW for storing details of a New Project.
      It <b>does not have fields for User Status and Status Profile</b> , if any one of you worked on Project Systems, please tell me is there any way to update these 2 fields.
I have tried lot of FuncModules and BAPIs which deal with PROJECT CHANGE and PROJECT MODIFY but none of them has these 2 fields.
Please provide me some solution for this.

About the documentation, thank to give me the link. However, they explain how to use the former version of Netbeans IDE. I use last version, 6.1 and so there is some change. (no need to do anything, plugin included in ide, not the same visualisation, etc...)
Thank also Saiesh123 for your comment. This work great and the access time are quite similar to BPE.
I still got some bug that i've report to netbeans:
- When I open/download a repository object, i always have this error:
A java.lang.NullPointerException exception has occurred.
I can bypass it simply by closing the xml tab then editing it again one or two times.
The other problem i had with browsing seams to be resolved: When you click a XML object in project and open it in editor, the component are showed in the navigator window. However, this is sad you cannot browse referenced field in other library like we do on BPE. Also, you don't have the preconfigurated user friendly interface for editing forms.

Hi Vishal,
You can go the Project builder, open the particular project and in the detail screen of the project definition, enter the budget profile in the control data tab page.
Or goto SPRO->Project system->Costs->Budget->Stipulate default budget profile for Project definition and assing the bedget profile.
Or enter the Budget profile in the Controlling tab page of the Project profile.
You can do all these for existing projects.
