JNLP Launching Error

Hi,
I am facing the problem of launching an application through JNLP file.
When I am launching the application with JNLP file as
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<!-- JNLP File for RMI-IIOP sample -->
<jnlp spec="1.0+" codebase="http://localhost:8181"

</resources>
<application-desc main-class="com.ayaam.applicationFramework.gui.view.uicontainer.concomponent.network.AymNetWorkDialog">

</jnlp>
The application is working fine i.e. successfully launched and i'm able to perform my operation but when I am chaning the codebase="http://localhost:8181" to codebase="http://10.249.8.243:8181" it is not starting the application.
The only change that i am making in JNLP file is that I am changing the localhost with the IP address of server. The changed JNLP file for reference is
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

Well, before you get any (further) misconceptions, I will point out that nobody here cares who wrote the application..
.. using java web start.
I succeeded deploying 'Sun dynamic tree example', but when I try to launch my app, the browser print.. 'Print' or 'display'? The first I've never heard of, the second is relatively easy to fix.
But when I click on the jnlp file (from the windows explorer), the application start !!!
How can I debug my problem ???Get some CRC into your keyboard. It might end up electrocuting you, but at least it will unstick that '?' key.

  • Launch Error - This file cannot be launched

    Hi all,
I renamed a class file in a flash build and now every time I try to debug my project (cmd+F11) I get an error window saying Launch Error - This file cannot be launched.
I have tried wiping the project and moving the files in to a new one and also restarting FB4 but with no luck. I have also tried setting up a brand new blank project and this will not launch either.
The problem seems to only be with Flash projects as a new Flex project runs ok.
I am running Flash Builder 4 , Flash CS5 on a Mac 10.6.4 and debugging in Google Chrome 7.0.517.41
    Any suggestions?
    Cheers

There is no adl listed in my list of active processes in Activity Monitor. I have tried rebooting my machine, restarting all my software and projects and cleaning my projects. No luck yet.
If I just switch to flash and run the fla directly it works fine so it must be Flex specific.
Cheers for the suggestionsso far . Keep em coming if you have them

  • TS1963 DMS Launch error after migration from snow leopard iMac to new Macbook Pro?

I just purchased a Macbook Pro. I used Migration assistant to transfer my files from my '06 iMac, which was running snow leopard to the Macbook and at start up now get a DMS Launch error every time... any suggestions??
The error message says check with the developer to make sure DMS Launch works on this version of OS X.  You may need to reinstall the application.
I have installed all updates as it suggests, to no avail.  I keep getting the error message and report pop up box each time at start up and the only way to be rid of it, is to click ok to send the report - there is no option to stop the report from coming up.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to stop the error message appearing and resolve the issue?
    Thanks

    Click Command+shift+G
Type in the following, one by one- Then delete the **** out of them.

  • Jnlp-launch consumes too much time to operate

    Hello all!
I want to discuss the UX we have using jnlp launch in JavaFX.
    You can find jira-discussion here:
    http://javafx-jira.kenai.com/browse/RT-14930
As you can see, it was recognized as major bug.
    What's wrong with jnlp-start?
    1. When user launch jnlp-file, red confusing window "Java 7..." appears immediately.
While it can be slightly useful in promotion purposes, but many of today's users will be disturbed. There is no association "Java means cool" today. Users wanted to launch new sexy app, but all they see is strange poster with "Java........."
Imagine pop-up window with "Adobe Flash XX.XXX" for several seconds every time when you try to launch flash game. Is it fine UX you await?
    2. I don't know, is it independent issue, or tightly coupled with previous one, but jnlp-start really consumes large amount of time.
On my machine with SSD most JavaFX apps can be launched from jar in less than 1 second.
But launching same app via jnlp take about 4-5 seconds total.
I suppose, it is self-evidently that launch of app with .jar files on disk must consume not much time than direct jar-launch.

    Hello,
    1) Should there even be a jnlp-start pop-up? Maybe a setting with no web-start pop-up or maybe the developer can provide own image to pop-up?
    2) It does seem a little slow. I see that in the jnlp file there are references to external URL's.... could it be that these URL's are being accessed every time the JNLP is launched causing this delay? Is the performance of the jnlp startup tied to the performance of the external site and its network?
    thanks
    jose

  • Using SSL with client auth from a JNLP-launched app

We have an application that is launched by JNLP, and which needs to make a mutually authenticated SSL connection to a server. The client cert and trusted certs that it needs to do this are stored in the Sun\Java\Deployment\security directory where JNLP knows to look for them. And Java WebStart itself seems to be able to use these certs just fine. However, our app seems blithely unaware of the location of the keystore/truststore unless we explicitly set the system properties javax.net.ssl.keystore and truststore. But we don't want to do that (it could be different for different users), and we shouldn't have to do that. So the question is, how can we use the same KeyManager/TrustManager that Java WebStart itself is using? Are they somehow available for the JNLP-launched app to use?
Failing that, is there a way for a JNLP-launched app to query the deployment properties? There are a bunch of properties to direct the behavior of Java WebStart (see [http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/deployment/deployment-guide/properties.html]), such as deployment.user.security.trusted.cacerts. These don't seem to be System properties. Can the app see them, or are the "private" to Java WebStart itself?

  • What is Browser Launch Error: 193? Cannot access Java information

After about the last 2 updates to Firefox, when I am updating Java, and wish to click on "Additional Information" there is a small box which pops up and states: Browser Launch Error: 193. Therefore I
am unable to access the additional information.

when an update is necessary an icon appears in the bottom bar (task bar), and I click on the icon to begin viewing it. When it has downloaded the install box appears with "terms of service". When I attempt to click on this is when the "browser launch error: 193" appears, and I cannot read the "terms of service" (or similar statement). The small box indicating the "browser launch error" pops up in the middle of the larger screen for downloading. This has only occurred since the last 2 (or 3) Firefox updates, so wondering if the updates are related to this(?). Never had this problem previously with the Java updates. I am bewildered by this, and the inability to read the "terms of service" (or similar statement). Because it states that you accept the terms of service, however without reading it, a user does not know what it says. Thank you both for your recommendations.

  • Using a DLL or .so in a JNLP-launched applet

I have a 3rd-party JAR which includes code that requires a DLL (or .so on Linux) to work and I need to use it in a JNLP-launched applet. What's required with Java 6 Update 16?
    1. I believe I need to get the DLL inside its own JAR and mark it as a native library in the JNLP. Is that just a matter of using the jar command to put it in the JAR?
    2. Must the applet then be signed?
    3. If yes to (2), will the end user still get some kind of security warning before running the applet?
    4. If yes to (3), will the warning only appear the first time the applet is run and not again after the JAR is cached?
    5. Do I need to manually "load" the DLL inside the applet's code? If not, how else does it know where to find the DLL (like -Djava.library.path in an application)?
    Thanks,
    The Gibbon

I have a 3rd-party JAR which includes code that requires a DLL (or .so on Linux) to work and I need to use it in a JNLP-launched applet. What's required with Java 6 Update 16?Nothing different than other JRE's, what's the question? That was an introduction to my set of 5 specific questions.
    1. I believe I need to get the DLL inside its own JAR and mark it as a native library in the JNLP. Is that just a matter of using the jar command to put it in the JAR?Yes it is.Good.
    2. Must the applet then be signed? No, AFAIKWell see hear's the problem. The Google research I did before I asked the questions was confusing as some people said it needed to be signed and others didn't. My own tests have encountered security exceptions and I was trying to know if they were because the applet wasn't signed. The whole purpose of me starting this thread was to save me a lot of time messing around with these kind of problems not knowing if it's even supposed to work or not.
See? It's all so amazing easy that making a simple test would have taken less time than this whole thread.
This is why we talked about spoonfeeding.I don't see that it's amazingly easy when you disagree with the majority of the posts and information I read which were in themselves contradictory. It's obviously not a clear cut subject and everyone has a different opinion. I was hoping someone who had tried what I am wanting to do could just tell me definitively if it was ever going to work.
What's even more amazing is that you didn't add any duke!I have to say I don't know anything about adding dukes, that's why I didn't do it.
Real thrill is you're probably gonna meet some real problem depending on your actual needs! LOL!
BTW: most of us has good knowledge of JWS but isn't such an applet expert (which, maybe, you are), so, in your case expecially, coming here with a realWorldJavaWebStartFailure would have been for sure the best approach, that's all you should really understand, IMVOHO.I realise that JWS is not often used to launch true applets but still I hope someone here would have done it and been able to share their experience.

  • PSD 13.0.1 launch errors

I have used PSD since version 1 and lots have changed, except that there is always a new version around the bend.
I just installed PSD 13 and updated it to 13.0.1. on my MacPro 3,1 with 16GB and 4TB.   Along the way I received launch errors :
    MMX cannot be loaded
    Color settings cannot be synched
Multiple Processor can't work with this version of Photoshop
I also received errors when I tried to creat a 3D layer from a shape or text layer or open a readable .obj file as a 3D layer.
I updated the nVidia GeForce 8800 GT with the new driver 304.00.05f02 posted 10/2/2012.
The first few times restarting with the new drivers, there was no changes.  Finally I was able to use the 3D portion of PSD 13.
Even though I was able to use the 3D, I still got the error warning on launch of PSD 'that the multiple processors weren't compatible with this version of Photoshop.'
The Adobe Help site<http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/photoshop-cs6-gpu-faq.html> says that my GPU will work with PSD 13.
I am also confused by the technospeak of open_gl and open_cl.  Some places refor to the GeForce 8800GT as having both and some dont refer to those terms.  I wish things were consistant.  If it was found to work with PSD 13 as stated in the above reference are GL & CL active in the card I have?
So why are there so many issues.  I never have had any and now I am wondering whether to go back to PSD 12 to avoid the hassles.
Please give some answers if you know so I can be confident using PSD again.

You copied plugins from a previous version of Photoshop by mistake.
Go delete all the plugins that you copied from a previous version.
And remember that the plugins folder should only have third party plugins in it.

  • "This game cannot be launched error" iPod Classic 160 Gb

I have an iPod Classic, 160 Gb. I purchased Sudoku from the iTunes store.
The game downloaded to my computer; and it shows in the iPod Games tab.
It appears to sync to the iPod, but in the iPod's games menu there is no icon for the game (just the black and white dice). When I try to play the game, I get the "This game cannot be launched error" with the prompt to reinstall the game.
Are there any fixes for this? I've tried all the troubleshooting in the support docs, and nothing seems to work.

Thanks for your suggestions; however none of them worked.
I contacted technical support, and the only suggestion they had for me was to request a refund - because for some reason, unknown to them, the game doesn't work on my iPod.
I'm not generally a ranter - I try to be polite to people, in person, on the phone, online - wherever, but I have to say that in my experience, Apple seems to have the worst support of any company with which I have ever dealt.
After being told no less than eight times, by five different representatives from iTunes support, I was referred to technical support, who told me in essence, "tough cookies" (although the representative certainly didn't say that, he was quite polite).
I had to double check that I was talking to "technical" support.
I've been a faithful iPod user for many years; but this experience has certainly soured me. I will have to think long and hard before buying another Apple product if the support I have experienced is indicative of a typical support instance.
    Thanks again for your suggestions.

  • Ray tracer failed to launch error is costing me time and money

Add me to the legion of people angry about this bug. Doing a search for it here and everywhere else basically leads me to the conclusion that Adobe knows about this problem and does nothing about it to fix it. I'm working on a project for a client with a deadline that's coming in a few days, and I have to constantly close AE and open it again, sometimes even reboot, to get it to work for a few minutes, and then it crashes again. So something that I could have been close to finish by now, I'm still not half way through because of this horrible bug that Adobe doesn't fix. Of course some people can't complain because they're running it on an unsupported card, but I'm running it on a GTX570 with 1.2 GB of RAM, so there's no reason why it shouldn't work. The machine also has an i7 3930k CPU with 32 GB of very fast RAM, and it's a fresh installation of Windows 8.1 Pro from less than a week ago, with all the latest drivers.
The project is very simple, a solid layer acting as a floor with a grid generator, a layer of text, and about 8 pictures sitting a few pixels above the floor. Nothing overly complicated, and it still crashes all the time. And this is not even a 1080p project, it's 720p.
And to add insult to injury, After Effects does not respect a custom layout when there was a comp viewer in the secondary monitor, so each time I restart AE I have to open a new comp viewer, drag it to the second monitor and resize it. Did nobody at Adobe think that people would be using two comp windows open at the same time, one in each monitor?
Adobe should focus less on adding new flashy features and instead making their software reliable, and not force people to buy CC. They should fix CS6.

I am having the same issue, though today I tried something that helped a lot.  I am working on a mac pro with a flashed Quadro FX 580 and a slower Quadro 4000 card, and two displays.  I've always plugged one display into each of the cards and lately frequently gotten the "Ray Tracer failed to launch" error. Today I plugged both displays into the less-powerful graphics card, leaving the 580 untaxed by running a monitor and so presumably entirely free for Ray Tracing.  And so far today I haven't gotten the error we both know too well.  You mention being on a PC and don't mention having two cards, so this may not help you.  But if you still have the card you swapped out for your 570 and can pop it in your rig it might be worth a try.

  • Launcher Error: Setuid error: Resource temporarily unavailable

    Hi All,
I'm running a job in tidal for couple of weeks now but suddenly I encountered an error "Launcher Error: Setuid error: Resource temporarily unavailable"
What does this mean?  I'm using RHEL server release 6.3 Beta.
    Thanks,
    Melody

You need to check your ulimits (ulimit -a) for the user launching the job and also the tidal agent user (tidal). The 'nofile' and 'nproc' for user cannot be higher than the tidal agent user (tidal). To fix it, you can alter the ulimit file (/etc/security/limits.conf) for 'tidal' (if that is the user your agent is running as) so that it is equal to or greater than the job user.

  • DSM launch error

Every time I start my MAC Book Pro, I am getting a DSM launch error, What is going on?

There is no adl listed in my list of active processes in Activity Monitor. I have tried rebooting my machine, restarting all my software and projects and cleaning my projects. No luck yet.
If I just switch to flash and run the fla directly it works fine so it must be Flex specific.
Cheers for the suggestionsso far . Keep em coming if you have them
