JOB ORDER TOOL.....

well guyz.. i am working on developing a job order tool....using forms 10g
I have 2 doubts ..it would be great if you people could help me out...
1.As soon as i open the form I want the last record in the job order database to be displayed
2.When I click new record button I want an automatically generated job order id no to be inserted into the text item job order.( i know how to generate the number...but how to make it appear in the job order text item as soon as i click new record)

ORDER_ID DESC
2.When I click new record button I want an automatically generated job order id no to be inserted into the text item job order.( i know how to generate the number...but how to make it appear in the job order text item as soon as i click new record)Create one new trigger on block level called WHEN-CREATE-RECORD and as you said that u know how to generate the new number then just keep that code in this trigger will generate the new number when you will press create record.

Please note the steps
Create a BOM Application in OS30
Create a new BOM ID in OS31 with BOM Usage as Production
Assign this BOM ID in BOM Application
Ensure that ID is responsible for Production planning alone.
Then in that ID maintain a BOM alone without any items.
Assign this BOM Application in Order type dependent parameters in OPL8
Now u can create a production order w/o BOM

Where is the TouchUp Reading Order Tool in Adobe Acrobat X

Hi,
Our company just switched to Adobe Acrobat X and I'm having issues with some of the tools. In the old adobe acrobat I was able to use the TouchUp Reading Order Tool; does that tool still exist in X? I've tried the Edit Object tool but it's not working for me. I've tried holding down shift and the Edit Object tool but that doesn't seem to work also.
Please help if you can.

In the Tools section on the right in Acrobat X, not all the possible tools are displayed. From the flyout menu at the upper right select the Accessibility section and you'll find it there.

Warning when closing Job Order

Hi,
"Making the out product" does this mean you want to know what are the Outside Processing Involved jobs?? If so you can run the "WIP Outside Processing Report" to see the jobs at supplier for OSP.
If you meant something else please elaborate.

Parent Job Order & Childs

Dear All
I have a Bill ot Material for an Item containing 6 Levels including many Phantoms ,Raw Materials and Subassemblies
I would like to create a Job order for the Parent Item only and child Job orders created automatically for all Subassmbly Items including at the BOM
Is it possible and if it's ,how ?

I have also seek in Metalink and I have found one thread in which the solution was the following:
"Hi,
You need to have a few setups in place for this.
In BOM Parameters form for that Inv Org :
Pls. set Create Lower Level Supply to Auto Created Configuration Items and ATO Items. In this case if you second level Item in BOM is an ATO Item it will create WIP Job.
Also ensure that this is a make Item.
If your second level item is not ATO Item this will not create WIP Job now. This will create WIP for 2nd level only if you run MRP/ASCP.

TouchUp Reading Order Tool - invisible Text

Last time I used the TouchUp Reading Order tool (in order to mark out columns of text to copy into a spreadsheet) in November, it worked with no problems. However, when I do this using Acrobat 9.3.0 the text below the first line disappears once I select the content type. The text is still there and I can select it, but it is not visible, even if the page structure is cleared.
Can anyone else reproduce this or am I doing something odd?

As to establishing a proper "order" - you want to be working out of the Tags panel.
Reliance on TORU to establish a proper tag tree having proper PDF tag semantics can often leave one with a really gobbered PDF.

Using Substitute Items at Job Order Level

dear gurus,
i have client requirement that is:
Semi-Finish Product : A Produce by XYZ CO.,
Packaging Material : B Procured from ABC CO.,
Same Packaging Material is Procure by : B1(as per inventory) Procure from MNO CO.,
now at BOM Level
finish Product : Z consist of
A Qty: Each 1
B Qty: Each 1
B1 Qty: Each 1 (substitute of B)
now i want whenever the Job Order is made of Item A then system should ask which item of B to be used. i know substitute item executes when primary item is zero then substitute item is used now i need to use it in different manner system should ask which item to be used.
is it possible or not...

You are talking about customization here.
I dont think Oracle provides this as out of box functionality if you define B1 as substitute of B.
Oracle Master Scheduling/MRP reports these substitutes on some planning reports, such as the MRP Detail Report. Oracle Work in Process
does not consider substitute items in its pick lists. Planning bills and model, option class, and planning components cannot have substitute components.

OSP Resource is defaulted to the operation in Job Order

The OSP resource is not attached to any of the operation in my routing for an assembly.But When i create a discrete Job Order for that assembly,OSP resource is attached automatically for one of the operation in the Job Order.
Can someone explain me how this is happening?.From where this OSP resouce is getting attached or derfaulted.

Like Sandeep mentioned it cannot have an OSP resource unless
1) Routing is referenced with another assembly which has OSP
2) Has a an alternate routing which has OSP and is used in Job creation
3) Manually adding OSP resource to a the specific job
If none of these are true please check for customizations done.

TouchUp Reading Order Tool Misbehaving

I'm having problems with the TouchUp Reading order tool. When I move a field to a new (correct) place, it arbitrarily moves it to another place entirely and usually throws the entire list out of order. What can I do to prevent this?

Does anyone know where I could find the trans table for JOA? I can't even identify what is the data type of it.

Hi,
The sub-contracting process is not mapped with Standard SAP B1. For this, you will need to purchase or develop the Add-on.
But there is one workaround -
You can show it in B1 as in-house production at vendor location & pass Service bill.

Improve Reading Order Tool

Looking forward to seeing improvements in the accessibility tools for Acrobat.
Allow customization of this tool so that you can add custom Tag. Alternatiely, add the List Label and LBody tags to the ROT. I manually Tag Lists more than anything else. You can always rename Tags in the Tags Panel, but building a List structure is cumbersome unless you use the ROT. And it's still not that great when you have to rename the tags!
In Table Edit mode -- Make it possible to select more than one cell when Associating IDs with Table Cells, and make it possible to add/replace ID association/attributes or add without replacing existing ID association attributes. (i.e., Add or Append).
