JSF 2.0 beta2 - JavaScript not execute in ajaxreponse + Parameters: Invali

I'm testing JSF2.0 beta2.
I found the following problems:
1) The JavaScript is not executed in the ajaxresponse.
I solved it by adding the following JavaScript code to my xhtml file:

2de problem:
When I add extra params to the jsf.ajax.request function i got a warning in my tomcat6 console:jsf.ajax.request(document.getElementById("f:surname"), null,{execute:'@this',render:'@this',frmAjaxSuggestExecuteAjax:'true'});
Warning:

I only has this warning on adding extra params.
I know this error from the past.
Then it was caused by using wrong syntax for the request parameters. example:
http://myhost/mypage&paramA=1&paramB=2 (note there is no ?)
http://myhost/mypage?paramA&paramB=2 (note there is value for paramA)

It's more a question than a problem.
The following javascript is added to my xhtml code:

I don't have any idea how this javascript cames into my sourcecode.
I did not add it as resouce to my component@ResourceDependencies({

I'm not sure if this is the right place for that question - sorry if it belongs somewhere else.
I've got the problem that newer IE versions like IE 10 or 11 won't execute JavaScript in my SharePoint application pages and after some research I found out, that for some reason the browser doesn't get recognized properly in combination with the .NET Framework,
what causes it to be running in an old mode where JavaScript etc isn't even activated or something like that.
I also found out, that there already are hotfixes for this problem and tried to download the hotfix KB 2600088, but the link I get from Microsoft via mail always leads to "The
resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable."
After that I found out, that KB 2600088 is included in another update KB 2600217 but this ALSO sends me to a page not found error....
Is there any possibility to get one of these hotfixes or is there maybe another solution for this problem?
If I set the document mode of the browser to IE 9 it works, but this is no acceptable solution.

Developing site to use external javascript files for server access. my ain.js file just displays and does not execute. Why?

My ain.js file is meant to work on and access server files for tracking all visitors to the site I am developing.
One way to access it, in my plan, is to use index.htm. when I open index.htm it displays correctly and presents a link to ain.js with a query line (?a=zzzzz--e2).
The entire file is displayed; but not executed.
Short of building my own server (prior to publishing what I am developing) how do you propose I test what I have written?
As a retiree, I have limited funds (the purpose of developing a website is meant to coorect that).

Javascript not working in Adobe Reader

Hi,
I have given the following javascript code in the "Will Save" Document Action. But this code does not execute in Adobe Reader, it works fine in Acrobat Standard/Pro. Why this code does not execute in Reader?

Yes the javascript is enabled.
The alert comes up in Acrobat Pro when I use the 'Save' or 'Save a Copy option'. When I use the 'Save a Copy' option in Adobe reader, the alert does not come up.

Interactive report jquery not executed on pagination

recently i fell into another problem when using jquery in an interactive report.
in the page header i do this

QBE style(Find-Execute) Query not executing when VO has bind parameter

I have an Entity Based ViewObject that is composed of 3 Entities so the entities are related through an Assoc. Then the ViewObject also has a bind paremeter defined and used in the WHERE clause.
In my page everything is fine until when I use/click on the Find operation on the JSF page. When the Find operation is executed the page/form goes blank so I can enter by QBE query. Now when I Execute my search by executing the ExecuteWith params operation. Nothing is happening to the screen, it seems that query was not executed. Although there was no errors or exceptions displayed.
However if I remove the bind parameter, and execute the Execute operation instead after going to Find mode, the query is executed properly and I get expected results.
My problem is a bit general, but are there anyone who had a similar problem like this? Im still in the process of creating a test case.

But the "ExecuteWithParams" operation provides the bind variable right? (i had the value hardcoded on the pagedef). So it must have supplied a value. I also noticed that this is happening only when if the VIewObject contains two or more Entities. If the Viewobject has only 1 entity, the ViewObject queries properly.
Anyway Frank, I had found a fix for this. I set an InvokeAction on the pagedef that binds to the ExecuteWithParams that is invoked during page load only(!postback condition). and then I just use the Find-Execute operations instead of the Find-ExecuteWithParams operations that I used previously.
I will try to replicate the issue again to investigate what's really going on. I just want to know if its a bug or just an expected behavior or i just made a mistake.

Javascript not working when JSP container changed. Why?

I'm migrating from Resin (if you happen to know what it is) to Tomcat.
My web app runs fine on Tomcat, without any change in the code. What surprises me is that, javascript, which works perfectly fine while the webapp runs on Resin, seems to have problems when the webapps runs on Tomcat.
This does not seem to make sense to me: javascript is executed on the client (browser) and should have nothing to do with the JSP container.
Can someone tell me why, and how to fix this? Thanks!

see if your browser supports something like a javascript console or debugger.
e.g.:
- MS InternetExplorer shows a warning icon in the left bottom corner if there is a javascript error. doubleclicking on it shows the error type and the location (url, line, char) where the error occured.
- Mozilla supports a javascript console which shows up javascript errors or warnings.
have a look at what the browser says on your errors.
if your javascripts are hardcoded it HAS TO BE a browser (misinterpretation) or javascript error. serverside has definitively nothing to do with javascript...

The fields available in the Structure "MEREQ_ITEM_S_CUST_ALLOWED" (PReq Fields That Can Be Modified via User Exit) will be available for change in the method SET_DATA.
See the Method IF_PURCHASE_REQUISITION_ITEM~SET_DATA in include program LMEREQF10 (Line number 62). You may have to APPEND the custom field in the strcuture mentioned above.
Also ensure that the method SET_DATAX is also called after method SET_DATA in the BADI.

Regular expression does not execute runtime

Hello adobe collegue's,
I am currently stumbling on a strange issue regarding javascript embedded to compress a string:

Somehow this code does execute perfectly while previewing in adobe designer 9.0.0.2 but runtime all javascript does execute except for the part mentioned above.
I know this part is executed because in the result i see the string "YESS" added to the response of this function.
Somehow the pattern is not compiled, or executed runtime...
I also tried more simple regular expressions but none of them actually worked.
For the templates the option client is set where to execute the javascript, although while testing the options to solve the issue is also tried settings both and server. None provided the solution.
Can someone provide any help...it's appreciated!

Go to SXMB_MONI_BPE->and check the workflow log (technical details).and go to SXI_CACHE and check the return code of the Integration Process. It should be zero. If not try to activate the same
If there is no error then go with like this-
Also check the Syntax in Integration Repository with F7. Change the IP and activate it. If there is no syntax errors.
Then reimport the IP into Directory and then test your scenario

MS Office Report (Report Generation toolkit) is not executable, Xnode broken?

Hi, I am trying to generate an excel report, and I figured it would be easier to use the MS Office report VI, but I am getting the broken arrow saying the SubVI is not executable and that the library that defines the xnode is broken... here is a screensot attached, I already uninstall and reinstall the report generation toolkit and still the same... this is what I found on NI: "This error occurs when the library that defines the XNode you used is broken. To correct this error, reconfigure the XNode." but no idea how to reconfigure xnode

What version of LabVIEW are you using?
What is the nature of your Report? What should it look like? What kind of data should it contain?
Can you show us some code that you've tried to use? If so, include the code as either a Snippet or as a VI attachment (so we can plug it into our own LabVIEW installations and experiment with it).
I generally find that the Report Generation Toolkit is a very easy way to generate Excel Workbooks. I work primarily with LabVIEW 2012 and LabVIEW 2014.

I recieve the following error when running an executable ("This VI is not Executable. The full development version of Labview is required to fix the errors"

I recieve the following error when trying to build and run a labview executable. I am able to build the executable but when trying to run the executable, a pop up window comes up asking the user to select a dll. (please see screen shot attached). Once the DLL is selected, I get the error that This VI is not Executable. The full development version of Labview is required to fix the errors. (please see screen shot attached). I have also attached a snapshot of the project window.
I have the professional development system
I can run the main VI
all the required DLL's are in the dependencies section of the project window.
I am trying to find the root cause of this error but to no avail. can anyone give me a clue to what i am missing here. Any suggestions on where i should look to find the problem ?

I get a "vi is not executable" error when building an application.

I have an ongoing project that has worked fine in the past when building an application. I have recently added some report generation toolkit vis(Excel) and get an error for some of the ni vis and some of my own that call lower level excel vis. The error is that he vi is not executable, however they run fine in the development environment. I do not get this error if I save all vi's into one llb with save with options command and then build. However, when I try to run the app, this error re-appears. Also, do I have to add the dynamically loaded vi's that are part of the toolkit in my build script? Could this be the cause of the problem? If so, what's the best way to find all of them? Any suggestions?

You have hit in on the nail! You do need to add the dynamically loaded VIs when you are creating an executable from your VI. You need to add _wordsub.lib and _exclsub.lib as dynamically loaded VIs into your executable. Try this and let us know if you have any more problems with it.

For Loop Will Not Execute

I have been a software engineer for a number of years now, and thus far I have never come across any coding issues that truly merit a post such as this. Someone has almost always run across the issue before, so there is no need to reinvent the wheel, or solution as it were.
However, a number of times I have run across instances where the JRE simply... does not execute parts of my code, and throws no exceptions.
The sample code is a simple logging application, watered down to the bare minimum for the purposes of this forum:

Ok, easy visual, this is the "log/" directory as I run the Log.java application repeatedly and iterate the date on my computer as I do so.

This is the point at which I go ???
Turns out, the JRE skips the execution of my for loop in the *reconcile()* method when the date rolls over to Monday, and from then on it simply deletes the previous day's log instead of the oldest log.
Why? Who knows.
Things I have tried:
- Using another variable integer for the *readOnly()* method
- Removing the synchronized keyword from the *log(String param)* method
- Second call to *directory.listFiles(filter)* and setting *SIZE* to *3* after the old files have been set to read-only
- Removing the call to *readOnly()*
- Verified that the call to *readOnly()* does not alter the +modified+ date on the log files
- Changed Logger.java from a +static+ class to a +local+ class
Things I cannot do:
This log application stores privy information about end-users at locations across the country in the event that there are support issues that need to be resolved, and the agreement is that we store this information no more than three days. Just wanted to make sure, that the hopefully informed respondants to this issue, know that the obvious solution (storing seven day records), is unfortunately not available to me.

Yes, seems like Java sorts the files in such a way that everything works fine without the loop until Monday rolls over.
Now I can have a better appreciation for that second set of eyes.
I use for loops so frequently that I never look at them (though I did stare at this one myself prior to this post, much to my chagrin now) but the subtracting iteration (which I use once in a blue moon) was necessary for the nature of the code.
But ok, up and running! (whew) was going to be a long day until now.
To answer your question though, the Logger is static so I don't have to pass it around to dozens and dozens of other modules but rather just include the package on the fly as I develop new modules that need to log information, and I like to write most mundane things myself if I can, that way I have the freedom to modify them at will.
Thanks again! I'm now a happy camper once more.
I'm also thankful that I don't have to chalk up another notch on the wall of cases where the JRE behaves magically and truly ignores code which I have definitely run into before. Something about listCellRenderers and the order of calls made to them, or some such and JRE doesn't read one of the lines. It's been a year or two.
