[JSP] I want execute a script only on click image

Hello.Is it possible to execute a script JSP, only if I click on a image.
Particulary i want to fill a field in a form only if I click on an image in the same page .jsp. In this field I should insert a name that I can recover like request.getParameter("name"); only if I click on image!!
Thanks in advance to anyone for any insight.

mmm. I can set a javaScript variable using JSP. How can I do?
I have this scenario in my web site. Page 1 have a form where I can insert an username. On submit Page2.jsp has the script jsp at issue(String usr=request.getParameter("username")). In the same page there is the field to fill with above mentioned username when I click on image.
So i could use usr to set a javaScript variable and onclick image I can set the field using JavaScript.
If it is possible, there is another problem:
All other people that access the page have to see the username of each other in the field(I need only two username).Using javaScript is not possible because JavaScript is client side.
Is it right? (Sorry if I am boring)

  • I want a preview for only the pick image

    I sync my photos with an iPod. As such I only want to sync the images that are picks. I edit virtually every single image in my library, so as it is if I have automatic generation of previews turned on, all the images including non-pick ones in each stack will have a preview. This causes 2 or more versions of the same image to be put onto the iPod not just the best one.
    For the past few months I have had automatic generation of previews turned off, and I generate them by hand after I finish editing a batch. This is a little time consuming and I often either forget to generate the previews or somehow I manage to generate previews for all images in a stack. Aperture doesn't help because it doesn't show which images have previews and which don't.
    Rather than manually going through each stack and seeing which images have previews, I'd like to automate the process somewhat to make sure that only the picks have previews. Is there an easy way to do this?
    I've thought about selecting all, then opening all stacks, then inverting the selection, and deleting previews from those selections. Then inverting the selection again and updating the previews. I'm not sure if this would work and I'm a bit scared to do this on a large library (opening all stacks in a selection of 10000 stacks could take a few days?)
    I wish Aperture had better handling of previews in this regard.

    Problem with creating a smart album is that all images would show up in that one album on the iPod and I want them somewhat separated, even though no hierarchy of folders on the ipod makes that a bit of a paint too.
    I am currently trying the select/invert method. I'm doing it one album at a time so it's more manageable. At the same time I'm able to make sure I have the correct image as my pick, and also forces me to reexamine what photos I have in my albums and delete any stuff that isn't worthy It's working pretty well, though it is time consuming. Once I'm done I'll have to be careful to make sure only the picks get a preview.

  • Upgraded ROX filer not executing shell scripts

    Hi all,
    I run ICEWM+ROX filer as my lite desktop but after a recent upgrade, ROX does not execute shell scripts on mouse click. It appears that filetype detection has changed so that all scripts are shown with the shellscript icon, whereas before those without a .sh extension where shown with the kde type "cogwheel".
    Any tips much appreciated.
    My thanks in advance!

    I've found a lot of things I don't like about the latest ROX upgrade... too much caching nowadays in my  opinion.

  • Executing Java script while dragging a component

    Hi,
    Is there a way to execute Java script while dragging a component, I have noticed only following events mouseMove, mouseOut, mouseDown mouseUp for clientListener tag. could not find anything related to dragging event.
    My scenario is, I have componentDragSource to a component and I want fire a java script event on drag of that component.
    Please suggest. TIA.
    Thanks,

    Hi Frank,
    Thanks for your response.
    Could you please give me some sample on that like what type of event and on which component I have to set clientListener.
    Thanks,

  • How to setup Time to execute eCATT scripts automatically from TestPlan

    Hello All,
    Iam working on eCATT using SAPGUI 640.All my scripts are SAPGUI recording.I have bunch of scripts.i have created a Testpackage and a TestPlan and moved all my scripts into that TestPlan.
    Now,I want all the scripts to get executed from TestPlan in the late evening or on weekends automatically without any manual interaction.
    Do we have any solution for the above issue.
    I would appreciate all your comments.
    Thanks,
    Sarapu

    Thank you for your comment and suggestion. I will give your suggestion a try. However, it seems the question is still open:
    If a user wants to write a program/script that does an scp/rsync that transfers a file from one host to another (assuming the .ssh keys are properly set up), and put it into a launchd process that executes like it would under a cron (i.e., they do not need to be logged in, and it persists after a reboot), how is this accomplished without using the root-level /Library/LaunchDaemon?
    Am I miss-informed that a users LaunchAgents are executed only when the user logs in?
    At least in the scientific arena, using a cron to transfer files is a very regular practice. It would be a major headache if the system administrator had to manually add each users launchd files to /Library/LaunchDaemon

  • ICal doesn't execute Automator Scripts

    Since I upgraded to Leopard my iCal doesn't execute scripts anymore. Normaly every day iCal executed a script to check for birthdays and send them a e-mail. Now I can't get this to work. No settings are changed as far I can see.
    Help!!! (I missed already a few birthdays... people hate me... ;-))

    Does it display any kind of error message? It may be that the location of the script has changed. It seems that iCal saves fixed paths to scripts and not aliases. This means that if the path to a script changes it won't run. Try to rename a script and then select it again in the event. You'll want to rename so that you can distinguish it from the previous script entry. iCal only displays the name of the script, not the path used by the alarm.

  • Difference between execute as statement and execute as script in Toad

    I want to know difference between execute as statement and execute as script in Toad ..while i am running a query execute as statement is taking about 3 seconds and if i run with execute as a script its taking long time..Which one i need to consider.Firstly, this is not a TOAD forum. TOAD is a 3rd party tool developed by Quest Software, so really your question does not belong here.
    However...
    When you execute a query as a statement then toad itself opens the cursor against the database and issues the statement, fetching the rows as they are needed to display in it's interface. You say it takes only about 3 second to run, but the chances are that you haven't scrolled the result window down to the last record, for which I'm sure you'd find it takes a little longer.
    When you execute a query as a script, TOAD passes the query out to be run in SQL*Plus rather than from within TOAD itself. With SQL*Plus, it runs the whole statement fetching all the rows before returning control, the same as if you had scrolled to the end of the result set in TOAD.
    In reality there should be no difference in the time it takes to execute the statements to completion in either environment.

  • Executing .sql scripts file from command prompt

    I had created the .sql scripts for
    --Create Database
    --Create tables
    --Create Stored procedure
    I am using SQL server 2008.
    Now i want to deploy it into the target server using the command prompt.
    How can I call to execute that script on the target server?

    with few errors as "Incorrect Syntax near "GO"".
    Hello,
    GO is a command, which is only known & interpretted by SSMS + SqlCmd.exe; SQL Server engine / data access components don't know this command, therefore you get an error.
    See
    Query Options Execution (General Page); for SSMS you can change it from GO to any other term.

  • Afraid of executing a script on server

    I have to make a script which deletes all the folders and files in the following directories on Windows Server 2008:
    D:\frotxy\out\backup\
    D:\frotxy\in\backup\
    Yesterday I tried executing the script from my Desktop to delete the files in a test folder but unfortunately I had mistaken the path to this folder. What happened was my Desktop files were deleted - ARGHH!
    So my question is is there a safer way to do the script and check it before executing it on the server as it is important not to delete some other directory or file from the server :)
    This is the script:
    set folder="D:\frotxy\out\backup"
    cd /d %folder%
    for /F "delims=" %%i in ('dir /b') do (rmdir "%%i" /s/q || del "%%i" /s/q)
    set folder="D:\frotxy\in\backup"
    cd /d %folder%
    for /F "delims=" %%i in ('dir /b') do (rmdir "%%i" /s/q || del "%%i" /s/q)
    And where should I place the file containing the script?
    I am not into scripts at all so please help!

    If the folder doesn't exist, you have no error checking there to handle the failure of the cd command, and you continue on with the "delete everything" part.  You can either check for the existence of the folder first, check for an error after
    the CD command, or not use relative paths at all and just pass folder in to the dir command (which would be my preference.)  Here's my example (note the quotation marks have been removed from the set folder line; they're hard-coded later on):
    set folder=D:\frotxy\in\backup
    for /F "delims=" %%i in ('dir /b "%folder%\*"') do (rmdir "%folder%\%%i" /s/q || del "%folder%\%%i" /s/q)
    Note:  I'm not sure what's going on with that (rmdir || del) bit.  To my knowledge, there's no "||" operator in batch files, and "|" doesn't make any sense here, but I've left the original code alone and only changed the bits related
    to where things will be deleted, not how they are deleted.
    Edit:  On a side note, this would be much safer and easier in PowerShell, which is Microsoft's current command-line interface and scripting language.  For example:
    $folder = 'D:\frotxy\in\backup'
    Get-ChildItem -Path "$folder\*" -Recurse -Force | Remove-Item -Force -WhatIf
    That -WhatIf switch on the end of the Remove-Item command is a common parameter in PowerShell.  It shows you what the command would have done, allowing you to make sure you like the results first.  Then you run it again without -WhatIf, and it deletes
    things for you.

  • I created a form with Single Choice fields, 4 days with times listed. But, I want the user to only be able to choose one time, and the time chosen to be unavailable for other users. How do I do this?

    I created a form with Single Choice fields, 4 days with times listed. But, I want the user to only be able to choose one time, and the time chosen to be unavailable for other users. How do I do this? I have 4 blocks of Single Choice fields in order for the summary page to give me each day in the final report. But, I need the user to be able to make a selection of any day and time and that apointment to no longer be available to future users when they log in. Plus, when the user clicks on the time, they are unable to change their mind and choose another time. Here's the link if you want to see what I'm talking about: 2015-2016 Workload Apportionment Review

    I'm afraid not.    It's not rocket science but you need to do some coding.
    You'll need to find a script (php) and save it to your local site folder.  Then reference the script in your form's action attribute like so.
         <form action="path/form-to-email-script.php" >
    The input fields in your HTML form need to exactly match the script variables.
    I'm  assuming you're hosted on a Linux server which uses PHP code.  Linux servers are also case sensitive, so upper case names are not the same as lower case names.  It's usually best to use all lower case names in your form and script to avoid confusion.

  • How to execute vb script with out using Remote manager in oim 11g r2

    Hi Currently,
    i have a requirement to execute  vb script (present on a remote machine in which connector server is installed) from oim machine while using Exchange connector (11.1.1.6).
    This can be achieved by using remote manager,but i dont want to use remote manager.
    Hence decided to use Action scripts.
    As per connector configuration,
    i have configured Action scripts in Lookup.Exchange.UM.Configuration lookup definition, by means of three entries
    After Create Action Language      Shell
    After Create Action Target           Resource
    After Create Action File              /home/scripts/Disable.bat
    Disable.bat has the following ,
    Powershell.exe -File C:\scripts\Setup.vbs
    -%Log on Name%
      Exit
    As Setup.vbs is expecting a parameter of log on name, i was providing the same.
    But while creating the user,as this script gets called, getting the following error and hence 'create User' is getting failed.
    Problem while PowerShell execution System.Management.Automation.RemoteException: This task does not support recipients of this type. The specified recipient XXXXXXXXXXX...XXXXX is of type UserMailbox. Please make sure that this recipient matches the required recipient type for this task.
    While provisioning the user to Exchange , i have selected 'Recepient type' as 'User Mail box' explicitly, but still getting the error.
    Please provide any pointers to resolve the issue.
    Thanks in advance
    Kumar

    As far as I know Oracle and MySQL are two different products.
    Why do you clutter an Oracle forum with MySQL questions?
    If MySQL is such a tremendous RDBMS, like many people state (as 'free' means per definition better),
    why don't you visit a MySQL forum where fellow MySQL aficionados can answer you MySQL questions?
    In short, why don't you stop abusing Oracle forums?

  • How can I execute a script before connection?.

    Hi ,
    I want to execute a script before retrieving the data.How can I do this?.
    Thanks...

    When you say create a command line, what exactly are you referring to? I assume you have a logical schema mapped to the ebs instance you want to run the fnd_global function in (the same one you will have reverse engineered the models from etc), just set that as the schema on the step parameters and ODI will connect through for you as a SQL session.
    Technology set to Oracle ?
    What does the error actually say in the operator log?
    ETA : might be worth checking a few of these links as the refer to EBS with ODI : Oracle EBS and ODI
    Some of the pre-shipped KM's must do something similar to what you are trying to achieve for the apps security.

  • Some tags are not showing in SQL when executing the script as per Date

    A) When i am executing below script
    Select ToP 10000 [T_idx],[T_Tag], [T_date], [T_counter] from dbo.[total] ORDER BY T_DATE desc
    i am able to see all tags with respect to date except some tags prefix with ----PO, this 'PO' tags also present in the same table, with same time and date like other tags
    B) When executing below script
    Select top 10000 * FROM dbo.[total] where T_Tag like '%PO%' ORDER BY T_DATE DESC
    i am able to see all tags related to  PO
    How i can all tags including 'PO' with one script. can any one help me ??
    acmi

    Venkat,
    Select ToP 10000 [T_idx],[T_Tag], [T_date], [T_counter] from dbo.[total] ORDER BY T_DATE desc
    The above query MAY or MAY NOT give the records with taag ---PO as they might belong to a later data which might not fit into the top 10,000 dates of the table. This shud be the problem.
    If you want to see all the data irrespective of the number of rows, then below shud help:
    Select
    [T_idx],[T_Tag], [T_date], [T_counter]
    from dbo.[total]
    ORDER BY T_DATE desc
    If you need the rows that CONTAIN --PO then folowing shud do it:
    SELECT
    [T_idx],[T_Tag], [T_date], [T_counter]
    FROM dbo.[total]
    WHERE T_Tag like '%PO%'
    ORDER BY T_DATE desc
    If you need just the top 10,000 rows of the above result, then just add a TOP clause as below:
    SELECT
    TOP 10000
    [T_idx],[T_Tag], [T_date], [T_counter]
    FROM dbo.[total]
    WHERE T_Tag like '%PO%'
    ORDER BY T_DATE desc
    Thanks,
    Jay

  • Limit users to execute "SELECT" statemes only from SQL Developer

    Hi:
    Is there a way to control what SQL command can be executed from SQL Developer?
    I am trying to limit users to execute "SELECT" statements only from SQL Developer.
    I believe SQL*Plus used to have the product profile where I can control what SQL command can be executed from what user.
    Thanks in advance.

    There's nothing special in sqldev to enforce privileges, the database does all that already. See the database documentation on the GRANT and REVOKE statements. Basically, you would only want to grant SELECT privileges to your users...

  • Problem executing Unix script from Java...

    Hi there, I'm having trouble executing a unix script from a java program. The script receives multiple parameters and it seems that one of them ( or more ) is not well interpreted. When I run the script directly from a shell, the script executes without any errors. But, when I run the exact same script with the exact same parameters, it does not work.
    Here is the command to execute the script with all the parameters that is executed from the shell ( with success ) and also from the java program ( with errors ):
    /z/opus/dcap/intfu001.csh 'NODEBUG^NOTKPROF^NOSTACK' opus dcap JACQUES JACQUES '2625781' 'ORA$PIPE$001D00D70001' JOB^DEBUG^SINISIMU^STATPROD^DECTIDANC^81^503^4080^86^87^151^97^98^99 BUT^N^N^SPRI^0^13^24^3^J^05^N^19^19^19 >> /tmp/switcher8.999.null.pgm.test
    And here is my portion of code that executes the script:
    Runtime wShell = Runtime.getRuntime();
    Process wProc = wShell.exec(cmd_unix_final);
    wProc.waitFor();
    return wProc.exitValue();
    Please give me your thoughts on this!
    Thanks in advance!

    Ok.
    Let's proceed surgically, else we'll never solve or overcome anything.
    In the last your reply you wrote:
    the normal output is what I get when the script runs successfully, the script first prints a few things
    and then does stuff that takes at least 2 or 3 secondsWhat do you mean?
    -Finally have you got your script correctly executed?
    The stuffs you spoke of are really performed?
    If this is the case I can't see the prob.
    Is your concern only about exitValue() for it doesn't let you distinguish programmatically
    the success or failure of the script execution?
    Of course you surely already have a routine in your java code to handle
    exceptional situations of errors from the script.
    And the "normal output" is just what you must parse to detect those errors.
    Then who cares about exitValue() in this case?
    Don't invoke it, relay on the stdout and stderr of the script.
    -Or you get only a deceiving standard output
    that let you think the script execution went alright, while instead it didn't.
    In this case we have to investigate some other thing.
    I can't still exclude that the problem isn't related with the buffer size of the stdout
    allocated by the environment to the subprocess. You spoke of few things printed out.
    Be explicit. What's the size of the output you get?
    And is the "normal output" complete till the very last char
    or is it truncated from somewhere on?
    Also it's important that you hit a ps command after the java main process terminates
    (or simply when waitFor() returns) and see if the script subprocess hung up.
    As an alternative approach directly call your pro*C code from Java through JNI, instead of translating it.
    1. Exec.java
    public class Exec{
         static{
              System.loadLibrary("Exec");
         public static native void proCFunct();
         public static void main( String[] args){
              proCFunct();
    }2. javac Exec.java
    3. javah Exec
    4.Exec.c
    #include "Exec.h"
    JNIEXPORT void JNICALL Java_Exec_proCFunct(JNIEnv * a, jclass b){
         //here call the function that executes the script
    5. cc -G -I$JAVA_HOME/include -I$JAVA_HOME/include/solaris -I$YOUR_INCLUDES Exec.c -o libExec.so
    6. setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH .
