JSP load file

Question

Hi,
Can anyone help me with this: i have JSP file that using "JFileChooser" to load a file, but the problem is the fact that dialog box shows up in the server machine instead of the client's Machine. Here is the code: Thank you in advance

Of course it does. If you have any understanding whatsoever of how web servers and web browsers work you would realize quite quickly why this is the case.
The JSP page generates HTML. The browser makes a request to the JSP page, and takes the HTML that it generates and displays it. At what point do you think there's an Java running on the client side to display a file chooser or any other swing component?
If you want to allow the user to upload a file to the server, you have the following choices:
1) HTTP file upload: you have a HTML form with a file input field and you use some multipart form processor on the server. Look up UploadBean or Jakarta Commons File Upload.
2) Signed applet: a signed applet in the page could use JFileChooser and post a mutlipart form file upload to the server like in #1.
3) Maybe Flash can do the same as #2.
If you want to prompt the user to save a file, then search around here for "Content-Disposition" and you'll find plenty of info.
