.jsp pages not found in IIS

I receive an HTTP 404 file not found error when I try to
access an .jsp file through IIS.
When I access the file directly through Jrun server
everything works fine. Regular servlets, or html files that are
served out of a .war also archive work fine when accessed through
IIS. CFM files also work. The problem is .jsp specific.
- .jsp mapping is defined correctly in IIS
- application settings are set to scripts and executable
files
- security settings in JVM connection files (jrun.ini etc)
are set to everyone
- the problem occurs both for jsp files in the web root and
jsp files in war files
I don't have a clue why this is happening. Any help would be
very much appreciated.
I have the following setup:
Jrun 4 Updater 6
ColdFusion 7
Windows 2000 Service Pack 4
IIS

I found the error: the file extension .jsp was blocked in IIS
through a 3rd party control .... :-)
Everything works fine now
Best,

  • Cluster, "Page Not Found"

We have a problem with our web application.
On a non-clustered environment, the application works perfectly fine.
However, in a clustered environment, some functionality seems to be missing. We are able to log in go into our "queue" page. However, from there, if we click on a task within the work queue, we get a "Page Not Found" error. Instead of taking us to a details screen, it appears it doesn't even access the next IP component to bring itself to the subsequent JSP.
I know that the details screen is there bcause if we try to access with another URL, we can find it.
We are using WL Platform 7.0 with Portal 7.0. IIS on the front end. Please let me know if you have any ideas....

  • Login 404 Page not found error

I am having problems with my login mechanism.
I have form based authentication configured in my Web.xml. I have implemented the login mechanism from the SRDemo Example therefore I have a index.jsp which does a redirect to my first jspx page and a login.jsp which contains a form with username and password input types and a button which submits the form to the action="j_security_check".
When a user accesses the application, the index.jsp is called which does a redirect to the first page in my application "Customers.jspx". When the authentication fails, then the login page is displayed, and I think the redirect URL (Customers.jspx) is placed into the session by the framework for later use i.e. until the user authenticates. Once authenticated, the user is directed to the Customers.jspx.
The login pages works fine except for the following condition. When I sit at the login page until the session timeout occurs, then when I try to log-in, I get a 404 error "Page not found". I am guessing that the forward URL to my customers page is lost when the session times-out.
A lot of guessing but is any of this true. Can anyone shed some light on this one and suggest where I am going wrong or if there is a fix to the problem.
    Many thanks,
    Michael.

    Hi,
correct. The server keeps track of the redirect page and if the session is lost, this information is lost too

  • Page not found error when  navigating in Iview  application

    Hi,
I have developed an application, and I am able to view a sucessfull preview of the Page as well. There are htmlb links on the page. When clicked, they navigate to the next jsp page. This iview was assigned to a user, and the portal was logged in though a local ip address. The application works fine.
In trying to access the portal though an external Url,the initial page comes up perfectly fine. However the next page, does not come up,when a link on the first page is clicked.I get initially a popup with the message:
"This page contains both Secure and Non secure Items
.Do you want to display the non secure Items."
The options on the Popup were yes,no,More Info.
When I clicked yes then I get the display page not found error. The error is:
" <b>The page cannot be found
The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.</b> "
The Information I get when I click on More Info is-
<b>Downloading non-secure content from a secure Web site
The Web site you are viewing is a secure site. It uses a security protocol such as SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) or PCT (Private Communications Technology) to secure the information you send and receive.
When sites use a security protocol, information that you provide, such as your name or credit-card number, is encrypted so that other people can’t read it. However, this Web page also contains items that do not use this secure protocol.
Given what you know about this Web site and your computer, you must decide whether to continue working with this site.
If you do not feel confident about working with this site, click No.</b> "
This problem occurs only to a particular user.If I add the role to another user, and view the iview I am able to navigate without problem(there is no popup as well).Even for this User,it is happening only when,I access through extrenal url,not when I access the portal through the local IP Address.
    Regards,
    Harish

    Hi,
This is a further Update. The problem described above has  something to do with the roles. When some roles(cusom) are assigned the navigation occurs. Can you please let me know if there is any role related configuration with SSL.

    Harish

  • Sign on screen up, but trying to sign on returns page not found

    Hullo,
had this issue on a LIVE instance running 11.5.10.2 (11.2.03 on RHEL 5.5) last week
Users could not connect (or work) to or in i Expenses. The sign on screen was up, but trying to sign on returned a page not found error.
I checked Apache processes and there were around 20 of them.
    Apache was running.
I decided to bounce Apache and this resolved the error.
I suspect that it wasn't Apache that was the problem (since there were many Apache processes running). What was the real issue? A module?
Any helpful tips will much much appreciated.
    Happy Christmas.
PS: Is simply grepping for Apache enough to confirm that it is running (as well as checking adapcctl.sh status)? Why are there over 25 Apache processes running - even when I check on an instance that no one is using??
    Thank you again.

  • Custom 404 Page Not Found, can't get it to work...

Environment: 1 CF webserver, 2 websites on the webserver
    (www.example1.com,www.example2.com)
Problem: I want to create a custom 404 page not found for
    each site.
I can't use the "Site-wide Error Handler " in the CF
administor because it makes the 2 sites share the same 404
template. I've also tryed to set the IIS Custom Error properties
but when i do that I still get the ColdFusion defined (not my
custom page) 404 message. Help.. I'm sure there is a way to do this
    some how... Thx

Forgot to mention, the 2 sites are in seperate folders.

  • The requested URL /pls/portal/display.jsp was not found on this server.

    Hi,
I managed to get ultrasearch running now. The crawling process seems to run smooth. Executing a search gives me the correct result. However, i can not display the documents that are listed in the resultpage.
The link to the document is like this:
    http://myportal/pls/portal/display.jsp?type=file&f_url=C:\ultra_docs\sultan\filetransfer\htc\site.doc
The path in the url seems ok to me.
Cliking on this link gives me the following error:
The requested URL /pls/portal/display.jsp was not found on this server.
Please, help me out here :/
    mvg
    Bram

I just tested it by accessing the search page with the following url:
    http://myportal/ultrasearch/query/search.jsp
This gives me the same result and the links to the actual documents work fine now too! But it is not working from within portal, the links generated by the ultrasearch portlet give me an error.
The requested URL /pls/portal/display.jsp was not found on this server.
    Please Help me Out

  • Proxy servlet returns "page not found"

I want all request ending with "/PPO" will be proxy to "http://www.yahoo.com".
              Explanation:
              Our application is deployed on:
              C:\bea\user_projects\rci_domain\applications\rdas
"rdas" is an applications context, we access our application using:
              http://localhost:7001/rdas/LoginDev.jsp
I want the following request should be proxied to another server.
              http://localhost:7001/rdas/PPO (request for "PPO")
              Should Proxy to: http://www.yahoo.com
I tried to simulate the same type of scenario. Following is a part from my web.xml file.
              <servlet>
                   <servlet-name>ProxyServlet</servlet-name>
                   <servlet-class>weblogic.servlet.proxy.HttpProxyServlet
                   </servlet-class>
                   <init-param>
                        <param-name>redirectURL</param-name>
                        <param-value>http://www.yahoo.com</param-value>
                   </init-param>
              </servlet>
              <servlet-mapping>
                   <servlet-name>ProxyServlet</servlet-name>
                   <url-pattern>/PPO</url-pattern>
              </servlet-mapping>
              Problem:
It is taking me to yahoo.com, but with "Page Not Found" content. I don’t know why it is showing the yahoo.com page with "Page not found". For example you will see the same page what I am seeing using HTTPProxyServlet, if you try the following:
              http://www.yahoo.com/rdas/PPO
              or
              http://www.yahoo.com/blabla
Note: I can not define "context-root" set to "/" parameter in weblogic.xml file, because our application is accessed using "/rdas". All request must have /rdas as well.
I don’t know what I am missing here. Your solution/suggestions are really important. Your earliest reply is really grateful.
              Thanks
              Farhan

As Peter says, it might be a bug. I did another test. Selected the URL from my IDD, opened the Hyperlink panel, clicked on Create New Hyperlink and this is what I get: http://www.projectorcentral.com/paint_perfect_screen_%24100.htm. So ID is changing "$" to "%24". But, when I click on Go To Destination, still takes me to the website! I'm on a PC with CS6 8.0.1 and using Google Chrome.
Did a second test just for fun: without selecting the URL in the ID, I went to Type/Hyperlinks & Cross-References/Convert URLs to Hyperlinks and ID creates two Hyperlinks: http://www.projectorcentral.com/paint_perfect_screen_ and a separate: 100.htm. So, ID splits the Hyperlink right at "$". So definitely ID doesn't like the "$".

When i am clicking on integration directory link, it is pointing to Central SLD J2ee Port (50100) instead of 50300, it is pointing to

Could some help me where to change and what to change?
    Thanks,

Have you checked port in Netweaver Administration?
See which port is mentioned there. (If you are using PI 7.1)
Check in SXMB_ADM transaction, and in your RFC Destination, where it is pointing.

I get a page not found error and it shoots to

Did I miss a step somewhere?
I installed on a Windows XP box with IIS under the

    Thanks in advance.

Better use BASIC installation type. If you go for advance installation you have to very carefull selecting all the key parameters. Are you looking for more specific ?? then can you please tell us the purpose of choosing advance installation type.

  • OC4J AJP13 Firewalled Connection, Page Not Found and Action Cancelled

I have a J2EE application that works fine within the company intranet, however the live internet available version is plagued by Action Cancelled and Page Not Found Errors. We also get some queries that hang.
Having recently switched from Apache2/Tomcat to OHS/OC4J (10gR2), through a halfway house of Apache2/OC4J, I can also state that the problem occurs on these platforms as well. The operational application only uses SSL connections.
According to our Firewall team idal connection timeouts are in the order of six hours, and we have tried opening all ports between the Web Server and Application Server, just in case we were blocking something, all to no avail.
We also sometimes get the ie popup for changing between secure and unsecure objects, or displaying secure and unsecure objects, despite having those popups disabled in the browser. The only HTTP call shown within the HTTP trace is a random call from the browser to CONNECT to the application secure base URL which points to a splash page. I have no idea where this is coming from.
The application concerned is Business Objects.
    Any thoughts.
Interestingly, when I activate Fiddler, the Microsoft IE HTTP(S) monitor the problem goes away, except for the page hangs which occur when a jsp script requests data.
I can modify any parameters relating to mod_oc4j, OHS, and the application container.

  • BC4J page not found

I am trying to deploy a very simple BC4J page to a standalone OC4J using JDeveloper (10.1.2, same version as OC4J) but got "page not found" all the time.
This page can be running in JDeveloper embedded OC4J without any issues and the WAR file was created using JDeveloper. No issues occured in the deployment. But BC4J page cannot be shown up - got "page not found" error. Other JSP pages are fine. I checked the "persistence\_pages" directory and it turns out that those JSP pages using BC4J were not translated into Java files until I remove the BC4J component from the page. It seems datatags.jar and web.xml are ok.
    Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

No ADF is not preinstalled on the OC4J.
Check under the tools menu for the ADF Runtime installer and run it on your OC4J instance.

which link is throwing the error, could you please mentioned that?
Do you have any custom  /farm solution deployed into the farm, if yes make sure the solution is sucessfully deployed.
Also make sure if there is any customization which required to that page , still there.
Try to detach the content DB and reattach it.
