JSP Project
Dear Fellow Programmer,
My name is Brett, and my company is Daveations. INC. We have started
a new division in our company called Course Creation, and we have
already signed up with a lot of schools and big corporations. We
really do project this will be huge, and we keep signing up with more
schools everyday. What we are looking for is for an experienced
programmer of any languages, such as JSP ,SQL, ASP and so forth to
write a course for us. The courses will be sold, and you will receive
a nice
percentage of every sale. We are projecting right now that 5-10 of
each course in each language will be sold per school. And right now
we have 50 schools with it adding. So we figure you will do very well
in this little project. It isn't a long project and it is very
profitable. If you would like to know more about this please feel
free to email me at any time with your questions and concerns. I look
forward to hearing from you, and I hopefully we can bring you on the
team.
Thank you for your time
Brett

Remote system JSP project not working in eclipse
Hi
I am developing a JSP project. My files are on a remote server and I want to configure it in Eclipse 3.3 with Lomboz. The problem is After adding the project it gives a warning that xml files can't be validated. The exact warning is
The file cannot be validated as the XML Schema "\192.168.1.10\gunjan_share\workspace\Project1\WebContent\WEB-INF\web.xml (The system cannot find the path specified)" that is specified as describing the syntax of the file cannot be located.
Due to this error JSP pages are not getting compiled.
Plz help me
ThanksExtracted from Note 1067696.1:
You need to either adapt your code to remove the scriptlets in your JSP page,
or you can use the following Java option to disable OJSP:
-Dadfvdt.disableOjspDeployment=true
You can add this option -Dadfvdt.disableOjspDeployment=true in your file "ide.conf" in the directory "<Middleware_Home>\jdeveloper\ide\bin"
For your Production environment, you can have your Managed WLS ignoring the OJSP mode by adding the Java Option -Dadfvdt.disableOjspDeployment=true
* in the "startManagedWebLogic" (if you want to limit it to a specific Managed Server)
* or "setDomainEnv" (for all managed servers in a domain). -

How to compile jsp project on the plateform of Myeclipse and jboss
hi :-) this is not eclipse forum and not that sure about your problem but i'll try to answer :-)
i'm not sure how you create your war but there something wrong with your web.xml. kindly check it :-)
by d way, you can deploy your project in my-eclipse by
- right click on the project then select my-eclipse > Add and Remove Project Deployment's
- a new window will open and you can now configure how you deploy your project :-)
other alternative edit your jboss-service.xml then put something like this
<attribute name="URLs">deploy/, file:/D:/workspace/deploy</attribute>
(note, change the path according to your needs)

How to setup and run JSP project in BEA Weblogic
i am trying to run my JSP project located in c:\project. i am actually running it in Tomcat webserver, this time i wanna test it in bea weblogic server, i have downloaded a version 8.1, before purchasing the software for development use, i wanna know and test first BEA's integrity and use... my question is how can i set up the base document path that i have in tomcat in bea, so i can just point it to such directory and run it directly using port 7001 for bea weblogic server..
can anybody help me get tru it step-by-step??

Simplest way "in my opinion":
1. start weblogic Server. You can use Server with examples. This domain
is already configured, so You will not need any domain configuration tasks.
2. open weblogic administration console using browser
http://localhost:7001/console/. Log in.
3. On the left side choose Deployments -> Web Application Modules
4. Click "Deploy a new Web Application Module"
5. Find folder with Your application. Mark it and click Target Module.
6. Define Application name and click Deploy
7. If deployed successfully, Your application should be accessible at
http://localhost:7001/YourApplicationContextRoot

How to import existing jsp project into jdeveloper
can someone help me how to import existing jsp project into jdeveloper?
can give me step by step to import..cause i am new for jdeveloper..
thank you very muchWell there are two options - if you have a WAR file with the code in it, then you can use the file->import WAR.
Or you can use the new->Project from source code.
Note that you'll probably need to do some library settings and some directory setting after that.
Have a look at this demo for basic steps:
http://download.oracle.com/otn_hosted_doc/jdeveloper/11gdemos/NBtoJDevProject/NBtoJDevProject.html -
Automatic generation of JSP Project from tables
JDeveloper had a feature in earlier versions (probably 9i) that automatically creates a JSP/Struts based project that can Add/Edit/Delete from a database table. I couldn't find it in the JDeveloper 10.1.3. Has this feature been taken out or its my inablility to find it?
Can anyone point me to the right direction? We took this off since it was mostly nice for demos but when you wanted to customize the application it wasn't really helpful.
Go through some of the ADF Tutorials on the JDeveloper tutorial page and you'll see similar functionality done with drag and drop - but in a way that lets you configure and customize whatever you want. -
Using facelets in existing JSF 1.2/JSP project?
Our current project consists of a lost of JSPs, some of which serve as place holders for other jsps which have been designed as subviews to be dropped into the holding jsps as required. In a lot of cases several JSPs differ in only one of the subview jsps which they display. So I see us having lots of Facelet templates. My question is, will every JSP need to be reworked in order to be able to work with Facelets? ie, an existing JSP which is just a subview and must be included in a holding JSP to be displayed, will this need to be modified much?
To be more exact, the problem could be custom and spring specific tag libraries instead of static includes. Even weblogic.appc is able to do the job, it would be useful when somebody could explain exact differences (validations for example) between weblogic.appc and appc goal of weblogic 12.1.2 maven plugin. We would like to use maven plugin.

we are doing a prject on VPN or virtual private networks.. for this we have created the front end.. and in many pages there are operations performed such as file uploading, create users and so on.. so when these submit or upload buttons are clicked the server needs to take it to the appropriate page based on the success or failure of the operation.. for this we need to write jsp codes.. we hav seen a few of them.. but we are unable to proceed in this direction.. if we cold get the hang of writing codes for our purpose it would be great..
Start here at part II: [http://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/tutorial/doc/].
For the uploading part, use Apache Commons FileUpload: [http://commons.apache.org/fileupload]. -

Can I customize my jsp project directory structure for Tomcat?
When developing with JSP app wizard against BC4J components...All JSP images, js, css, html is based off of a directory from Tomcat ROOT /webapp/images but I need to base these off another existing directory in root - so I'd want setImageDir("/dirname/webapp/images");
Is my only option to use the root directory of Tomcat? I had trouble getting that to work.
nullDid you read JDeveloper's online help?
There is a complete section about deploying J2EE (including JSP) applications to Oracle9iAS.
The chapter is called "Packaging and Deploying"
and you can access it online at: http://otn.oracle.com/jdeveloper903/help/ -
How to open a JSP project in Eclipse?
I am a new JSP user.
Can somebody tell me how to use eclipse for jsp programming.
Or can somebody give me a link that has a Eclipse JSP programming tutorial. You need a web programming plug-in. I use MyEclipse (www.myeclipseide.org), but it is not free. It is, however, very powerful and easy to use...
There are several free ones out there, specifically Lomboz is used by many. I believe it is free. -

9i; JSP; Add a .js file to JSP project?
Hi,
How can i add a file with other extension(not specified in
wizard) to my project in system navigator. I'd like to put all
JavaScript codes in a file with extension .js and added to the
project.PaulDixon wrote:
I've verified it's not present by attempting to load it and failing as outlined in the original post.
That's not an entirely meaningful verification as it only proves your code is failing; not why. Open the bundle in the Finder and look.
Perhaps my question would be better phrases as +'How do I stop XCode from treating a .js file as source code and put it in the resource bundle instead'+
Anything you want in the bundle needs to be in the "Copy Bundle Resources" build phase for the target.
