JSTL 1.1 Supported Java Version

Does anyone know off the top of their heads whether JSTL 1.1 will work with JSDK 1.3.1 ?
Thanks in advance.

Yes JSTL1.1 should work with JSDK 1.3.1
But there are some dependencies:
Specifically libraries for
- JAXP 1.2
- Xalan 2.5
- JDBC Standard Extension 2.0
J2SE 1.4 is recommended as it supplies all the libraries required.
From the readme file with JSTL1.1:
If the java platform under which you run your JSP container does not
provide these dependencies, they must be made available either globally
to all web-applications by your container, or individually within the
WEB-INF/lib directory of your web-application.
For convenience, these jar files have been included in directory
lib/old-dependencies of this distribution

    Hi Rajesh,
SAP PI 7.10, 7.11 (ehp1), 7.30 and 7.31 java code is compiled and shipped through JDK 1.5 and higher (1.6). SAP PI supports,
SAP Java JDK 1.5+ adn Sun's JDK 1.5. Whaterver customer code you write in your scenario like adapter module, java mapping and java proxy code, they all should compartiable with JDK version 1.5.

  • What is the Supported Java Version

I have been trying to find any information on what version of
Java Adobe will officially support for ColdFusion 8.
I am considering upgrading the Java version to the latest
(updater 5) but would avoid doing so if it means I would not be
    supported.
Does anyone know what versions of Java are supported for CF8?
    Thanks

I have seen that document and it says that 1.6_01 is the
supported version. I had seen a document referencing 1.6_02 and
figured that at least that version was supported. After going back
and finding it again, I see that it was not an Adobe document as I
    had recalled.
    Thanks

    Hi,
I ve installed BO XI R2 in my system.
While installing I had Java 1.5 in my system.
Now for some other purposes, I uninstalled Java 1.5 and installed Java1.6.
I ve also updated the environment variables with new path and class path.
But now in my Infoview, when I click "modify" link of any of the WebI report, it gets hanged
(Especially at the stage "Building user interface")
    What could be the problem?
I heard that BO does not support java versions beyond 1.4 and 1.5.
Is that true? Or what can be done for that as a solution
    Thanks

    MuthuVadugan,
We too are experiencing problems with Java 1.6, so our solution was to ask clients to hold off on either upgrading to 1.6 or to uninstall it and use either 1.4 or 1.5.  We've contacted Business Objects concerning this matter and have been informed that SP3 for XI R2 will be the eventual fix.  Working with our account rep, he tells us that SP3 is due out from Business Objects sometime in November.  Our service rep has told us that we could get a pre-release of SP3 sooner, however, this would be provided with no warranties implied, i.e. if it blows up our system that Business Objects will not support until post SP3 official release.  Hope this helps in understanding what's going on and your next steps.

  • JConnector - which Java Version is supportet?

Hi we have to develop a solution which connects a PDA (Windows Mobile) to the SAP System. We tried to use JAVA 1.5 but the virtual machine of our PDA does not support JAVA 1.5. It only supports JAVA up to version 1.3.
So my question: Does JConnector 2.1.2 support JAVA version 1.3?
    Best regards
    Volker

Ideally that would be the latest and greatest available.
In practice, it depends on a whole lot of unknowns. Different JVMs can perform differently on different OSes and with different configs

Pogo games plays on Java - the last version of Firefox 3.16.14 has a bug that does not support Java - I have been instructed by Pogo to install an earlier version of Firefox. How do I do that?

Firefox 3.6.15 was just released to fix that Bug.
You can use Help > '''Check for Updates''' to trigger an update to Firefox 3.6.15.

  • Other than moving to Version 4 or 5, neither of which support Java which I need, is there a way to fix the "Exc in ev handl: TypeError: this.oRoot.enable is not a function" bug I am getting in version 3.6.23?

I have used Version 4 and 5 and unfortunately neither supports Java functions that I require. I like the look and feel of 3.6.23 but there seems to be a script error on startup of Mozilla. When I double click the Icon to open the program I get "'''Exc in ev handl: TypeError: this.oRoot.enable is not a function'''" and so far haven't been able to locate the code line to fix it. I would rather not reverse Engineer the program.

This issue can be caused by the McAfee Site Advisor extension

  • What versions of the SAP Enterprise Portal support Java 5

What versions of the SAP Enterprise Portal support Java 5?
    Example:
If we were to use Java 5 code for an iView what versions of the portal would it run in?
I have reviewed the Product Availability Matrix (PAM) and this is not clear. All I can find are references to JAVA 4 when using EP 6.

    Hi Alejandro,
Currently, the version of SAP NetWeaver that is J2SE 5.0 as well as Java EE 5 compatible is the [SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment (NW CE)|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/nw-ce]. It does not provide the "full" Portal capabilities, however it does come with a "Portal Lite" and supports Portal applications development scenarios.

  • Firefox will not run a WebEx Meeting even though Java Script is Enabled! I am on 4.0, is this a beta version of FireFox? Are you going to Support Java anytime soon?

I am getting the following error after going in and setting up a WebEx meeting. I will not be able to use FireFox unless you get the ability to enable Java:
    "Java Not Enabled
Meeting Center cannot be installed because Java is disabled in your Web browser. Please enable Java in your browser, and then click Set Up again. For instructions on enabling Java, refer to your browser's online help.
If Java cannot be enabled for any reason, you can download the manual installer and install it from your desktop by double-clicking the installer icon."
I enabled Java, added WebEx to all secure sites and performed every possible check known to man. This is on your end FireFox.
Do you have an ETA when 4.0 will support Java?

I will not pretend to know any answers to your problems, but I do wonder if you realise Firefox did decide to produce and support an Extended Stability Release, unfortunately this is NOT going to be based on Firefox 3.6. but on Firefox 10.

  • PL/SQL support Java and VB

We are exploring the possibility of one Oracle DB supporting
both Application written in VB and Java. Do I have to write two
sets of PL/SQL stored procedures/packages so that one will work
with VB codes through OraOLEDB and the other set will support
    Java through JDBC?
I appreciate any of your inputs.
    Lisa

I think one version of the PL/SQL stored procedure will serve
both VB and Java programs. With Java JDBC, you can also load a
Java stored procedure into the database and then publish it so
that it can be called from another PL/SQL function, of couse in
this case, the Java stored procedure will have a version
different from that used by VB. Hope that this helps.
    Good Luck!

When i change my source Binary Format to jdk6 it runs without errors. What can i do for this without downgrading jdk version?

I resolved my problem. The issue was the version of EclipseLink that I had specified in my pom.xml. Version 2.0.1 has an issue with the meta-model generation and, in fact, I wanted to be using version 2.1.1. Once I changed to 2.1.1 everything compiled correctly.
