Jtable dont get drawn..nyone help with the solution.

Question

hi i am to draw jtable and its not draiwing the table.
can anyone suggest if that can be made to work,...

tablePane = new JPanel(new GridBagLayout());
                    ResultSet result = st.executeQuery(query);
                    tableFindsymbol = new JTable();
                    tablePane.add(tableFindsymbol);
                     JScrollPane scrollPane = new JScrollPane(tableFindsymbol);     
                     getContentPane().add(scrollPane);
                    tablePane.add(getContentPane());
                    tableFindsymbol.setModel(new ResultSetTableModel (result)); /// this line calls it     can anyone tell me if the call is proper or not and wht i am not getting it to show in the jtable

Kindly use following piece of code and it should work:-
tablePane = new JPanel(new BorderLayout());
                    ResultSet result = st.executeQuery(query);
                    tableFindsymbol = new JTable();
                    JScrollPane scrollPane = new JScrollPane(tableFindsymbol);     
                    tablePane.add(scrollpane);
                    getContentPane().add(tablePane);
                    tableFindsymbol.setModel(new ResultSetTableModel (result)); /// this line calls it
pack();
Only thing missing in your piece of code was that component hierarchy was not maintained. tablePane needs to be added to getContentPane().
