JTables and frequency count report

Is it possible to use jTable and make the cells un-editable and have it set up where if you click on a cell it could perform a specific action? I�m working on a program that calculates a frequency count report and I want to be able to click on the cell and have it display in another window the observations that contributed to that cells count. Is this possible using jTable or is there a better way to get what I want? Thanks for any suggestions.

Count number of rows from oracle and sql database and generate a report

Hi All,
Can someone help me in writing a java program for the following scenario?
1. Read the number of rows available from oracle table and print the total row count in a Report.txt text file.
2. Read the number of rows inserted in a sql database (after a specific process-just an information) and print the total row count in the same text file Report.txt .
3. Read the Error Log file (which is generated after a specific process say it has success and failed report for each iterations) and print the number of success and number of failure in the same text file Report.txt .
I need the final Report.txt file in the following format:
1. Oracle table <table name> has 500000 rows.
2. After completion of the specific process 300000 rows were added to SQL table <table name>
Error Log Report:
300000 successfull entries and 200000 failed entries were found from the Error Log file.

}I'm just codding the second half which is for connecting to oracle databse and calculates the row count and displayes in the command prompt.
then connects to SQL database and counts successfull insert in the table.(row count) and displayes on the command prompt.
can you simplify the above code so that i can call the oracleDB() method and SqlDB() method seperately from another calss file using the object of this class?
I'm ok if the report can be seen in a command prompt. FInally i need to calculate the success and failure count from the log file. will let you know once i'm done with codding.

Frequency counter with start and stop - Need help

When No load, 200VA Unity , 400VA Unity, 600VA Unity, 400VA LAG, 400VA LEAD or Short is active Frequency Counter starts.
When OFF and BENCH PWR is active Frequency Counter stops and is grayed out.
Frequency Counter is grayed out when BENCH PWR is inactive
Any one know ho to do this?

In order to enable or disable a control you need to write a U8 value to the Disabled property of the property node for that control.
The values are:
0 = Enabled
1 = Disabled
2 = Disabled and Grayed Out

Hi Shalini,
Please follow these steps, also check in for any more details if any;
Step 1: Launch CMC
Step 2: Select Servers
Step 3: Select Web Intelligence processing Server, right click and Goto Properties
Step 4: Maximum List Of Values Size (entries) default value is 50000.
Step 5: Increase this value if your "LOVS" greater than this value.
Step 6: Save and close.
Step 7: Restart the server.

Hello Rajesh,
The "problem" is the logically grouped set of the exception events which have the identical hash calculated over several fields as "Stack", "Source", "Failed Function" and so on... So, even if exceptions are different
in the other properties but hash matches over the considered properties - then all those exceptions go into the same "problem group".
So, event is an instance of the problem. One event contributes to one problem but one problem might have a huge event count if you have a repeating issue.
The logic is similar for the performance analysis report, only fields that go into the "problem" hash are different. e.g. "Stack" is not used in hash for perf events...

Frequency counter unreliable using rotary vane anemometer

I have set up an anemometer to measure air flow speed, with the signal being acquired by a 9402 module in a cDAQ-9174 chassis (4 slot). I am using Signal Express 2011 to program the instrument.
I have set up a frequency counter task, using a maximum frequency of 1.8 kHz a minimum frequency of 250 mHz, rising edge and 1-counter (low frequency). The output is scaled using y = 0.0111x + 0. This gives 20 m/s when the frequency is 1.8 kHz.
The readings given by Signal Express give a very noisy signal, at a frequency much higher than the bandwidth of the anemometer. The range is in the order of 20% of the mean. I have attached a PDF of the signal, for two different air flow sources, the seproj file and the tdms file for one of the runs. I have also observed that the counter output is rounded to the nearest multiple of 10, e.g. 490, 470, 480, 480, 470, etc.
Is this consistent with a digital bounce issue? Is this consistent with an earthing issue? Is this consistent with a sample rate issue? Any other ideas for investigating this issue?

I have logged the voltage signal coming from the anemometer, using our 9239, a report of a few cycles is attached as a PDF. The graph clearly shows a small digital bounce. The noise is small compared to the signal, is there any way it can be filtered when acquired by the 9402?
Other tests that I ran showed a background noise in the order of 50 microVolts and a frequency of 50 Hz, this is very likely a background noise from a power supply (we run at 50 Hz in Aus) but is many orders of magnitude smaller than the signal, I assume it would be ignoredby the 9402.

Updating of pages tabcontrol and the count of parameters of the generator

1. On the control panel at me it is located TabControl with several pages, on each of which graph are located. At start of the program the graph on page which during this moment is active is updated only. How to make so that at start graph on pages that after performance of the program it would be possible to analyse these actual graph on each page were updated all?
2. It would be desirable depending on frequency of digitization and frequency of the generator to count the necessary quantity of reports for reception of one period of signal. In the attached example at change of frequency for reception of the correct graph it is necessary to execute the program twice. How to me to correct this mistake?

Thanks for link! I shall try to explain a question 2. I will set number samples automatically by change F (Fs = 10000 - constant). In Generator.vi I set F=1000, run program. I see on Graph bad picture - few period of sin. I run program again and see on the graph correct picture - one period of sin. If I change F again (F=100) and run program, I see straight line. I run program once again and see on the graph correct picture - one period of sin. Look my GeneratorNew.zip and help me, please!

Logical AND in MDX Reporting Services Parameter

Hi, I would like to implement logical AND on a cube parameter. I have seen examples of hard-coded logical AND in MDX.

But I'm not sure how to apply this to a parameter's MDX dataset.

I can see there just one parameter @Department@Department in your script. But if you had two parameters that should return resultset affected by two parameters. You can do it as either select from subselect from subselect.

Frequency counter with E-Series DAQ Card

I am trying to measure the frequency of a signal at 0.1 sec increments using a DAQCard-6062E and an AT-MIO-16E-10. I am using a VI from the examples (frequency counter.vi, in a while loop) which works well with the DAQCard, but it's giving wrong measurements with the AT-MIO card. Why is that?

i had this for an interview question and basically came up with the solution where you use a hash table...

//read file in,
//for each word encountered, create an object that has (String word, int count) and push into hash table
//then loop and read out all the hash table entries

then the interviewer proceeded to grill me on why i shouldn't use a tree or any other data structure for that matter... i was kidna stumped on that.
also he asked me what happens if the number of words exceed the capacity of the hash table? i said you can increase the capacity of the hash table, but it doesn't sound too efficient and im not sure how much you know how to increase it by. i had some ok solutions:
1. read the file thru once, and get the number of words in the file, set the hashtable capacity to that number
2. do #1, but run anotehr alogrithm that will figure out distinct # of words
3. separate chaining

that matter... i was kidna stumped on that.A hashtable has ammortized O(1) time for insert and search. A balanced binary search tree has O(log n) complexity for the same operations. So, a hashtable will be faster for large number of words. The other option is a so-called "trie" (google for more), which has O(log m) complexity, where m is the length of the longest word. So if your words aren't too long, a trie may be just as fast as a hashtable. The trie may also use less memory than the hashtable.

solutions:The hashmap implementation that comes with Java grows automatically, you don't need to worry about it. It may not "sound" efficient to have to copy the entire datastructure, the copy happens quickly, and occurs relatively infrequently compared with the number of words you'll be inserting.

Assuming you're reading it from disk, most of the time will be spent reading from disk, not inserting to the hashtable. If you really want to size the hashtable a priori, you can make it so its big enough to hold all the words in the english language, which IIRC is about 20,000.
And relax, you had the right answer. I used to work in this field and this is exactly how we implemented our frequency counter and it worked perfectly well. Don't let these interveiewers push you around, just tell them why you thought hashtable was the best choice; show off your analytical skills!

How to get UUTPassed and UUTFailed count from C# ActiveX control

Hello,
My operator interface uses TestStand ActiveX control in C#. I will use the OP to test a bench of DUTs, which runs the same sequence file. I would like to know the total UUT-Tested, UUTPassed and UUTFailed count after each DUT tested. Is there any embedded parameter does the job for me and how could I get it? If there is not, I have to create internal variables in C# to do the job.

No, there is no build in function for this. So either you will have to implement something like this in on of the following:
a) The user interface
b) The SequenceFile (as long as it is not unloaded in between)
c) The process model
d) Use an external tool for analysis
If you are already working with databases for reporting, i would suggest using d). If not, you can choose. But modifying the process model is not recommended (if other, simple solutions are available), i wouldn't recommend c).

Sorry I never responded. It's really just a matter of what you need to report on. ISEG has all the basic information you need like plant, material, sloc, etc... so the other tables invovled is really a case by case type of thing. I can't think of much else you would really need for generic cycle count reporting.
Also, the previous post is a good method depending on your needs. If showing difference postings and whatnot is suitable, then go with the movement type. But if you need to dig deeper into it by showing system/counted quantities as well as the difference, then the custom extractor would be the way to go. For me, I did inventory accuracy/cycle counting type of reporting that needed to consider the actual quantities, as a difference of 2 units on an inventory of 100,000 units is a lot different that 2 units difference on a balance of 100 units. But that was just my case is all.

I have LabVIEW Express 7.0 Professional - SCXI-1000 Chassiss - along with SCXI-1112, and SCXI 1520/1314 - cable to the PCI-6052E is attached to the 1520 card.
MAX says it recognizes all the cards in the chassiss.

I tried to set up the system as DAQmx.
I had MAX auto-detect the set-up - and it recognized all the cards - but did not select the 1315 accessory on the 1540 card - I had to do that manually - but in the configuration section I would select the accessory and it would deselect itself. I had to get out of the set-up and then right click on the 1540 card and click on the "Accessories" tab and select the 1315 terminal block that way.
It didn't seem right that the system should behave that way, but I pressed onward.
I then tried to create a new DAQmx Task
When I create new DAQmx task and then click on Analog Input no "Position" Tab appears for me to select, all I get are:
Analog>>Voltage
Analog>>Temperature
Ana
log>>Strain
Analog>>Current
Analog>>Resistance
Analog>>Frequency
Analog>>Custom Voltage with Excitation
Do you think there might be something wrong with either my hardware or perhaps my configuration that is not allowing it to recognize the 1540/1315 in DAQmx?
I had included the system report of what programs I am using, etc. as attached file nireport.txt
After the DAQmx did not work I tried installing everything as Traditional DAQ and it did let me set-up the 1540 Card with Excitation Voltage and Frequency and gain - I then went in to the VI that I had built and tried to use the Express DAQ Assisant to read the channel that I am connected to on the 1315/1540 - when I try to use DAQ Assistant it gives me an error saying that "Device not available in NI-DAQmx. It is possible that the device is being use by traditional NI-DAQ"
Which I guess it is since both configurations are now set-up in MAX.
I would PREFER to use the DAQmx set-up, but I am confused as to WHY it won
't come up with
Analog input>>POSITION>>LVDT
When I try to create a new DAQmx task.

our project is about designing an "eddy current based sensor for contactless measurement of breathing".we had so far designed an colpitts oscillator with 12MHZ of output,this frequency is converted to square pulse using a schmitt trigger.Now we want to know whether it is possible to count this frequency of 12MHZ in lab view?.what is the maximum and minimum frequency counted by lab view?

Not until you tell me exactly which DAQ hardware you are using (model number) and what you mean by "feeding 12MHz to LabVIEW". Are you trying to measure the frequency, pulses, edges, what?
