Junit integrated in JDev

I've installed "JUnit Integration for Business Components 10.1.3.36.73" by the "Check for updates" wizard.
It works fine.
Is it possible to find the file that i have downloaded?
So i can install the same file on my portable.
Greeting,
Dirk

Hi,
If the jdev in microsoft os, "jdevhome"\jdev\tmp\update.
If in linux, "userhome"/jdevhome/tmp/update
All the update files are there. But I don't have sure
which is JUnit Integration.

  • JDeveloper 11.1.2.1.0 : The JUnit Integration update cannot be installed

    Hi.
    When trying to install "JUnit Integration 11.1.2.1.38.60.81" I got this message:
    "The JUnit Integration update cannot be installed because it has a required licence agreement that could not be read. Click Back to remove this update."
    I want to install from a local file junit_bundle.zip.
    Thanks for help
    Stefan Pongratz

    Stefan, I guess you have to have an internet connection if you want to install it from the local junit_bundle.zip. During the install it loads the licence from the web. If it can't access the file you get the error you see.
    You can try to download the licence into the same directory where you have stored the bundle, but I'm not sure jdev looks for it there.

  • JUnits and JUnit Integration

    I've been trying to run an overly simple test case that I have added to my project with no success.
    I found by searching help that JDeveloper has an extension for helping with JUnit called "JUnit Integration." I don't have this extension installed and when I "Check For Updates" it is not listed. Where can I get this extension since it's not been offered in the updates wizard?
    Also, has anyone been successful in running JUnits within their project, within JDev for 11g? If so I would love some tips and suggestions.
    Up until now our developers are relying on the external build process to run their tests or pulling the code into another IDE.
    Thanks!
    Al

    You should see the extension in the check for update if you are using the latest JDev 11 version (TP3).
    If you still don't see it, download the file from here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/101/update/center.xml#oracle.jdeveloper.junit
    Then point the check for update to this local file.

  • Jheadstart will be integrated into Jdev 9.0.5

    In JHeadstart new feature direction, it will be
    integrated into Jdeveloper 9.0.5, that is when Jdeveloper
    released all body needn't to buy standalone JHeadstart
    like now.
    Is this thinking right or wrong ?

    Ok, I think the confusion is caused by an unfortunate phrasing from our side. What we meant with "integrated in Jdev 9.0.5", is not that JHeadstart as a product will be gone. All we meant to say there is that we will make JHeadstart compatible with jdev 9.0.5 and ADF.
    The JHeadstart team is thrilled about the ADF initiative, we think it is great technology. With JHeadstart we will 100% align with ADF, but Jan is right we have to work out the details of what this exactly means. Here is a summary of our current plans:
    Our first goal is to release a new JHeadstart version end of August (2003) compatible with the current jdev production version
    (9031/904). As you probably know, this release adds support for JSP and Struts. UIX and MVC Framework support will stay in.
    After this release, we will focus completely on ADF integration. We have identified the following integration areas:
    - Use ADF data binding. We have to look in more detail into the ADF binding, but as we see it right now, some of the more
    trivial JHeadstart mvc processes/struts actions can go away, like BrowseDataSourceSet and HandleTableEvent. Standard actions
    like browsing, scrolling and save one record can be done declaratively with ADF data binding. However, more complex save
    actions like we support in SaveDataSourceSet will remain.
    - Add ability to use JSTL and EL in generated JSP pages (in the upcoming release, we use all Struts tag libs)
    - Replace our custom BC4J generator with the Designer BC4j Generator within the JHeadstart Designer Generator
    - Upgrade MVC Framework to ADF controller (ADFc) (Note that ADFc will not yet be available in 905 preview).
    Apart from ADF integration, we would like to enhance the JHeadstart Application Generator significantly in future releases, for example, generating wizard style layouts, multi-select LOV's, shuttles, unlimited nesting of groups, etc.
    In summary, some of the JHeadstart runtime components and some JHeadstart handler functionality will become obsolete with ADF.
    However, the Application Generator, driven from the JHeadstart application structure file and ADF meta data, will remain a significant productivity booster, as well as some of the more sophisticated JHeadstart Struts actions.
    Also, the JHeadstart Designer Generator adds significant value on top of the Designer BC4J generator: it allows you to
    migrate not only the Model, but a complete application including the View and Controller.
    One of the really nice things of JHeadstart-ADF combination is that after you have generated a "second-cut" application
    with Jheadstart, you should be able to use the ADF Struts visual page flow modeler and ADF layout editor to pick up the generated
    struts-config, and generated uix/jsp pages and finish off your application with visual aids.
    Hope this clarifies a bit how we see JHeadstart with respect to ADF.
    Steven Davelaar,
    JHeadstart Team.

    In the Check for Update wizard in JDeveloper the Update Center "Official Oracle Extension and Updates"
    mentions http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=updatecenter:uc
    that redirected to http://www.oracle.com/ocom/groups/public/@otn/documents/webcontent/131167.xml

  • Extend the BC4J JUnit Integration Extension

    I am working on extending the BC4J JUnit Integration
    I want to Add base classes for View and AppModule tests by default and have some more basic test cases.
    Also to add jtestcase libraries in order to use jests xml.
    Is it posible to have the source code of BC4J JUnit Integration so i dont start from ground zero?
    Thanks

    My point is:
    The JDeveloper Extensions from partners are open source.
    JDeveloper provide IDE to create extensions.
    It also provide sample extensions.
    It would be helpfull if it was open source so ppl can contribute to it.
    The BC4J JUnit Integration Extension is not so sophisticated. it can be reproduced easy.
    But as it is you need first to create your base test classes and then to run the extension and then to add some more code.
    i.e. it does provide jtestcase xml but not the libraries for jtestcase
    My intention is to contribute.
    I guess i have to create my own extension.

    No idea what OraTst is, but based upon the name of your data source, I'd guess you are an Oracle employee using an internal framework. I understand that there are some internal Oracle forums that you can use.

  • Why is there still no Reports integration with JDev (9.0.3)

    see http://otn.oracle.com/products/reports/htdocs/getstart/demonstrations/JDEV1/index.html
    This doesn't work since the Reports feature disappeared with the 'upgrade' to JDev 9.0.3.
    When will this integration be reestablished?
    One step forward and three steps backwards doesn't improve productivity or customer satisfaction.

    Hi James
    You can't integrate Reports with JDev 9.0.3 for time-being. The way an add-in gets installed changed pretty dramatically in JDev 9.0.3. So, you'll need to wait until 9iDS 9.0.4.
    You install a iDS version of JDev you will get the Reports JSP wizards, etc.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    you have a java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.adf.share.weblogic.listeners.ADFApplicationLifecycleListener in your stack trace.
    This looks like your installation has a flaw. If it's only your machine, remove JDEV from it and install it again.

  • Q: XMLTask Integration in JDev?

    XMLTask (http://www.oopsconsultancy.com/software/xmltask/) provides an Ant task that allows one to do XML document manipulation. I would like to add the XMLTask jar file to my JDev environment so that I can use the 'xmltask' Ant task within my build.xml file. Does anyone know where I put the jar "xmltask-v1.11.jar" so that it is part of JDev's classpath. I've tried putting it in several directories but I always get the following error:
    Error(18): taskdef class com.oopsconsultancy.xmltask.ant.XmlTask cannot be found
    for the following line in the build.xml file
    <taskdef name="xmltask" classname="com.oopsconsultancy.xmltask.ant.XmlTask"/>

    1. Create a path element.
    2. Add the jar file to the path element.
    <path id="project.class.path">
    <fileset dir="${xmltask}">
    <include name="xmltask-v1.11.jar"/>
    </fileset>
    </path>
    3. In the taskdef set the classpathref element.
    <taskdef name="xmltask"
    classname="com.oopsconsultancy.xmltask.ant.XmlTask"
    classpathref="project.class.path"/>

  • Ojdbc14.jar not integrated in JDev 9.0.5.x?

    Hi,
    the documentation of Oracle 9i DB says, there is a new archiv for the jdbc driver: ojdbc14.jar. Until now we used classes12.zip (or classes12.jar).
    But why is the new driver lib missing in JDev 9.0.5.x?
    Best regards,
    Torsten.

    Can you please recommend some way to use ojdbc14.jar with JDeveloper 9.0.5.2? Ommitting Oracle JDBC from the project libraries and including a new library for ojdbc14.jar does not work for all classpath issues, such as for data source definitions in the data-sources.xml file. What does seem to work is replacing jdbc/lib/classes12dms.jar with ojdbc14.jar but I'm not sure if this will cause strange side effects. Is there any cleaner way of using ojdbc14.jar?
    Thanks,
    Jeff

  • Junit integration

    The standard JUnit setup is to have two source directories (for simplicity ./src and ./test) then having each source tree mirror each other. The JUnit plug-in doesn't seem to handle this fairly standard case very well. Instead it tries to place the tests into a similar package but with test as the first folder. That is to say if I had a class com.ImportantClass the test for it would be in test.com.ImportantClassTest. It looks like a way to mitigate the fact that multiple source folders are not handled particularly well in JDeveloper.
    This is less than ideal.
    I found the following post in the archives from 2003 which seems to suggest "tough cookies."
    Multiple folders for Java types?
    Is there any advice here in 2008 that is any different than what was given in the above post, and is there any future plans to resolve this issue? I would think with the surge in the use of maven that this multiple source folder problem will continue to plague developers using JDeveloper.
    Thanks for the help

    +1. One (unsatisfactory) workaround - make two .jprs one pointing at "src" and the other at "testsrc", and have both "projects" open in JDeveloper.

  • JUnit for JDev Extension project

    Hi All,
    Just like JUnit integration for ADF BC's, does JDeveloper have any inbuilt wizard/support for JUnit in JDev extension project?
    Thanks

    Hi Frank,
    Thank you for the information. When you say "no specific JUnit" , does it mean that we could test an extension project using normal JUnit practices? I am asking this question because I am creating an extension project which adds a menu item to Tools Menu Bar. I am having trouble testing the successful addition of the menu item in JUnit. Could you provide some pointers towards the same?
    Thanks
