Hello. I just picked up a new ps3 120gb. Like many other people, I am having a hell of a time connecting the ps3 to my home network through my befw11s4 v4. I've done some research and have found that there seem to be a lot of different fixes for problems not exactly like mine. Here's the story: when I go through the network setup process on the ps3, enter in all the network info, and try to connect to the network I get a message "access point not detected". The first thing I tried was updating the firmware on the router. That didn't resolve the problem. Next, I switched from 64bit wep encryption to wpa-tkip. That didn't resolve the problem. However, after power cycling all network equipment and the ps3, the ps3 finally found my router SSID (87% signal strength) and a few of my neighbors'. However, after updating the network settings on the ps3, I tried to connect and got a message: "password authentication process timed out, check that passkey is correct". The passkey was correct. Next time I turned on the ps3, it was back to the same old "access point not detected" **bleep**. I tried turning off the SSID broadcast feature on the router, to no avail. Can anyone lay out the exact settings that my router must have to be able to connect to the ps3? Thanks in advance for any advice....

Did you reset the router after upgrading it's firmware...If not then,reset the router for 5 seconds and reconfigure it from the scratch..Lower down the security mode to WEP,change the Wireless Channel to 11-2.467GHz and reduce the MTU value to 1364 on the router.

I'm a longtime Premiere user but I'm new to Premiere Pro 2.0 so I'm sure that there's a million things I'm doing wrong with this version.
I just finished working on a wedding for a friend and now that I've exported the video and burned it to DVD it appears like the TV can't keep up with the video. If the camera/video is stationary then it's fine. But if the video moves or pans to track something the picture drags badly. The audio is just fine.
The footage came from a Sony PD-150 (I know, I know... non-HD, but a prosumer grade camera... back in the day it was amazing) and a Canon DX20 (HD consumer-grade camera)
My machine is fairly new (upgraded within the last 6 months) but is definitely not a blazing editting machine. I'm also not really in the wedding video business anymore (as I'm sure you can tell by my camera selection) so I'm not really looking to spend a ton of money on hardware solutions.
I'm just looking to figure out if this is something I can fix using what I have. If it's impossible then I'll look for another solution. I'm just such a big fan of Premiere 6 that I figured I'd give Premiere Pro 2.0 a try for those times that a friend would con me into videoing their wedding... that and Premiere 6 seemed to refuse to work with the footage from the Canon, even though it wasn't HD footage (wanted the Sony and Canon footage to look somewhat similar.)
I'm taking a shot at fixing it by just exporting it with a higher FPS, although I know that's a shot in the dark. I'd pull the specs on my computer, but it's currently chugging away and I don't really want to make the 12 hours 40 min 17 seconds that it's got left take any long than necessary.
If you need any piece of information to offer any advice just let me know. And if you want to tell me I'm a noobie or something along those lines then feel free. I've been flamed enough times in enough online forums that it doesn't bother me anymore.

My tests were run with PE4 (up to PE7 now) Projects, and PrPro2 Projects. PrPro2 will Open PE4 Projects, with some glitches. These were involving treatmensts, that did not appear in PrPro2. Still, they Opened. Trying to go the other way did not work. When trying to Open PrPro2 Project files in PE4, I got the error, "This project was created in Premiere Pro 2.0. Use that program to Open this project. What kind of fool are you?" [OK, that last line was added by me, but that was the tone of the message.]
You can go one way (with some limitations), but not the other.

Another Videora Post- I just need help with this one problem, please!

I am guessing that the best way to convert your videos to an iPod compatible format is Videora. It works lovely, except for one glitch. I notice that the audio is noticeably off when I play the video. Any solution on how to fix this? I would really appreciate it if anyone helped me out on this

Have just installed PE12 with no install problems. Share preference does not show any email preferences, just the default Adobe.

PE12 just installed, but Organizer share preference for emailing photos does not show any email preferences except the default Adobe. Have Visa with Windows Mail. Previous PE worked OK. How to resolve?

Just another guy begging for help

ok so heres how it is. my ipod was hooked up to a stereo and one of my freinds tripped on the chord and my ipod flew. i have a first gen 10 gig and its in a hard case. back to my invigorating story. well it took some shco k but i turned it on and played with it and it appeared to be fine. well i hooked it up again and let it play and i fell asleep and it ran till the battery died. well when i woke up in the morning and plugged it into the wall there was no music on it at all. nothing. all my settings were there and everything but no music. so i go home and it tells me that its corrupted and i need to restore it so i do that. everything is fine and dandy until i try to sync and after about 20 songs the ipod and itunes freezes up and disconnects itself. so after several hours of the 5 R's and multiple sync attempts i do it manually. well im copying songs from top to bottom and after about 20 - 30 songs it freezes and stuff so i reconnect and start at the same song that it froze up on and it works fine until about 20 - 30 songs. so its not the songs. could it be the firstclass flight it had across the room? or is it a stupid error with itunes. the error i keep getting is -124. technology hates me. should i try the carpet drop?

Last month, I had encountered this incident "Another supervisor just logged in with the sameID you are logged in with" when I launched the CSD. When I looked at other supervisors account of the same team we were just the two of us. We are using AD and I am sure we have unique username/password. It worked before. I restarted the application, I uninstall then re-install. I cannot find any solution to it. Hope you can help me resolve this issue. I attached the snapshot of the error.

Do you have access to the UCCX(E) server? If so, run the showlicenseusage.exe file next time it happens and find out what IP address the "other" user is logged in as you from.

Another possibility is that the machine you are logging in on already has an instance of CSD running that you are logged in to. Check your task manager for an already running process (supervisor.exe).

Would you check if the addresses of the device conflicts with one of the new devices in the cascaded segments?
If this is not the issue, can you try to see what happens if you only use this one device with the same procedure you have done? Just wanna try to narrow down where the problem is. A capture by FBUS Monitor is even better.

I have been working at this for about 4 hours now with no success and I am getting pretty frustrated, so if it show up in my typing please ignore it. I just don't understand why these multi-million dollar companies can't write a manual or put up a web site that can actually help someone with a problem.
Ok, venting aside.
I am running a gateway computer.
Operating System = XP
Router = Linksys WRT54G
I have two other computers that are working fine with the existing wireless net work and have been for some time.
I'm pretty good with my computer but haven't touched my router since initial set-up and all that was done was a basic set up.
My I-pod is searching for a network and I'm three feet away from it but it doesn't find it.
I printed out my wireless setting. I presume SSID name equals the name box on the ipod-touch
Security = WEP
What seems to be kicking my A$$ is the password. The route setting have never been changed so I would pesume the password should be the default "admin" which I put in (JOIN) and get the "Could not find network" screen
So, I have perused this message board trying to discover and answer to mine, and and apparently many others question with no definitive results.
So I guess what I and everybody else needs is a step by step how to guide on how to discover the info needed and enter in what we need to make this work.
Thanks in advance to anybody that can actually help with this issue. A step by step do this would be nice.

Thank you Terpfen for replying, and please excuse my ill temper earlier. I've calmed down some now.
Step: 1 followed step one previously, Main screen, settings, Wi-Fi. Also set power down to 5 min to give I-Pod plenty of time to find network.

At this point the I-pod does not find any networks available. The indicator just spins but never returns any results. I am 3 feet for my WRT54G router.
Hence the easy connect isn't connecting.
The next step. is to manually set-up the connection.
Main screen, setting, Wi-Fi, Other.
press "Other" which brings up two fields

First Question? Which Name are they looking for. when I went to my router 192.168.1.1 It has the name linksys. However, when I go to my Wireless Network setting it has the name * ???? * which is different than Linksys router.
Now, since one of the goals here is file sharing I presume I should be using the Wireless Network settings name. (which I have tried.)
Next is security, Wireless Network setting indicate setting for WEP Once this is selected you then back-up to the "Enter Network Setting Screen" and you now have a password line added.
Now I have never set a password for the router so the password for the router is the default Password "admin" And I don't recall ever setting a password for my network setting. But, I only use about three different passwords and a cycled through them still with no success.
So, I need some expert advise on how and where to find the info to input into the required field to work or what I need to reset in my router to make this work.

The best way? Get her to bring it to you, especially if she makes good cakes.
Apples Back to my Mac isn't really suitable for this - it is designed for a single person who wants their Apple ID on the system. It would mean she would have to share hers with you & you would also have to setup her Apple ID on your Mac - it is messy & causes trouble with iCloud, iTunes etc.
You can try Messages if she is able to begin a session with you, see the 'invite to share screen' in the menus, weirdly you need to use a service that isn't from Apple.
Messages (Mavericks): Share your screen
It may be better if you to setup LogMeIn or GoToMyPC. They should 'dial out' & maintain a constant connection so you can login whenever the Mac is powered up. It won't, require a human to initiate the process at the other end, just be aware that the router may cause issues depending on what is configured, you may need settings to enable automatic port forwarding - it really depend on which option you choose.

Problems with BEFW11S4 V2 Wireless Router

I just brought in this BEFW11S4 V2 to work to use as a temporary wireless router. Last night I had it working perfectly at home, updated the firmware got it all setup for work and all was good.
I bring it in today power it on, plug an ethernet cable into it and a desktop so that I can get my WEP password off the 192.168.1.1 ui. Bam windows comes up with limited or no connectivity. Try to enter setup anyways through ie and its a no go. Run an ipconfig get a 169.254.160.74, something ive never witnessed. Did a release and a renew, no dice. Tryed on another computer, same deal. So I download linksys site advisor program maybe it will fix this, nope it says that it doesnt detect a router. Ive tryed other ethernet cables and nothing seems to work.
Can anyone help me? I dont know where to go? Is there anyway I can set the router to factory defualts without being able to enter the ie ui? Help is greatly appreciated.

- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem

Take each of these steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved.
Step 1
The first step in dealing with a boot failure is to secure your data. If you want to preserve the contents of the startup drive, and you don't already have at least one current backup, you must try to back up now, before you do anything else. It may or may not be possible. If you don't care about the data that has changed since your last backup, you can skip this step.
There are several ways to back up a Mac that is unable to boot. You need an external hard drive to hold the backup data.
a. Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at the startup chime, or from a local Time Machine backup volume (option key at startup.) Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, launch Disk Utility and follow the instructions in the support article linked below, under “Instructions for backing up to an external hard disk via Disk Utility.”
How to back up and restore your files
b. If you have access to a working Mac, and both it and the non-working Mac have FireWire or Thunderbolt ports, boot the non-working Mac in target disk mode by holding down the key combination command-T at the startup chime. Connect the two Macs with a FireWire or Thunderbolt cable. The internal drive of the machine running in target mode will mount as an external drive on the other machine. Copy the data to another drive. This technique won't work with USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth.
How to use and troubleshoot FireWire target disk mode
c. If the internal drive of the non-working Mac is user-replaceable, remove it and mount it in an external enclosure or drive dock. Use another Mac to copy the data.
Step 2
Press and hold the power button until the power shuts off. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed to boot, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Use a different keyboard and/or mouse, if those devices are wired. If you can boot now, one of the devices you disconnected, or a combination of them, is causing the problem. Finding out which one is a process of elimination.
Before reconnecting an external storage device, make sure that your internal boot volume is selected in the Startup Disk pane of System Preferences.
Step 3
Boot in safe mode.* The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click Log in.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
*Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode. Post for further instructions.
When you boot in safe mode, it's normal to see a dark gray progress bar on a light gray background. If the progress bar gets stuck for more than a few minutes, or if the system shuts down automatically while the progress bar is displayed, your boot volume is damaged and the drive is probably malfunctioning. In that case, go to step 5.
If you can boot and log in now, empty the Trash, and then open the Finder Info window on your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) Check that you have at least 9 GB of available space, as shown in the window. If you don't, copy as many files as necessary to another volume (not another folder on the same volume) and delete the originals. Deletion isn't complete until you empty the Trash again. Do this until the available space is more than 9 GB. Then reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.)
If the boot process hangs again, the problem is likely caused by a third-party system modification that you installed. Post for further instructions.
Step 4
Sometimes a boot failure can be resolved by resetting the NVRAM.
Step 5
Launch Disk Utility in Recovery mode (see above for instructions.) Select your startup volume, then run Repair Disk. If any problems are found, repeat until clear. If Disk Utility reports that the volume can't be repaired, the drive has malfunctioned and should be replaced. You might choose to tolerate one such malfunction in the life of the drive. In that case, erase the volume and restore from a backup. If the same thing ever happens again, replace the drive immediately.
This is one of the rare situations in which you should also run Repair Permissions, ignoring the false warnings it produces. Look for the line "Permissions repaired successfully" at the end of the output. Then reboot as usual.
Step 6
Boot into Recovery again. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, follow the prompts to reinstall the OS. If your Mac was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade.
Note: You need an always-on Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection to the Internet to use Recovery. It won’t work with USB or PPPoE modems, or with proxy servers, or with networks that require a certificate for authentication.
Step 7
Repeat step 6, but this time erase the boot volume in Disk Utility before installing. The system should automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant. Follow the prompts to transfer your data from a backup.
Step 8
If you get this far, you're probably dealing with a hardware fault. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine tested.

Vertify that you have sufficient privileges to start system service....I hit retry and it came up again. I hit ignore and it prompted me to hit finish so Itunes can open. I looked thru alot of these posts on here to try and resolve this problem myself but it's not working too well...I downloaded Itunes to my desktop so I can right click it with the program i downloaded called WinRAR. I extracted it and then went into the folder called Itunes64setup. I saw the file called AppleMobileDeviceSupport64 in there so I began to try and download it on it's own. Well that didn't work as I planned and got this error message:
Apple Mobile Device Support wasn't installed on your computer. The installer encountered errors before Apple Mobile Device Support could be configured. Your system has not been modified. To retry these operations at a later time,please run the installer again.
Well I tried to run it again and came up with the same message...I see that some people got great support to help them so I am hoping someone can help me as well. I know "b nor" is very qualfied and hopefully can help me! Please advise what I can do. Thank you
