Just had replacement iPhone 4S but my music won't download? All my purchased albums are showing on iTunes Store and my iPad but won't download onto new iphone. I just bought another album on my phone and that won't download either. My phone is on IOS 6.1.3 iPad is on IOS 7.0.4
You can try resetting your iPhone by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.

What type of encryption are you using with your wireless network -WEP or WPA?
If your wireless router supports both which it should unless it is quite old and you are using WEP, try switching to WPA which is much more secure than WEP which is important if you have a Windows PC or any Windows based device connected to your network.
In addition, when was the last time you checked Netgear's website to see if there is a firmware update available for your wireless router model that you haven't installed? -
IPhone 5 apps and music won't download. Both say waiting
My iPhone 5 running iOS 7 latest beta won't download apps. My phone worked just fine yesterday then today my apps won't download or update and my music won't download it stays in the "waiting" status and I've done hard reset logged in and out of my Apple ID and nothing changes.
No official way to fix this until the full version of iOS 7 is out in mid September, but for now the quick way to download and update is to do the following:
•Hold your finger on the icon of the app that is stuck on waiting, until wiggle mode is enabled, and remove the app
•Plug in your iOS device to iTunes and sync
•Reinstall the application from the App Store and installs and upgrades should work again
•If not, rinse and repeat this process -
Upgraded to iPhone 5s but iTunes Match won't download the music I previously had on my 4s
I backed up my iPhone 4S (ios7). Synced my iPhone 5s (ios7) as a restore from my 4s backup. Everything shows except for my iTunes Match music. My playlist titles show, but contain no music. Also - no music under Albums, Songs, etc. I have turned iTunes Match on and off. It says it is downloading iTunes Match and I get the status bar. Once the bar is finished , there are still no songs on my 5s. Anyone else having this problem? Thanks!
On the iPhone disable iTM then open the Music app and let the content clear out. Now re-enable iTM.

In order to install iTunes 7, you need OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard, or newer. You can call the online Apple store, which in the US is at 800-MY-APPLE and order it.
If you want to upgrade to Lion or Mountain Lion, that would be the next step, however, you don't have to in order to use iTunes 7 and your iPhone 5. -
Can someone please help? Recently just had my iPhone 4S reconnected. I've now waited the 24 hours that you need to wait till everything goes back to normal. However on a phone call I can hear whoever I'm calling but they can't hear me?
i had the same problem a few weeks ago and i had only had my 3g iphone for a few weeks. It was as if i was on permanent mute. I could hear others fine, but they couldn't hear me, even if i used speakerphone or even a bluetooth.
i took it to an apple store and they did a real quick test (they first did a system restore, then they took my phone and tried calling another employee). Once they validated it wasn't working, they replaced my phone quickly with no questions asked. Just make sure to back up everything on I-Tunes before you go in so that you dont lose any info. might want to do the restore before you go in, as well, otherwise you'll have to wait for them to do it at the store, which takes them 15 mins or so.

To prevent messages from reaching both devices you can turn off Messages on the device you do not want to receive messages but keep Messages on on the device you do want to receive Messages.
You might also look at this option for both devices.
Settings > Messages > Send and Receive > review the a riotous choices for how you can e reached and select the ones that are most appropriate for you and the device you are setting. -

I have just had my iPhone stolen. I have an iPad and am worried that someone can access all my stuff. I am 64 and not technical and have tried to find out what to do from the help page, but I really need some simple guidelines on what to do. I have not got a lock on the phone, stupid me. I have stuff on the iPad and iPhone (cloud I think, but I don't really understand how that works anyway) HELP!

I just got an iphone 4, but use a dell computer (microsoft) at home. I plan to use the phone's calendar. How do I backup my calendar and phone contacts on my desktop as a safety net in case the phone is lost or destroyed. Thanks.

Do I need assign a name to both my iphones? I just got an iPhone 5, BUT I still use my iPhone 3GS as a camera & iPod, and will need to back it up and sync it occassionally, I have NOT named either phone yet, they are recognized only as "owner's iphone".

ALSO....Does turning the volume all the way down silence all phone sounds? I have AT&T on my iPhone 5, and I was wondering if there was a way to save my voicemails permanently somewhere, because they get erased by AT&T every 14 days.
ALSO.....How do I manage my 20,000 photos, in "my pictures" in my PC, shall I have one folder which has ALL of photos ALL OF THEM.........In sequence and then create dozens of other folders by event, catagory, etc. I get SO CONFUSED on what to do with my photos, what is THE BEST WAY to keep them organized.

i just got new iphone 4 but it tells me to restore the phone wen i plug in my computer.. then half way thru the restoring on the "firmwear" part it stops an says error "9?? wats the go there?? its driving me insane...
Let's first define what "new" means. Was it purchased from Apple or your authorized carrier, and it came in a shrink wrapped box? Or is it only new to you, and you don't know its history?
Assuming it truly is a new, never used phone, Error 9 means that the USB connection to the phone is intermittent. Do the following:
Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes (10.4) - if not, download and install it from htp://www.apple.com/itunes
Reboot your computer
Disable your antivirus and firewall software
Disconnect all USB devices except keyboard and mouse
Connect the cable to a USB port directly on your computer, not to a hub; do not connect the other end to the phone yet (If your computer is a desktop or tower and has ports on both front and back us a port on the back)
Launch iTunes
Connect the phone to the other end of the cable
If the phone is recognized in iTunes proceed with the Restore
If the phone is NOT recognized by iTunes:
Disconnect the cable from the phone (leave connected to the computer)
Hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons until the screen goes blank, then IMMEDIATELY release the SLEEP button but continue holding the HOME button
Connect the cable to the phone while holding the HOME button
Wait for iTunes to recognize the phone, then release the HOME button (this may take several minutes of holding)
If you still have a problem after these steps take the phone to Apple for exchange. -
I just had my iphone up dated using my little MacBook, it has been a while since I have done so, and it removed all of my apps all of my photos, and blanked out my calendar. Is there a way to get at least the photos? Can someone help me?

This is what happened when the phone was syncing. It only allowed the "option" to restore after that. Just like my original message to you, all of it disappeared when trying it resolve and discover what was the error. I had not clicked on either helpful or correct answer and when I explored what they were I got the same result. I am person that uses my apple products in limited ways as I need them. It is this type of frustrating result that keeps my use limited. -
i synced my phone that had an itunes account but no music on it to a computer and it erased all the music on that computer. is there any way to get the music back?
