Just installed drivers for Canon mp258 but can't locate them on my imac G5 and cant print??

I have spent 2 days downloading every Canon mp258 driver I can find for mac as I am unable to find any sign of the drivers on my imac. The printer should appear in system preferences, printer & fax but it is not there! Have read all the literature from Canon and there should not be a problem using this printer with OS 10.6.8?? What am I doing wrong?
Any ideas??

Adding Canon printers can be a little strange at times. You mentioned you were trying to add the printer on a Mac G5 system? What OS is it running? Your profile says you have an iMac with Mac OS 10.6.8 - this is confusing since 10.6.x cannot run on PPC machines. Do you mean 10.5.8?

Which way are you trying to update - iTunes or WiFi in the iPad settings? Try switching from one method to the other method. If you don't have a computer and need to use WiFi, try closing all apps and then reboot your iPad and try again.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of all of the apps in the recents tray. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar when you are done.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
It wouldn't hurt to reboot your router either by unplugging it from power for about 30 seconds, plug it back in, let it fully start up and then try to update again.

I just bought a new Canon 50D but can't open my raw files in Adobe CS4 Bridge or Photoshop.

The files show up as CR2 files and I get a message saying "could not complete your request because it is the wrong kind of document. I run on Windows XP. I would appreciate your help.

I posted the directions already about an hour ago.
Just for the heck of it: click on HELP and PLUG INS and see if CAMERA RAW is listed.
* I can almost guarantee its not even listed* but if it is, whatever, don't worry yet*
Here are the directions again.
download latest plug in for camera raw (go to adobe) go to DOWNLOADS
(go to downloads and it should be the first download they have listed)
save on desk top
open
click on the 'file' for Adobe (should be first icon listed)
then you need to put THAT PLUG IN
into your NON 64 bit PS
(it should be listed under programs as Adobe Photo Shop CS4 and Adobe Photshop (64 bit)

Can't install drivers for Sound Blaster Live! No ctzapxx.exe file

As above, I had to reboot my system and used a disk eraser as I wanted a clean slate. So obviously I have to reinstall the drivers for diff things such as sound card, USB 2.0 card etc. Everything goes fine until I get to installing the drivers for the Sound Blaster Li've!?I inserted the disc and installed the drivers, then I restarted Windows as requested. When it loads back up it'sdetects the sound card and trys to install the driver, but it can not find the driver anywhere, not on the PC or on the CD. the unipack download from creative will not work. first, try asking around if somebody else has the same 5. creative card as yours. the only solution for your problem is to use the installation cd that came with your creative card. I lost mine so i went to a pc repair shop and inquired if they have a copy of such cd - they normally do.
. you need to remove all the programs concerning creative from add remove programs. 2. shut down, and remove the sound card. 3. turn the pc on and let windows boot normally. install the the softwares and drivers using the cd that came with the box. 4. shut down and install the sound card 5. turn on the pc. windows will find a new hardware and will find the right drivers bec you have previously installed them. There is absolutely no need to reformat your hard dri've.

Go back to Boot Camp: on the 2nd page you get this:

Assuming the MP620 is connected to your wireless network, then there are two components to this device - the printer and the scanner. The printer uses Canon proprietary software while the scanner is supported by Apple's Bonjour service. So in many cases, you will at least see the scanner, shown as Bonjour Scanner in the Kind column, while the printer can take longer to appear and is shown as canonijnetwork in the Kind column. If you cannot see either then you have a network issue. Try turning off the MP620 for a minute and then turning back on. Then see if the scanner / printer component appears in the Add Printer window. If you still don't see either, then confirm the MP and the Mac are using the same network. If you know the MP's IP address you can use Network Utility to Ping the address. You can also enable Bonjour Bookmarks in Safari preferences and when selected, the MP620 should appear.

Hi, guys. I have a problem. I can`t install drivers for Promise IDE on WINXP. I `ve got an error "This device cannot start. (Code 10)". In Norton Ghost (DOS) drive on Promise work fine. I can`t install WINXP + SP1 on HDD on Promise controller. After pressing F6 and installing driver i `ve got an error Can`t find drive. BIOS 193 beta. Devices: IBM 120Gb 180GXP on primary master, Seagate 120 SATA 26AS on Third master. CD-ROM and DVD-ROM on secondary channel. Drivers 1.00.1.37 from ASUS and 1.00.1.29 from MSI. No result.
And another one. Why very poor perfomance when copying large files (700Mb). When starting copying speed is 25-27Mb/sec, when finishing 5-8Mb/sec. All drives under NTFS.

So if I do not misunderstand you, Windows hangs when accessing the drive?
Is it only with this drive, then maybe it's an incompatibility between the controller and the ata electronics of the drive.
Or maybe it's completely broken.. have you tried it on the ICH5 IDE controller?
If it works there you should use this configuration.
I've read about problem with some drives ... take a look into the threads on the top of this board (FAQ etc.).
What I found out yesterday: You can use the Promise in RAID mode and define a RAID0 array with only one single drive. So you could use the Fasttrak driver from MSI, which is up to date.
I haven't tried this solution (one disk in a RAID0 stripe configuration), but I think it should work...
Maybe you give it a try
PS.: Before you switch to RAID mode, you have to change the Promise Driver... but be careful: windows won't boot with the wrong driver - your last chance would be "last known good" then...

The way I did it was I got the free app sync:stream from the App Store and then added my ipod to my ps3's Bluetooth devices. Then went to audio settings and set output and input to 'Skaggs iPod' you then open the app and it will be listed under music as a media service. You then go to all tracks and click copy (press triangle) it will then begin to copy all of your songs onto your ps3 via Bluetooth. I haven't tried but I assume the same can be done with photos. Download the apps on your syncing computer and then sync to the iPod. Note that you can only sync apps for the one syncing computer you use with the iPod. You can manage music and videos among different computer.
