Jvm crach when entering debug braekpoint

When I enable FastSwap and set a breakpoint the jvm crash when the breakpoint is hit.
I use Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse 11.1.1.5.0, Eclipse 3.5 Build id: 20100218-1602
I have tried the supplied Jrocket 1.6.0_14 jvm, the supplied JDK 1.6.0_14 and I have downloaded the latest jvm 1.6.0_19 and all fails.

I just discovered that I have to deploy in an exlpoded directory for this to work, I will try it tomorrow and see if it solves the problem....

I have the same or similar issue.
I can attach to Weblogic. As soon as it reaches my breakpoint, my VM crashes.

When using Split Source Deployment & FastSwap, attaching from Eclipse Kepler.

    Hi,
    I get a SIGSEGV every time I use debug mode in Eclipse. Sometimes after a few breakpoints, sometimes when I start the debug view.

    Any clues anyone?

    get a SIGSEGV every time I use debug mode in EclipseSo if you create a hello world program and then debug it, it crashes?
    If yes then the causes would be
    1. The VM(s) binaries are corrupted. Plural as it depends on how you run Eclipse.
    2. Something else installed on your system at the OS level (or at least always running) is corrupt or is corrupting the OS.
    3. A hardware failure.

  • JVM crash when adding method to class

    Hello,
    I am getting some kind of problem with the virtual machine. The JVM crashes when making a class (with new). It happened when I was adding some functionality to the class, I worked my way backwards and discovered it crashes when I add any new methods, if I comment them out again everything works, adding a method by any name causes to crash.
    I went in debug to find out where it was happening, and it happens on this line:
    public PerspectiveActionToolBarHeader createPerspectiveActionToolBarHeader() {
         PerspectiveActionToolBarHeader ret = null;
         ret = new PerspectiveActionToolBarHeader(this); // << here
         return ret;
    }The PerspectiveActionToolBarHeader is the class where adding methods causes it to fail. For example, it has the method
    public Container getContainer() {
         return this;
    }and works, but if I add:
    public void anything(){} it causes a crash on the new PerspectiveActionToolBarHeader(this);
    When stepped into with the debugger it goes to the (source not found) ClassNotFoundException and eventually before the crash the (stack?) looks like this:
    Launcher$AppClassLoader(ClassLoader).loadClass(String) line: not available
    MaldiSoftwareOptionsUIEnsemble(PerspectiveUIEnsemble).createPerspectiveActionToolBarHeader() line: 72
    and the debugger describes the class just before the crash:
    Launcher$AppClassLoader (id=44)
    arg0     "saiman.uiobjnew.PerspectiveToolBarButton" (id=51) << has just changed
    and the log file (not sure how much to copy here!):
    # A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment:

    I think I may have stumbled across the answer, It seems that the abstract class PerspectiveToolBar implements
    the interface with the method public Container getContainer() but does not declare it, this should be fine because the method is abstract but it crashes. When I add the method public abstract Container getContainer(); to the abstract sub-class there is no error. I'm going to try make a small compilable example to see if I can reproduce it.
    edit its actually only one of the two interface methods, and not getContainer(), but another one. If anyone is interested here is the interface:
    public interface IMassSpectrometerPassableControlContainer
         Container getContainer();
         void reloadWidgetsOnVisible(boolean visible);
    }and it works only if there is "public abstract void reloadWidgetsOnVisible(boolean visible);" in the abstract class PerspectiveToolBar implementing IMassSpectrometerPassableControlContainer.
    I tried to reproduce it, but I can't get another class to repeat the behaviour, so I don't think I can post a bug report on it. Here is my attempt anyway:
    import javax.swing.JToolBar;
    * Class     Test.java
    * Date:     7 Jun 2011
    * @author     tofuser
    public class Test extends Subclass
         public static void main(String args[])
              System.out.println("in main method");
              Test t = new Test();
              t.interfaceMethod();
         @Override
         public void interfaceMethod()
              System.out.println("interface method");
    abstract class Subclass extends JToolBar implements Interface
         private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L;
         //this line is where it breaks in my code, including it works
         //public abstract void interfaceMethod();
    interface Interface
         public abstract void interfaceMethod();
    }Edited by: hanvyj on 07-Jun-2011 03:56

  • Need to allow only one of 2 buttons in a region to respond when enter pressed

    Hi,
    Apex version 4.2
    Theme: Blue Resposive 25
    My page has 1 region with a sub-region inside it.  Both regions have a button. When I hit enter it seems the button in the sub-region is the one that gets actioned.  I don't want this to happen I want the other button to run.  Is this possible ?
    Also when I google around looking for answers to this issue I see references to apex page items having a setting value of 'Submit when enter pressed' which can be changed to Yes or No.  I simply can't find that setting in my items.  Perhaps it has been removed in apex 4.2 ?
    Thanks
    Steve.

    Thanks Scott,
    That is useful information.  I turned on debug and I can see that my problem is actually that neither button is being submitted on enter.
    Are you able to tell me where the setting 'Submit when enter pressed' ? is found.  I think this is probably the key to my issue.
    Steve.
    It's in the item's Settings section. However, it's only available on Text and Password items.

  • JVM options for remote debugging

    I'm run Tomcat 5.0.28 using service wrapper and i need help with set the required JVM options for remote debugging from ECLIPSE 3.0.0.

    Where can I find a complete list of available JVM options for WLS?
    For example -Dweblogic.security.SSL.protocolVersion is not listed anywhere
    That is NOT a JVM options as I just explained in your other thread - see that thread for details.
    JVM options
    That "-Dxxx" syntax means you are specifying a system property on the Java command-line when launching Java.
    That property can now be accessed in the Java app
    You can make up and use ANYTHING you want when you write your own apps - those command line entries will just get added to the standard/default System properties as I explain in your other thread.
    Consult the WebLogic documentation (or onliine help if WLS has such a thing) for info on the system properties that have been defined for WLS.

  • Craches when updating the Outlook Calendar to iPod

    iTunes craches when updating the Outlook Calendar to my iPod.
    Where can I send the debug reports?

    AppName: itunes.exe AppVer: 6.0.4.2 ModName: unknown
    ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 35f769b8
    hmmmm. this is looking like a program conflict of some kind on the PC.
    let's try getting a DrWatson log for this one and sending it to someone who can interpret DrWatson logs.
    Windows start menu -> Run. Type in "cmd". Hit return. At the prompt in the command line window that comes up, type in
    drwtsn32 -i
    And hit return.
    This will create crash logs in Documents And Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Dr Watson\. There'll usually be a file in here called "drwtsn32.log"
    prior to collecting the itunes crash log, delete any existing crash logs in there. (we want to make sure we send the correct crash log.)
    generate the crash, collect the crash log, and send it to this email address
    in the email:
    (1) state the precise version number of itunes that you're using.
    (2) state your ipod updater version, ipod model, and version of the ipod software on the ipod:
    Identifying different iPod models
    iPod: How to find software version
    (3) include the URL to this thread so that the person who gets the email has some context, but also give as much information about the context of the crashing as you can.

  • Remote app in iOS 7 doesn't bring keyboard when entering text.

    I tried to use the remote app with my new iPad air with iOS 7 with and when I tried to make a search for a movie it won't bring the keyboard as before when entering text. The funny thing is that I have an old iPod 4th gen with iOS 6, and that one still brings the keyboard every time text needs to be entered, even still has the option to hide and bring out the keyboard. Is this feature gone forever in iOS 7? Or is missing and will be added later?

    This is now fixed. The remote has two modes. It starts with an interface similar to iTunes to play music or videos from your library, on the top right side it has a keyboard (mine appeared greyed out and I was unable to activate it, but now works), and an axis which brings the other remote everyone is familiar with to select the icons on the tv screen. The other remote now has a small keyboard icon on the top right which didn't used to have before. I don't know what I did to activate it, however, it won't bring the keyboard automatically like before. Another way to bring the keyboard, if yours still stuck, is to highlight any of the letters in the menu, and swipe from right to left, the highlight will cursor will hide, swipe again and that brings up the keyboard. How? Why? Still a mystery to me, but I happy I can use remote again.

  • When entering my phone serial number it shows "We're sorry, but this is a serial number for a product that has been replaced. Please check your information and re-enter your serial number. If your information is correct, you may need to contact us."

    Hi,
    I had purchased an iPhone 5 last month and got the OS updated to iOS 7, yesterday.
    The data cable was of very bad quality and when I took it to the retailer for replacement, they said that its not covered under the one year warranty.
    Secondly, I have also been experiencing network coverage issues with this phone. So, I decided to contact apple care through the web. When entering my serial number/IMEI it says, "We're sorry, but this is a serial number for a product that has been replaced. Please check your information and re-enter your serial number. If your information is correct, you may need to contact us."
    Does anybody have any idea what the reason behind this could be.
    - First time with iPhone and frustrated.
    Briju

    If you purchased the iPhone from Apple or an authorized Apple reseller,
    contact them for assistance. If you purchased elsewhere, go back
    to that retailer and get them to give you a new iPhone or your money
    back.
    If you have checked the serial number carefully and re-entered it
    and that gave you the same error message, contact Apple if purchased
    from Apple or authorized retailer; otherwise you have been scammed
    and need to pursue the matter with the business you obtained the
    iPhone from.

  • Invoice and Invoice amount in FI/CO When enter check number

    Hi  All,
       I have a requirement like this. We have custom t-code ZF04 ( FAST CASH ) to post payments to customer accounts. In this t-code, we have one field for Check#.  When they enter Check# number and click on 'SEARCH' icon i need to display list of invoices and amounts with in a check.
    I have no idea about tables,. Where to look? What tables do i need to look when enter check number, which returns invoice details.
    Please let me know ASAP....
    I appreciate your help!
    Thanks,
    Suneetha

    Hi,
    One question - Are you getting customer payment trrough <b>LOCKBOX</b>? If yes, then following are the tables
    Check tables <b>FEBKO</b> and <b>FEBEP.</b> The field is <b>FEBEP-CHECT</b> for check number. For this check number take <b>FEBEP-KUKEY</b>. With this KUKEY read table FEBRE. <b>FEBRE-VWEZW is the invoice number</b>.
    So, sequence is
    1. Put Check# --> FEBEP-CHECT  and get FEBEP-KUKEY
    2. Put FEBEP-KUKEY into --> FEBRE-KUKEY
    3. FEBRE-VWEZW is invoice no.
    If you are not using LOCKBOX, How are you getting customer payment? Let me know so i can give you exact answer.
    Regards,
    RS

  • Firefox freezes ONLY when entering a search with Google, must close FF via task manager in order to restart it - Windows 7 64 bit. Was not like this always.

    Sorry, cannot give further details. 4.0 runs smoothly with all websites I visit. Each time when entering a search term in Google I get all the results, but that's it - FF then freezes down completely.

    This can happen if you or an extension have modified network.http prefs.
    You can check the network.http.* prefs on the about:config page and reset all bold user set network.http prefs to the default value (network.http.proxy.keep-alive should be true) via the right-click context menu -> Reset.
