JWS not auto reloading servlets

Hi all,
We have several servlets that we have placed on the server (Solaris) with the iFS installation. This server is running the java web server 2.0 that came bundled with iFS. When we place the servlets under the ifs1.1/custom_classes directory and load them, they remain loaded in memory until the server is rebooted. This means that anytime we change one of the servlets, to get the newer version of the servlet to load, we must reboot the server. This becomes very time consuming during development.
The java web server documentation states that if you place servlets in the root/servlets directory they will be automatically reloaded upon a time stamp change. However, when we put the servlets in the .../ifs1.1/jws/servlets directory, they are not even found.
My question: why does the jws that comes bundled with iFS not find servlets placed in the servlet directory? Has anyone else who uses servlets to connect to iFS run into this problem?

I do not know if the browser can tell the difference because it depends on the DNS server to give redirect requests back to the browser. Actually it does, 301 or 302 vs new http get request.... anyway:
I found this add on: [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/refreshblocker/ Refresh Blocker] and [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/noredirect/?src=search No Redirect] which both let you control what sites to allow if there are only a few sites.
This would only be a temporary work around however.

I want to allow redirects but not auto-reloading

I'm running Yosemite on a Mac Air, with fully-updated everything.
I'd like to stop pages reloading without my permission. This is usually an issue for me on news sites.
In FF preferences, the option to allow or disallow auto-reloading is tied to the option to redirect. I can allow or disallow both, but not allow one and not the other.
The net effect is, my news sites aren't automatically refreshing (yay), but other sites get stuck when a page redirect comes up. I play Scrabble online; now I have to manually allow a redirect with every play. Same with following Twitter links.
Is there some way to kill off the auto-reloads while still allowing redirects? Maybe a whitelist for redirects, as a secondary option?

Premiere doesn't auto reload footage.

I am rendering out various 3d files from cinema 4D as a PNG image sequences and I am making small changes and re-rendering them. Premiere however does not auto reload them. I have to do the replace footage to clear the cache and bring them in.
I know After effects does this properly now, but is this a premiere bug/quirk/lack of functionality? Or Is this just me?

When I right-click on a file from the bin and select "Reveal in Finder," the correct file is shown. When double-click on a file, the source monitor shows the correct clip. The same goes for when a file is selected from the timeline. However, since the in and out points have been moved to a point after the clip is over, there is no video to display. So what I am wondering is: how did the in and out points get shifted, and if there is a way to fix it all at once, rather than manually changing each clip.

Version 6.0 sp2 is not able to reload servlets withour server restart

 I am unable to have WebLogic reload servlets without restarting the whole WebLogic
 application. It will work for a few days and then it stops. They only way I
 can fix the problem is if I reinstall all of WebLogic. How can I fix this?

When you are using the WLS Web Services stack on the server side, the web service implementation is expected to be a WLS Web Service (i.e. a web service built with the servicegen Ant task) that the WebServiceServlet tries to load, using the web-services.xml (i.e. the deployment descriptor that the WLS Web Services stack uses for web services). In your case, is this what you are trying to do? In other words:
1. Do you have a web service that was built using one of the Web Services tool Ant tasks that come with WLS 8.1 (i.e. servicegen), which is attempting to use Spring beans inside the web service implementation?
2. If so, are the web.xml and webservices-servlet.xml files you cited in your post, inside the WEB-INF directory of the .war, of the .ear built using the Ant task? You would have had to put these in there manually, if so.
3. Assuming that you've done this, are all the Spring-related and other .jar files the web service implementation needs, in the WEB-INF/lib directory? Again, you would have had to put these in there manually, if they are.
If you have already done all of these, and it still doesn't work, you might want to try what Thomas Czarniecki did:

Safari 5.1 strange auto-reloading behavior for tabs in the background

hi guys.
I have been encountering this strange behavior recently. I had thought it could be something wrong with my system, until yesterday i upgraded my Safari for Windows to the v.5.1 on a Windows XP laptop, and found the same issue. Now i guess I can be quite certain this is a safari issue.
System info:
1. Macbook Pro 17", OSX 10.6.8, 64bit boot (i have 8GB RAM).
2. Safari (Mac) is the lastest version (as updated by the Auto update), run in the default 64bit mode.
3. The windows machine is an old Thinkpad T60 with Windows XP Pro SP3. The Safari for windows is Safari 5.1 (7534.50), also updated by auto update.
4. I have not installed any Safari extensions/plugs that feature an auto-reloading -- as such behavior was never seen before i upgrade to Safari 5.1
Since i mostly work on mac the mac has been kept most updated. But the windows machine which i use now and then, i don't update everything very frequently. And the earlier Safari 5.0 worked fine without the current issue.
Symptoms
1. Let's say I have 1 Safari window open with 5 tabs, and I have been working on the 4th tab for a while, and left the other 4 tabs "idling" in the background.
2. And then i want to switch to another tab: click on that tab, and that tab will come to the foreground while being automatically refreshed.
3. It looks to me this behavior happens after the inactive tabs have been idling longer than a certain period of time - then if you switch to them, they will be switched to and in the same time auto-reloaded. But I still don't know how long it needs for the "idling" before an auto-reloading "threshold" is triggered.
4. In the beginning this was just on the Mac Safari (and i hadn't updated safari on the windows). But after I updated safari for WIN yesterday, i found the same behavior today.
5. I checked all the Preferences settings and didnt find any option that indicates this behaviors.
Guys. any ideas? anyone have the same trouble? Thanks a lot guys. This is really annoying.

The weird thing is... after i tried to uninstall and re-install a few apps the "auto-loading" behavior disappeared ... guess something was interfereing with safari 5.1...
But thanks for recommending Glims. I took a quick look at the website and it looks great. will do some more research before i start using it. Thanks for the recomm!

Reloadable Servlet Classpath & JSP

Is there any way to have the reloadable servlet classpath
 (weblogic.httpd.servlet.classpath) passed to JSP compiler? I will explain
 my problem as this may help you understand the question. I have my
 reloadable servlet classpath configure like this:
 weblogic.httpd.servlet.classpath=c:\weblogic\myserver\servlets. In addition
 to Servlets, this directory contains a number of JavaBeans that are used by
 my JSP pages. When WebLogic attempts to compile the JSP file, I receive
 errors because the compiler can't find the beans located in my
 weblogic.httpd.servlet.classpath. I can fix the problem by clearing the
 weblogic.httpd.servlet.classpath property and putting this directory in the
 system classpath. However, when I do this I need to stop and restart the
 WebLogic server everytime I change a servlet or bean.
 I've used both IBM WebSphere and J/Run. Both of these products feed the
 reloadable servlet classpath to the JSP compiler.

 I think they might- but only if they are in the servlet classpath (possibly the
 weblogic.class.path too).
 Even so, the reason the servlets and JSP's reload is because the JPSServlet and
 servlet engine checks to see the servlet code or JSP code is new. This doesn't
 happen with your beans, so they ~probably~ won't get reloaded.

Is it possible to disable auto reloading, permanently, for one specific URL?

msnbc.com is supposed to auto-reload its home page every however often, 30 minutes I think. But the reload never stops, probably because of my AdBlock settings for the site. I want to permanently stop msnbc.com from reloading. I've searched thoroughly with many keywords, and though I've found many extensions that will reload pages or set auto-reload intervals, I can't find anything that *stops* auto-reload. I'd appreciate any help.

Not sure if I completely understand your dilema. I don't know of any way to pause a FMR, however, I may be able to help with plan B. I have a widget called Repo Playbar that allows you to reposition the playbar AND show/hide any playbar buttons, including the play/pause button. Have a look here.

Not auto-synching Podcasts

I manually sync my music on iTunes to my iPod touch and I have the Podcast setting to sync the last 3 episodes. However when I plug the iPod in I have to manually sync the Podcasts as well. Shouldn't they auto-sync when the iPod is plugged in?

Try the power widget included in Android and turn on to Auto Sync and see if everything working via PUSH. If emails still not auto syncing try to reset the phone to the original factory settings and then reload apps.

GR/IR not auto clear in system

GR/IR not auto clear in system
Normally every week end the system automatically clears the open items in f.13, But this time it has not clear the open items
What could be the reason the system not to clear open items on the week end.
So that's the reason the user manually cleared the open items
- User has performed F.13 on 26th of Oct but system didn't auto clear the open items.
- Those documents are posted prior to 26th of Oct and user would like to know what cause to incident.
Please suggest me what should be the reason to come out of this issue.

I trying to auto clear fbl3n open items in f.13, every week end the system defaultly auto clears all the open items in the system but last weekend it has not been done that job.
Suggest me what should be the reason for the above issue.
And i checked in OB74 for the G/L a/c 123456 they have configured the below thing

Reporting Services Webpart - web part does not auto render consistantly

We are on SharePoint 2010 (integrated with Reporting Services)- on several sites we have added the Reporting Services Web Part and with a saved parameter. The behavior of this web part is not consistent. There are times when I open up a site
and the web part will auto render the report. 5 minutes later I can go into the same site, and the web part does not auto render the report. I have to do edit page, or close and re-open the web site. Has anyone experienced this type of behavior.
I've looked for assistance with this issue on-line cannot find anything that specifically addresses this issue.

If the parameters have default values in the report, then the report can be rendered automatically.
For this issue, I recommend to verify the things below:
Does this issue occur when you open the page with the web part in a new tab in the browser or go back to the previous opened tab?
Does this issue occur in the server side or client side?
Please add the site to trusted sites in Internet Explorer to see how it works.
Please change another browser to see how it works.
For narrowing down the issue scope, please test with another report and compare the results.

Can not make XSQL servlet running under Jrun 3.1! need help

I tried to run Oracle XSQL servlet under JRun 3.1,I did servlet mapping, such as

I set classpath for XSQL related library such as oraclexsql.jar, xmlparserv2.jar,etc, I believe everything is setup correctly, however when I invoke .xsql page, I did not get data instead of getting sql text!, here is my xsql file content:

What I got when I invoked this page is reports_generation.getReportList(?)!!
It seems that JRun 3.1 did not understand xsql syntax, it means it can not find XSQL servlet related libraries, come on, I did set classpath.
Does anyone has this experience to help me out? Highly appreicate you in advance.

Document not auto cleared after performing FF67

Hi all,
firstly i would like to acknowledge that i'm using version 4.7.
after performing FF67, bank recon document generated in main bank & clearing bank GL accounts. But it is not auto clear in the clearing bank GL account. the treatment is as post GL account & manual clear.
after checking:-
1. trans type ABC using int. algorithm 15 - use assignment field to clear.
2. posting type in posting rule is 4 - clear debit GL account
in FF67 screen variant, assignment field entered the same as assignment value in clearing bank account. by right, the documents will clear off automatically.
anyone can assist what else that i miss out?

we can perform manual clearing or F.13, but the pupose of having such posting rule and posting type is to minimize steps of clearing.
by right, once ff67 posted, the clearing bank gl account will get cleared.

Quota arrangement - winning contract is not auto assign in SC

My Problem: Winning contract is not auto assign to Shopping cart
I created a Quota Arrangement (QA). It contains 2
contracts, for example in line item 1, contain Contract with Supplier
'A', with target percentage of 60%. In line item 2, contain Contract with
Supplier 'B', with target percentage of 40%. I did not specify any quotabase quantity.
For your info, the contract for Supplier 'A" is a Purchasing Contract,
with target value of 80 (currency Malaysian Ringgit). Contract for
Supplier 'B' has target value of 20 (currency Malaysian Ringgit). When Icreate a Shopping Cart, with quantity 5 (each-EA) and price per unit is

(Malaysian Ringgit), total is MYR10. When I go to Source of Supply tab,
the system showed 2 suppliers from the 2 contracts. It did not
automatically assigned to the winning contract. We still have to choose
which contract to be assigned. I created another SC after that until theContract exceeded quantity, but the system does not proposed winning
contract automatically. Please help.

TS1398 Since I upgraded to iOS 7.0.2 my phone will not auto-connect to the home WiFi network.

I upgraded my iPhone 4S to iOS 7.0.2 and now my phone will not auto-connect to the home wifi network. Each time I leave and return to within range of the network I have to remember to manually connect, otherwise it continues to use 4G for data. The credentials are saved (all I have to do is tap it to connect) but just won't happen automatically any more.
Is anyone else seeing this problem?

Tried the reset multiple times. No go. Before the IOS 7.0,2 update my devices were connecting to home WIFI eventually.
