  • [K9NU Neo] Temperature

    Hellow again
I have al little problem, I'de like to know the temperatures of my pc, but when I use Everest (or speedfan) only the temperatures of my 2 HD and 7600gt show up
I have K9NU Neo motherboard, can it be something that I connected wrong or is it a driver/software related problem?
or does my motherbord even have sensors for my CPU?
    Friendly Regards

K9NU use the ULI M1697 chipset (ULI was bought up by nvidia not so long ago) I don't think nTune/monitor works on that .
Doesn't MSI provide hw monitor in corecenter (besides whats in BIOS) thats compatible with it ..

  • K9NU Neo-V standby S3?

I'm wondering if BIOS v1.9 for K9NU board supports S3 standby mode?
The only option I see is for S1.
Is this a limitation in the board, the driver, or the operator ?
    Any workarounds?

    Hi Gents,
Flashed the BIOS with the forum USB flashing tool.  (used BIOS v1.9 freshly d'ld from MSI site).
    Unplugged the PSU.
Cleared the CMOS via the jbat jumper.
    Returned jumper to pins 1&2.
    Rebooted.
Chose F1 when prompted at "no checksum".
    Loaded optimized defaults. Reboot.
Reset time & date in BIOS.
    Checked for standby state.
    S1/POS selected. Only option available.
Tried pgup/dn, +/-, cursor keys to navigate.
    No luck.
    Well done

Can I connect my iPad mini to a data projector using a lightning to 30-pin adapter connected to a 30-pin to VGA connector? Or will this only work with a lightning to VGA connector?

The lightning to 30 pin adapter does not support video as per the item description in the Apple online store:
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD823ZM/A/lightning-to-30-pin-adapter
This adapter lets you connect devices with a Lightning connector to many of your 30-pin accessories.* Supports analog audio output, USB audio, as well as syncing and charging. Video output not supported.
You will need to the Lightning to VGA adapter directly
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD825ZM/A/lightning-to-vga-adapter?fnode=3a
Or the Lightning Digital AV Adapter

If the projector supports HDMI input.

Hmm, if the mobo supports all the other X2's, why wouldn't it support that one too. Maybe they've just not tested that cpu yet or sth..
And obviously they haven't, because the 3600+ X2 will be released in the 4th quarter of 2006, so the test CPU's haven't even got to the MSI testers yet, I think.

  • HELP ! 875P Neo JAUD1 for front Audio with Thermaltake XASER III

I am trying to connect my new Thermalake case V2000A (the aluminium tower with 7 FANs) front (well top) audio connetors to JAUD1 on the motherboard (875P Neo FiS2R)
The XASER III wires say :
EAR L jumped with EAR L (Case manual says connect two "EAR L" to "BLINE_OUT_L" and "Line out_L" on motherboard)
EAR R jumped with EAR R (Case manual says connect two "EAR R" to "BLINE_OUT_R" and "Line out_R" on motherboard)
GND (Case manual says connect to "GROUND" or "AGND" on motherboard)
MIC IN (Case manual says connect to "MIC INPUT" or "MIC 2" on motherboard)
MIC VCC (Case manual says connect to "MIC POWER" or "MICPWR" on motherboard)
The JAUD1 connector on the motherboard comes with TWO green jumpers out of factory. One jumper shorting pins 9 & 10 and the other jumper shorting pins 5 & 6.
Page 2-25 of the motherboard manual says:
Pin 1 - AUD_MIC Front Panel Microphone input signal
Pin 2 - AUD_GND Ground used by analog Audio Circuits
    Pin 3 - AUD_MIC_BIAS Microphone Power
Pin 4 - AUD_VCC Filtered +5V used by analog audio circuits
Pin 5 - AUD_FPOUT_R Right Channel audio signal to front panel
Pin 6 - AUD_RET_R Right channel audio signal return from front panel
pin 7 - HP_ON Reserved for future use to control headphone amplifier
pin 8 - KEY No pin
pin 9 - AUD_FPOUT_L Left channel audio signal to front panel
pin 10 - AUD_RET_L Left channel audio signal return from front panel
    Now, I assume :
Case "MIC VCC" should go on Pin 3 (or maybe Pin 4 ?)
Case "MIC IN"    should go on Pin 1
Case "GND"       should go on Pin 2
Case "EAR R"     should go on Pins 5 & 6 (I need to REMOVE the green jumper ?)
Case "EAR L"      should go on Pins 9 & 10 (I need to REMOVE the green jumper ?)
    Thanks for all help !

I have yet to put the PCI cards inside but so far I was able to reach that end corner of the motherboard with the case top sound cables.
As soon as I get answers on this Forum to my queries from more knowledged people about the right cabling (this and other posts on firewire and something else), I will then be able to finish all connections and finally place also the PCI cards and the video card and will let you know if it all went ok without the sound case cable stretching too much.
    Thanks.

  • Remote Desktop Connection 8.1 cannot pin remoteapps to taskbar?

    Hi,
I recently applied kb2830477 and related patches to a windows 7 enterprise node. I also updated a Windows 8 pro node to 8.1.  I'm enjoying the speed and other enhancements.  There are still problems, i.e. Outlook 2010 and 2013 toast and sound don't
    work.
We run RDS remote apps on production 2008 r2 and distribute via .msi files; those pin to the taskbar fine.  Unfortunately the newer remote applications distributed via Control Panel > Remote app and desktop connections won't pin to the taskbar, or
at least I can't figure out how.
On Win/7 I used to drag and drop 2012 r2 remote apps from the All programs > Remote app and desktop connections to the taskbar, or alternatively send to desktop, then drag that shortcut to the taskbar.  that doesn't work, I get a red-lined circle
when I hover over the taskbar.
On Win/8 I used to display all apps, then right-click and choose Pin to Taskbar; that option is no longer available.
Any thoughts?  These apps still launch from the desktop, puzzled as to why they won't pin to the taskbar for easy access.
    Best,
    S'

    Hi,
    Thank you for your comment.
    Just for confirmation.
When you applied KB 2830477 on your client Windows 7 system, there is prerequisites which must be installed and after that you need to install the original KB. Please check that you have installed that, because on RDC 8.1 it must work. If possible try to reinstall
by restarting system and check the result.
    Prerequisites:
To apply this update, you must be running Windows 7 SP1. Additionally, the following updates must be installed:
2574819: An update is available that adds support for DTLS in Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1
2857650:Update that improves the RemoteApp and Desktop Connections features is available for Windows 7
Update for RemoteApp and Desktop Connections feature is available for Windows

  • Connecting to  a 15-pin XGA monitor

I have a PowerBook G4 12in. 867MHz and want to use it with my old radius PrecisionView 21 monitor (XGA, 1024x768). The monitor has both serial and signal ports, the only one I've ever used is the 15-pin VGA (three rows of pins). I see my PowerBook has a video port labelled "Video outout port" but I do not know what kind of plug/connector it is and therefore cannot find out if there is an adaptor or cable that works with both this port and the VGA port on my monitor. A very helpful forum member referred to the port on the PowerBook as a "dense connector," but my searches yielded nothing.
Does anyone out there have experience with this?
    PowerBook G4 12in. 867MHz   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

    Hi PaskentaGreen,
Welcome to the Apple discussion boards!
The port on the side of your Powerbook G4 is a Mini-VGA port. Your Powerbook should have come with a cable to convert that to regular VGA, but if your bought it second hand, it may not have. The mini-VGA cable should be about $30.. you can then plug your monitor in to that with the normal VGA cable you used on a PC. Make sure you get the mini-VGA and not mini-DVI that some later powerbook g4 12 inches required.
The serial port (round?) is just for factory configuration and service and does not need to be connected.

  • Cannot re-boot after enabling K8T Neo LAN Connection

I've tried to enable the K8T Neo LAN controller in BIOS so that I can connect a Wireless Router to my PC. However, when I do this, the PC will not boot and I have to disable the LAN controller.
On booting-up the BIOS seems to be looking for an ethernet controller and a message states that either the device is not plugged in or the cable is faulty ! Why should enabling the onboard LAN controller affect the device the BIOS boots from ?
Can I plug a Wireless Router directly into the RJ45 LAN connection on the K8T Neo and if so, how ?
    Thankyou for any helpful advice

Check to make sure you are not set to boot from network. Unfortunately I can't remember the exact name or where it is located, but it may help.

as you say: a WIRELESS router is WIRELESS, how could you plugin a cable from a wireles router. or does it also have rj45 conectors?
if you want to use the wirreles function, you will need to buy a wirrles lan adapter (usb) for your pc
I have never seen a wireless router without rj45 connectors. (WAP yes, router no).

  • No internet connection / Doesn't accept PIN code on reboot

Good morning. I own  a brand-new (bought last week) Z1 compact running on Android 4.4.2. Until yesterday evening everything was fine. Then I connected it to the recharging station, to find this morning that the internet connection was lost. As I didn't find any mistake in the settings, and from PC experiences, I shut down and restarted the phone. On reboot it asked for the PIN code. I keyed in the code given to me by the vendor (Deutsche Telekom) and which I hadn't changed. The phone replied that the code was wrong and allowed me only two more tries. Before doing this I guessed it might be better to ask the experts. I am sure that no one manipulated the phone last night. So what should I do, can you please help me? I'm a bit at a loss. Thank you in advance.

In these situations the only thing you can do is perform a system repair which will factory reset your device and also means that any and all data will be erased - Use either PCC or SUS found here - For PCC unplug your phone from the Pc and fully switch it off - Start PCC select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue select Repair my phone/tablet and follow the instructions - Remember that when prompted hold volume down and connect your USB cable - Your phone should be switched off - In some circumstances you may need to perform this twice as the 1st time will install the Flash driver

  • K9NU-Neo Prob with Lan

I recently reinstalled windows. After windows installed, I began loading drivers. I then realized I had the CD's for another board.  I downloaded the drivers from MSIs website onto another machine and transferred them.  I got all the drivers loaded except the LAN driver.  I found it under Drivers as "M1697_LAN_V31".  After I decompressed it, I couldn't figure out how to install it.  I was looking for some kind of executable file, but there is none that I can find.  As of now, the K9NU machine won't connect to the internet.  Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong??

extract files to some folder, then go to device manager select device with question mark and click update driver, select manual and point to the extracted folder.

  • 865 pe neo 3 connecting case usb ports

does anybody know if this mobo support the connection of case usb ports except the usb ports that  msi offers in her box ?
if yes where do i connect the pins ?
    thanks

A word of advice about front USB case ports, many cases seem to have an extra wire that can cause problems. If your case harness, USB connector block has this extra wire, remove or cut it. If the wires are separate, do not attach that wire to the #10 pin on the JUSB2 header on the MOBO. Below is a response I've given concerning this issue:
    Quote from: Frankeputer
Check to see if there is a wire running from your Front USB ports to the #10 slot of your USB block which connects to the motherboard header.
USB connector block layout which corresponds to the pin layout on boards with the Intel spec for USB. Do not cut the pin on the MOBO. You are removing/cutting the wire to the connector block from the case.
    2 4 6 8 10(this wire, #10, not needed)
    1 3 5 7 9(filled/key)
If you find a wire leading to the #10 spot on the block, remove that wire. My block has tabs so that you can pull the wire out, or you could snip/cut the wire leading to that position--if you cut the wire, be careful to cut the correct one and cut it in such a way that it may be repaired if you make a mistake.  Make sure you wrap the wire, the exposed end/s, you remove/cut with electrical tape so as not to accidentally cause a short. I actually folded the wire back and wrapped it.
2 posts to read--Here and Here.
This seems to be a common issue involving many different case manufacturers. I don't know how it applies to other MOBO manufacturers, but in these forums it is not limited to a specific MSI model or supported chipset(Intel or AMD).

  • K9NU NEO-V vista sleep problem

I have recently build a HTPC with the K9NU motherboard. Everything went fine, and the motherboard is a great bargain, however there is one problem :
Sleep mode does not function correctly, only the harddisks spin down but the cpu and case fans continue spinning. My other pc with asrock motherboard switches off everything. I checked everything :
    - Latest bios
    - "away mode" is switched off
    - Reinstalled vista fresh
    - Graphic card should not be a problem (ati x1600pro, same as other machine)
I have searched the net and this forum, but the k9nu seems to be a very rare motherboard and i could not find anything about problems with the sleep (s3) mode under vista.  Hibernate works, but sleep would be ideal as the pc is used as a HTPC and switch on time should be minimal.
    Thanks for any help
