Kanban Status change-No GR to Receiving Location of Prod Version.

Hello Folks,
When I change the status from Empty to Full with PK13N /PK21 for Kanban managed materials, the system triggers the 131 movement type but posts the finished stock into issuing location of the production version from material master. I checked all the config and everything looks good to me. How do I post the stock to receiving location of production version? We do not want to use MFBF and we want to use the PKRF21 to turn the signals and backflushing should happen automatically.

To Post the stock to receiving location:
change the sloc in MRP area configuration to the receiving storage location.. Now it should take location specified in MRP as component issue location in the produciton order.
OR
1.If you are miaintaining MRP Group in MMR , then goto OPPR-Plant code and MRP group -Check in Production Storage Loaction Selection -Check wether you have miantained 1 or 2
2.SPRO - IMG - Material management - Inventory Management and Physical Inventory - Stock Determination - Define Strategies for Stock Determination-Check whether you have aintain strategy for stock determination with priority wised storage location numbers .Based on this system first check stock availability in the first priority storage location. If stock is there, then system will pick. Other wise , it will go for the second priority storage location.
Backflush of Kanban:
Backflush and goods receipt are linked. Here, the system automatically posts the goods receipt and sets the status to FULL in the background when the backflush is saved.
If the goods receipt is posted before the backflush, the system sets the kanban status to FULL, but the backflush is not carried out automatically.

Dear all,
I would like to know, can we control the GR through transactions for kanban production orders? I mean, when i confirm production order through CO15 transaction, i should do confirmation, auto GR (Using control key) and kanban status change.
But when i want to force kanban status change through "PK31", GR should not happen for the production order.
In this case i am converting a In Process Kanban status to Full. Sequence is from 3 to 5.
If anyone knows of kanban status change control through trnasactions, please let me know.

REM Prod Version: How to hide/disable Storage Location fields

Hi,
We are using REM.
For Issue storage locations, we are maitaining str location in BOM/MRP2 View.
For Receving Str locatiom, we are maitaining str location in MRP2 View.
Similarly, for REM assemblies, system provides str locations fields in Production Version.
Requst to guide on following points:
1. What is the application and priority of Strorage locations in Prod Version (PV)?
2. Can the Str locations in PV be hidden/disabled?

Kanban status not changed

Hi everybody,
I have a strange case :
I have a Kanban cycle linked to a scheduling agreement for external procurement.
In PK13N I am updating the Kanban status to Empty. The bin is then red and it gives me a JIT call number.
But when I am refreshing, the bin turn back to "wait" status and if I try to display JIT call in PJ03 the systems tell me that call is not existing (Summarized JIT call 1037 does not exist).
However, each time I test it, JIT call number is incremented.
I do not understand what is happening. In my precedent tests it was working fine...
Have somebody already seen this behaviour ?

Problem due to somebody modifying the system

Singleton pattern, scheduled receive location and suspended orchestrations

Hello,
In our project we have several orchestrations that are triggered every minute with the Scheduler Adapter (business requirement is near real-time).
Each of these orchestration must have only 1 instance running at the same time, so we have implemented the singleton pattern. We followed a design like this one: https://fehlberg.wordpress.com/2008/06/06/biztalk-singleton-orchestration-design/
But we end up having suspended orchestrations with the error "The instance completed without consuming all of its messages. The instance and its unconsumed messages have been suspended."
I know it's a risk with this pattern. I thought it would happen only when the instance would run in more than 1 min (because the scheduler adapter is sending a file every minute).
But it happens even with some instances running in about 15sec, so there is something I don't understand, here is an example:
Here we can see that the TransferRegion orchestration started at 10:26:00 (which is expected) and failed.
When I open the orchestration debugger, the time is different, the orchestration is shown starting at 10:26:44 (44 sec later):
And the orchestration ended at 10:27:00:453.
The message not consumed that caused the error has been triggered at 10:27:00.
So I understand that the message arrived just after the listen shape but before the orchestration ends, but I don't understand why the orchestration started 44 sec after is was supposed to ...
Any idea? I'm kind of clueless for now ...

So, are these 8 Orchestrations actually processing messages or are they doing some other work every minute or so?
If they're not processing actual messages, maybe a Windows Service or job scheduled by the SQL Agent or Windows Scheduler would be more...appropriate. We all love BizTalk, but some parts of the stack do some things better.
If they are processing messages or doing some genuine BPI type work, calling services, transformations etc., then maybe a Singleton+Scheduled Task is not the best solution.
I'm assuming the actual requirement is the process must run with no less than 1 minute between executions, but if an execution takes >1 min, don't overlap. An internal 1 min timer would probably work very well, but you still have the problem of
activating and deactivating the Orchestration. You'd basically have to build some control infrastructure similar to the EDI Batching Service.
Here's a completely different suggestion:
SQL Table that maintains the state of each process, say Active or Complete.
Poll every 15 seconds a Stored Procedure that tests the status and returns an activation message when that process shows Complete. It would flip it to Active at the same time.
Orchestration runs and the last shape sends a message to change the status to Complete.
Rinse Repeat. No long running Orchestrations, Singletons, Correlations, etc...

We have 8 independent orchestrations. Each of them is triggered by different scheduled receive location.
The orchestrations then process messages (calling stored procedures, mapping and calling web services).
You are right for the requirement. I tried to deactivate the receive location at the beginning of the process and restart it at the end, but I ran into some weird errors on the SSO DB and others like "Could not retrieve transport type data for Receive
Location 'Trigger_xxxxx_SCHEDULE' from config store. The transaction associated with the current connection has completed but has not been disposed. The transaction must be disposed before the connection can be used to execute SQL statements."

Picking status change in Outbound delivery

I have to create a start condition in PPF actions, whihc is nothing but BADI... whihc will trigger when the Pcikinf status is changed....

In the BADI, you can get reference to Delivey Object
lo_dlv_ppf TYPE REF TO /scdl/cl_dlv_ppf.
lo_prd                TYPE REF TO /scwm/cl_dlv_management_prd.
get delivery reference
lo_dlv_ppf ?= io_context->appl.
Get the attributes DOCID, the find the status of the documents accordingly.
Now get the instance of the Delivery management:
lo_prd = /scwm/cl_dlv_management_prd=>get_instance( ).
Then read Delivery header and items using the below method based on DOCID:
APPEND is_docid TO lt_docid.
ls_include_data-HEAD_PARTYLOC = abap_true.
ls_include_data-HEAD_DATE      = abap_true.
ls_include_data-HEAD_TRANSPORT = abap_true.
ls_include_data-ITEM_DATE      = abap_true.

I have checked the drive status via CLI and all drives show OK, both physical & logical
Is there anywhere you can check what is causing this event and is it merely advising of a potential drive failure

Modern drives have embedded monitoring. Whilst the disk hasn't failed, something internally is telling the embedded monitoring that it may soon fail - it's running a little hot, having excessive write errors, latency is drifting up... something subtle is going wrong.
It could be caused by a firmware error... but I'd take it at face value.
It might have failed by the time you read this, or it might work fine for another 20 years.
Either way - when I was a server admin I would get any disk with a predictive failure swapped out immediately. No point waiting for it to fail - even on a RAID system when a disk fails although you don't lose data you have your trousers down as a coincidental second failure would ruin your day!

BizTalk AS2 receive location (500.0 error) reported by eternal party when trying to reach BizTalk 2010.

We BizTalk 2010 server with which we are trying to connect one of our customer’s bank for secure communication.
Our UAT box has been done with a successful test connection with that bank however when we move to production server, whenever the Bank try to send any simple .txt file via AS2 protocol, we do not receive the file and bank receive an error following

I have compared the UAT and Production servers AS2 receive URL configurations and these are completely alike.
Whenever I try browsing the virtual directory setup for AS2 from IIS 7.0 or from
internet explorer with hostname and virtual directory, I get 500.0 internal error which following post says is absolutely fine, this should not be a problem.

TFS 2012 Update 4 - Build Alert - "A build controller or agent's status changes" doesn't work correctly

We are running TFS2012 Update 4 and have set up some build alerts. The alert we have set up is "A build controller or agent's status changes". When this alert is first set up the default filters which are included are for fields "Team
Project" and "Status". However through much testing we have discovered that when either of these fields are included as a filter the alert doesn't work. When other fields are used in the filter the alert works fine (as long
as neither of the stated fields are included), indeed if all alert filters are removed then the alert also works successfully. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there an issue with the fields "Team Project" and "Status"?

Hi Experts, I configured and triggered a BPC e-mail notification for Work Status change. However, there are few areas I would like to improve on. Please help. A sample notification message is attached below. Areas highlighted in red are the areas I would like to improve on.

The periodic scripts or launchd would have to send the email. I don't think you have to do anything to send mail, just receive it, you can check that from the command line:
mail [email protected]
When you finish your message put a period on a blank line and hit return, that indiecates the end of the message.
The one butt biter is that Apple puts a .forward file in all home directories that says to direct all mail to /dev/null , essentially it sends it to a black hole. You'll need to edit this file and put in your email address (if you want the email to go there) or the mails (should) wait for the user to run the mail command to read their messages.
The mail command has a fairly extensive man page:

MIGO for updating Kanban Status & quantity

Hi Experts,
The requirement is to update the Qty & Status during POSTing in MIGO if the material is Kanban managed.
Requirement :
Scrapping using 551/ 552 should accordingly increase/ decrease the Kanban Qty and modify the status (visible in PK31 and PKPS table)
Approach:
1. Implemented BADI "MB_MIGO_BADI" & called the FM to update Kanban status & Qty. But got the error of COMMIT_IN_POSTING.
2. Used EXIT_SAPMM07M_001 to call FM "BAPI_KANBANCC_WITHDRAWQUANTITY" but still the same error
3. Implemented BADI "MB_DOCUMENT_BADI" but faced the same error.
Any pointers to user-exit/badi which would help to fulfill the above requirement.
Also let me know, if the approach should be changed.

This seems to be a permission issue.
Makesure account used in the application pool is a member of the BizTalk Isolated Host Users group.
Also its working considering either make the ASPNET user account a member of your BizTalk Isolated Host Users group to make sure it has access to the biztalk databases (or change the asp.net services to run under a different account, which would need
to be done from the framework's core .config files)

It seems to depend on a variety of different things.
Verizon appears to be going by the process time of orders, and not the order time of orders. Your process time will be the timestamp on your confirmation email.
It also depends on which model, GB, and color you ordered. The 6+ were in high demand and low supply.
It also depends on which warehouse (order location) your order was being processed through. Verizon reps have told me that some warehouses have more of certain phones than others, and if your order went to a warehouse that doesn't have enough of that particular phone then you are SOL and will have to back for a backdated order.
There is a possibility you will get it, but if you ordered any of the 6+ models, then it is unlikely.

Create receive location refer to web service

I have a web service, that contains some methods such as SubmitOrder, TransferOrder, SynchOrder.
Now I want create a receive location refer to this web service and start process biztalk application (Orchestration) when the TransferOrder method are invoked (called by SoapUI). Anyone please help me how to do it?

If I understand it correctly you have following situation –
Problem- You have a web service e.g. OrderProcessing which has following methods
SubmitOrder
TransferOrder
SyncOrder
And you have a BizTalk Orchestration say. TransferOrderOrch, Now you want to process a message by this orchestration when your webservice’s TransferOrder method is invoked. ?
In summary you want to connect /integrate your webservice to this BizTalk process?
Solution-
1-
Either you can expose your TransferOrderOrch orchestration as a WCF service ( if you are using BizTalk 2010 onwards or as a web service) and then consume this web service to your OrderProcessing Orchestration.
This will be loosely coupled and you can write maps to perform any type of message
translation at receive side suing a pipeline or BizTalk Map.
You can refer following articles to understand how to expose orchestration as web services

Or expose your TransferOrderOrch with same signature as your TransferOrder method has , and ask your consumers to use this. This may require significant changes at your Orderprocessing Web Service end, it all depends upon type of messages and how
many consumers are already consuming your service.
This is better approach in my opinion because this will reduce some latency as you are directly submitting messages to the BizTalk isolated host service layer.

What are the causes for this error ?
I manage to generate the outbound transaction. When the recipient has received and approve, it shows an error under - Transaction Status and in the outbound side it shows Batch Status as Error.
Can some one help to to find out the way to fix it.
