Keyboard and mouse (connect to keyboard) no respone?

sometime the keyboard and mouse doesn't respone after get back from sleep. does anyone encounter similar problem?

Do a search on "keyboard" in this forum, and I think you'll find that you are far from alone. This problem is well documented. Apple is aware, and working on a fix, but so far none has been made available.
The best you can do for now is set your machine to never sleep, and set the hard drive to never sleep (you can sleep the monitor as you see fit). This seems to avoid the problem. Otherwise, you are faced with replugging the device whenever it goes dead.
Also, make sure you plug the mouse into the machine and not the keyboard. This will fix the mouse problems. It's pretty much an issue with the keyboards.

  • Bluetooth keyboard and mouse connectivity problems

I have an Apple bluetooth keyboard and Mighty Mouse connected to my Macbook Pro 13", running ML 10.8.1.
The keyboard and mouse will constantly disconnect and re-connect on their own every few minutes. I'll see the "connection lost" notification, and then shortly after the "connected" notification. Also, even when the keyboard is connected, it often becomes unresponsive and/or strange things happen, such as the special characters menu appearing above the cursor (which I believe there is a keyboard shortcut to invoke, but I'm not doing that; it appears on its own).
    This never happened in Lion.
Any idea what's happening and how to fix it?

  • Problems keeping bluetooth keyboard and mouse connected

When I upgraded to IOS Lion, I started having problems with my BlueTooth Mouse and Keyboard losing the connections multiple times a day - over a year ago I guess.  I use an Intel iMac and run a home office for an online business.  So I am on the computer all day!  I tried every fix I could find within the Apple Support Community.  I finally reloaded a fresh copy of Lion from a thumb drive as a last resort.  Whiped the whole system.
I am now having the same problem and it takes about 3-5 minutes to get the keyboard to connect every morning now when I wake it from sleep.  I have a Macally BTKEY BlueTooth keyboard, so I can have the 10-key.  I have the magic mouse that came with the iMac.
Does anyone have a better solution or should I just take it to the Genius bar at this point.  The problem is I use it to run my on-line business and it is problematic to be without.  Thank you in advance!

Have you tried making your Bluetooth devices favourites? Doesn't always fix things, but it did for me when I was having regular drop outs with the Magic Mouse.

  • Wireless Keyboard and Mouse connection lost when computer wakes up

Every time my computer wakes up I get the message "Connection Lost" referring to the mouse (Mighty Mouse) and keyboard. I have to wait a couple of seconds for them to start working. I tried to remove them from the list of Bluetooth devices and then pair them again, but had no success. It's pretty annoying to have this happening everytime the computer wakes up.
Is anybody else experiencing this? Any suggestions?
    Thanks.
    richard

I have this issue as well, and havn't found a sufficient answer on the forums as of yet.
I can pair my mouse every day, and it will work fine, until I leave it at night when my computer shuts down. When I return in the morning I have no mouse, and have to go back to the bluetooth setup wizard and re-pair the mouse by turning it off then on again. I can't even just come in and turn the mouse off and on and have it work. I have to actually go through the setup wizard.
I CAN however, go to the bluetooth preferences, click on the mouse, and choose "connect" when it is turned off, then turn it on and it will connect without having to re-pair, but this is just as tedious and annoying as the whole setup process.
It's so annoying to have to have a wired mouse plugged in just so I can pair my wireless mouse every morning. Kind of defeats the purpose of a wireless mouse.
When I orginally bought the mouse and keyboard I had to return the original mouse because it wouldn't hold a connection even when I was using it. Obviously these wireless mice of Apple's need some more TLC in the engineering dept.

  • Apple keyboard and mouse connection problems with windows 7

    Hello everyone,
I just completed the installation of windows 7 home premium on my bootcamp partition, and even though in the beginning my keyboard worked properly after installing some windows updates it stopped working.
So, i tried to reinstall the specific bootcamp drivers(as described in installation guide), I also tried repair drivers but the problem continues!
Has anyone experienced something like this ? Could you advise me something?
    Thank you!

    Hi lolarennt,
Have just done the same as you on the same system.  It took over 12 hours of mucking around. Had lots of problems with the black screen issue, mouse not working, failing to load error message 0x80070071 ( all this from memory... saw it a few times LOL).  The bottom line was I started up in Mac version and using disk utility repaired permissions and then started a fresh and sixth install.  To cut a long story short,  this fixed my installing issues. My mouse didn't work initially, an issue with  "DPInst.exe" something to do with the 64 bit install.  I then updated the win7 programme using the update windows function and things now work fine.  Granted the mouse does take a short while to work after starting Win7(10seconds or so) but no further problems...yet!  BTW I had to update something like 79 installs totalling over 250mb and if you go down this path don't interrupt the updating process, because you'll have to restore and redo the updates ( I did thinking the system had shutdown).  I only updated win7 not any other MS programme.  Enjoy

  • Having Trouble Associating Keyboard and Mouse

Using Windows Multipoint Server 2011 - I cannot get the keyboard and mouse connected via downstream USB Hub to associate with direct connected monitor.  When the screen comes to select B to associate, I get a Windows Multipoint Server 2011 logo screen
saver and the logo just moves around the screen when I press anything on the keyboard. If I attach a ps2 keyboard and mouse to the station it also will not associate with the direct connected monitor.
    Anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks!

    Hi Pamorific,
I had a similar problem today with WMS 2012 and had to buy a USB (non-powered) hub from the local Curry's. That did the trick straight away.
Not sure whether that'll work in 2011, but for the sake of £8 it would be worth a shot!

  • Radius L10W-B keyboard and mouse issues

Hello, I have just purchased a Toshiba Satelite Radius L10W-B notebook less then a day ago, and am exeriancing SERIOUS keyboard and mouse issues, Juts after purchasinng this notebook, after converting it to tablet mode and back to notebok mode, the keyboard and mouse was NON existant for over 4 hours, DID NOT WORK AT ALL. I took it back to the reseller and ofcourse as soon as I tried to show the issue, all worked fine. Now, I have massive latency issues with both keyboard and mouse. The keyboard misses key strokes in almost every 8 keys. I get 1 missed keystroke in every 8 keys pressed when typing, and these are not typos, just absolutely nothing, thyre absolute misses all togeather. This make for alot of retyping and backspacing etc etc. also, the mouse is disabled for about 3 seconds after tying, then snaps back into action. This means when typing and switching to the mouse reasonably fast, the mouse is non responsive for about 1 second which is fairly irretating. This email took over 20 minutes to write, for this exact reason. Im sure this is not normal. I really love this notebook in every other aspect, however these issues just make it plain ususuable. Any ideas? Thanks!

    Peter,
thanks for the reply. However im convinced this is hardware related! While I really hope not, Ive tried all solutions posted by others.
It simply seems the keyboard is poor quality and the rest of the laptop is awesome!
I really hope im wrong! But its my gut feeling
Ill try give them a call but not holding my breath.

  • TS3048 My early 2009 Mac Pro does not connect via bluetooth to my sound bar or bluetooth mini speakers. Both my wireless keyboard and mouse have no problems connecting. What do I need to do to connect to external bluetooth devices?

My early 2009 Mac Pro does not connect via bluetooth to my sound bar or bluetooth mini speakers. Both my wireless keyboard and mouse have no problems connecting. What do I need to do to connect to external bluetooth devices?

I would always have a wired keyboard and mouse on hand (need not be expensive ... any cheap wired devices will work).  "Emergency recovery" procedures can activate features in random order, so the opportunity to select a recovery partition may pass before the wireless devices are recognized.
That will let you select the "turn on Bluetooth" icon.

  • Keyboard and mouse won't connect to iMac

This morning, I suddenly lost connection between my 27' iMac and the wireless magic mouse. I had just scavenged a pair of batteries from a remote control the other day and while I wasn't notified of low batteries this morning, I assumed those new batteries must be dead. So I replaced them with shiny new ones and.....nothing. Using keyboard navigation, I tried to re-connect but nothing would work. My next step was a restart. This is where the computer lost the keyboard. So, again, I replaced the batteries in the keyboard and went through the initial bluetooth setup assistant procedure when trying to restart without a keyboard. It would find the keyboard, connect to it and then immediately loose it. I never got enough time to enter the password confirmation the setup procedure gives you. I found an old wired keyboard and mouse and got logged in and I've been playing around with the bluetooth setup assistant with no luck. Both the mouse and keyboard go into "discoverable" mode when turned on (blinking green light) and the assistant sees them but will not connect. For the keyboard I get the message "the pairing attempt was unsuccessful. This configuration of Mac OS X and Bluetooth software could be invalid or unsupported." I'm running 10.6.7, update as prompted and haven't done anything out of the ordinary on this machine recently.
    Any ideas?

    Paul,
I don't think you did anything wrong.  I think it was just "one of those things".  Things should be OK now.
Give a shout if they aren't.
    Regards,

Try resetting the PRAM and SMC.  You will need a KB to reset the PRAM, but the SMC may be reset without any peripherals.

  • My third party keyboard and mouse won't connect to my MacBook Pro

I recently purchased an Insignia keyboard and mouse combo. I'm trying to connect them to my MacBook Pro and they refuse to respond. On the box and online it said that this combo was Mac compatible. I am running OSX 10.9.4.

Sorry i should have mentioned that; i already have installed the drivers. I have the little boot camp console thingy and the display became to the right resolution after installing the drivers, so i know i have. Its something else, Windows based i think.

  • Ultraslim Plus Wireless Keyboard and Mouse not connecting

I just bought the Ultraslim Plus Wireless Keyboard and Mouse, but I can't get either to work.  My machine (ThinkPad X230-2324-HQ4) does not have a CD drive for me to use the install CD, so I found and downloaded the driver from your support site:
    http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/product-and-parts/detail.page?&LegacyDocID=MIGR-77112
I installed the driver properly and restarted my computer, but neither the keyboard or mouse will connect still.  I've checked the batteries, and I've verified that my ThankPad's Bluetooth drivers are up to date and working properly, but I still can't seem to get it to work.  I've found posts on here from people with similar issues, but they seem to all be related to the Ultraslim, not the Ultraslim Plus.  The Ultraslim Plus does not include a USB dongle for connection.
    Please help!

The Ultraslim Plus Wireless Kit is Wireless 2.4G solution, it is not Bluetooth solution. It has a dongle when shipping. Maybe you can check the mouse or Keyboard inside and find the dongle. You can open the mouse battery bin, it should be a dongle at top of two batteries. If you still can not find the dongle, I suggest you call the Lenovo help center since you don't have the dongle.
