Keyboard Shortcut - Get semi-colon to jump to end of line

In the NetBeans IDE I can type "myCommand(myVariable;)" and NetBeans will automatically change it to "myCommand(myVariable);". Can that be set up in JDeveloper? If not, is there another way to place the semi-colon at the end of the line without using the arrow keys to move the cursor?

Is the Complete Statement option (available from the Source menu when available on editing source code), keyboard shortcut Ctrl-Shift-Enter, what you looking for?

  • LCD color profile and Keyboard shortcuts gets screwed up

My macbook pro is connected to a Dell flat panel to extend the desktop. Recently, and inconsistently, the color profile of my MBP's LCD will get screwed up when I exit from the Screensaver - the external display looks right. Just clicking on display in system preferences immediately corrects the color. But I would like to fix it from not happening every now and then.
Another problem I notice pretty much in the same sporadic way is that my keyboard shortcuts (F9 to F12) for dashboard and expose gets reset to none - I am not sure if they are even related as of now (can't reproduce it at will)
Has anyone experienced something like this? Any potential solutions?
    Thanks!

  • Custom Keyboard Shortcuts Get Reset / Altered

Hey I'm having a pretty annoying problem with Photoshop CS4 - one that I never had with Version 3 or earlier.
I usually like to unmap the shortcuts for Close Window (Cmd+W by default) and Quit Photoshop (Cmd+Q by default) because they can cause problems when you hit them on accident, or too quickly.
Like I said, this has worked fine for me in the past, but now in CS4, without any rhyme or reason, the Quit shortcut gets mapped to simply 'Q', which is REALLY bad. Reloading my custom workspace solves the problem, but I have to do this daily, which kind of defeats the purpose of having it in the first place.
Has anyone else run into this problem? Any ideas on how to right it?
    Thanks,
    Nejat

Illustrator has similar problem where remapping certain keyboard short cuts do not stick seemingly. But if you open the shortcuts dialog after relaunch then it returns. Could be related.

  • Keyboard shortcut to move current tab to the end (far right)?

In Firefox 15.0.1 what is the keyboard shortcut (if there is one) to move the current tab to the end (far right)?

You may need to press the Tab key more than once.<br />
You need to look at the tab bar to see if the currently selected tab get a focus ring.

Can I create a keyboard shortcut to take the CTI to the beginning or end of the work area in the Timeline panel?
Also, can I remap the keyboard shortcut (~) that maximises the current panel?
I can't find the answers to either of these questions in the help....

Can I create a keyboard shortcut to take the CTI to the beginning or end of the work area in the Timeline panel?
    No.
Also, can I remap the keyboard shortcut (~) that maximises the current panel?
In CS5, it's under Application and called "Maximize or Restore Frame." In CS5.5 it's also under Application, but you have two choices: "Maximize or Restore Active Frame" and "Maximize or Restore Frame Under Cursor." The latter is how CS5 works; the former is a new addition, and will only maximize/restore whatever frame is currently outlined in yellow, e.g. active.

  • MS Word - words get cut in half at the end of line

I am doing English editing of a Word document written in Korean and then translated by someone. I am using MS Word 2011 for Mac. I have to edit about 60 of these documents, each is about four pages.
I edited about eight of them without any problems of formatting.
Then with the last four of them, I noticed that the words at the end of the line would get cut in half with one half of the word appearing at the end of one line, and the second half of the word appearing at the beginning of the next line.
I don't know how to fix this.
The documents have macro with them. Could that be the problem? Before, I was asked whether I wanted to turn on macros or not, and I chose "No" initially, and then I switched to "Yes". Now even though I went into preferences and chose "Warn me before opening macros", the documents open without this opening message.
I don't know what to do. I know Hangeul (Korean) is written so that it doesn't matter whether words get chopped in half and the original document was written on MS Word for Koreans (and has Korean fonts and things like that).
But the person who sent me the original document is not available and besides can't speak English so I can't ask her about this.
It might not have anything to do with macros. I remember vaguely a while ago I had the same problem and I fixed it using some simple measure but I can't remember what I did.
I browsed the web looking for solutions but have not found any.

I noticed this formatting problem is present in lists but not all lists.
    If the list is
    1.
    2.
    3.
    there is no problem
    When the list is
    i.
    ii.

    When the list is
    A.
    B.
    C.
    there is NO problem.
    When the list is

    There IS a problem.
I am making these lists using the list function in Word as well as the indenting function. I don't have a choice as the document already came with these lists.
So I think this is a bug in MS Word because the words don't get chopped in half when the lists are a certain way but they do get chopped when the lists are in  another way.
    Words are chopped:

  • Keyboard shortcuts and tabs with get info box

I'm having several problems with the new get info box - and regret that I can no longer bring up the old version with the shift/right-click/get-info command.
    1) No keyboard shortcut to advance from one track to the next, from inside the Get Info box. This used to be handled with Alt-N or Alt-P for Next and Previous. Now it seems to require mouse click on the error.
    2) When tabbing through fields, it skips fields toward the bottom (album artist)
    3) For works with the same title (most of my library is classical), I've tended to organize them by adding an extra space at the end of the Album line for the 2nd work with that title, or an extra two spaces for the 3rd work with that same title. This way they sort as distinct albums, since most works have multiple tracks. With the new Get Info, if I enter that extra space on the field in the box, it cuts it off when clicking ok. But if I just F2 the field on itunes list view, I can add it with no problem. This is a pain because I have to do it one track at a time, can't do it for multiple tracks at once.

The functions printed in small letters on those keys are accessed by the fn key.
The following work on my MBP (albeit using Word 2008, but IIRC the same shortcuts worked in Word 2004):
Jump to start of document = Command-Fn-LeftArrow (aka Command-Home)
Jump to end of document = Command-Fn-RightArrow (aka Command-End)
    Likewise,
Jump to start of line = Fn-LeftArrow
Jump to end of line = Fn-RightArrow
    Page Up = Fn-UpArrow
    Page Down = Fn-DownArrow
In this one (exceedingly rare) instance, Niel is incorrect.

  • Keyboard shortcuts and Word

I am not sure if it is OK to ask this question here, please indulge me if it isn't and tell me where to post.
I use Word 2004 on our G4; Mr H uses it on our MBP. (we have three liscence keys with our edition so all is legal)
Is there a keyboard shortcut to get to the beginning and the end of a document in Work using a keyboard shortcut on the MBP?
On the G4 if we want to move from anyplace in a document to the beginning, I hit command + home and get there; to get to the end hit command + end and get there.
On the MBP this doesn't work - the home and end keys are incorporated into the arrow keys, and the command doesn't work.
Is there another shortcut to make this happen?
    Mrs H

  • Keyboard Shortcut for moving a clip in timeline to a higher or lower track?

    Hi all,
Sure seems like this should exist but I cannot find it.
I want to be able to select clips in the timeline and click a keyboard shortcut to have the clip jump straight up to the next track above.
Anyone know if this is possible?
I have six hours of edited material and literally thousands of B-camera clips to move.... a keyboard shortcut would really help in this situation.
    Thanks,
    Matt

In the PDF files of the FCP user manual, and in the Quick Reference (Keyboard Shortcuts) menu item from within FCP.
Option-↑ (that's Option & the Up Arrow) This works provided that there are no clips in the track space directly above the clips that you're looking to move. (if there are clips, it will fail; you'd need to select those clips as well for it to work. That or move those clips first.)< </div>
So, we all have to ask, "Why isn't this in the manuals? And, we might as well ask, how many other undocumented features are there in FCP? "

  • Spaces Keyboard Shortcut

    Hi all,
This past week I upgraded to 10.5.2 and started playing with Spaces. I set up the Command+Arrows to switch between the different Spaces I created, but then I realized that this was also the keyboard shortcut to move the cursor to the end of a line of text in a word processor or Mail or whatever.
I got back into the preferences and changed the keyboard back to Control + Arrow to switch between Spaces, thinking that I'd get my keyboard "go to the end of the line" shortcut back, but that didn't happen. So now I have no keyboard shortcut to quickly navigate to the end of a line of text.
Is there anyone out there that knows how to get me back to square-one on this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Scott

I tried replicating what you did, changing the Spaces to Command+Arrow, moving around Spaces a few times using the new key combination, and then changing back to Control+Arrow. But I couldn’t replicate what is happening to you - my Command+Arrow went back to moving me to the end of the line or beginning of the line in MS Word and Mail.
A couple of things you might try. Go into Spaces and uncheck Enable Spaces. See if your Command+Arrow works properly. If not, try going back into Spaces, re-enable Spaces and remove all your applications from their Spaces and again disabling Spaces. Then see if your Command+Arrow to move to the end returns.

  • Keyboard Shortcut for eyedropper

    Hello
This is a problem I frequently encounter and I just wanted to know if threre was a keyboard shortcut solution.
Let's say I have a line of plain text I've just typed, which is still active and has the flashing cursor present at the end of the line. Any keyboard shortcuts I press now count as more text being typed, so I hit escape (Esc) and I am back to the usual Selection tool. All very good and well BUT...
Lets say, with the text field still active, I've highlighted the text and want to use the Eyedropper tool to recolour it by clicking another element on the artboard. Ctrl+I usually brings up the Eyedropper tool but in this scenario, a spellchecker appears. Ctrl+Alt+I puts paragraph markers in the text field and Ctrl+Shift+I seems to do nothing.
Is there a keyboard shortcut to temporarily access tools like the Eyedropper with text highlighted, without first having to escape the active text field? I'm almost certain I discovered this by accident once, something like keeping the keys held down the whole time you want to use the temporary tool(?), but it may have been a glorious dream...

This is what you accidentally did; you held the command (control on a PC) key down and you click on the text path and that selected the path you still still have the text field active and the Text tool available so you cans still highlight text if you want.
But if you do not highlight the text but simply hit the I key then you get the eyedropper tool, s the short cut for the eyedropper i the I key and not command or control + I. You then hit the T key and the text tool is back and you do not have to reselect your text.
I see you must be on a PC so substitute the control key for the command key.

  • Semi colon madness

At the end of my quiz, the email opens up fine and the
information is there, but there is a semi-colon added to the end of
my email address for some reason. This brings up a syntax error
message from the email program. My quiz is going to go out to a lot
of non-computer savvy folks. They will not be able to figure out
that they have to delete the semi-colon.
Why does it appear? It is not there in the email field in the
    Quiz preferences field of Captivate.
    I think I'm going insane.
    Thanks

If you think you're experiencing an episode of insanity, you
should seek out professional help immediately.
This forum is only intended for user-to-user support for
Adobe Captivate and is not intended to provide medical advice or
    treatment.
Just kidding... welcome to the Captivate community!
It's very odd that the semi-colon is causing a problem. It's
a standard mechanism in e-mail, used primarily to separate names
when an e-mail is addressed to more than one person. Are you sure
the error you're seeing is not due to you having entered an invalid
e-mail address in Captivate, possibly due to a typo?
In testing, I didn't see a semi-colon in the value being
passed to the e-mail program so I suspect the semi-colon is being
added by the browser and/or the e-mail client itself. There may not
be any way to prevent it.
That said, if you only send the e-mail to a single recipient
and you're SURE you don't want the semi-colon, use the code at the
bottom of this post to ensure that the outgoing value doesn't
contain a semi-colon. I doubt it will do anything, but it can't
    hurt to try.
If you still see a semi-colon afterwards, it's definitely
being added after the e-mail submission process is being kicked
    off.

  • Keyboard shortcut to extend a clip???

Is there a keyboard shortcut for adding available frames to the
end/ start of a clip once it is in the project timeline in FCPX???

Move the playhead past the end of the selected clip - Shift X will extend the end of the selected clip to the playhead. If the clip is shorter than the position of the playhead, Shift-X will extend the clip to its end.  PS - The selection of the clip should be either the left or right edge (as if you were clicking on an end to make a trim edit) and not the entire clip.
