Keynote update changes .mov format

Have just updated Keynote on my MacBook Pro.
I have extremely large keynote presentations that use 50 or so .mov animations. These .mov animations worked brilliantly in previous keynote. They were clear background animations that looped.
On updating keynote, all animations have a black background. I use these presentations for my buiness everyday. It is an extremely important part of my work. in the present state, they are unusable and will take time I haven't got to address the problems.
Anyone else come across this issue, and got any quick solutions? I need these animations to return to a clear background.
With Thanks

Hi dppilot,
I haven't found a solution per sa, but what I have found is if I open my keynote presentations by moving them from their folder directly onto the keynote09 icon on the dock, they will still open in keynote09. This still works even if I have opened them in the updated keynote and opimized for the update.
Whilst this doesn't solve the issue in the new keynote, it does allow me to keep using them in the old.
At the same time as updating keynote, I also updated to OSx Maverick. After that update I noticed that some of the fonts in keynote09 lost their character spacing and nothing I did would change it (Bank Gothic being the main one). This is why I updated keynote because I thought it would solve the problem. It did, but then created the new problem with the animations.
I'm hoping this is all going to get solved in the first update of the new keynote.
Fingers crossed.

Why change the format of the presentations? Keynote not respect the original format!
This new versionof Keynot (6.1-1769) is very poor:
    is very slow
    missing fonts
    changes the selected letters
change the formats of the presentations
    Carousel animations missing
Please correct the defects before releasing a new version. (The previous version was much better).

    Found the solution!
I must set the Formats in the CODEC to get the Format that I want to play with! I was trying to complicate too much!
The correct format class to is RGBFormat.

Well, I've established that it's DW8.0.2 that is causing this
    strange
    occurence.
Reverted back to previously created versions of my
    INSERT/UPDATE form pages
(created in DWMX) and it all works fine!!
I think that makes the whole situation even more frustrating
    because I had
HUGE problems with this back in 2003/2004, and resolved it.
Now I've upgraded to DW8.0.2 and it's all gone "ape" again.
    <sigh>
Any ideas, looking at the code in my initial post, why this
    is happening?
For comparison here is the same INSERT created in DWMX that

  • Change movie format

Hi, I start using iMovie last month and I got a format problem. The first part of my movie is in DV PAL, and I want to tranfer it in DV NTSC without exporting it because I have to had some other parts.
    Can somebody help me?
    Thanks

iM handles only one video standard per project - you HAVE to export/convert… and that is no trivia task, not only a few more or less frames...
the QT engine does that job, but I'm more impressed by the results of this free tool, JES Deinterlacer

  • Help me. i need a program to change movie format

I need a program that will let me change my movie file to a type that will play on ipod. a free one please.

  • FCE changes movie format (size) after render

In FCE, I imported a 768x432 .mov file and then dragged it to the timeline. After rendering it, the new size becomes 405x227. I can tell this by selecting Export --> QuickTime Conversion and looking at the current size. I verified that the file was definitely 768x432 prior to the render.
Why does FCE change the size of the movie after a render? This obviously affects the quality if I have to resize it when I'm ready export ( I tested this, and it definitely affected the quality). Is there a setting that I can change that will preserve the size of the movie during the whole edit process? I'd hate to lose quality. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Convert your media to the correct frame size and codec before bringing it into FCE.

Just to make sure, what exactly do you mean by "stacking photos" and what do you want to achieve thereby?

  • HT4007 I Just updated Apeture to 3.3.2  Now there are some photos that I receive a message..."Unsupported Image Format"  Are there lost?  can I retrieve them?  can I change the format?  Help...?!?

I just updates Apeture to version 3.3.2 after installing Mountain Lion.  There are some photos in Apeture that now say, "Umsupported Image Format".  Are these lost?  Can I retrieve them...how?  Can I change the format so that I can see them again?  Help?!?

Are these images "Raw" images? What is the make of your camera?
Check the version of the Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update that is installed.  The version of the raw support is shown in the About panel: from the main menu bar:
         Aperture > About Aperture
Download the latest Raw Update from here:
Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 3.14
If you have the latest raw support installed, but Aperture does not recognize the format, try to register the raw support for your camera with the launch services db, see this post by Alan Roseman:
Re: Aperture 3 preview of raw file greenish
But also read the following post, that explain how this is supposed to work and to correct the typo in the command
In short: Quit Aperture, open the terminal, paste the  follwing text in (all in one single line) and hit return; then reboot the system.

  • Change 0calmonth format in update rule !!!

    Hi ,
I am loading the data in to ODS from a flat file and the value for 0calmonth from file is Jan/2006. I want to change the format to 01/2006 when i am loading the data in to ODS. i know i can do this update rule but i do not know how to write the code or use some formulas..
    Please advice !!
    AC..

    Hi AC,
The code would be similar to this:
    Data: V_Mon(3), V_Mon_num(3), V_year(4), V_calmonth(7).
    V_Mon = Comm_structure-calmonth+0(3).
    V_year = Comm_structure-calmonth+4(4).
    V_calmonth
    Case V_Mon.
    When V_Mon = 'Jan'.
    V_Mon_num = '001'.
    When V_Mon = 'Feb'.
    V_Mon_num = '002'.
    Endcase.
    Concatenate V_Mon_num V_year into v_calmonth.
    RESULT = v_calmonth.

  • Is iPhoto changing my .mov format after importing from iPad?

Or is iTunes changing it while importing?
It seems iPhoto is making movies incompatible with iPad.
My iPad sees and plays my .mov videos directly taken by my canon sd 1400 is. They play in the photos app of my ipad after using the camera kit, and it's great for sharing with friends during a vacation.
The bad news is after ipad uploads these videos and photos to my mac's iPhoto, iPhoto is changing the format (I am guessing) so that the videos can not be uploaded back to the ipad in an album. Why? How can I change or fix this?
I am hoping someone points me to a magic setting in iPhoto that says, "Check this box if you don't want your videos broken with iPad"
    ipad 32GB, 3G
    Apple Camera Kit
    Canon SD1400 IS
    iPhoto 11
    iMac Intel Core Duo
    OSX 10.6.5

The iTunes app on your computer is very strict as to importing videos to the iPad.
    http://www.apple.com/ipad/specs/
H.264 video up to 720p, 30 frames per second, Main Profile level 3.1 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format
Even if your video does follow the above specs. Not all h.264 are created equally to the h.264 standards.
The Camera Connection Kit is not as strict.
I can import videos from my Flip Mino HD camera when using the Camera Connection Kit. When trying to import the same video using iTunes I get the message,'file format no supported.'
The previous iOS 3.x did not support importing Flip videos when using the Camera Connection Kit. I was happy to find that the iOS 4.2.1 upgrade did!!! Now I don't have to buy a new video camera!!!
To answer you question... Use the Camera Connection Kit. It's better than nothing...

  • Can iTunes change DVD's into a .mov format ?

So can iTunes change the format of a DVD into the format it needs to be put onto the video iPod cause this kid at my school says you can...But I put a DVD in and tried to import it and everything and nothing happened so am I doing something wrong or can iTunes convert DVD's to the iPod format?
    Thanks

Yea I figured you couldnt but maybe so I asked...So just google it for what I already have 2 converters but one has a watermake that says "Trial Version" and the other one only converts 5min of the DVD and that Videora has to install online and keeps saying "Server Timed Out" and then I have to restart the installation process for it. So what should I google?

  • OAF changes Date Format

    Hi
I need to store a date into a flexfield. We have enabled the Flexfield and there is NO value set attached to it.
This attribute is already in the VO as a varchar, so we have just added a new column into the page as data type Date and link it to the flexfield column.
In this page we have a table layout so the user can enter 10 rows before saving them. And this page it just used to punch data into a table, which means, once the user press apply the page saves and clears. The user can not query on that page.
When entering the first row, we can open the Date picker and we can choose the date and then it populates the column as “DD-MON-YYYY”.
    The problem is:
When we entering the second row after entering one column the pages changes the format of my date from the previous record to “YYYY-MM-DD”, then after entering any second column the pages clear the date from the previous row.
Running the page from JDev it shows the following message before clears the flexfield:
    java.text.ParseException: 2011-01-28
Note we have not extended the VO and not extended the controller.
    My questions are:
    1) Why the Self-Service is change the date format to YYYY-MM-DD even if the profile ICX: Date Format Mask (31-DEC-1999) and my preference is set to DD-MON-YYYY?
    2) How can I avoid this to happen? Is there any way to keep my date as DD-MON-YYYY?
    Thanks,
    Alex

    Alex,
That was the update from Oracle support, when we raised it,

  • How can i change the Format of my DATE column?

I need to change the date format for a whole column. At present i can do MM-DD-YYYY. I need to change this this to DD-MMM-YYYY.
I know about the to_date function, i tried to apply it to change the format of my whole column by doing the following.....
    CREATE TABLE "IT220_DATEHOLIDAY"
    "DEPARTID" VarChar(2)NOT NULL ENABLE,
    "HOLCODE" VARCHAR2(2)NOT NULL ENABLE,
    "DEPARDATE" DATE,
    to_date('DATE','DD-MMM-YYYY'), <<<change DATE column to DD-MMM-YYYY
CONSTRAINT "DATEHOLIDAY_PK" PRIMARY KEY ("DEPARTID") ENABLE
ORA-00902: invalid datatype <<<<This was the error message i received.
I am aware that the to_date function is supposed to be used to change strings into a certain format. I guess this means you cant do it with columns? Is there anyway i can format the whole column or do i have to do each string of data entered one by one?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello Jay,
I'm not sure you hit the right forum, as this doesn't seem to be a problem with APEX.
    Anyway:
You can't use that function on a table like that, and as you already suggested, the to_date-function expects a string value.
It seems you also have a misunderstanding of the basic datatypes in the database. DATE is such a datatype and is stored an internal format you don't need to care about. Each time your request the value, the database will give you a string representation according to either your locale or you give a certain formatting mask.
The same applies to insert or update operations: you hand in either a variable of type DATE or use a function like to_date to create an "object" of type date.
You may be interested in reading the documentation of the [url http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e16508/toc.htm]Oracle Database Concepts. The section concerning datatype DATE can be found here:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e16508/tablecls.htm#CBBGJHJC
An overview of formatting options can be found here:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e17118/sql_elements004.htm#SQLRF00212
So to answer your question: You would format it as part of your insert operation, taking a string and convert it using to_date.

  • Change default format in "save as" file format window

I month ago I asked the following question...
"How do I change the file format order that is listed in the "save as" file format window? Instead of having "Photoshop" listed as the default file, I'd like to have JPEG at the top, then TIFF, PSD, etc. I have to constantly scroll down the list to find JPEG."
Recently while selecting JPEG in the "save as" format window, I accidently selected "Large Document Format" while holding down either "control", "option", "apple key", or "shift", or a combination of keys. Now the default format in the format window is "Large Document Format" (ext.PSB). I've changed the default from "Photoshop" which is still listed at the top, to "Large Document Format". I'd like to change the default to "JPEG" but I cannot replicate the correct key(s) to change the default format in the window.

    Hello TomGroup...
I did not receive a satisfactory answer to the question. Yes, you can go
into the Scripts but that is for experts and it is too much work.
    Aloha... Darrell

    format window
    Any updates on this issue?
I have a similar situation in that no matter what I'm working on, when I
click "Save As' then the default format option is always .tiff    If I save
as jpg and then go onto my next file, the default is still tiff again when I
try to save  No matter what I try, tiff is also my default selection.  It's
just one of those things that takes a mere 5 seconds to click the dropdown
and select .jpg, but 5 seconds times a couple hundred files per day...it
    adds up.

  • ITunes 11 has converted some songs to Quicktime movie format. How can I convert them back to MPEGs? format

iTunes 11 has converted some songs to Quicktime movie format. How can I convert them back to MPEGs?

I didn't mess with the iTunes Media folder previously, so I don't think that was the cause. Anyway, I manually fixed most of the songs, but I still can't figure out how to fix the movies that became listed as songs.
Here is a screenshot of what it looks like when I click on "Get Info" for one of the movies (which has ended up in the music section on iTunes):
There is no option to change the media kind to "movie" or "video" even though it is a movie and it still plays as a movie if I press play.
