KF at result row aligned right-justified, at total line row aligned left-ju

KF at result row aligned right-justified, but at total line row it's aligned left-justified.  We have checked query/KF property in query design, but can't find the clue to fix it.  How to make these two aligned at the same direction in either left justified or right justified?
Any idea?
Thanks

Hi Kevin,
In the Bex Tool bar, there is a button for Layout, and under it there is Alignment option. You can try with that though I am not sure if it will solve your purpose.

  • Text in Arabic - Periods at "start" of phrase (right justified)  instead of at the end (left)

    Hey guys, so I'm using CC and I'm trying to copy text from a word document written in arabic. I havethe preferences set to Indic and it is written correctly (from right to left). The only problem is the periods are showing up at the beginning of the sentences instead of the end. Any thoughts?

    Won't this put rightcol under leftcol on the left side?
    I think it's the IE 3px text jog bug or the IE float bug.
    Ditch the marquee tag it's non-standard HTML markup.
    It is deprecated by the W3C and not advised by them for use in any HTML documents for a reason.
    I think your marquee is rendering as one line of text and is giving you a 3px jog.
    Yes it most likely is the 3px jog.
    My advice is if youre designing a 'static' site (as this is) it is best to use floats instead of margins to position containers.
    Floating the left and right column will work just fine and provide a more stable contruction.
    To test if it is the 3px jog take 3px away from the width of the right column.
    If you dont want to float google '3px jog' for a solution, there are several.

  • How to get search help results in RIGHT-JUSTIFIED column

    I am writing a search help with search help exit. Therefore, I use a table lets say tabA. I don't need all fields of tabA but need some further fields which I fill during exit.
    tabA does not have currency or number fields.
    I need a currency field and use a char20 field of tabA instead. filling of this field and showing results is o.k., but of-course it is shown left-justified.
    I did not find any fields of shlp-fielddescr which sounds like left/centered/right-alignment. Another try was to fill char20 field with leading '_' signs - that looked terrible and was not right-justified either, because of not fixed-size font.
    Let's resume: there is no number or currency field which I can use. The shown results appear in a column of not fixed-size font.
    Any other idea?

    Hi, I have the same problem. Did you get to resolve it? . Thanks

  • Right Justify result...

    Hello,
    I have the following query that I am trying to right justify the number results. I've tried to change the number by using "to_char" so that it would automatically justify to the right, however this did not work. here is my query...
    Select to_char(val_11, '9999999.99') where x = y
    Please help if you can.
    Thanks.

    In what way isn't it right justified?
    SQL> select to_char(1234, '999999.99') from dual;
    TO_CHAR(12
       1234.00

  • Right justified data into internal table

    **Hello Gurus,**

    Total        30.00    20.00     70.00
    I want  to align my "Total" word to be right justified.
    and if the particular column is having "00.00"; amount it should not be display.
    and i want to bold the particular row only. i.e. my "Total" should be bold.
    can anybody help me to resolve this problem
    Thanks in adv.
    Kaustubh

    Hi Kaustubh,
    As Vijay said, you can specify your display conditions in ALV as the snippet shows...But, In fact u need not even populate the total field in the third row...
    While creating the field catalog, just assign 'X' to the do_sum option in the field catalog...then simply pass the internal table containing the first two records in to the REUSE_ALV* FMs and the ALV would sum these columns up and show the total in standard formatting...saves you a lot of code
    Eg. Lets say your fieldcatalog structure is wa_fieldcat and its table is it_fieldcat...u will need to do this while preparing the fcat...
      WA_FIELDCAT-FIELDNAME = 'WA_ITAB-COL1'.  --> the field u want to sum.
      WA_FIELDCAT-TABNAME = 'ITAB'.  --> Your Internal Table
      WA_FIELDCAT-DO_SUM = 'X'.
      APPEND WA_FIELDCAT TO IT_FIELDCAT.
      CLEAR WA_FIELDCAT.
      WA_FIELDCAT-FIELDNAME = 'WA_ITAB-COL2'.
      WA_FIELDCAT-TABNAME = 'ITAB'.
      WA_FIELDCAT-DO_SUM = 'X'.
      APPEND WA_FIELDCAT TO IT_FIELDCAT.
      CLEAR WA_FIELDCAT.
    The FM would then generate the ALV with the columns summed up at the bottom. The best part is it takes care of the currency and quantity reference too...
    Hope it helps out...

  • Problem in positioning of the Overall Result Row when using a hierarchy

    Hello All,
    i've built a query on a hierarchy and i want the 'Overall Result' to be displayed at the bottom.
    I've made the following setting in the Query Designer
    <b>Query Properties -> Display -> Results Position -> Bottom/Right</b>
    but still, the 'Overall Result' is displayed at the top of the result rows.
    Could some one please tell me if this is how the functionality is expected to work when a hierarchy is used for display ?
    We are on BW3.1 SP 9
    Best Regards,
    Sanjay<b></b>

    Hi Roberto,
    could you please let me know if the following analysis of mine is correct.
    The Overall Result will be dispalyed at the top if the 'Position of Lower-Level Nodes' is set to 'Down'(default setting) in the Hierarchy Properties of
    the characteristic. If the 'Overall Result' is required to be at the bottom then 'Position of Lower-Level Nodes' has to be set to 'Up'. It is not possible to display the Overall Result at the bottom with the 'Position of Lower-Level Nodes' set to 'Down'
    Will greatly appreciate your help !

  • How to suppress Result rows in a Query in Web Application Designer

    Hi
                 I am trying to post a query in Web Application Designer. I am able to run the query in WAD but the Results rows appear. I choose Suppress Result Rows always in All Characteristics option in the query in BEx Explorer but still i see result rows in the WAD. Can anyone please let me know how to suppress Result rows so that they dont appear in Web Application Designer.
    Thanks,
    Padma

    To get the enhanced menu-
    1. Open the template in WAD.
    2. Go to Web Item properties.
    3. Go to Entries in Context Menu.
    4. Find the "Enhanced Menu" property. Set it to "display" if you want it to be visible in template result.
    5. Next time when you execute your template you will be able to access it by right clicking.
    or
    If you just want to supress results without adding enhanced menu in the context menu, simply set "Calculate result as" to "No Display".

  • Removing result row value for a single KF rather than all KFs in a query.

    Hi,
    Is it possible to remove the value in the result row of a query for a particular keyfigure? I want the the values in the result row for all the keyfigures except one. This particular keyfigure should have nothing in the result row. Is it possible in BEx Query Designer? Because my current setup doesnt allow me to use any other BEx tool other than query designer. Would appreciate if someone can provide me a solution for this using query designer. Helpful replies will be rewarded full points.
    Regards,
    Anurag.

    u can do that...
    enter into query designer
    open ur query
    go to columns / rows
    select ur keyfigure
    on right panel u will see properties for that particular keyfigure
    go to the Result row option
    Select CALCULATE RESULT AS
    then select SUPRESS/HIDE OPTION..
    that way u can suppress the result rows for ur keyfigure.

  • Result row won't summarize

    Hi all,
    I have a report where I have column A, B, C and D. They all consists of formulas.
    The problem is in the overall result row (or the top node in a hierarchy). For column A and B I want the result row to use the formulas and this works fine. But for column C and D I want the result row to use the summation function. I have tried setting the "Calculate result as..." to Summation but this does not make a difference. Any ideas why this isn't working? Or other settings I might try?
    Any suggestions will be appreciated!
    Thanks and regards,
    TMV

    I have already tried this and it doesn't make a difference. When reading the following in SAP Help I get the impression that it is not possible to force summation when you have subsequent calculations. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/4d/af1dc766d5df44bfdb76f7e54d16e2/frameset.htm
    Am I right? And does anyone know a workaround for this?

  • Exception aggregation in one CKF causing problem in Result row of other CKF

    Here is my scenario in 3.5x BW:
    I have a CKF A which has exception aggregation (to select maximum value) based on a reference characteristic..
    Now this CKF A is used in another CKF B and a third CKF C is being calculated based on CKF B. SInce I am using exception aggregation in CKF A, CKF B and C had to be set to be calculated 'after aggregation'.
    Formula for CKF C = 100*B/ D   (D is another constant CKF, with value 1 for each row).
    Now my requirement is that the result row of CKF C should be calculated using the same formula on result row of B and D. This was working when I was calculating A without exception aggregation. But now I need to use exception aggregation aswell as I want the result of C = 100 * Sum(B)/ Sum(D).
    I have tried the alternative of using a Formula selection (with formula collision - Result from this Formula)instead of CKF for calculating 'C', but didnot find any success in getting result row of C as per my requirement.
    Any suggestions in resolving the issue will be higly appreciated..
    Thanks
    Shikha

    you have created a calculated key figure A in your query, and in the properties of this calculated key figure you have defined the exception aggregation right?
    so you can create a second calculated key figure (say A') with the same definition as ckf A, but you don't put any exception aggregation in it. then you need to create a second calculated key figure (say B') to replace the calculated key figure B, and use ckf B' in this new ckf.
    when you use now the calculated key figure B' in the formula of ckf C, it should be correct as you use ckf A' as basis, which has no aggregation...
    quite straight forward, no?

  • Formula in query result rows

    Hello All,
    I have a CKF or formala (I tried both) in a query.
    There are column 1 and column 2 and column 3 is multiplication of column 1 and column 2.
    there are multiple rows and and i see correct value of column 3 for each row.
    however in the result row, i want to display column 3 as sum of all rows in column 3.
    But it is calculating by multiplying result of column 1 and result of column 2.
    Please help.
    Thanks

    Hello rajiv,
    you have a problem like
    a | b | a*b
    3 | 2 | 6
    4 | 5 | 20
    7 | 7 | 26 (and not 49)
    to achieve this you can use cell references ..
    what you need to do is
    1. in your query designed click on 'cells' in you 'view toolbar' .... then you can go to cells and modify it
    you can find information about it at following link
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/5b/30d43b0527a17be10000000a114084/frameset.htm
    once you go to 'cells' tab ...right click on desired cell and create cell reference
    and put your formula as addition of all the values in column 3
    hope this helps

  • Overall results row - how not to show some columns

    Dear Experts
    I have set results rows enabled at a certain characteristic level.
    So, at the rows level, the results row is showing.
    But at the right-hand-side results columns, some of the keyfigure columns should not be displayed , for example, price should not be summed.
    How can this be achieved using a  query only?
    regards
    Pascal

    HI,
    As i dont have your report layout based on my assumptions i understand that you have put one char in rows column above the strucutre and thats why you are getting result in rows and column as well.
    Now you need to hide the column result which indeed seems no to me i tried same on my system but i can only make the value and result blank but cannot hide the complete result column.
    Please correct me if my understanding is worng or your requirement in something differnent.
    Hope it helps.

  • Right-justify number columns in BC4J

    I have several JSP pages that I am using BC4J tags in. I want to right justify all dollar columns. In addition, I want some columns to have a default width regardless of the data in them. For instance, even if a column has 'Test' in it, I want it to have a display width of 50.
    How can I accomplish these two things?
    Thanks,
    Brett

    Sounds like you might want to add properties to the attributes in your VO. If you set up some properties to hold values for alignment and width for each column, you can just interogate these values when you render the JSP and writre them into the HTML.

  • Lpad .. correct use to right justify a char field?

    Hi all,
    I have a column that's a char type, and I'm trying to manipulate justification within it.
    SQL> create table test (test char(14));
    Table created.
    SQL> insert into test values (' 001234567890');
    1 row created.
    SQL> select * from test;
    TEST
    001234567890
    ..I have no probs making it left justified using ltrim
    SQL> update test set test=ltrim(test);
    1 row updated.
    SQL> select * from test;
    TEST
    001234567890
    ...but when I try to right justify using lpad I can't get it to work:
    SQL> update test set test=lpad(test,14,' ');
    1 row updated.
    SQL> select * from test;
    TEST
    001234567890
    ..this should pad the column with blanks to make the string 14 in length right?
    What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks !
    Adam

    Hi, Adam,
    A CHAR (14) column is always 14 characters long. If you insert a shorter string, it is automatically RPADded.
    If LENGTH (test) = 14, then
    lpad(test,14,' ')
    simply returns test. So your UPDATE statement is equivalent to
    update test set test= test;
    Every row will get UPDATEd, but nothing will get changed.
    To have the strings left-padded, use LPAD before INSERTing, or use UPDATE wtih LPAD and TRIM, like this:
    UPDATE  test
    SET     test = LPAD ( RTRIM (test)
                        , 14
                        );
