KP06 Layouts

Hi Gurus,
Can we restrict the display of layouts in KP06.
Eg: if 5 layouts has been defined for Planner Profile.
While calling KP06 can we restrict to display only one layout of our choice.

Hi,
you define the assignment of planning layouts to planner profiles in:
Customizing / Controlling / cost center accounting / planning / manual planning / define user-defined planning profiles. There you can maintain for each planner profile, whcyh layout appears for each planning section (eg KP06, KP26,...).

Hi Friends,
we have 10 layouts in KP06, i am able to access 5 layouts........... from goto menu i have selected next layout and previous layout,,,,,,, but i am unable to use 5 layouts..........
is it something i dont have authorizations for those layouts.........

KP06 layout

I want to select a layout in kp06, the layout is only read-enabled, I cant choose other layouts what can I do?

T-code KP06 Layout 1-101 and 1-102

Hi, Would you anyone please explain what is the difference between layout1-101 and 1-102 in the t-code KP06? How do both things work? If possible, please explain it with examples....

As said try to activate authorisation trace to that user in st01 and you can get the missing object
as far as VB(1 is object need to be maintained is S_NUMBER
please check if this object is there with SD user and also what the all activities are maintained to this object

Kp06 kpf6 kp26 layout

Hi All,
I notice all the above when i use the same planner profile and same layout, they are displaying the same on initial screen.
So may I know why need to have so many tcode as they may create confusion so many planning tcode.

Hi,
These are the various screen layouts when you are planning on Cost center, intern orders and activities.
If you have noticed, each of these screen layouts have different columns data compared to the others.

Difference between KP06 upload figures and S_ALR_87013611 output

HI,
I am using KP06 for uploading planned cost in BUD version . I entered amount 1000 . And when I see in
S_ALR_87013611, the figure comes up as 4.92 . There is no mention of currency anywhere in KP06 or
S_ALR_87013611 . Can you please tell me , if this is happening because of currency variations, and in that case, where
I can see the currencies for Kp06 and S_ALR_87013611 .

Hi Rudra
1. It seems your Contr Area currency is different than Comp Code currency
2. Use RPC0 and choose Company code currency / Obj Currency... (Tab Report Currency)
3. While uploading In KP06 - You would have chosen a layout which uploads the values in Contr Area currency...
If you wish, you can create a layout in KP64/Kp65 which uploads the values in Object currency i.e. comp code currency
4. Also check the Exch rate type and Value date in version BUD....

KP06 Cost center Planning

HI all we have a issue with KP06 Plannig to Cost centers and Cost elements,using Excel Upload option we have
our own layout maintained in KP66 ,report painter and assigned the same in to Planning layout,
it shows uploaded correctly in kp06 but some how doesn't show any values or some time only few values out of 12 months,

Hi,
It is hard to tell where the problem is, since you say the log shows the upload successful. I think some of the data which you see as uploaded may be entered manually by someone and may not be from your upload.
I suggest you try the following (am not sure if already tried this), instead of creating the file from scratch:
1. KP06 > Enter your parameters.
2. Click on Overview (<F5>).
3. Confirm macro warning with u201Cactivate macrosu201D if this message appears.
4. Delete last line Cost Element Total. If necessary remove Excel worksheet protection for deleting these entries.
6. From the menu, choose File -> Save Copy As and save the file as *.csv or *.txt.
7. Make necessary changes to the file.
8. Choose Extras -> Excel Planning -> Upload.
9. Note that last line cost element (total) must be deleted in the file.
Check the log...if successful check the report KSBL.

Cost center planning with excel layout on office 2010

Hi all,
I work with excel intergration on transaction KP06 (Release office 2010). I want to save the excel layout as a template for a later upload. In office 2003 I had in the SAP integrated excel menu a function "copy save as".
In Office 2010 I don't find this or a similar function.
Can anyone help me.

Funtional Area issue in KP06

We have customized a planning layout in KP06, where we want to capture Actual cost along with planned figure. Actuals will be in display mode only at the time of making planning.
Since we are also using functional area which is also defined in cost center master we are facing a problem where we are not getting the actual cost in case the document contains functional area either through cost center or cost element master. Only those doumcuments are captured in actual cost column where functional area is blank.
The problem is there only when we are using KP06 (Cost center planning) layout to have the actual cost as well so that user can view the actual cost at the time of putting the planned values. In this layout actual cost is not coming, if the controlling douments contains functional area, even it is appearing in all SAP standard report's.
Any solution in this reard will be of great help

This problem is caused by a program error. However, the error only occurs when the cost-of-sales accounting (and the update of the functional area) is active.
Check also note 431167 which advises that not all transactions can be shown in actual.
In particular, this means that during the course of Primary cost planning only the business transactions COIN (External postings), RKU1, RKU2, RKU3 (Manual repostings), KAZI (Accrual calculation), KOAO (Settlement of primary costs), KZPI (Overhead rates), are taken into account

Cost Center & Cost Element Excel Planning Profile Error - KP06

Hi,
I have created a layout for cost center/cost element planning.after that i have created planner profile.but while saving the generic file,i am getting the below error and not able to save that.Kindly advice me.
A later upload is not possible with this layout

Diagnosis
The layout cannot be used for an upload. This can be caused by one of the following situations:
The layout does not contain a data field that is ready for input.
The layout has a lead column that only contains the text for the characteristic value and not the characteristic value itself
The layout contains formulas
The layout has a complex lead column and contains empty lines.
System response
If generic file names have already been created (that is, an upload is intended), the file description cannot be saved.
Procedure
If you want to use the layout for an upload, configure it accordingly.
If one of the last three situations is the case, the layout can only be used for manual planning and not for an upload. In this case, remove the generic file name.

Planning Layout Challenge

Hi all,
Our customer has the following requirement for a planning layout that we are struggling to configure.
Any ideas or help from your side will be greatly appreciated.
They use transaction KP06.
On the Selection screen (General data selection) they want the following:
Version:
Fiscal Year:
Cost Center from: Cost Center to: OR Cost Center Group:
Source Cost element from: Source Cost Element To: OR Source Cost Element Group:
(they want to use multiple coste elements to calculate a single cost elements value according to the formula: Source Cost Elemet 1 * 10% + Source Cost Element 2 * 10% = Target Cost element)
Target Cost Element:
For the planning entry screen it should look like this:
Header - Fixed as per General Data Selection
Version 0
Fiscal Year 2011
Period 1-12
Cost Center: As per entry screen
Leading Column: Cost Element
2nd Column: Target Cost Element
3nd Column: % Increase (to be enterd)
4rd Column: % Applied (Fixed and can not be changed)
I hope this is more or less clear on their requirement.
One of the consultants did manage to get something close, but the problem is they want to be flexible on the Sending cost elements to be used and not fixed to 1 or more, and also the sending cost elements were placed in the columns, but again the they are fixed as per entries on the selection screen.
I hope someone can please give me some idea how to achieve this.

I Agree with Eli, KP06 can not be as flexible as this....
You would need to calculate it outside SAP and upload in KP06.. You can build your Excel sheet with all the relevant formulaes
Or else, if you have BW, you can build this model there and using RFC you can push these values into KP06... But this will take some time to develop

KP06 excel upload, KP66 report painter error.

Hello everyone,
I am attempting to upload our budget planning into KP06 via the excel flexible upload function.
I have created a new user profile via KP34.
I have created a new layout via KP65.
I have saved the "Generic File" and the excel file created when assigning the layout to the planner profile in KP34.
I enetered the needed information into the excel spreadsheet created above, and saved it as a .txt file.
When I go in to KP06 and attempt to upload the .txt file through KP06, I am getting the following Message:
"The row inserted cannot be processed manually"
When I select this message for mare detail, here is what I see:
The row inserted cannot be processed manually
Message no. K9 072
Diagnosis
You have entered a new row.
The characteristic entered in the lead column or the combinations of characteristics entered in the lead columns cannot be processed manually.
System Response
The entered row is not accepted.
Procedure
Analyze the cause of the error in the corresponding transaction.
I believe that has to do something with the file format or how I setup the layout in KP65. However, I can figure out what the issue is.
I am very new to using SAP Report writer/painter.
Does anyone have any suggestions in resolving this issue?

Thank you for the replies. I did resolve the issue above (K9 072), the account group gave me a cost center and cost element that was blocked for use. Once I usees a valid cost center and cost element, the error went away.
We are using SAP version 4.6
With that said... I did receive another error, "Enter a numeric value"

The valid cost centers are alphanumeric, not just numeric. For instance: IT1 is a cost center.
Can alphanumeric values be used? If so, how to I go about making them work with the upload in KP06?
I have looked at the layout in report writer (KP66) and I see no options on allowing alphanumeric values. However, I am very new to this and just may be missing it.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I tried the same layout,after getting file upload error message only,i posted in the forum,have u tried with that layout 8A-111,Any way last time you mentioned that
u can use import file directory to upload multiple cost center planning by putting all in one folder,i tried but it is not able to,when i tried using that option still it is able to post one excel sheet only,do i need to assign path in different way or am i missing something,i already assigned points without testing and so can you tell me how to proceed from that import file directory,since it accepts only .TXT files.
C:\Documents and Settings\lilysg\Desktop\CCA (CCA is folder name)after this i need how to proceed.

Hi,
Since you have 500 cost center and one excel file contains one cost center and multiple cost element, in that case you will having 500 excel files. To upload all the file at at time, pull all the excel files in single folder. Use T.Code: KP06 and select Excel Planning Upload under extras under the menu bar. Instead of selecting import single file, select import file directory. mention the path of the folder instead of giving path of the file and then execute.

KP06 is not allowing to post monthly planning.

Configuration done.
1) created planning profile in KP65.
copy 1-101 to Z1-101 and maintained monthly 1 to 12 period,
2) Assigned Profile in layout Kp34.
but planing data is not uploed monthly to all period.
it is uploading to period one only.
I trying to upload with excel sheet. Kp06.

Budget Upload in kp06

that is Company Code Currency in EUR and Controlling Area
Currency is INR Please suggest can i upload in Company Code Currency EUR while upload plan budget in KP06 ....

The procedure to upload datas is simple on condition you made appropriate settings before:
- first define a specific layout by copying a standard one via KP65 Tcode
- second, assign the new layout to the planning profile via Controlling > Cost Center Accounting > Planning > Manual Planning > Define User-Defined Planner Profiles
In the assignment of the layout you define the layout with the box "integrated excel" marked. You just have to navigate to layouts for controlling.
-thirdly you define default parameters of the layout: there you have to select a generic name for the files you will import. As an example if you define the file name like " planning* ", the future files will be named " "planning2008", or "planning2009"....
save : the structure of the xls file on your desk, save the settings
- then you make your planning in your excel sheet. Save it in a ".txt" format and don't forget to suppress the last line of the file: the line "total" can't be readen by the system.
- return to KP06 Tcode, choose the right layout : go to extra > excel planning > upload, select the "planning.txt" file and execute.
I think you have the elements to succeed.
