Lack of firmware updates for the N95 8GB

Does anyone know what the latest firmware is for the N95 8GB?  I've unlocked my phone from Vodafone but the updater still says the latest version is 20.0.016 but there are numerous posts talking about version 30?

As stated in his first post he has unlocked his phone. Also there is no point even phoning Vodafone. I spent around 2 months speaking to them trying to get an update for my N96 which never came. I was then also told they were under no obligation to do it either. Only option for me was to get the vodafone branding removed, so glad I did as he phone is much quicker now.

  • Is there a firmware update for the Apple RAID Card [early 2009 Xserve] that will take it beyond the E-1.3.2.0 version and allow it to see 4TB drives?

Is there a firmware update for the Apple RAID Card [early 2009 Xserve] that will take it beyond the E-1.3.2.0 version and allow it to see 4TB drives?

I have a few of these RAID cards in a couple servers, and then I have an earlier version of the RAID card in a few different servers.
The earlier servers are running non-apple 1.5 TB drives. It will be interesting to learn if this firmware update will indeed allow me to boost the capacity by installing non-apple drives, as the firmware previously has not.
Ohh I'm excited to update and try! This will greatly help out if it does!

  • No update for my N95 8GB? PLEASE HELP!

I have tried and tried downloading updates through NSU but it keeps on saying there are no updates available. My phone firmware version is V15.0.015. Please help, I really want to download the update. thank you.

Availability of firmware updates is by Product Code and nothing to do with the camera freezing. All N95-2's may look the same but they do differ slightly with the different product codes. Updates will usually be released first for the product codes of non network branded phones in higher volume regions such as Europe and than slowly filter out to the other regions. Network branded phones are usually the last because the update requires the networks prior approval. It is obvious that the firmware update is still not available for your product code.

  • Nokia Carrying Case CP-235 for the N95 8GB

I want to say, that this case is not good at all, and i'm gonna tell you why! I just bought an N95 8Gb, and I thought, that I should protect my phone, because it's a cheaper modell, and I woul'd like to keep it like new, for a longer time... So I went to the Nokia store, and I bought a case (orginal nokia designed for this model only) like this. it fits perfectly, and it is functionally but after only 2 days whwn I toked out the phone from this case, I observed, that the case scrached my phone, on the front! I became verry upset, because i scretched my phone because of a stupid case, because I was naive, and I trusted Nokia products, and I thought, that if Nokia has a product to protect phones, than it's tested to accomplish his destination, and not to do harm!!!

Oh, I am sorry to hear that. But I can not understand why that case can scrach your nokia n95 mobile.what 's material of that case was made? crystal,Silicon ,Silicone or leather .
Note: I know a website which carry more nokia n95 accessories, including nokia N95 case / cover, but the price is very cheap. the link is below ,hope that helps.

  • Firmware update for the harddisk

I ve got a warning that i must checked my harddisk firmware, so i do that, and indeed i must update the firmware for my TS 600-1040
After downloading i must do the steps, but then the program will make a cd-r but freeze, so what must i do now to update the firmware of my hard disk??
    regards Toine (Netherlands)

Not sure exactly which firmware you are talking about, but I do see that SP46206 applies to that model.  Note that multiple hard drives can be installed in that model, but if you received the notice from HP Update or HP Advisor, odds are good you have the model.
If you have the correct drive for the update, it should offer to allow you to make the disk later.  If so - it should drop an ".iso" copy of the CD image to the desktop, with instructions for various CD burning apps.
If for some reason it doesn't - there's a manual way to get the .ISO.
Start running the update.  Click Next to get past the opening screen, accept the terms of the license agreement.   Just before you click OK to continue, open Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer).
In the address field type in %temp%
It should show your temporary file folder.  There should be a bunch of temporary files/folders ther.  Look for a file in a subfolder (usually starts with the letters pft) with the extension of .ISO.
Copy that file somewhere where you can find it - like your desktop.
    Exit out of the update.
Launch a CD burning application, such as Cyberlink DVD Suite, Roxio, etc - and choose to "burn image to disk".  Then you should be able to load the update.
Hope this helps.  If the update doesn't apply to your system, it should refuse to load.

  • When will the firmware update for the Note 4 be released to support the Gear VR?

I will need to look at purchasing on another device on another carrier depending on timing.    (Cross checking the Oculus and Samsung dev boards as well)

Note 4 update just showed up for my phone a few minutes ago.  Installing now. They really need to communicate these things with the support agents so they can communicate better with us.  We need information to make decisions.  I can say right away, a Verizon device will never be my lead platform for development for this reason alone. Especially when the script for response leads to a link to a page that has nothing to do with phones, much less firmware update information.  This is, in fact, the NJ5 update, so it should work, I will verify for the support techs and the community when I get back to the lab. (I eat lunch sometimes, contrary to popular belief.)  Thanks for whoever prioritized this internally.
Apparently it was JUST released. http://www.droid-life.com/2014/12/10/verizon-galaxy-note-4-update-vru1anj5/

  • Will there be a firmware update for the lumia 920'...

Early reviews of the lumia 920 are all saying that the camera is not as Nokia said (the best camera on a smartphone at the moment). Photos taken in daylight are not that sharp compare to other devices. One of them even said that prototype tested a month before did not have such issue. Is that only a software problem? If yes, will there be an update? Thanks for the reply.

Some reviwers have rated the camera quite highly so it might be a case of user error on the reviewers part for marking it down.

  • M20 firmware update for wps vulnerability

Can someone advise when Cisco will be releasing a firmware update for the Valet M20 router to address the WPS vulnerability problem  (e.g. disable the feature, something which *should* have been incorporated into the router in the first place).
    Thanks.

Cisco... does not care... about Valet people.
The most recent firmware was released in the 1920's, I believe. It's common practice in the technology sector as a whole to consider electronics as "legacy" devices after about 6 months to a year. Wish DD-WRT ran on this, your configuration choices are pretty much SSID, router's IP and the ability to enable or disable DHCP. Compared to open source firmwares like DD-WRT and Tomato... or even compared to other router firmwares (D-Link firmwares give a lot more control and access to advanced configuration settings-- if you can handle it). I think it's pretty clear that the intended market focus for these routers were... the users who... did not plug the power cord into the router because it said it was "wireless".
Uh oh, did I say that out loud? No... I typed it, though.
The hilarious thing about this is I work as a systems/network admin and have 20 years of experience... and this router gave me trouble when I just decided to be lazy and try setting it up using WPS and the setup program. What a disaster! I finally just did a hard reset and logged in via browser and did it the real way... but I found that extremely amusing, that by dumbing things down so much, it actually made the process (to me, at least) 10x more complicated!
Oh... I threw this one in place of my normal router because it has been acting really flaky lately... it has served its time and paid its dues, surely. I picked up the M20 on clearance for like $10 I think-- for this very purpose... to keep as a backup in my closet if my normal router decided to kick the bucket.
I'm online, so... I guess this Valet M20 is serving its purpose but the lack of configurability is just plain painful! You know what would be a great idea? For Linksys/Cisco to supply an alternative "advanced user" firmware that isn't concerned with giving users enough rope to hang themselves with. People like me and other users who know what they're doing will already know how to flash it and get going-- don't even bother with user guides and pleasantries. Not needed. Also not needed? The splitting headache that swap gave me. A "5-minute task" became a "45-minute chore". I did install the iPhone admin app and found it to be just as watered down.
It seems an odd thing to me that you'd add the option to totally change the SSID or password (something that would require you to update the configuration on all of your wireless clients), yet left out access to things that would be much more practical and useful from a smartphone-- like being able to view the logs-- I would actually find that very useful. I already know that it's a Valet M20. Could have skipped that. Now, being able to reboot the router without having to get up and go to the computer or have to go to the web admin page on my phone, strain to find that option on a page only coded for desktop display... that's useful. The guest enable/disable would be useful, too... if there were any guests here. For some reason, I can't get anyone to hang out... LOL. Ok, rant is finished, I was just testing the connection and ended up here after getting the latest firmware. Thought I'd take a moment to share my thoughts since I'm biding my time, waiting on someone at the moment. This post is an artifact and memorium of the time killed typing it up. Yeah, that's sort of a self-referencing, paradox-ish type thought, hmm. Ok, hah. Really leaving now...
