HP pavilion refuses to update so my drivers aren't successfully instal why?

Welcome to the HP Forum.
The "why" is usually a break down in the communication protocol during the download or the actual RPC call during the installation.
You didn't say where this is happening; I suspect you might be referring to HP updates coming from the HP Support Assistant.
You can check the list of needed Updates in the HP Support Assitant.
AVOID updating the BIOS unless you know what you are doing and you have a good reason to update the BIOS on your computer. That means, do not update your BIOS unless you must do so.
After you look at the list, you can -- if you like -- log into your computer's support webpage and manually download and install the driver updates.

ONLY update the BIOS when you see an update in your computer's webpage AND that update can be used to provide a fix for an issue you have discovered in your system. In other words: If your computer is happy, do not update the BIOS just because you think it would be a nice thing to do to it.

The error code is a short Disk Self Test failure and would indicate that the Hard Drive is failing and needs to be replaced. This is also consistent with the start-up issue.
If your notebook is still under warranty, contact HP and arrange to have the drive replaced - you can check your warranty status Here.

Two times Mountain Lion Update was not succesfull

I use e MacMini, one year old, with max workingspace, each time, i use the update information, the update ended with the notice, installation not succesfull
or so......, now i'm not shure, is the installatin correct or not? This to updates was been successful on a MacBook Pro...
What the **** is the different by my Mac Mini?

Also, before intalling the update... Make sure to repair you user permissions. Go to Finder> Applications> Utilities> Disk Utilities and look for the Disk Utility Application. You can also call up Launchpad and start typing with your Keyboard "Disk Utility". Once you open the application, click the Macintosh HD in the sidebar and then move to the First Aid tab. Click the option labeled "Repair Disk Permissions" and let the process work until it is finished. After that, reboot your computer and then proceed to open the OS X 10.8.2 Combo Installer that you downloaded from the link I gave you in the post above.

I restarted my iPad right after posting to this thread and it seems to be working. Just about done with the install now. Should be fine I think.

Google apps won't update, package not signed correctly

I have a brand new Nexus and cannot update any of the pre-installed google apps. I receive the error "package was not signed correctly. Please uninstall and then reinstall app." Any thoughts on a fix other than (edited post to comply with VZW Community ToS)

Let's get those applications working for you! Many of the pre-installed Google applications cannot be removed, so what I recommend is going into Settings>Apps>All, then select the apps and if available, tap 'disable' or 'uninstall updates'. After that, please turn the phone off and back on. Next, you will either go back into Apps to enable the applications, or go into the Play store and update appropriately. Keep me posted!

9.2.3 is not compatible with Mavericks. You'll need to go to the App Store and download the iPhyoto 9.5 version. It will be free. Move your current iPhoto version to the Trash bin and try the App Store again.

Update is not applicable while installing Camera Raw

Hello internet.
I just bought a new camera, Nikon D3100.
I shoot with RAW files, and therefore I need to open them in PS CS5.
To do this, I need the newest update of Camera Raw, the Camera Raw 6.3.
When I try to update it, my Adobe Application Manager says "Some updates failed to install. Update is not applicable".
I've tried to uninstall PS, and it's also updated to the newest version.

App updates are not removed after installing in update screen of iPhone and iPad

Whenever there is an update for an app, the same is displayed in the update screen of the App Store in both iPhone and iPad. After downloading and installing the patch, the app is not removed from the update screen. In earlier iOS versions, the same gets removed and only the pending apps for update remain.
Questions:
Is this a bug?
Will this not increase the update screen list of patch updates over time?
Why are the updated patches not removed from the update screen?

This is not a bug.
The updated apps will start disappearing after about two weeks (on a first in first out basis)

click on add button next to java libraries ,
you will see name of java libraries corresponding to the ones in ur jdev/lib dir

IOS 7 App Store showing old updates / showing updates and not letting me install

I noticed two issues with the iOS 7 App Store starting last night. I'm not sure if it's a temporary issue, since the issue seems to be server-side on Apple's part, or if it's a long-term issue.
I am running iOS 7.0.2 on an iPhone 5s. I do not have automatic updates for apps turned on (I like checking what an app is updating before installing it). I have tried force quitting the App Store app and restarted my iPhone.
The first thing I noticed last night was that the App Store showed an update for Hulu Plus on my iPhone but wouldn't let me install it. On my iPad (3rd-gen) running iOS 7, it let me install it. This morning, it let me install it. After, I noticed another badge on my App Store app icon with a "1", and it said there was an update for 94 Seconds, but wouldn't let me install it either. Then when I expanded the details, I noticed the date on it was from July 30, 2013. I already had that update installed over 2 months ago. Screenshots for that issue are below.
Is anhyone else experiencing anything similar? Any solutions?

I do indeed seem to recall that happening with an app previously.
However, this time it was two apps (Google and Tivo). I figured they'd get flushed out when more updates (for other apps) hit the App Store. However, when that happened just now, while it did show "update" for those old updates instead of "open", I could not select "update all" up top and had to press update next to each of the (now 4) apps. The real issue though is that it (of course) can't further update Google and Tivo and gets stuck. So I can't update any of my apps now.
When I went back into App Store I then got the blank screen that shows nothing under updates but the "Purchased" slider up top. I thus had to reboot. I can get back into the App Store, and got an error regarding the Tivo update not being available (this was a Jan 10 or so update that had already been installed), but there it still sits in the updates. Interestingly, Google did "update" and fall off the badge indicator. I selected only my true/new updates, so now I'm just stuck with a false Tivo update/badge.
I should add that I am on 7.0.4.
EDIT: Tivo "updated" after the reboot too. So, bottom line is that you're (I'm) stuck with the false updates until a real update comes through, and then I have to go through that song and dance to clear out the false flags.

Every time I try to install any form of apps this error pops up.
I’ve un-installed my entire suite due to the fact the desktop application wouldn’t let me update anything, as it claimed nothing was installed. Even when everything was installed.
So, at this point. I’m just sitting here, paying for something I can’t use, with a client waiting for the final product.
I’d appreciate any help I could get.

P.S. Yes, I restarted my system multiple times, used the Creative Cloud cleaner application to clean things up, and every one of the basic troubleshoot methods.

ITunes won't update and doesn't tell me why

Guys,
for the past three days I have been trying to update iTunes because when I connect my iPod Touch 5th generation, iTunes tells me that it cannot sync with my iPod because I have an old version of iTunes (11.1.5.5).
Ok then I look for updates and it tells me that iTunes 12.0.1 is now available. I click install and it starts connecting to the iTunes store and then it stops and that's it. doesn't update and doesn't tell me why, nor why it stopped halfway.
what can I do? could it be that I don't have memory enough? or that in my country (Italy), the update is not yet available? I am using windows XP btw.
please help!

Windows XP drive not found after install

After installing Windows XP on boot camp, I have found that the computer will restart and then fail to find the drive I have just installed windows on giving me an error message something like "Cannot locate boot disk". If i restart into OSX then it finds the drive but i cannot boot into windows because it will just display the error message. If i try installing Vista this works fine but Vista is shockingly awful and i would sooner have XP. Any ideas??

Have you disabled any Norton, KAS, antivirus anti spyware programs?
Did you set a restore point prior to installing the Sp3?
Which method did you install the Sp3 from? full adminstrator account or apply the subinacl program and reset.cmd ?
There may be other problems prior to install of Sp3, Are the bios,of the systems you are using, the latest version?
What type of system are you using?
Are you using the latest W.H.Q.L. Microsoft signed drivers video available for your system? 174.74 from Nvidia, 8.4 catylst for ATI/AMD?
If you are using X2 processor both the processor driver and the dual core optimizer. You cannot depend on the Sp2 driver for proper operation.
What about chipset drivers?
And the mouse, and other perpherials?
If you have any unsigned drivers you will have endless reboots.
If you check the system to see if safe mode is available you can trouble shoot what is happening

Log in as adminstrator *Full one*
If you are using an AMD machine, check the regedit for the following key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Intelppm\Start
If this key exists change it to 04 Hexdecimal and reboot.

Update all apps on iTunes on my laptop won't update

I have a laptop that I usually keep shutdown until I go travel.   I use iTunes for Macintosh, version 11.2.2 (3), 64 bits for both computers.
I have a desk top computer at home that is networked with the laptop through the finder and I transfer music and newly acquired apps using iTunes.
When I have the App Library open, and the Update tab set, I see that I have 200 apps to be updated.   When I selected UPDATE ALL, my laptop starts downloading apps. When the downloads are done, I see that the same apps are in the Update All window.
My internet provider warned me that I have downloaded too many Gigabites.   My internet bill is large enough, I don't want to keep downloading the same app updates and still have the apps un-updated.   I also don't want my ISP to charge me for over use.
What can I do to update the apps on my laptop.
Also, In order to keep the downloads to a minimum, I'd rather just update my desktop then transfer the updated apps to the laptop from the desktop. Is that possible.   I want the laptop to mirror the desktop with regards to music, podcasts and apps as much as possible.

I took it to a ohone shop today and they're going to try and fix the phone without altering the memory, but apparently that's quite hard to do with IPhones
That will void any support from Apple. If you take the device to an Apple store you would be able to get an out of warranty replacement. A third party shop may make things worse and end up costing you more. Apple does not sell parts so all the third party shop will be able to use are parts from damaged or stolen devices. If the third party shop cannot fix the device you will have to pay full price for a replacement phone rather than the discounted price from Apple.
