LaserJet Pro CP1025nw - Software Installation Stalls During a Wireless Install

In case anyone runs into an issue with the install freezing during a wireless install, HP has provided information on getting the unit installed properly in the following doc.

Though I work for HP, My posts express MY opinion, and not those of HP.

Hello
I see that yous are having issue setting up the cp1025nw on the 10.8.
You can configure the printer on the wireless network through ethernet cable without any software.
Restore the printer back to factory settings if not already setup on the network from another computer.
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02471640&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&jumpid=reg_r1002_us...
Connect the network cable to the product and to the router. (temporary)
Wait about 1 minute and then print a configuration page.
(select operating system then select Method one.)
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02495036&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&jumpid=reg_r1002_us...
Use the ip address from the configuration page and type it in the address bar of browser (internet explorer, safarari)
This will open the embedded web server for the printer.
Select the networking tab, select wireless on the left side, set it to infrastructure and put in encrytian
(network passwords) apply then remove the ethernet cable from the printer.
Should have a solid blue light in about 1 minute.
Then on the mac just add the printer with the airprint driver.
Click on the Apple, click System & Preferences, and then click the Print & Scan icon, click add a printer, then select the printer from the list, make sure the name listed beside use: shows airprint, select add.
Test the printer on the wireless now.
Let me know how this turns out.

  • Wireless setup LaserJet Pro cp1025nw MAC OS 10.8

I have a brand new HP LaserJet Pro CP1025nw color printer, an iMAC running OS 10.8, an iPad, and iPhone.
I configured the printer fine using the iMAC’s USB port.  I can print fine from the computer but I cannot from my iDevices.  I understand I can no longer use the CD that came with the printer nor the latest download from HP to configure the wireless or install the new firmware because I get the “HP Installer’ can’t opened because it …..” error.  So, I have three  questions   1. How do I setup the wireless on the HP printer using my iMac running 10.8., 2. how do I enable Apple AirPrint,  and 3. How do I install the latest firmware (ver 20120130) in my  printer using MAC OS 10.8.  Your help would be great.

    Hi @Lize2 ,
I see that you are having issues installing the printer, the installer stops working. Thanks for providing that detailed information. I would like to help you out today.
It sounds like something is blocking the software from installing, since just the driver are being installed.
Disconnect the USB cable, run the uninstall from the CD.
Touch the Windows key and the E key to access the computer window. Right click on the CD for the printer, left click open in a new window, double click on uninstall.
Do a msconfig to turn off any startup programs that might be interfering with the installation.
Click on Start, in the search box type in Run, enter, then type in Msconfig, click OK.
Click the Services tab. Click to select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box. Click Disable All, and then click OK.
Then click on the Start Up tab at the top. Click on disable all.
    Reboot the computer.
Temporarily turn off any Antivirus software and Real Time Scanning. Especially if you are using Mcafee.
Then run the installation again. Right click on the install and select Run as Administrator.
    Test the printer again.
Then go back into msconfig and Enable the All Microsoft Services and Enable All on the Start Up tab. Turn the Antivirus software back on again and the Real Time Scanning.
If you need further assistance, just let me know.
    Have a great day!
    Thank You.

  • HP Laserjet Pro P1102w software update not available?

I recently purchased an HP LaserJet Pro P110w which advertises AirPrint capability. Apparently there is not specific OS X 10.8 support for this printer? My specific problem is that when i go to add the printer to my network, I get a box during setup that says "Software is available from Apple" it then attempts to download said software, but then I get a box that says Software Not available.
Any suggestions? I've seen some "solutions" involving this printer but I can't get any further than above. This occurs whether I attach it to my macbook pro via USB or to my Time Capsule.
It also has the latest firmware. In fact when I tried to use the enclosed CD, it says my printer has new firmware that what is available on the CD.
HP's website is useless, at least I can't find help.
I'm hoping that my fellow macophiles can help!
    Thanks!

If you connect the printer to the network, you won't need to install any software. If you're connecting it via USB, follow these instructions:
OS X Mountain Lion: Reset the printing system

Hey ,  Welcome to the HP Support Forum.  I see that you're unable to install the drivers for your HP LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw Color MFP.  I'd like to work with you on this.  I have some suggestions that might result in a viable setup.   Try the following steps:  Clear Temp Folder:  Open the Run box by pressing the Windows + R keys'.  In the box that pops up type %temp% and hit enter. When the Temp folder opens select Ctrl + A at the same time on your keyboardOnce everything is highlighted in the Temp folder select 'Delete' on your keyboard to delete the files within the Temp folder. No files and folders on your actual computer will be removed. This will only delete Temporary files. If a file is still be used by a program on your computer you will get the pop up to 'skip' the item.Once the Temp files are deleted close the windowOn your Desktop, right click on the Recycling Bin and select Empty Recycling BinNext, run Microsoft Fix it.  Click here to install.  This utility might solve the install problem.  I also suggest updating the printer's firmware.  Connect your printer to the PC via usb (if possible) and click here to complete the firmware update.  If none of these steps are helping, you can do a selective start up on your PC working directly with MSCONFIG to try and determine what, if any Windows service or program is interfering with your ability to install the drivers.  Here's how:   Click on the Start menuIn the 'search programs and files' box right above Start, type msconfig and hit enter on your keyboardWhen the System Configuration Window opens click 'Selective Startup' and uncheck Load Startup ItemsClick the Services tab. Check the box at the bottom for Hide All Microsoft ServicesSelect Disable AllSelect Apply and OKRestart your computer when promptedAfter you reboot, try the install again.  If you're able to finish the setup we can safely assume there is a background program or service on your computer blocking the install. You will need to enable one service at a time on your computer to locate the program that's blocking your printer from printing.   Here's how to undo the above-noted MSCONFIG steps:  Click the Start icon.In the 'search programs and files' box right above Start, type msconfig and hit enter on your keyboardWhen the System Configuration Window opens click 'Normal Startup'Click Apply and OKRestart your computer as prompted.  Please let me know the result of your troubleshooting by responding to this post.  If I have helped you resolve the issue, feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below and clicking to accept this solution. Thank you for posting in the HP Support Forum.  Have a great day!

  • HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw Installation Issue

Hi, I purchased a new HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw yesterday, and is having difficult time installing the driver. I tried downloading it online and using the CD that came with it. I have also tried to install in two different computers, one is a desktop with Windows 7 Home Premium, the other is a notebook with Windows 8.1.  In all instances, it stops at "preparing for installation" stage with an error message that reads "A probelm occured while preparing to install software to your system. Please restart your computer, and run this installation again. If the problem persists, please check the product support web site for your product". I tried to restart the computers many times, and I have also tried to change windows "User Account Control Setting" to the least sensitive level, but still to no avail. I need help! Thanks, lateblue

John_Getzke, Thanks for your suggestion. However, I was using administrator accounts. I tried to create a new administrator account to do it again, but got the same result. lateblue

  • What causes post software installation stall and how can I avoid it?

I never had this problem before with Jaguar, but since I installed Tiger this past December, when I've installed some software updates, my computer has not been restarting normally when I followed the instruction to "restart".
It shuts down, there's the pause, then the chime sounds. The screen lights up and the spinning beach ball appears. So far, so good. That, however, is as far as the process gets. The beach ball just spins and spins and spins. I was patient, but waited to no end. Finally, I disconnected the power cord and let the battery run down.
Finally the screen went dark. I let the computer stay like that overnight. The next day, I reconnected the power cord, the chime sounded and the
computer started up successfully and worked normally. And the software was installed. This has happened three times, every time with a software update.
I have repaired the permissions and done other disk first aid from my install disk CD. And I've run the Tech Tool utility.
I don't know if any of that will address the problem. So I hope some one can give
me some idea what the problem is and what will permanently eliminate it, before I venture into any future software updates.
    Thanks

It is normal for a restart after an update or software installation to take much longer than normal, and generally it should be left to do its thing - but not overnight!
There are no guarantees, but following this procedure when installing updates and upgrades on your Mac will go a long way towards avoiding unpleasant after effects and ‘post-update stress disorder’.
It is also worth noting that it is an extreme rarity for updates to cause upsets to your system, but they may well reveal pre-existing ones, particularly those of which you may have been unaware. If you are actually aware of any glitches, make sure they are fixed before proceeding further.
So before you do anything else:
If you can, make a full backup first.
Turn off sleep mode for both screen and hard disk.
Disconnect all peripherals except your keyboard and mouse.
    1. Repair Permissions (in Disk Utility)
    2. Verify the state of your hard disk using Disk Utility. If any faults are reported, restart from your install disk (holding down the C key), go to Disk Utility, and repair your startup disk. Restart again to get back to your startup disk.
At least you can now be reasonably certain that your system does not contain any obvious faults that might cause an update/upgrade to fail.
    3. Download the correct version of the COMBO update from the Apple download site. If your car runs on gasoline you would not want to fill the tank with diesel, so don’t try to install the PPC updater on an Intel Mac!
If you prefer to download updates via Software Update in the Apple menu (which would ensure that the correct version for your Mac was being downloaded), it is not recommended to allow SU to install major (or even minor) updates automatically. Set Software Update to just download the updater without immediately installing it. There is always the possibility that the combined download and install (which can be a lengthy process) might be interrupted by a power outage or your cat walking across the keyboard, and an interrupted install will almost certainly cause havoc. Once it is downloaded, you can install at a time that suits you. You should make a backup copy of the updater on a CD in case you ever need a reinstall.
Using the Combo updater ensures that all system files changed since the original 10.4.0 are included, and any that may have been missed out or subsequently damaged will be repaired. The Delta updater, although a temptingly smaller download, only takes you from the previous version to the new one, i.e. for example from 10.4.9 to 10.4.10. Software Update will generally download the Delta updater only. The preferable Combo updater needs to be downloaded from Apple's download site.
    Now proceed as follows:
    4. Close all applications.
    5. Unplug all peripherals except your keyboard and mouse.
    6. Install the update/upgrade. Do not under any circumstances interrupt this procedure. Do not do anything else on your computer while it is installing. Be patient.
    7. When it ask for a restart to complete the installation, click restart. This can take longer than normal, there are probably thousands of files to overwrite and place in the correct location. Do nothing while this is going on.
    8. Once your Mac is awake, repair permissions again, and you should be good to go!
If your Mac seems slightly sluggish or ‘different’, perform a second restart. It can’t hurt and is sometimes efficacious!
    9. Open a few of your most used applications and check that all is OK. In this connection please remember that not all manufacturers of third party applications and plug-ins, add-ons, haxies etc, will have had time to do any necessary rewrites to their software to make them 10.4.10. compliant. Give them a weeks or two while you regularly check their websites for updates. This applies particularly to plug-ins for Safari 3.
N.B. Do not attempt to install two different updates at the same time as each may have different routines and requirements. Follow the above recommendations for each update in turn.
Lastly, Apple's own article on the subject of Software Update may also be useful reading:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106695
If you are updating Safari (or just have):
Input Managers from third parties can do as much harm as good. They use a security loophole to reach right into your applications' code and change that code as the application starts up. If you have installed 10.4.11 and Safari is crashing, the very first thing to do is clear out your InputManagers folders (both in your own Library and in the top-level /Library), log out and log back in, and try again.
So, disable all third party add-ons before updating Safari, as they may not have been updated yet for the new version. Add them back one by one. If something goes awry, remove it again and check on the software manufacturer's website for news of an update to match your version of Safari. Remember: Tiger up to 10.4.10 used Safari 2.0.4 or, if you downloaded it, Safari 3.0.3 beta. Safari 10.4.11 uses Safari 3.0.4 which is not a beta. If Safari 3.0.4 on 10.4.11 is not the fastest browser you have ever used, then something is wrong!
Moreover, trying to revert to Safari 2 when running 10.4.11 can have repercussions, as Safari 3.0.4 uses a completely different webkit on which other applications like iChat, Mail and Dashboard Widgets etc also rely.
Most errors reported here after an update are due to an unrepaired or undetected inherent fault in the system, and/or a third party ad-on. Two such add-on that have been frequently mentioned here for causing such problems are Piclens and Pithhelmet. If you have them, trash them.

  • Hp laserjet Pro 200 M276nw won't consistently connect wirelessly with iMac

I'm on my second brand new hp laserjet Pro 200 M276nw in 3 days, it will not consistently connect wirelessly with my newly purchased (8days old) Apple refurbished 27" iMac on OSX 10.9, i7 chip & Fusion Drive.  The hp laserjet will sometimes connect wirelessly immediately after clicking "print" on the iMac, but about half the time it says "printer not connected" & takes 2-4 minutes (or longer) before the devices do connect. I've called hp support many times, they're reset various things via remote takeover of my iMac, the printer will work for a few of minutes but then the same problem returns. AppleCare made sure I have the
correct Airprint driver installed & also checked my settings, but says they don't know why this is occurring. I've also verified that our newer (6 months old) AT&T router is functioning correctly.
My older hp laserjet (CM1312nfi MFP) has worked flawlessly since 2009 via USB connection with my old iMac (still on Snow Leopard), I assumed it would continue with the new one, but there is no software update for Mavericks & the scanning feature won't operate on the new iMac. Hp says it is a discontinued model. The new hp laserjet is a successor model to the older one, they are both very similar except for the new wireless feature.
I can print fast & wirelessly from the new iMac via a different new hp inkjet printer (8600 series) here in the house. This inkjet printer is less than a month old, I installed it myself for a Windows laptop here, it has never malfunctioned.  Unfortunately it's upstairs & I do not like inkjet print quality, I need a good laserjet here in my office downstairs next to my iMac.

    HI there
Did you manage to sort this issue out - as I have exactly the same problem.
Lots of similarities as I also have an inkjet 8600 which works via USB and wirelessly no problems at all!
I always  buy HP printers as they are usually easy to set up - but this one is making me tear my hair out!
I've even upgraded to Yosemite and downloaded the new drivers from HP - no success.  The printer will print one page and then become unavailable.
I can print via USB or wireless direct - but not just via my wireless network which is what I want to do!
No responses posted - so assume no one has a fix.
    aaaargh!!!

  • HP Laserjet PRO MFP M125nw; scanner is not located wirelessly

Product name: HP Laserjet PRO MFP M125nw
Operating system: Windows 8.1 64 bit
This is a new MFP that I installed today. The printer works fine wirelessly but the scanner is not located wirelessly - it is found only with the USB connection. I get the following error message when I try to use the scanner wirelessly:
'The HP LJ M125126 Scan was not found'.
I have done the following to troubleshoot:
Uninstalled and reinstalled from the CD.
Uninstalled and re-installed the full drivers from the HP website.
Also tried the HP print and scan doctor. This says the full software solution is not installed on this computer and asks me to install the full soft ware solution which i had already done - step 2 - prior to using the scan doctor. I still keep getting the same error message.
I would be most grateful for your help please.
    Many thanks.
    Kind regards
    SSUN

    Hi @SSUN ,
I see that you are unable to scan over the wireless network, but you can scan by a USB connection. I would like to help.
Since you can scan by a USB connection, the software and drivers should be installed properly. There shouldn't be any issues with the Wia either.
Temporarily turn off the Antivirus Software. Just to make sure it isn't interfering.
If you are still having issues then check that the scanning ports on the router to make sure that they are open. You can contact the router company to check and open these ports 9220/9500/427 on the router.
What scanning software are you using?

  • HP Laserjet Pro P1102W not printing even though it's installed...

Hello everyone. I'm relatively new to Arch, especially new with configuring cups. I just bought an HP LaserJet Pro p1102w wireless printer. I set it up on my dads laptop via plugging it into the usb and it automatically ran the setup program and I selected to set the printer up for wifi printing. All went well and the printer works now wirelessly from his computer (Windows 7). I've been working at getting this printer to actually print without error but it refuses.
I'm trying to print from leafpad, just a simple text file with little in it other than "linux test print" in the file. The print queue states "Processing - Not connected?" then it fails and gives me the option to "diagnose" the issue. So I click Diagnose. Then it pops up with a message stating that the "print server not exporting printers". It tells me to enable  the "Publish shared printers connected to this system" through the printing administration panel which is in Gnome apparenetly (I'm in XFCE) under System>Administration>Printing from the main menu. In XFCE there is no such area.
    I have cups version 1.5.0-1
    hplip 3.11.7-2
What else should I do? Apparently the printer was installed successfully. I tried installing it and selecting the HPlip driver which installed fine but wouldn't print. Then I removed that one and installed it using the Apple driver (airprint?) and it won't print either.
I've tried searching for help but all I find is that it will work with hiplip installed... It isn't working with that installed.
I can't access the cups server via a browser. Is that the problem? I've opened the cups config page but I don't understand it and it says allow, deny under localhost or ugh i dont know, something about which users can access the server. Should I remove the "deny"??
Please help me if you can. I'm totally lost and have no idea what to do to get this printer working on my installation of arch. Arch is fully updated as of a few days ago.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
    -Brittany

I can't access the cups server via a browser. Is that the problem?
    Absolutely.
If you are starting cupsd from DAEMONS in rc.conf is it starting correctly or failing?   If your not you should be.  if it failing does start manually work?
if it's running you should be able to access via browser.  localhost:631
    also see/try
    $ hp-toolbox
CUPS interface better option IMO tho.

  • HP LaserJet Pro 400 M401dne Installation

Purchased the LaserJet  Pro400 M401dne yesterday and tried to install.  Wasted about 6 hours.  First with the disc that came with the printer, Next by downloading directly from the HP site for this printer and drivers  After downloading and running the exe, it tells me to connect, then starts "Setup", and after about 20 minutes, dies at 99%.   Cannot get to "Install".I am using Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit.  The plug and play from Windows does not work either.  And, my tech guy is on vacation for 2 weeks!   I usually install HP printers in a matter of minutes - what has changed since this winter?  Help, Please!!!  Thanks in advance.

Failure at 99% normally means that everything worked but the installer could not find the printer object it created on your PC.  Theres a good chance you might be able to print by simply killing the installer at this point and using what has been created on the PC.  The object it was looking for was most likely renamed and hijacked by a competing print driver, most likely an existing Universal Print Driver. Go back and clean out all existing printers and print drivers from HP.  Start over again with the latest software update from http://support.hp.com.  To clean out Print Drivers:1. Navigate to Start > Search "Print"2. Select Print Management3. Expand the All Drivers area4. Clean up anything from HP If you get stuck removing a driver then make sure the printer objects associated with it are removed first and try again.  If you have a hard time removing an object you can either reboot or manually restart the print spooler ("net stop spooler" / "net start spooler") to free it up.

  • Laserjet Pro MFP m127fn installation issues

I need some help with re-installing this printer.  I had originally sucessfully installed it and then the printer stopped printing.  So I went through the troubleshooting steps and downloaded and ran the HP print and scan doctor and that did not solve the problem.  So the next step was to uninstall and reinstall the software.  When I went to re-install I got the message install operation took too long to execute when it was 99% done.  I got this message with both the online software download and the cd installation. I thought about trying the hp smart install, but when i plug in the usb cord to the printer, it doesnt give me the option. I read in another post that you are supposed to Click the Windows icon, click My Computer , double-click the HP Smart Install CD icon, and then double-click the SISetup.EXE file.  But there is no HP Smart Install CD icon under my computer.  So i cannot find that file.  PLEASE help. I am trying to re-install on a computer running Windows XP Pro service pack 3 (32 bit)

Hi shardul2000, Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! I understand you are unable to reinstall the printer software.I will be happy to help you. Disconnect the USB cable and run the uninstall from the CD. Go start, computer, right click on the CD for the printer, left click open in a new window, double click on uninstall. We will have to update the driver before the error occurs again.Sorry for the amount of steps we need to do to resolve this issue. Follow these steps:Have the Device Manager open before starting to install the software. Go to start, right click my computer, left click properties, click on the hardware tab, then device manager. As sooon as the software asks for the USB cable to be plugged in, proceed with the following steps. In the Device Manager window go to view across the top.
    Select show hidden devices.
Click on printers.Under printers you will see a universal printer PCL5 or PCL6  or the actual printer, this may take acouple of minutes, be patient.Right click on the printer and click update drivers, once again, this option may take a couple ofminutes.
-browse my computer for driver software.
-let me pick from a list of driver software. You will see two options.
The printer driver and the universal printer PCL5 or PCL6.Select the printer driver and update it and as soon as the update is done the software install willmove from connection to finish the install. Try printing. Hope this helps.
Thank you for posting on the HP Forums.
    Have a great weekend!

  • LaserJet Pro 200 Durinf Installation PC sees as a storage device

I dont know what happened.  I previously installed the printer drivers on my work laptop without issue in November.  For some reason 2 weeks ago the laptop stopped connecting with the printer.  I could see the printer.  However, the printer status  'Use Printer offline' mode & when I would click use the printer online; any print job would error out.
This is my 2nd attempt to complete the installation.  I have to receive admin rights from the tech support organization.
For some reason during the installation process the laptop thinks the LaserJer is a cd ROM device?   During the installation i get as far thas connecting to the device (I connect with a USB cable) which times out .
Any help is greatly appreciated, this is hurting to spend so much precious work time trying to fix.
    thank you  ray b

The Smart Install setting is on the printer itself.  From the display on the printer, go to the Setup menu (click the icon that looks like gears). Then click on the Service menu item.  From this menu scroll until you see the 'HP Smart Install' option. Click on this option and turn it off.
    Hope this helps.

  • IDT (Beats) software installation fails during configuration phase

    System:    HP Pavilion dv7-6b70ed
OS:            Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits
I lost access to the Beats Audio Control Panel for reasons unknown and decided to reinstall the software. The installation seems to go fine, until I got the configuration screen one gets after restarting the system. The installation terminated with an "unknown error", after clicking the finish button.
It appears to be a problem, because my laptop sounds like having a severe cold. Anybody an idea?
    thanks .... H

    Hi,
    Try the following.
Download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-55500/sp55094.exe
When done, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers.  Right click the IDT device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.
When complete, restart the notebook and let Windows fully load,
Now use the Microsoft 'Fixit' on the link below to install the IDT Audio software.

  • HP LaserJet Pro M1217nfw Multifunction Printer - No TWAIN Compliant is installed.

I was trying to scan using the LaserJet Scan.  However, I have received a message "There is no TWAIN-compliant device installed.  Please install one and try again".  I have searched on google but I was unable to find one.  Please also note that I was also trying to uninstall the driver, but I was unable to do so because it stated that one or more of the printers listed above have pending print jobs.  Printers with pending jobs cannot be removed until the jobs are completed.
Thanks for taking the time to read and respond to my post.

    Hi Hoang714,
    Thanks for providing that information.
Download the and run the Print and Scan Doctor. It will diagnose the issue and might automatically resolve it.
Find and fix common printer problems using HP diagnostic tools for Windows?
Create a restore point on the computer. So this way we can always go back to that restore date.
Go to the start up screen, (tiles menu) type in restore point. Then follow the document provided.

Create a new profile. Create a user account .
On the Windows 8, hold down the Windows Logo key () on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the run box.
Check the Windows Image Acquisition Services:
On the Windows 8, hold down the Windows Logo key () on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the run box.
Type in services.msc and click on OK.
In the Window, please right click on Windows Image Acquisition Service and then click on Properties.
In the Properties window, please click on Dependencies window and check the dependencies.
It should be “Remote Procedure Call” and “Shell Hardware Detection”. If you find anything else, please advise.
    Close the Properties window.
In the main Services window, in the list make sure Windows Image Acquisition Service shows 'Started' in the Status column and 'Automatic' for the Startup Type. If the option to stop is available, click stop and then click start.
In the main Services window, in the list make sure that Remote Procedure Call (RPC) shows as 'Started' in the Status column and 'Automatic' for the Startup Type.
In the main Services window, in the list make Shell Hardware Detection services shows as 'Started' in the Status column and 'Automatic' for the Startup Type.
If the other two in the services are not started, please restart these services and then restart the Windows Image Acquisition service. Just right click and select start on each one.
Temporarilty turn off the Antivirus software, since it may stop the services.
When you run the installation, right click on it and Run as Administrator.
I have provided some more steps, just in case you still are having the Twain error.
file being in the wrong directory when the install gets done.
Hence the scanning works from MSPaint or Windows Scan and Fax programs but not from HPs Scan App.
The directions are quite simple and are as follows:
Hold down the Windows Logo key () on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the run box, type %temp%. You will see the  7z..... folder that extracted your web pack for the printer.
In this folder, navigate to drivers\scanner\x32\ folder.
Copy the HPWTIOP4.DLL from this folder.
Hold down the Windows Logo key () on the keyboard and the 'E' key. Then go  to Program Files (x86)\HP\DigitalImaging\Bin folder and past the HPWTIOP4.DLL in there.
    Try scanning again.
Let me know how you make out.
    Thank You.
